Why did Liverpool buy Gakpo’s twin brother ?

Chelsea are giving it a good go, but our lack in quality is showing.
I was gonna be cheeky and say it’s a typical mid table clash but it looks more like a relegation battle

The commentary on the US casting im watching said it was like a mid table clash.
Mudryk must be wondering what on Earth he’s done ..

Don;t be ridiculous, he's been on the pitch for 5 mins. He knows Chelsea are rebuilding.
Mudryk looks really quick and alert

I meant when he was watching the first 60 minutes !!!
Plus he could have joined Arsenal ..clear at the top of the league and playing beautiful football .. I don’t understand why he’d chose a club in rebuilding stage , with a manager under immense pressure

Chelsea haven't been bad tbf, this is still Liverpool at Anfield. We've had the better chances and looked the better team. And he's really been going for it since he came on.
you can see the difference in chelsea since he came on
And yeah he could of, but Arsenal are only just coming back to challenge for League for how many years??? How many leagues have Chelsea won, how many Champions Leagues have Chelsea won since Arsenal won the league?
Arsenal are having a great season, and look very good. But in Mudryk's life time Chelsea compared to Arsenal has been night and day.
Yeah BOTS, it looks extremely promising!!

We’re not living in the past though .. Arsenal have the youngest squad in the league and just added another highly skilled player yesterday.. they are the team to worry about in the coming o
Chelsea despite the half a billion spent in the last two windows have shown us nothing of late .. I can’t even see the manager lasting the season

He will be a threat simply with his speed as Milner found out but other than that little dribble (that came to nothing ) I’ve been underwhelmed with his first 20 minutes… he’s miscontrolled the ball twice which surprised me actually.
He will prob score three in the last ten minutes now LOL

Klopp is having a bad tempered fit over nothing
Apparently Chelsea have spent more in the last two transfer windows than Liverpool have spent in the last TEN YEARS!!

What are you on about, he looked pretty good, he needs to start next game, and when Feilx is back, we could start to turn this sh!t around.
Chelsea didn;t look awful today, a draw isn't bad at all.
i would think chelsea would be the happier with that result

Thing is, every time Chelsea make an approach for a player, the players club will automatically add 40% to the players true value. And you can't blame Chelsea for spending, so many players flop, they need to take some responsibility too.
i would think chelsea would be the happier with that result
Even though overall we were the better team, and just for 30 mins Mudryk showed promise, and he has plenty of potential. Im confident, i don't think we'll get CL, but hopefully things start to turn around for us a bit now.

The best you can say about Mudryk is that he’s speedy with fast feet . He showed a few nice touches but I expected sooo much more .
It actually makes sense given he’s only started SEVENTEEN first team games in his career !!!
I’m more than happy now I’ve seen him in the flesh against a dreadful Liverpool team as I was gutted that the move to Arsenal fell though .
I bet Trossard impresses more for Arsenal tomorrow
:)

You are jumping the gun with Mudryk. He's only been at Chelsea for about 5 mins. He came on and did the best he could in 30 mins, with poor attacking options around him. Lets give him a few more games before we start calling him a flop, jezz man.
As for Trossard impressing, you think he'll even start tomorrow? I doubt it. He's a good player, but will be interesting to see how he gets on when he isn't the centre of attention at Arsenal, like he was at Brighton. He was Brighton's star. No he's in a team full of international stars. Good luck to him. But you're getting carried away imo (in before he scores a hatrick tomorrow  )

Time will tell..
Watching Mudryk on YouTube/TikTok he has amazing control but today he just looked decent .. his first touch running on to the that pass into the box was very poor and went out for a goal kick ..then his first touch for that cross into the box from Ziyech was poor .
When did you ever see Ziyech / Mahrez or the like mis-control the ball.
The lad should do well enough just with his speed and dribbling but I saw enough to say that he’s no world beater .
Have you seen the Brentford managers comments on him ??
They had a deal agreed last season for him for about £25 million

Again, he looked sharp, helped make a few attacks, his first game for a new club, new country, we will see if he comes good. But he can't be judged on 30 mins.
Yeah well that was last season, and like i say, when Chelsea shows interest a player automatically becomes 40% more valuable than he actually is.
Ziyech and Mahrez can be awful/non existent is games at times, especially Ziyech.
You're being way too hard on Mudryk, based on his first 30 mins for Chelsea. Which was a perfectly fine 30 mins, he showed potential.
next up, a real pressure game ... WH vs Everton

I am left thinking with all the decisions now via VAR.
Just how many matches would have had different results and different teams winning the title even if it had been in use from decades ago.
Also teams maybe not being relegated either.
It's almost heading to the point now, where if a player scores there'll have to be a wait to see if VAR says he actually has.
I'm less sure that the use of VAR is or will improve the game.

I hate VAR and so do the players .
There is no point celebrating a goal because quite often the players are mocked by fans when it’s cancelled out by VAR
VAR wasn’t meant to be there for disallowing goals by a millimetre as the old rule was that they gave the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team

I agree with all that Zizu.
there was a stone wall penalty on grealish refused by VAR
Yeah that was pretty clear cut. Absolutely no consistency from VAR.
haaland has now scored 30 goals in all competitions this season
edit ... make that 31 :joker:

Arsenal have 50 points from 19 matches (16-2-1) after beating ManU 3-2.
Wenger's invincible team only had 45 at the midway point of the 2002-03 season (13-6-0).

It would have been interesting to see him up against Partey in midfield although I thought United were decent and Arsenal were under par .

Man U forced arsenal into making errors and vice versa. The thing is, the majority of teams that would have given Arsenal a good game have been poor this season, so basically the stars have aligned for Arsenal. Thats great, it's nice to have a change at the top, but teams can very quickly drop form too and it's going to be a tough second half for Arsenal to keep at that level

Those two league games against ManC are sooooo critical now . I think that if Arsenal can get two draws or just one win they should take the league ..
If City win both I can actually see City running away with the title again

He’s apparently a nice enough guy but I’ve always thought he’s probably one of the most overrated players of the last decade ( along with Declan Rice ) .
Sterling has possibly the worst first touch I’ve ever seen in 50+ years of watching football so when everyone was saying he was one of the best players in world football I was completely mystified

Called itYesterday, and maybe Newcastle, are the only games where we've missed Gabriel Jesus. You need to remember that he's going to come back.
We've lost two in a row. Its concerning but I think we'll be fine against Brentford next week at home. We played well against City but ultimately switched off for their goal. Yesterday, Everton had a new manager bounce. Arsenal had 70% possession but Everton did great job in shutting down our main attacking threat.
Man City are capable of going on a ten game winning run but the way they're currently playing I don't think they're capable of it at the moment. Liverpool look out of sort.
I dont see how you think Arsenal will implode. Is it more you hope they implode than anything else?
I don't know what's happened to city, but i don't see them coming out ahead over the 2 games against arsenal. They used to have 1 off day and then they were back with a vengeance, that's just not happening this season. Its actually feasible that united overtake them the way things are going

A few people have highlighted Haaland as the problem. I think they may be onto something. He always plays, he plays every minute. Pep took Aguero or Jesus off after sixty minutes in just about every game. Haaland changes the dynamic of the team. The teams who have been successful against just concentrate on Haaland. It seems to be getting results.

Strange saying that after he's scored 20 odd goals so far but something's clearly not right at City.
they have plenty players that are capable of scoring goals in their own right though and they are not consistent at the moment either, to me, the team just seem half a yard off the pace

none of these offences are clear cut. The premier league would lose its status as the big money machine which the premier league and all the clubs in it benefit from. There are literally billions at stake. That's why nothing will happen

It's a house of cards, there isn't a team in the premier league that won't have done something dodgy at some point in the last 15 years. We all know it and if Man City are penalised, fingers will be pointed in all directions and the premier league will lose its appeal. Money always talks

Man City are having a Season of change, which will always knock a team's performance, even with a top team with a top Manager.
They'll probably still win the League this season anyway.

thats not usually where seasons are won or lost. It's slipping up against smaller teams that loses the league as the pressure builds.
Everton showed how Arsenal could be beaten, so i expect a lot more games like that in the 2nd half of the season
