Revolver Single – UK Press Release
Madonna ‘Revolver’
New Single Feat. Lil Wayne Out December 14th
Featured On ‘Celebration’ – The Definitive Greatest Hits
Hot on the spurs of Madonna’s Top 3 single ‘Celebration’, the Queen of Pop releases her brand new explosive and highly energised single ‘Revolver’ featuring Lil Wayne out December 14th.
The track features on Madonna’s Greatest Hits Record, ‘Celebration’, which charted at No.1 in the UK and brings Madonna level with Elvis Presley’s record of eleven UK number one albums. No other solo artist can match this achievement. Only The Beatles, with a total of fifteen, have had more number one albums in chart history.
‘Celebration’ has sold over 2 million copies worldwide already, including 300,000 (platinum) in the UK.
‘Revolver’, which was recorded in New York is written and produced by Madonna and features contributing rap vocals by Lil Wayne. Included on the CD are the following indispensable remixes:
‘Revolver’ Madonna vs David Guetta (One Love Remix)
‘Celebration’ (Akon Remix)
‘Celebration’ – the definitive greatest hits CD covers the expanse of the Material Girl’s extraordinary career of hits including ‘Everybody’, ‘Express Yourself’, ‘Vogue’ and ‘4 Minutes’. The ‘Celebration’ DVD includes Madonna’s best videos including several that have never before been available on DVD.
Madonna has racked up a record-smashing 63 UK Top Ten hits, 13 UK No.1 singles as well as 11 UK No.1 albums. A multi Grammy award winning singer, writer and producer, she has had more UK number 1’s than any other female artist and is the most successful female solo artist ever.
Don’t miss a rare 2-part Madonna interview with Ben Shephard on GMTV, December 7th & 8th, where she discusses her life and extensive career.

Revolver - Tracy Young's Shoot To Kill Mix
MadonnaTribe readers know that DJ Tracy Young was one of the remixers asked to give their own treatment to Madonna's new single since we first reported of the upcoming "Revolver" remixes on October 14th.
Now it's Tracy's turn to spill more beans and let the fans know that her "Revolver" mix is called "Tracy Young's Shoot To Kill Mix" and is currently topping her own Top Ten:
"I'm busy with Genesis VII and in the studio" - Tracy' writes in her newest mail-out - "I'm working on several exciting remix projects, some available now, some on the way. One project I'm really so into and thankful for is my mix of Madonna's "Revolver featuring Lil Wayne".
"It's one of my favorites and hope it will be one of yours."

In The Media: Snoop Calling
Snoop Dogg is holding out for a collaboration with either the Rolling Stones or Madonna - because he wants to experience what it's like not to be "the big one" on a track.
The rapper has worked with a host of stars as diverse as Willie Nelson and Justin Timberlake, but his sights are still aimed high for a really big duet.
He tells Nylon Guys magazine, "I wanna be on a track where I'm not the big one. I wanna do a Madonna or a Rolling Stones or a Quincy Jones - something where their name is bigger than mine. "Something where it's like, 'Wow, I can't believe Snoop Dogg is on a track with Rascal Flatts!'"
From Contactmusic.
(It's worth noticing that Snoop Dogg and Madonna somehow worked together already as they've been both part of the voice cast of the first episode of Luc Besson's "Arthur and the Invisibles" animated saga).

Madonna on Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Songs of the Decade
66. Madonna — “Music”
Despite all the new pop starlets out there trying to jump her train, Madonna definitely was not slackening the pace. When she dropped “Music,” she was older than Britney and Christina combined, yet she took them to school with vintage electro-boom, Eurodisco flourishes from French producer Mirwais, and her own inimitable sass.
76. Madonna — “Hung Up”

Madonna ‘rejected X Factor Stacey duet’
Madonna reportedly turned down the chance to perform a duet with Stacey Solomon on Saturday night’s X Factor.
According to The Sun, the pop superstar had been in talks to team up with Dannii Minogue’s act for the final, but her team eventually rejected the offer because she does not have new material or a tour to promote.
A source said: “We were told she wasn’t in promotion so it wasn’t going to happen. It’s a shame as she’d have been brilliant and given the show a real lift, especially with Stacey.”
Saturday’s episode saw Solomon perform with Michael Bublé. Meanwhile, Olly Murs sang with Robbie Williams and eventual winner Joe McElderry was partnered with George Michael.
The mother-of-one finished in third place at the weekend, leaving Murs and McElderry to battle it out in last night’s final showdown.

Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana – Pictures
Exclusive in this week’s Italian edition of Vanity Fair is the worldwide preview of Dolce & Gabbana’s new spring/summer 2010 campaign featuring pop icon Madonna.
Madonna’s private life is seldom out of the papers but this new Dolce & Gabbana campaign is unlike anything you have seen before. Exit the paparazzo, these shots by Steven Klein reveal much more than a grainy stolen picture, they showcase an intimate, real aspect to the ultimate icon’s life.
In keeping with Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection’s emphasis on Mediterranean heritage and classic Italian sensuality, the mood isn’t unlike a film from the days of Italian Neorealism. Madonna herself recalls the strong, raw sensuality of the iconic actress Anna Magnani – showcasing when soft sensuality meets bold authenticity.
When asked as to whether Madonna knows how to wash dishes, Stefano Gabbana replies “Certainly…she’s a very practical woman…” And does she actually eat spaghetti despite her most enviable figure? “Of course, says Stefano, and she can allow herself to with all the exercise she does!”

More on the Dolce & Gabbana campaign
When we first learned that Madonna would be fronting Dolce & Gabbana’s new spring ads, we couldn’t wait to see what the pop icon and the Italian designers had up their sleeves. For her latest high-fashion role, the Queen of Pop teamed up with famed photographer Steven Klein to capture a side of the star hardly ever seen: the housewife!
Inspired by iconic Italian actress Anna Magnani in the 1951 Luchino Visconti film Bellissima, the ad campaign seeks to capture a woman’s human side through the simplicity of daily gestures, according to Dolce & Gabbana. Clad in crocheted tops and dresses, floral skirts and leopard spots from the Italian label, Madonna washes dishes, eats spaghetti with her fingers and chops
vegetables.
The 8 campaign images were shot in black and white in Manhattan and will appear in magazines worldwide at the beginning of January.

Madonna crowned most famous celebrity of the decade
Madonna has been crowned the most famous celebrity of the decade with more articles written about her than anyone else.
The 51-year-old star was the focus of more than 45,000 stories since 2000.
Her nearest rival was Robbie Williams – with just under 28,000 newspaper mentions.
The celebrity of the decade survey was conducted by Liv, the UK’s first online TV channel.
Britney Spears and David and Victoria Beckham make up the rest of the top five.
But this year no one could compete with king of pop Michael Jackson who was easily the most talked about star.
The tragic legend was the focus of 6,838 articles – covering both his planned comeback concerts and his untimely death in June.
Meanwhile the award for most-improved celebrity goes to Simon Cowell who garnered just 18 stories in 2000 – but by this year was the written about over 6,000 times.

Madonna sends children in Malawian orphanage Christmas presents
Friends of Madonna’s adopted daughter sang carols at their orphanage… wearing Crocs sent as Xmas gifts by the star.
The footwear was in a truckload of presents from little Mercy, four, to the children she grew up with at the Kondanani orphanage in Malawi, delivered by an African Santa Claus.
Madonna, 51, also threw a party with fizzy drinks, hamburgers and chocolate at the orphanage and sent a Christmas card. The gifts were handed to more than 80 children with tags reading “Love from Mercy”. Orphan Chitsanzo, six, said: “I am very happy my friend Mercy bought us shoes, toys, chocolates and cakes. They are very beautiful.” Her friend Happiness, four, added: “I’m so happy I have received Christmas gifts. I have my own toys now.”
Carers said it was the most presents the children had ever received.

Six Directions For Madonna's Next Album
Madonna is currently at work on a new album, which is expected to be unleashed some time in 2010. She has stayed relevant in the music business by constantly reinventing herself, taking in new genres and musical experiments and making them her own. She is meticulous about how she selects collaborators, because they inform the sound of the albums as much at Madge herself.
One of the confirmed producers working on the still-unnamed work is Brendan O'Brien, who made a name for himself sitting behind the boards for Pearl Jam and has also helmed productions for Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC and Aerosmith. Does that mean that the singer behind "Like a Prayer," "Ray of Light" and "Hung Up" is going to dive deep into the rock world and make a guitar-based album?
It's a possibility, though reports also have A-Trak (a Kanye West collaborator) and David Guetta (of "Sexy Chick" fame) working on the album as well, which suggests that it's a combination of roots rock, futuristic hip-hop and whatever Akon makes. With that in mind, here are six directions Madonna could go in.
Rock Opera
Madonna has theater experience (she famously lobbied hard to play Eva Peron in the film version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Evita") but has never really constructed an album based on a narrative (and the disastrous American Life shouldn't count). She could bring in Green Day producer Rob Cavallo to beef up her rock chops and flesh out her own version of American Idiot.
Electro-Rap Posse Album
If A-Trak is on board, she should expand her horizons and invite a cavalcade of MCs to throw down with her on a full-on rap album. We're certain that Lupe Fiasco, Dizzee Rascal, Mos Def, Rhymefest and Kanye would all probably be game to trade verses with Madonna, who is not necessarily a stranger to spitting. Remember her verse on "American Life"?
Metal
Though she's lorded over some tough dance beats in the past, truly hard music has never been her forte and remains an uncharted territory for the star. O'Brien has produced music for metallers like Mastodon and Incubus, so he's ready, willing and able to crank Madonna's sound up to 11 and really let her rip.
Country Rock
Madonna isn't above aping a current star, and with Taylor Swift cranking out huge hits in big numbers, why wouldn't she attempt to add country to her repertoire? O'Brien has produced twangy records for Springsteen and Pete Droge, and Madonna herself has toyed with country and dance sounds for "Don't Tell Me."
Straight Disco
Maybe all these producers are just there to throw us off the scent, and her plan is to actually crank out an even deeper-diving disco record. After all, her recent single "Celebration" was well-received, and the throwback sounds on 2008's Hard Candy wowed both the dance and pop worlds. Perhaps she just wants to make ABBA tunes for the rest of her career (which wouldn't be such a bad thing, really).
No Limit Revival
She could fire everybody, recruit Master P's Beats by the Pound crew and shout along to some late-'90s New Orleans bounce. That probably won't happen, but Silkk the Shocker could use the work.

Roma people to give Madonna gold plaque
The self-proclaimed king of the Roma said Tuesday he wants to give Madonna a gold plaque to thank the singer for criticizing discrimination against his people.
Madonna performed in Bucharest in August as part of her “Sticky and Sweet” tour, and at the concert said she was “very sad” because of the “discrimination against Romas and Gypsies in general in eastern Europe”.
Self-declared king Florin Cioaba said the Roma wanted to show their appreciation for the US star’s gesture.
“Madonna deserves great credit. She drew the whole world’s attention to discrimination against the Roma,” Cioaba told journalists in the central Romanian town of Sibiu.
The plaque has been ordered from a jeweler in Italy and will be made from 24-carat gold, the Romanian news agency Mediafax reported.
Romania has one of Europe’s largest communities of Roma, an ethnic minority believed to originate from the Indian subcontinent often referred to as Gypsies.
Discrimination against the group in Romania continues: a survey last September found that seven out of 10 Romanians would not want a Roma to be part of their family, and Madonna was jeered by the crowd when she made her remarks at the concert.
Last year Amnesty International criticised the Romanian authorities’ lack of action to tackle discrimination against Roma, a problem it said was “widespread and deeply ingrained in (people’s) minds.”

That would be good but a bit more techno and edgy sound. Shoe could work with these producers but still have a pop influence in the sounding.

Give It 2 Me the best single from Hard Candy. Shame about the premotion about the album it was quite poor and Celebration too.
I hope it does too and glad you are buying the DVD.
Some news now.
Brendan O’Brien not working with Madonna
Internet rumors have been swirling about whom Madonna has pegged to produce her next album, the follow-up to 2008’s “Hard Candy.” Among the more surprising–and exciting– names bandied about over the past two weeks was Grammy Award-winning rock producer Brendan O’Brien, of Pearl Jam/Rage Against the Machine/Bruce Springsteen fame.
We reached out to O’Brien for another story, but couldn’t resist asking him about Madonna. He goodnaturedly reminded us not to believe everything we read. “No one has contacted me about working with Madonna,” he says. “Someone actually showed me something today that said that Bruce Springsteen was going to fire me because I’d worked with Madonna. It was awesome. It’s really hilarious. I’m a huge fan of Madonna’s but no one has talked to me. The internet is bulls***. You can write that down.”

yeah hard candy was good but it just seems like she tried to appeal to the younger fan base but what madonna doesnt realise is that she has a massive fan base, look at how well hard candy did though Went NO.1 Every country near enough.
Madonna is the queen of pop, but then again so is britney in my eyes :)

Another message from Madonna.
Dear friend,
I'm sure that you, like me, have been heartbroken by the images coming out of Haiti since the devastating earthquake shook the impoverished nation on Tuesday.
My prayers are with the people of Haiti. I can't imagine the terrible pain and suffering they are experiencing. Sadly, the depths of the tragedy are just becoming known and the need for our support grows more urgent with every passing moment.
I have given a donation of $250,000 to assist Haiti's earthquake victims through Partners in Health, one of Haiti's leading health care providers. I urge all of my friends and fans around the world to join me collectively to match my contribution or give in any way you can.
Please donate to Partners in Health now:
www.raisingmalawi.org/partnersinhealth
Many of you will remember Dr. Paul Farmer, a founding director of Partners in Health, from my film, "I Am Because We Are." Paul is a medical anthropologist and a physician who has dedicated his life to treating some of the world's poorest populations.
Paul has been working alongside Haitians for decades, empowering them to improve their own communities. His dedication to Haiti and his transformative work there has inspired my own work in Malawi.
I realize I've asked for your help before. But when the suffering of tens of thousands of people comes into our homes and touches us the way the situation in Haiti has, I believe we are called to act.
Right now, Partners in Health is rushing to provide medical supplies and additional staff to the 120 doctors and hundred of nurses they already have on the ground in Haiti. Supplies are quickly running out.
I'm inspired by Partners in Health, and I whole-heartedly support their work. Please join me in supporting their relief efforts, which are needed more now than ever before.
www.raisingmalawi.org/partnersinhealth
We cannot sit idly by and watch the suffering of so many. We must act now.
Thank you for your support,
Madonna
Jessica.

Dolce & Gabbana 'feared' hiring Madonna for campaign
Top Italian fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana had to think twice before approaching Madonna and asking her to be the new face of their luxury label, because they feared a business deal would sour their friendship.
Madonna was unveiled as the spokesmodel for Dolce & Gabbana's spring/summer 2010 campaign last year when black and white shots of the pop superstar, taken by noted photographer Steven Klein, hit the Internet, and the celebrated designers admit they hesitated at the thought of working with the Material Girl.
Gabbana tells W Magazine, 'There was a sort of fear on our behalf of asking Madonna to do anything business. We thought it could impact our relationship, and Madonna is one of the few people we're really in awe of. To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.'

Madonna on Slant’s Best Singles of the Aughts list
36. Madonna, “Hung Up”
“Hung Up” employs a ticking clock to represent fear of wasted time, but Madonna isn’t singing about aging or saving the world—she’s talking about love. It had been years since Madge sounded this vapid. With its pitched-upward vocals, infectious arpeggio sample from ABBA’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight),” and the bridge’s unironic, archetypical key change, the track decidedly points to the past, and it proved that, 20 years into her career, Madonna was still the one and only Dancing Queen. SC
33. Madonna, “Don’t Tell Me”
Madonna’s Y2K-era dalliances with electronica could oftentimes verge on the theoretical, so it’s a tad ironic that the one hit from her Orbit-Mirwais daze that still packs fully loaded pistols is also the most engrossed in chemistry-set beat science. “Don’t Tell Me” is first and foremost a concoction: two parts corn pone, one part glitch, with reliable disco strings to serve as the catalyst. What seals the deal, though, is that lyrically Madonna’s on board too. Tell the peanut butter of acoustic guitars to stay away from the chocolate of digital bass drones, but don’t tell Madonna she can’t eat both and spit back manna. EH
25. Madonna, “Music”
From its generic title to Madonna’s anonymous vocal performance, “Music” is a blank slate of a song. To wit, the song has had almost as many makeovers as Madonna herself. Okay, so not quite that many, but each of the performer’s tours during the last decade has featured a new incarnation of the song: Kraftwerk-inspired electronica, ’70s disco, and most recently, ’80s hip-hop (the next logical embodiment would be ’90s house). If music truly is a universal language, then “Music”—in all of its meta reinventions and retro dialects—might be the best piece of evidence we have that music really does make the people come together. SC

David Guetta working on Madonna’s new Album!…
Guetta, who recently whipped up material for Madonna’s upcoming album, explains that what he loves about working with such varied artists “is that our music can reach people that are not even from hip hop or electro” scenes. “It’s just music that touches your soul.”…
Tell us about the first time you went into the studio with Kelly Rowland.
DG: It was magic. It was incredible. It was the first time I worked with an R&B singer. I feel like when it comes to to sound and energy, nobody can beat us, dance music producers. When it comes to singing and melodies, nobody can beat urban artists. They have soul. So it was the perfect combination. I’m now working on Kelly’s new album. I also have the new Madonna album coming up. So I’m very thankful to Kelly and Will and Akon—all those people who came to me when I was not big.

Madonna on Slant’s Best Albums Of The Aughts list
38. Madonna, Confessions on a Dance Floor
Confessions on a Dance Floor could’ve just as easily been called Ghost of Madonnas Past: at once a thumping tribute to the restorative power of dance music (this was the workout album of the decade if there was one) and a treatise on the singer’s own fame (“I spent my whole life wanting to be talked about”), in which all her musical tics headily come to fore (singing in foreign languages? Check. Faux-tribalistic hymn? Check.). References to the past are everywhere, from the ABBA sample of “Hung Up” to her silly love letter to the city where she got her start, “I Love New York,” but Madonna has always been a thoroughly postmodern pop artist, and as such, songs like “Hung Up,” Sorry,” and “Forbidden Love” aren’t so much throwbacks as updates of the disco sound to which she’s indebted. PS
31. Madonna, Music
Though Madonna would collaborate with William Orbit on three tracks on her follow-up to Ray of Light, the album otherwise represented a seismic shift from its predecessor’s warm-and-gooey spirituality (a Book of Revelation to many fans, anathema to others). Mirwais’s defiantly experimental, Eurotrashy, wholly artificial production—awash in Auto-Tune and Nintendo beats—was bound to disappoint some, but no one does ersatz like Madonna, and fittingly, this is also one of her most soul-bearing works, from the feminist “What It Feels Like for a Girl,” to the Toni Morrison-alluding “Paradise (Not for Me), to “Nobody’s Perfect,” a slow burn that’s never less than affecting. Rumor: Madonna conducts dance-off at club
Madonna seemed to be holding auditions at Meatpacking District hot spot SL on Wednesday night. “She was looking for new dancers for her upcoming tour,” said a source. More than 30 wannabes formed a circle around her and conducted a dance-off. “It was pretty epic,” our spy says. “Some professionals were doing flips and spins, while the amateurs sort of just stared.” Madonna’s own deejay, Tony Touch, got on the turntables while Knicks star Danilo Gallinari and singer Eve looked on.

Madonna in Rio for Carnival
Madonna leads a charge of celebrities descending on Rio de Janeiro for the city’s famously sexy Carnival starting this weekend.
The pop star triggered screams from fans as she checked into an up-market hotel on Ipanema beach with her children in tow, Brazil’s Globo news website reported.
The frenzy added to a crowd already gathered in front of the hotel because of another singing guest lodged there – Beyonce, who was wrapping up a series of pre-Carnival Brazilian concerts as part of a Latin American tour.
Other celebrities expected to show up for Carnival, which runs from Saturday to next Tuesday, include Alicia Keys and Paris Hilton, according to star-gazing website Ofuxico.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Lindsay Lohan, however, have cancelled their plans to visit, the daily O Dia says.

OMG I fogot to post some news recently. You will have alot tonight. Here goes.
Madonna directing ‘W.E.
’Madonna, the queen of pop, has her eye on a king.
She’s set to direct “W.E.,” a biopic about the affair between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson that led to the Brit royal abdicating from the throne to marry his divorcee lover.
Vera Farmiga (“Up in the Air”) is eyeing the plum role of Simpson, who precipitated the most severe constitutional crisis in the English monarchy in the 20th century after Edward proposed to her, only months into his reign.
There is no word yet on who will play King Edward.
Madonna is writing the script with Alex Keshishian, who directed the multihyphenate in “Truth or Dare.”
Former Miramax exec Colin Vaines and David Parfitt are producing the pic. CAA is handling domestica sales while IM Global has international.
This will which will be Madonna’s second directorial effort; her first, “Filth and Wisdom,” preemed at Berlin in 2008. Simpson led a colorful life, having been married twice before her romance with Edward. The two of them, who lived the rest of their lives as the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, spent the best part of three decades living a life of leisure as social celebrities around the world.

Madonna wins Malawi land struggle
Madonna has won a dispute over the plot earmarked for her Malawi school, meaning villagers have been told to move from their homes.
In a land dispute pitting the singer against African villagers, Malawi’s government sided with Madonna who pumped millions into the impoverished southern African country and adopted two of its children.
Villagers were refusing to move from a plot of land near the capital, Lilongwe, where Madonna wants to build a 15 million US dollar school for girls.
The government, however, said it had originally planned to develop the plot, and only allowed the villagers to live there until a project was identified.
Lilongwe District Commissioner Charles Kalemba, accompanied by other government officials and representatives from Madonna’s Raising Malawi charity, met about 200 villagers and told them they would have to move. The villagers were offered other government land.
“Government allowed you to occupy this land because there was no project yet. But now that Madonna wants to build you a school you have to give way,” Mr Kalemba told the villagers. “You are lucky that Madonna has compensated you for your houses, gardens and trees.”
Anjimile Mtila-Oponyo, who will be principal of Madonna’s school, said the singer paid the villagers more than 16 million kwacha (about 115,000 US dollars) to compensate them for their houses – mostly mud-and-thatch structures – and improvements such as gardens and trees.
One villager said the 1,500 US dollars in compensation he received from Madonna for mango trees and three homes was not enough. He said his family had been living on his seven-acre plot for three generations.

Madonna - I Can't Forget (1995 demo)
9nRmbFQFetw
Rumor: Madonna to team up David Tennant
Madonna wants to direct a movie about King Edward VIII and is hoping the former Doctor will play the ex-monarch.
Madge was originally planning to star in the movie herself as Wallis, because she saw similarities between herself and the character.
But she is now in talks with Up In The Air star Vera Farmiga, 36, to take the role instead.
The part of King Edward hasn’t yet been cast but a source said: “Madonna’s interest in directing a drama was first revealed a year ago.
“She put it on hold while going through her divorce but is really keen to get into directing again and has her eye on David, having loved his work on Doctor Who.”

According to the composer of the hit Womanizer, Nikesh Briscoe, Madonna asked Britney to record a song with her, to be launched on the next Madonna album.
The divas have not met in person - Spears recorded a few weeks ago her part of the music in Los Angeles and now Madonna is in New York taping the rest. It seems that the track is produced by The Outsyders (Womanizer).

Liz Rosenberg leaves Warner, stays with Madonna
Liz Rosenberg, longtime publicity exec at Warner Bros. Records, is ankling to form her own praisery, Liz Rosenberg Media, the label announced Tuesday.
During the course of her 39-year career at the company, Rosenberg was closely associated with Madonna. The superstar vocalist – originally signed in 1983 to Warner’s distributed imprint Sire, and later head of her own imprint Maverick – exited the Burbank-based label last year for a 360-degree deal with Live Nation.
As part of an ongoing consultancy with the firm, Rosenberg will continue to rep Madonna, as well as current Warner acts Michael Buble, Cher, Stevie Nicks, David Foster, Charice and Katherine Jenkins.
Warner Bros. Records chief executive officer Tom Whalley said in a statement, “Over the course of her remarkable tenure, Liz Rosenberg’s contribution to the company has been immeasurable. We are delighted that as she begins her own enterprise, we will continue our association with her on behalf of several of our key artists.”

Two celebrities opinions on Madonna.
Leona Lewis on Madonna
Leona – who has been dating electrician Lou Al-Chamaa for five years – also hinted she may be tempted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps and release an explicit tome, after taking inspiration from the 51-year-old singer’s famous Sex book.
She said: “I have always loved Madonna. I was too young for her Sex book period, but then when I saw it I thought, ‘Wow!’ Good for her, if that’s how she wanted to express herself. Would I express myself like that? Well, you never know…”
While she admires Madonna, Leona says there’s one celebrity who has been very rude to her in the past but she refused to name them.

Naomi Campbell, Fan of Madonna
Naomi Campbell’s style icon is Madonna.
The supermodel – who won the Outstanding Contribution at this week’s Elle Style Awards – admires the ‘Material Girl’ singer’s fashion sense and her ability to reinvent herself time after time.
She said: “I think my style icons are people that reinvent themselves – they come back with a different look, a different vibe, a different sound and Madonna is definitely one of those people.
“It’s just amazing to watch her through all these decades-she just keeps coming back.”

Madonna 'gets record deal for Jesus Luz'
Madonna has reportedly secured a record deal for her model boyfriend Jesus Luz.
Luz has allegedly been signed by Madonna's former label Warner and will release his first single 'We Came From Light' in May.
"Madonna was determined to give Jesus all the help she can," a source told The Sun. "She holds a lot of sway at Warner, where she had a deal until very recently. But getting him on the books wasn't completely plain-sailing.
"There was a little give and take between her and execs, but a compromise was eventually settled upon."
Luz reportedly secured a two-single deal, with Warner getting first refusal on an album.
Madonna is said to have covered all of Luz's recording expenses and put him in touch with 'Frozen' remixer Victor Calderone.
"Madonna really wants Jesus's career to take off," the sourse added.
"She's been going through her Filofax and putting him in contact with as many of her influential pals as she can.
"She's worked with Victor for a very long time and he understands just what she likes. Having him rejig Jesus's tracks will give them a cool cachet which is essential to building a clubland buzz."
According to the report, Madonna has also recorded her vocals on a track, which could feature as a B-Side or on a remix.

Rumour: Madonna signs Abbie Cornish up to her new film
Madonna has persuaded hot actress Abbie Cornish to be in her film, based on the Edward VIII Abdication crisis.
The movie, W.E., tells parallel tales about Wallis Simpson in the 1930s and a contemporary woman called Wally Winthrop, who has romantic problems of her own – in addition to the fact that she’s obsessed with the Duchess of Windsor’s life.
Abbie, who starred opposite Ben Whishaw in Jane Campion’s film Bright Star, will play the part of Wally once negotiations have been finalized.
http://allaboutmadonna.com/images/news/LFI_BRIGHTSTAR40.jpg
Vera Farmiga will portray the Duchess.
At the supper following last Sunday’s Orange British Academy Film Awards, Vera told her deal for W.E. had not been completed.
The participation of both actresses depends on who is cast in the two main male roles – Edward VIII, who became the Duke of Windsor after he gave up the throne for the woman he loved, and a Russian security guard, who sexually satisfies the married Wally.
The W.E. script has shown considerable improvement compared to an earlier version by Madonna and Alex Keshishian that I saw last year – there have been many drafts.
Madonna travels to Los Angeles early next month to meet with potential leading men. Then she’ll head to London to inspect actors to play Edward.
The film will shoot from June on locations in London and the Home Counties, with short forays to New York and the South of France. Vera will also be in Los Angeles around the same time as Madonna.
She’s a contender in the best supporting actress category for her performance, opposite George Clooney, in Jason Reitman’s acclaimed best picture hopeful Up In The Air.
Australian-born Abbie first came to major attention in the film Somersault six years ago, as did Sam Worthington (who plays Jake in James Cameron’s Avatar).

Madonna has had a "huge row" with boyfriend Jesus Luz, reports claim.
The Mirror reports that the singer was overheard at a party in London, which she turned up to alone, talking about her problems with the 23-year-old.
"Everyone kept asking Madonna where Jesus was. In the end she confided they'd had a huge row the previous day," a source said. "He is due to be in Portugal for some DJ gigs, so she went to the Soho House party on her own and left him to pack his stuff and cool off."
The insider added: "She seemed to want to really let her hair down. She was drinking vintage Dom Perignon champagne, but switching it with mineral water.
"Then when the DJ played a string of her hits, she hit the floor. It was only when Elton did the rounds and asked how she was she stopped dancing."
The pair have had an on-off relationship for the last few months

Madonna Plays the Muse
“Collaboration. I like being his muse,” Madonna told us, explaining her relationship with photographer Tom Munro at a private party and opening last night, to celebrate the photographer’s first book, a collection of celebrity portraits. (Partial proceeds of of the book will go to Madonna’s charity, Raising Malawi, and M.E.A.K.) Madonna, wearing black fishnet stockings, leather skirt and dark sunglasses at 10 p.m. in a dark room, blew off the Weinstein Company party at Soho House and the Summit Entertainment reception for “The Hurt Locker” at the Mondrian, for the gallery opening, where she spent most of the time on the lap of Steven Klein, another celebrity fashion photographer.
Mr. Munro, who has directed a couple of videos with Madonna, said his dream was to move into the direction of feature films and he credited Madonna as “an inspiration. ”

Ewan McGregor has joined the cast of Madonna’s upcoming project W.E. to play Edward VIII.
McGregor, currently starring in Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer, will portray the British Monarch who famously abdicated the throne in 1936 order to marry America divorcee Wallis Simpson.
As previously announced Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga will portray Simpson. Abbie Cornish, most recently seen in Bright Star, will play a contemporary character in a parallel time line reminiscent of Julie & Julia.

Madonna (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/artists/madonna) is reportedly moving back to Britain.
The Give It To Me singer, who left the London for New York following her split with UK director Guy Ritchie (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/artists/guy-ritchie) is said to be returning to the capital for six months whilst she films new movie W.E.
A source has stated: “Madonna has rediscovered her interest in Britain. She's going to be filming her new movie about Wallis Simpson in London so it made sense for her to move back.”
The Queen of Pop will move back with her four children – Lourdes, Rocco, Mercy and David.
Ex-husband Ritchie is allegedly very happy about Madge’s decision to move back to London.
The source continued to The Sun: Guy is hoping the move will be permanent for his sake with the kids. He is desperate to get the kids over here and be able to see them more often. Rocco is so excited about it."
The 51-year old recently said that one of the reasons she quit Britain was because she couldn’t stand her nickname Madge.
She claimed: “That's one of the reasons I left England - so I don't have to hear the word 'Madge' any more. Some people say 'Madge' is a colloquialism for a boring middle-aged housewife. And other people say it's short for Majesty."
Madonna has reportedly signed up Ewan McGregor and Abbie Cornish to star alongside her in the new movie.

Jason Derulo to Work With Madonna!
Jason Derulo, who is no stranger now to storming the charts and working with powerhouse pop divas, is about to work with another legendary artist who is certainly familiar with the Top 10.
The rising R&B star, 21, just saw his first two singles off of his self-titled debut album hit the Billboard charts, has toured with fan Lady Gaga and this week nabbed the top spot in the Us Weekly Buzzometer. So what’s next? He’s on his way into the studio to work with Madonna! Derulo told our own Zach Johnson all about it plus other future plans (including his love life!) when he gave Us a ring the other day. Read on for more from Jason!
Us: Are there any other artists you’d like to tour with or maybe collaborate with musically?
JD: Yeah. I’m about to work with Madonna, and I’ve been watching her for years. I would love to be a part of another reinvention. She’s been able to reinvent herself time and time again. I’ll probably be part of that.

Madonna is fixing for daughter Lourdes to make it in the movie business by giving her a role in her new film.
Madge starts shooting the flick about Edward VIII in London this summer and a source said: “She’s arranged a small role for Lourdes.”
“It’s not a significant part but it will give her a good taste of life in the movie business.”
“Lourdes has made it clear she wants some kind of career in the entertainment industry and her mum is more than happy to help.”
“She’s already an incredible dancer, thanks to years of classes and she’s also been having singing training.”

Madonna's former manager of seven years Caresse Henry has died after an apparent suicide.
Singer Jimmy Demers, who was also managed by Henry, confirmed her passing on Friday in an article on the Huffington Post website.
Demers explained that he had planned to spend Easter Sunday with Henry, but received an email from her on April 1 saying that she had taken her own life.
Further details relating to the incident are as yet unclear.
Henry managed Madonna's career from 1997 to 2004, playing a role in the production of several of the star's hit albums including Ray Of Light and Music.

Madonna to release summer single BOOM? *rumour*
Rumours are swirling that Madonna and David Guetta have finished a dance song titled BOOM, which would be released in the summer of 2010. According to iLeaks, there are three things you need to know about Madonna's "Boom":
1. The title speaks it all! It’s explosive.
2. If you think "When Love Takes Over", "I Gotta Feeling" or "Sexy Bitch" were Guetta's peak, think twice after hearing this track.
3. The summer anthem is here.

The only thing I am worried about that if it was on David's album Madonna's album sales would have a immediate negative effect.

13 April - 20 Years of Blond Ambition
Come on girls, do you believe in love? Twenty years ago on this day, April 13th, 1990, Madonna kicked off her most famous live trek. Arguably one of her greatest achievements, Blond Ambition Tour serves not only the template for Madonna's live career, but also live performance in general for any mainstream artist. Madonna was the first female pop act to do the controversial mixture of sacred and profane, the catholic religion and sex. Of course most infamous is the Middle-Eastern tingled Like A Virgin rendition where Madonna, in one of her trademark corsets masturbated on a red velvet bed, immediately followed by the fervor-driven Like A Prayer in the church setting.
The show is also famous for introducing the 4-segment structure, a method Madonna has been following ever since. The groundbreaking costumes were designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier who would later on reprise the tour costume designer role several times.
While the tour itself was far from perfect, marred with several cancellations in the US due to Madonna's throat problems and some bad ticket sales in Europe, not to mention the opening of the tour in Japan where rain was pouring, it still remains Madonna's most celebrated era by both fans and critics, and its themes are still referenced by other acts up to today.

Madonna has admitted that she has put her music career on hold while she focuses on filmmaking.
The popstar, who is gearing up to direct her upcoming movie W.E. this summer, said that the project has taken over her life and she does not have the "time or energy" to sing.
She told Interview magazine: "I've been writing it for the last two and a half years, to tell you the truth. It's been kind of an obsession of mine. I started writing it when I finished filming [directorial debut] Filth and Wisdom.
"It was actually an idea I had before that, but I made Filth and Wisdom because I realised that I didn't really have a right to make a bigger film until I made a smaller film - and learned how to make a film."
Discussing her next album, she said: "I don't have a record deal right now with anybody. I don't know how I'm going to get my music out the next time I make a record. I'm going to have to reinvent the wheel.
"I haven't really been focused as much as I should be on the music part of my career, because this movie has just consumed every inch of me. Between that and my four children, I don't have the time or the energy for anything else."

I know it is terrible that she has not had any time for her music. Which explains the lack of premotion of Celebration.
Even though I dont care much about the film I am sure it will be good and do well.
