Yep great news for Hull and Sunderland if so.

I want Hull to stay up too, cos Phil Brown is a mackem
Also I met some cool Hull fans on a train once. They were nice. (To be fair, I probably only liked them cos Hull went on to win against Newc that day).

Plus Newcastle will come back up, Hull would find it very hard to do so if went down.
But Sunderland will stay up even if Newcastle win, Newcastle stay up means Hull go down, and if Hull stay up that means Newcastle go down..

I dunno... depends on the cash injection. Their youth players aren't much to be desired, the best they got was Carroll, the best of them are (reportedly) rather dud. My friend was in the Newc U youth team with Carroll, and he was apparently the only good one.
Owen will be leaving (reportedly to Celtic LOL, if he does that'd be great - from one club I hate to another!), so will Martins. They need some new talent if they're going to come back up. And they need a new manager...
andyman
11-05-2009, 04:38 AM
New manager, new team.. Says it all really.
Owen does miss his glory days as a Liverpool player, he must have keen kicking himself in 2005 when Liverpool became European Champions! Owen going to Celtic should do him good, i am thinking about his england team future, we need that spark back for 2010..
Ahhhh next summer, World Cup and Big Brother 11... Pukka tidy.

Sunderland have portsmouth away and Chelsea at home
Hull have bolton away and Man utd at Home
Newcastle have Fulham at home and Aston villa away
I think Newcastle Will get 3 points fulham
Hull will get 0 points
And sunderland will get 1 point from portsmouth

5th Everton
6th Fulham
7th Aston Villa
Fulham are on a high they cant be stopped.
Wildcat!
12-05-2009, 01:46 AM
I think Tottenham wil be good next season. Maybe top 6
next season
1. Chelsea
2. Manutd
3. Liverpool
4. Everton
5. Arsenal
6. Tottenham
7. Aston Villa
8. Man city
30stone
12-05-2009, 02:25 AM
Everton wont break the top 4.
Arsenal will be 1st next season maybe 2nd.
30stone
12-05-2009, 02:31 AM
Reading game tomorrow.
We will win 1 - 0 maybe 2 - 0
If its 1 - 0 we will go thru on pens.
Then we will beat Sheffield 2 - 1 in the Play off final.
Everton are building a better side then arsenal
Arsenal may have the younger's but truth is are any of them that good?
I think everton will break in the top 4 Were Just getting better and better
30stone
12-05-2009, 10:52 AM
I dont think so, because yes they are good,
Nasri, Fabregas, Gibbs, Vela and walcott
And to lesser extent
Song and Denilson
If we get a couple of great players over the summer we will be great again.
Were going to do better than 4th next year.
30stone
12-05-2009, 10:58 AM
Along with Rosicky back..
Arshavin Playing forward someone who can finish properly with either foot, and can break on the counter.
Thing with Arsenal is their far too inconsistant, they draw too many silly games and then when it comes to the big games i.e when they play United, Chelsea, Liverpool the players just don't perform at a level you expect from them. Personally I think if their going to do better next season then they need to bring in a central defender, Toure and Gallas are good players but one of them is always injured and then more importantly keep key players like Walcott, Fabregas, Rosicky & Van Persie fit.
30stone
12-05-2009, 12:01 PM
Well yes inconsistant yes, but then all teams go through parts like that like liverpool 7 draws in a row losing to middlesbrough to.
And we drew to liverpool twice beaten chelsea and man utd this season...
With a team riddled with injuries.
So yeh i think if we can keep our stars from injury, we will be able to make a good title challenege we have the talent, and the quality football, we just need to work on defensive and finishing, but with rosicky back... our midfield will be strengthened and Arshavin can then play upfront.
Along with anyone else who is brought in.
The Arsenal of recent seasons though you don't expect too much inconsistancy especially at the Emirates. Don't support them myself but miss their free flowing football when watching them on tv. Don't get me wrong at times this season they have put on some really enjoyable performances but just not enough like most people expect from them. Arshavin will be massive next season and the fact he can also be registered for the champions league will be an even bigger boost for sure.
30stone
12-05-2009, 03:23 PM
Yes it will be good because our striker are all recently back from injury all still not doing their best can't find the net sometimes in easy games.
Like there are someteams shoot once in 30 mins and get a goal.
See Liverpool / Chelsea.
But Arsenal are taking what 10 shots and not getting one like the chelsea game.
The gap is closing between Everton And the Top 4 And this season Everton have reached the fa cup final so they could win more then arsenal and liverpool just by winning the fa cup
30stone
12-05-2009, 03:52 PM
Lol yes that is true.
I think chelsea will win though if they put a full squad out.
And no last year the gap was smaller.
This year is like 8 points it was like 3 points between Everton and Liverpool last year.
It was 11 points between us who were 5th and Liverpool who were 4th
this season it's 11 points as well but were 6th
30stone
12-05-2009, 04:03 PM
Ohh yeh i swear everton came close to taking 4th at one point?
Well 2 years ago it was 8 points between 4/5
everton came 6th 10 points behind 4th.
last year was 11
This year will probs drop down to 8ish but its going to be that way next season to, top 4 will stay as top 4.
Everton need to buy Diego and Hulk
30stone
12-05-2009, 04:09 PM
Lol.
What you think Everton willget from their last 2 games then?
West ham at home?
Fulham at their ground?
And Villa have
Middlesbrough and Newcastle reckon you can get 5th?
i think
against west ham 2-0 to us
and fulham at there ground 1-1
And villa
middlesbro 1 - 1 villa ( can go anyway that one )
aston villa 1 - 1 newcastle
30stone
12-05-2009, 04:16 PM
So you get 5th by one point.
I think it could go that way, but i reckon everton have it harder.
I hope Fulham get 7th.
not sure how they will do in europe though.
Arsenal may get 1 or 0 points against man utd...
But will get 3 against stoke to even if Villa win both there be a gap of 7.
Next season we will win premiership maybe come second and an outside chance we will come 3rd.
Not 4th though.

"It should come as no surprise, then, that the pair's international team-mate Pavel Pogrebnyak is being heavily linked with a move to these shores, with the Gunners the latest side said to be monitoring his situation. "
Pavel could move to Arsenal
Arshavin and Pavel would be good upfront and he wont be expensive like someoe of villa's calliber.

Hmm, read earlier that Wenger plans to sign in the Summer.
About time.
He never really replaced the gaps left by the likes of Vieira, Bergkamp, Henry or Campbell - there doesn't seem to be a real outstanding player in every position. Sure there's Fabregas for the midfield - but what about defence and attack? Van Persie and Adebayor both have their off-days.
Pavel Pogrebnyak Aint that good looking at his goalscroing record
Arsenal should set there sights higher
Should go for Diego he plays for wender bremen he is Amazing

Arsenal are now 4th in the big four, will be 4th for a long time unless they sack their waste of space manager... No in fact keep him, then Arsenal will always be 4th/5th..:cheer2:
Only one team can beat Man Utd and thats Liverpool! Next season is Liverpool's season!
A full fit Liverpool team is the best team in the world that will beat any team!
30stone

Yes for this season maybe liverpool were 4th last season.
We were 3 points off second.
And surely you understand my point that benitez is talking ****, every team has injuires... just because you had 2 player out doesnt mean youd win premiership.
We had 5 players out for over 6 months. Gerrard missed 4 - 5 matches...
Anyway Wengar is one of best managers in the world, Alex Ferguson classes him as the best in the premiership.
And he will get Arsenal back to their former glory. Our Rough patch it over.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wengar transfer budget cut to 13million this summer.
The board want him to buy experienced stars, yet give him 13 million, what do they expect?
Arsenal are expecting Adebayor to leave this summer to either Chelsea or Ac Milan But have said they wont sell him for less than 20mil.
So more young stars this year i think.. That will need 2 - 3 years to develop into great players. Arsenal can't win unless they give him a decent amount of money, Everton, Villa, Tottenham and City will have more than 13m to spend probably.
Can't Expect trophies when you give Wengar 13million, Benitez has 60million, Hope he gets money from shareholders like they said they would.

Every team looking for a win sunday.
Hull have to face Man Utd but only have to face a youth team since champions league final is 3 days later.
Newcastle have to face Aston Villa who can either take apart a team or do terrible.
Sunderland have to face A very strong Chelsea team so doubt they could pick up even 1 point.
MIddlesbrough have to face West ham who have just been beaten by Everton so could come out heads down or all guns blazing.
Newcastle need a win or draw.
Middlesbrough need a win with minimum +3 gd with hull losing.
Sunderland could stay up with getting nothing possibly but would be much beter for them to get a point.
Hull don't need anything but if Newcastle even get a draw then hull will go down.
Very tight, these matches will be the best to watch im sure.
And a Draw to Everton Would pretty much guarantee a euro spot for Fulham, Tottenham would need a win + 5 gd to be on the same level. If Fulham win then they have it guaranteed.
I've got a feeling Newcastle will still go down.

It is thought that the Uzbek billionaire, whose Red and White Holdings own 25 per cent of the Gunners, has offered to clear some of the club's arrears in order to free-up transfer funds for manager Arsene Wenger.
It is thought that the Arsenal board are reluctant to accept Usmanov's offer as they see it as a way for him to gain support from the fans and potentially launch a takeover of the club.
Usmanov and his business partner Farhad Moshiri are not currently part of the Arsenal board, despite owning 25 per cent of the club.
American businessman Stanley Kroenke, owner of Kroenke Sports Enterprises and the Gunners' majority shareholder
, recently acquired more Arsenal shares and now owns 28.3 per cent of the club.
Why not let them give the money they are willing to pay off 318m of debt, just because they don't want them to be fan favourites and take over Arsenal we need someone to do this and they should let them/

England 2018 will today attend a crisis meeting with the game's leading black and minority-ethnic figures after the World Cup bid came under attack last night for a lack of awareness on diversity issues.
Also: Arsene Wenger met the Arsenal chief executive, Ivan Gazidis, yesterday to plan for the close-season and the next campaign as fans of the club rallied around the
manager and planed a show of support for him at Sunday's home game against Stoke City. :conf::conf:
NOt surprising at all. At the launch of the 2018 bid, everyone who addressed the audience was white and male. And it included the BNP councillor. They messed up big time.

People should get where they are by merit and not skin colour, if there is a system to halt people of colour then it's a problem that everybody should know about and change the system to make it fair, people are people.. Better the day when we can all see past skin colour and just see the person for who they are.
