TEvez has set his sights on liverpool if he is to leave madrid he wont go to anyone else if the offer is still there for him from liverpool.

Liverpool made an offer of 15mil for Glen Johnson

Yet They wont pay that for Gareth Barry, Martin O' Neil valued Barry at 18mil, but Benitez said he would only pay 8mil, He will never get Barry for that amount. O' Neil said Barry will be at villa next season unless liverpool up their offer.

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly described R'n'B star R Kelly as a great artist and an inspiration.

The Manchester United footballer also expressed his passion for the music of Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin, The Sun reports.

Ronaldo said: "Ricky’s tunes are very catchy. 'Livin' La Vida Loca' is his most catchy by far and it is my most favourite. Maybe I’ll take it into the dressing room.

"Rio Ferdinand likes a good dance so you never know. It would only take one of the lads to get up dancing and the whole dressing room would be up."

He added: "[R Kelly's 'I Believe I Can Fly'] is without doubt my favourite song in the world. R. Kelly is a great artist and the words to that song are a real inspiration to me."

Right well, i'm not very happy, because i have just seen the Matches that are to be on television tomorrow and Liverpool V Tottenham arent going to be on the telly:bored:. Personally i dont think this is a good idea because they've got man u on the telly( again) then the Aston villa game and they've put the Chelsea game on the red button. Why couldnt they have put the Liverpool game on the red button with chelsea. I mean, like, the liverpool game would've got good views for 2 reasons 1) Its sami hyypiads last game at liverpool and 2) Robbie Keane is returning to anfield for the game. I'm not saying this because im a liverpool supporter it just my point of view.

Jo set to return to City after Everton loan

LIVERPOOL (AFP) — Brazil striker Jo will return to Manchester City at the end of the season after Everton admitted they cannot afford to sign him on a permanent basis.

City paid 18 million pounds to sign Jo from CSKA Moscow last year but he struggled to make an impact at Eastlands and was loaned out to Everton in January.

He made a better impression with David Moyes' team and scored five goals in 13 games to lift the Toffees into fifth place in the Premier League with one game to go.

However, Moyes knows City will expect to recoup a large chunk of the fee they paid for Jo if they are to let him go, and that puts him out of Everton's price range.

"I don't see where we could even come close to getting the money they spent on him," Moyes told Everton's official website. "But a loan has not been put to us or spoken about at all yet.

"It's something that, at the moment, we've not had any indication that they would have interest in. Obviously that means he will go back to Manchester City."

Krisztian Nemeth has been in good form to help Liverpool Reserves reach the semi-finals of the prestigious Terborg U20 tournament in Holland.
The Hungarian striker has scored vital goals against Gremio and PSV Eindhoven to set up a last four clash with talented Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro.

The tournament is unusual in that it includes club sides and international teams.

Matches are played on a 20 minutes each way basis and two teams in each group go through to the semi-finals.

In their opening game Gary Ablett's side beat Lucas Leiva's former club Gremio 2-0 with Nemeth and Mikel San Jose on target.

They lost 1-0 to Ajax in their second game before drawing 0-0 with Egypt. Nemeth then scored a penalty and Gerardo Bruna added a superb free-kick to see off PSV Eindhoven 2-0.

Ablett's side meet Atletico Mineiro in Sunday's semi-final and the winners will meet Ajax or Australia in the final.

"We have done quite well and there has been some pleasing performances," Ablett told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"It will be a good test for us to play the Brazilian team and hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves."

Xabi Alonso has described Sami Hyypia as the "perfect example" to other footballers ahead of the evergreen defender's Liverpool send-off against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The big Finn will part company with the Reds this summer after agreeing to join German club Bayer Leverkusen on a two-year deal.

Alonso admits he will be sad to see the 35-year-old leave Anfield, but is understanding of Hyypia's decision to move to pastures new.

"I understand why Sami is leaving," Alonso told LFC Magazine.

"Sami has got a competitive mind. He wants to be involved and be part of the first XI wherever he is. He will probably have more chance of playing regularly at Bayer Leverkusen.

"Saying that, I could have seen him remaining with us too. But it is his decision and we have to respect it.

"As long as he is happy with his decision I am happy for him."

Hyypia took the Spain international under his wing when the midfielder moved to Liverpool from Real Sociedad in 2004, with the duo often rooming together on away trips.

Therefore, Alonso has firsthand experience of why the centre-back is so revered both on and off the pitch at Anfield.

"I was Sami's room-mate for my first four years at Liverpool," said the Reds' number 14.

"He has been a good performer on the pitch and also off it. His attitude is always to be totally respectful and honest with everyone. I like this way.

"He has been a great player, a great person and a great servant to the club.

"Sami has been the perfect example and also a fantastic Liverpool player. Because of that, all the players here have a great affection for him. His attitude and honesty have always stood out.

"He is always in a good mood around the place. Sami is the model professional and will be remembered for years by the fans, players and staff alike."

Alonso is confident Hyypia will be a big success in the Bundesliga, adding: "Whenever he has played this season he has done very well.

"Whenever he was needed he was there. His level of performance has always been very good. That is what you can expect from a model professional, as Sami is.

"I can see him playing very well in Germany. I'm sure he will do very well there. We will have to keep an eye on Bayern Leverkusen's results next season."

Why dont you guys put a salary cap or a draft in your leagues. Its so much better. The same teams always end up in the top in England. Its boring. In the NFL or NBA you cant go over a cetain salary cap. So anyone can win. You have to relly a lot more on coaching than on money.

Especially when it comes to drafting. Every end of season the worst team in the league, gets to pic first or the next big young star. In Europe it seems if you have money, you always have the best chance.

Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia says he will be leaving behind a club that has improved dramatically in the last 10 years when he joins Bayer Leverkusen.

The 35-year-old leaves Anfield this summer after a successful decade in which he has won numerous trophies, including the Champions League in 2005.

"It will only be after I've left I'll be able to sit back and realise what we've done in my 10 years," he said

"It is hard to take in now. It is nice to be remembered here."

Hyypia, who joined Liverpool from Dutch side Willem II in 1999 for £2.5m, is expected to make his 464th appearance for Liverpool in their final game of the season, at home to Tottenham on Sunday.

He certainly deserves legendary status and he is definitely one of the best players I have ever played alongside.

Steven Gerrard

As well as the Champions League, the former club captain has also won the Uefa Cup during his time on Merseyside, as well winning the European Super Cup in 2001 and 2005, the FA Cup in 2001 and 2006 and League Cup in 2001 and 2003.

However, Hyypia admits he will leave the club regretting that was never part of a Premier League-winning side - and he reflected on this season where they came agonisingly close to dethroning Manchester United.

"The only thing that bothers me is that I will leave Liverpool without a Premier League medal, that disappoints me as much for the fans but the club will do it soon," he said.

"This season has shown that we can push any team right to the end. Everything looks very bright for next season, and hopefully the team can move their confidence up another level."

The Finland international also stated a desire to return to Liverpool in a coaching capacity in the future, something current Reds boss Rafa Benitez would encourage.

606: DEBATE
Big Sami will be sorely missed. I so hope he comes back as a coach after his two years in the Bundesliga.

AK40JAMMYLFC

"I would like to come back to Liverpool one day as a coach, and it was great to hear the manager would like me to return.

"At the end of my playing career I will look to take the badges and then see (what happens). I have so many memories of Liverpool, and really would love to return one day."

Benitez revealed that he had tried to keep Hyypia on a player-coach contract beyond the end of this season.

"Sami is so important that we talked about him becoming a member of the coaching staff in the future," he said.

"But he thought he could play more and wants to be involved in the first team.

"The fact that we were talking to him about becoming a coach shows how much we think of him, he is a perfect professional.

Steven Gerrard, who took over the Liverpool captaincy from Hyypia, also praised the central defender.

"It's difficult to put into words how we feel about Sami. He's been fantastic for us, a colossus," said Gerrard.

"He certainly deserves legendary status and he is definitely one of the best players I have ever played alongside."

Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia has resigned from the club despite the Black cats avoiding relegation.

Sbragia stood down immediately after the side secured their Premier league status, despite losing 3-2 to Chelsea.

"I spoke with chairman Niall Quinn this week and I think we need a bigger name to carry the club further. I've done everything I came to," said Sbragia.

"I've kept the club in the Premier League. I would like to have done it better but I'm pleased we stayed up."

Premier League newcomers Wolves and Birmingham are both battling to sign Manchester City keeper Joe Hart on loan.

Out-of-contract Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell is considering a three-year deal to finish his career in Switzerland with Basle.

Fulham are preparing a bid for £4.5m-rated West Bromwich Albion winger Chris Brunt.

Tuncay, Afonso Alves, Stewart Downing and David Wheater will be just some of the names leaving Middlesbrough after they were relegated to the Championship.

Everton and Fulham are tracking Aston Villa midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker.

Former Everton winger Andy van der Meyde is training with Blackburn in the hope of winning a deal there.

Sunderland are lining up Celtic manager Gordon Strachan to replace Ricky Sbragia, who resigned as Black Cats boss on Sunday.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has insisted he will not sell Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso this summer.

Alonso, 27, has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, who could make a move for the playmaker if Florentino Perez wins their presidential election.

Benitez said: "Alonso has three years left on his deal - we're really pleased with him. We don't want to sell.

"But I have had a private conversation with his agent, and it was interesting to see who had that information."

Benitez was referring to his meeting with Alonso's agent Ignacio Ibanez on Friday.

606: DEBATE
Will Alonso stay at Anfield?
"For me it was a private conversation, and it will stay that way, but it is clear he has three more years of his contract and we do not want to sell him," added Benitez, after Liverpool finished the season in second after beating Spurs 3-1 on Sunday.

"I repeat, we do not want to sell, he is not for sale. He has said he is happy here in Liverpool, in every single press conference, in every single interview.

"We have some ideas for the future, without losing any of our key players."

Alonso, who was expected to leave last summer, may be persuaded to move to the Bernabeu, with the prospect of Gareth Barry finally arriving at Liverpool still a possibility.

Everton hand five-year deals to Phil Jagielka and Joseph Yobo

Everton have secured the long term futures of Joseph Yobo and Phil Jagielka, with the two defenders both putting pen to paper on new five-year deals.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/telegraph/multimedia/archive/01408/phil-jagielka_1408500c.jpg

he news of the pair committing to the club until 2014 comes as a boost ahead of their FA Cup final meeting with Chelsea, which player of the season Jagielka will miss due to ruptured cruciate ligaments.

Everton have kept 19 clean sheets this year with both players having exceptional seasons as Everton qualified for the rebranded Europa League.

Steve Bruce - Wor magpie.
Gordon Strachan - Wee ginger Celtic stonk.
Steve McLaren - Twat.

Maybe Wigan and Stoke depending on what they do.

I've a feeling both Everton and Arsenal are going to have a good season next time around.

What's everyones thoughts on Spurs? I have a feeling they're gonna drop average to mid-table, mid-lower-table. Could be a surprise.

Good predictions, Andy. I'd maybe have Bolton and Birmingham lower, and Stoke a bit higher - but then again - depends what the teams do with the transfer market. If Delap, Shawcross or Faye goes - Stoke are fecked.

My prediction of next season's table:

1 Liverpool (86 pts)

2 Arsenal (81 pts)

3 Man United (79 pts)

4 Chelsea (73 pts)

----------------------------------------

5 Everton (67 pts)

6 Aston Villa (61 pts)

7 Man City (56 pts)

----------------------------------------

8 West Ham (56 pts)

9 Blackburn (55 pts)

10 Fulham (51 pts)

11 Tottenham (49 pts)

12 Portsmouth (46 pts)

13 Bolton (44 pts)

14 Birmingham (41 pts)

15 Wigan (39 pts)

16 Sunderland (36 pts)

17 Wolves (35 pts)

----------------------------------------

18 Stoke (35 pts)

19 Hull (34 pts)

20 Burnley (27 pts)

Torres will run straight past Jagielka and slide one under Howard while Yobo watches on from the bench.
