Yeah an local anasthetic which is put in via eyedrops. That numbs the pain. And then they give me painkillers if it hurts which sometimes they do its like an eyelash stuck in your eye for a while i can describe as the pain

It doesn't sound as bad as I imagined, but still I think you're incredibly brave.

Basically the needle goes into the eyeball and before hand they numb it with eyedrops and then clean the eye with a swab. Then about an hour to recover and make sure everything is ok and then im usually asleep an hour after.Then depending 2-4 days rest and eyedrops to keep the eye not infected.

My niece goes to music therapy close to my house every Monday, so she comes here after school and one of us takes her, then she will sleep here and we'll put her to school on Tuesday, she's with her mother then until the next week, unless she comes to stay at the weekend.

My nephew sleeps here on Wednesdays when he does sports after school. :joker:

..yeah, that's the great thing about performance and music therapy, it really helps people to connect and especially works well with children, it's something that I'm thinking of learning more of..the change must have been very difficult for them though, children do like things to be familiar and it's very scary for them if it isn't and can make them 'withdraw' a bit...but it's great that she has a good school who are obviously very supportive, that makes all the difference as well...

...haha, he sounds a bit like my OH, I envy how he can just be asleep within seconds and he virtually always sleeps through movies..it's a bit of a standing joke in our house because he keeps buying dvds that we already have..(and I mean that he does it a LOT..)...and then when the boys say, we've already got that dad and roll their eyes, he'll say, well I've never seen it...and that's because he slept through it...:laugh:...I think he has a standing agreement with HMV that he'll take the dvd he's bought, back the next day....

It was just a cleaning, but I never had one done before so I was not used to it and it was very traumatic. :bawling: My teeth were in surprisingly good condition but there was a build up of tartar on the back of my four front bottom teeth. ...aww, I know, it is really hard at roundabouts because you have so much to think about with your gears and where the other cars are going..it's probably one of the most difficult things and lots of people don't indicate or change lanes suddenly as well...but that can happen to anyone, Smithy, don't let it put you off and that's what the duel controls are for...you do get used to roundabouts as well, and they don't seem so daunting..especially the ones you go on a lot and get familiar with...

It was just a cleaning, but I never had one done before so I was not used to it and it was very traumatic. :bawling: My teeth were in surprisingly good condition but there was a build up of tartar on the back of my four front bottom teeth. My mouth bled so much, it was horrible, now they are really painful. :bawling:
