typical italian manager thing, same with spanish managers to be coaching that passionately
Velazquez is also high entertainment here as Fortuna Sittard manager  110% passion into coaching the team and running down the lines of his coaching area where the 4th official has to stop him from crossing those lines :joker:
pay attention at Van Nistelrooy's coaching style too at PSV, he has potential i tell you for a good manager career as well, i think Ruud would be a nice one in some years time for Arsenal maybe? he also loves giving youth players lots of chances in the first

Tbh it was more that Arsenal were terrible (no offense to Girth) but their passing was really poor, and mostly colourblind.
As long as Man Utd doesn't do the same mistakes then they should at least be more competitive in terms of the scoreline.

Arsenal will drop more points by the end of the season. Mathematically its possible but I dont see it
Will the gap between 1st and 2nd be bigger than the gap between 2nd and 3rd at the end of the season
It’s gonna be fascinating end to the season
I haven’t given up on Arsenal as City have some tough games coming up and also play Real Madrid TWICE on top plus maybe Arsenal will now relax and get back to their best …
Then again they could completely capitulate and be overtaken by Newcastle ..
I also wonder if ManU will bottle 4th place especially if Liverpool continue to improve as they get key injured players back ..

City are a great team, but Arsenal were making mistakes that were just basic imo.
I mean there were so many times that Arsenal would pass the ball into an area of the pitch where anyone with eyes could see Man City players were surrounding, but Arsenal would still launch a pass into those areas regardless.
Having said all of that, I do get that the Arsenal squad doesn't have the depth in quality that Man City has.

If Thiago wants to play Handball the Sport is out there for him to play it, instead of nearly costing his team the win.

I’d rather not think about bullyboy jogging around , crashing into tackles with his elbows out , pointing where he wants his teammates to pass to ( as they obviously can’t be trusted to decide for themselves) ..
Check out the recent breakaway Hammers goal where Bowen was sprinting up the right side … Rice is just behind him screaming and pointing to switch the player to the left … Bowen ignored him and just as he made a through ball Rice was throwing his arms around in disgust.. it turned out to be the perfect pass and the player scored ..

Player ratings
Rice:5 Completely dominated in the first half as Palace swarmed. One of the many players bypassed by the quicker and more energetic Palace team.
Declan Rice – 6
Was tidy without the ball and helped his side defensively whenever he could. However, some of his passes went awry and he did not command the midfield as he usually does. He might blame the lack of movement around him, but given the standards he’s set from the past, this wasn’t among his better games.
Declan Rice 5
Looked a frustrated figure but was well below his own best, despite some nice carries.

I actually like Brighton, our yard was next to the Amex when it was being built at the time, and it's the easiest (not the closest) PL Stadium for me to get to. It's just outside of the City. Although i hope Wolves get a goal, i have no chance whatsoever of even getting close in the tibbs league now, but still have a chance of winning the other one im in, and the guy who's top has Dunk.

They are also so strong at the end of the season....I fear for 3rd june :worry:
They've been lucky the last two games imo.
Arsenal were terrible, and yesterday only a penalty separated them from Fulham.
Man City are a very good team don't get me wrong, but the last couple of games have been handed to them either by incompetence from the opposition or the Referee loving to give penalties to the so called Big Six when they take on a non-Big Six team.

Hopefully Chelsea will be next after they've hopefully lost to Arsenal first.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has assisted a goal in five consecutive #PL matches for a second time (also August 2019), the first player ever to have two such runs in the competition's history [emoji1628]

thats simply not true mock, arsenal were terrible because city made them play terrible with their tactics and city were never out of 2nd gear against fulham. Unlike Arsenal they have a ton of games yet to play and need to conserve their energy for their remaining games
Relegation is likely to cost the clubs involved £60m in the first year. Thats a lot of player wages

Arsenal were making passes on that day that even Championship teams wouldn't have made in that game, Man City to give credit to them capitalized on Arsenal's below par performance, but it was definitely a below par performance from them because they are doing what we all normally joke that Tottenham do, which is choke on the big stage.
And the Fulham game the Referee gave them a penalty in a tight scoreline, plus denied giving Fulham a stonewall penalty with Kyle Walker hugging the opposition player, which might've made the game finish 2-2
Look I'm not denying that Man City are a great team, heck taking advantage of these situations being handed to them probably highlights that to some extent, but especially in that Arsenal game I honestly believe that Man City didn't really do much because in fairness they didn't have to.

Arsenal were making those passes because they had no other choice, because city forced them to play that way. Teams don't suddenly become bad when they meet superior opposition. Arsenal were completely outplayed by superior opposition
and you can moan about ref decisions till the cows come home. It's how it has always been
Referees' body PGMOL says it "strongly refutes" suggestions by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp that referee Paul Tierney's actions were "improper" during Sunday's 4-3 win over Tottenham.
The Football Association is also looking into Klopp's post-match comments after he said Tierney appears to have something "against" his team.
The German was shown a yellow card for celebrating Liverpool's 94th-minute winner in front of the fourth official and later claimed what Tierney said to him was "not OK".
The PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited), said Tierney "acted in a professional manner" throughout the game and when cautioning Klopp.
What happened?
Diogo Jota scored the winner for the Reds just 99 seconds after Richarlison made it 3-3 - with Liverpool having led 3-0 inside 15 minutes.
Klopp was furious with Spurs being awarded a free-kick which led to their equaliser and ran to scream at the fourth official after the winner, but hurt his leg in front of the Tottenham bench.
He was shown a yellow card by the referee after his celebration.
"We have our history with Tierney, I really don't know what he has against us," Klopp told Sky Sports. "He has said there [are] no problems but that cannot be true.
"How he looks at me, I don't understand it. In England nobody has to clarify these situations, it's really tricky and hard to understand.
"What he said to me when he gave me the yellow card is not OK."
PGMOL, the body responsible for Premier League referees, said: "PGMOL is aware of the comments made by Jurgen Klopp after his side's fixture with Tottenham Hotspur.
"Match officials in the Premier League are recorded in all games via a communications system.
"Having fully reviewed the audio of referee Paul Tierney from today's fixture, we can confirm he acted in a professional manner throughout including when issuing the caution to the Liverpool manager.
"So, therefore, we strongly refute any suggestion that Tierney's actions were improper."
Former England striker Alan Shearer told BBC Match of the Day: "Paul Tierney could have sent Diogo Jota off and he [Klopp] isn't too quick to mention that.
"Jurgen Klopp was lucky, when he went to the fourth official, just to get the yellow card and it's not the first time he has done it."

Todd Boehly unfortunately is letting your team down with underwhelming Manager picks.
I like Potter and Lampard, but no way should either of them be anywhere near Chelsea Football Club as a Manager.

But Todd Boehly hired him after knowing from his other jobs that Lampard isn't a great Manager, but still hired him anyway, that is Boehly's responsibility for doing that imo.

It's not all down to the manager, if watch how lacklustre some of the players are, you'll see they just have little, to no interest. No passion, no grit, it's like they gave up on this season months ago.
The re appointment of Lamps was an absolute joke though. There's still time for Lampard to become a good manager, but he needs to start again in the lower leagues. He could use his experience at Chelsea as a good thing in the long run.
The statisticians have been out in force, and if Tuchel had remained in charge with his points per game average at the beginning of the season, chelsea would have been in the top 4 now

Hardly any Chelsea fans wanted him gone either. Not looked at the stats on it, but without his points, Chelsea would most likely be bottom of the league right now.
If Bohely gets bored with all this losing, accepts his huge losses and tries to sell Chelsea, who's gonna want to buy them? It's becoming a scary reality that this could be the beginning of the end for Chelsea as a PL football club. I fear the absolute collapse of Chelsea football club is imminent.

Lampard as a manager in the PL with Chelsea - 40 games, 31 losses. Last 20 games - 1W, 2D, 17L

i don't think Poch is the man to fix things, so next season is going to get off to a bad start. I think it's a vanity project for Bohely. He thought he could make a ton of money with little knowledge. They are going to have to dump players, they have 30 in the squad, Man City have 24, but it will be like a fire sale, they will be giving players away to take them off their wage bill

We need a manager the players want to play for, and im not sure who that is?! Poch? Probably not.
I mean, Klopp moans and whines all the time, but look at his passion, look at how his players LOVE playing for him. That's what Chelsea need. Managing Chelsea has aged Lampard by about 50 years. It's sad, but he's an utter embarrassment and not a leader, the players can see that. Poch is quite stone faced, but he is passionate, and he can't be any worse than Lampard (i couldn't be any worse than Lampard tbf). Going backwards in hiring managers has been a huge failure with Lampard, as literally 99.9% of Chelsea fans predicted.
Break the bank for Zidane? But he wont come. If Tuchel fails at Bayen? Apologise and ask back? Who knows. But the whole situation is dire atm.
Tuchel was apparently fired because he objected to Bohely bringing his pals into the dressing room at half time. I don't know how much truth there is in that, but what the actual ****

Wouldn't surprise me. If true, that pretty much sums his ownership so far. I know Tuchel had a rocky relationship with the PSG owners who have been very much hands on in recent years. So yeah, makes sense tbh.
Fcking tragic. I have a very real hatred for Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs. And to a lesser extent, Man Utd (sorry, my first ever game as a young kid was the 94
cup final in which you thrashed us, took me years to get over that one  ) but i wouldn't want any of them out of the PL. Loved the bitter rivalries with Liverpool and Spurs over the years. And the somewhat bitter rivalries with Utd and Arsenal.
Of course a lot of people will be gunning for Chelsea to carry on failing - "the team who ruined english football" and all that crap. But in reality, Chelsea's demise would be detrimental to the game over all.

yup always blame the manager when a team is losing
never the players
poor Lamps :( i'd more love to see him in our eredivisie then, i do think he could still be a decent manager over here, very decent teams with not too high expectations - Go Ahead Eagles (we've had brits coaching them before, Calderwood to name one) or i do believe RKC Waalwijk got a vacancy as well after Oosting signed with Twente for next season, they are also fairly decent surprisingly mid table this season, Sparta Rotterdam is also good team for him, surprisingly sub top level this season 6th where they are usually around 14th, 15th fight for survival
He has to go. Problem is, as a player he was a winner, and world class at that, he can't accept defeat.
Start from scratch or just quit managing. Become a pundit or something.
