I get the sense they're backing out of a big Punk arc already. The supershow concept was entirely unpromoted and felt like a last second decision as did giving away Punk/Triple H at the next PPV.

The numbers are falling if not stagnant, the MITB buyrate was only a slight increase on last year with huge promotion and the word is that the Summerslam rating is going to be terrible too.

I think Punk is a flop with the masses. Hopefully the emergency switch involves plenty more weird booking and John Laurenitis and they don't throw out Cena/Orton for the 1,00000000000th time or something like that.

Triple H has announced that "for the foreseeable future," stars from SmackDown! will be appearing on RAW every week.

There was talk of this several weeks ago, since the company has been unhappy with how SmackDown! house shows have been drawing. The belief is that talent would be in a better position to draw if they were seen on Monday's TV.

WWE officials made the decision some time in the past week or so that Kevin Nash won't be wrestling for them. It's likely Nash will stick around for the time being and participate in the occasional angle but unless something changes, he won't be having a match. This is why CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash at Night of Champions was changed to Punk vs. Triple H. WWE knew going into RAW last night that Nash wouldn't be wrestling.

Nash recently went to Pittsburgh to do physicals for the company and something happened there that made them decide that they don't want Nash in the ring taking bumps and doing something as physical as a whole match. There is still some chance that Nash could end up wrestling but something happened after the physicals that have put a roadblack in front of Nash's return match.

The decision to put Triple H in the match with Punk wasn't made until yesterday. The original plans had Punk going over Nash at Night of Champions.



Sounds like bollocks guesswork to me. I don't know what to make of the whole thing. I hope it continues on SmackDown tonight and that SmackDown isin't just SmackDown with a few Raw guys popping up.

WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio was not at RAW last night and word is that the visa paperwork he went to complete in Mexico over the weekend is not done yet. Until that's completed, Del Rio can't enter the country to work.

Regarding his match with Sin Cara at tonight's live SmackDown special, word backstage is that the match has been canceled but if Del Rio can make it to the tapings in time tonight, it will still go on. WWE had a detailed video package for the match set to air on RAW last night but held off.

The changing of the planned C.M. Punk vs. Kevin Nash to Punk vs. HHH was confirmed as due to a health issue involving Nash, as was being talked about backstage. We don't know the exact issue, only told it was something that in another era Nash would have worked the match, but the company is now more cautious and it was determined to keep Nash out of the ring until, at this point, the fall. As for explaining the television show and the way the HHH announcement was done, that's a different issue.
I could also see a potential three-way in the sense that would allow them to have two guys who can go and hide Nash better than in a single, whenever Nash would be able to return.

WWE Smackdown will air live on August 30, which is a Tuesday night. Smackdown that night will take place in Wichita, Ks. and it'll be called "Super Smackdown." It will also air in its usual timeslot on Friday, Sept. 2, but it will be a replay of the live Tuesday show
