Yeah, when we didn't have Sky, my uncle recorded all of the PPVs on video taps. I had more or less every PPV from when I was 8/9 up until I was about 13.

* The show opened with Randy Orton in the ring. He referenced the changing of the guard at the end of Raw and then talked MITB and called our Christian. He came out on the stage and said that when he spit on Orton at the PPV it was an accident. Orton demanded his rematch but Teddy Long told him he was booked against Kane in a streetfight tonight. Orton got mad and went after Christian. After that broke up, Long told Christian he had to face Big Zeke.

* Christian beat Zeke with the Killswitch. Either they are behind Christian as champ or Zeke is on his way down. I am not sure which it is.

* Michael Cole interviewed the "you got lucky" MITB winner Daniel Bryan. Cole was a jerk to him and said he would cash in the title when the champ was down. Bryan blew Cole off and said he earned the title shot was announcing right now that he will cash in the shot at WrestleMania XXVIII.

* Bryan then beat Heath Slater in a long, good match.

* Mark Henry did a promo saying he was happy to destroy and hurt Big Show.

* Sheamus and Wade Barrett brawled to a no decision on the floor. It could have been a count out. Sheamus got the upper hand at the end laying out Barrett with the Brogue Kick. The crowd was behind Sheamus.

* Kane did a promo and then had his street fight with Orton. This was a good back and forth match. Both guys got out of the other's finisher. Orton finally won with the RKO and they shook hands in respect after the match.



I love how Smackdown exists in some parallel universe right now. None of WWE's current excitement seems to have rubbed off on it. Just make it live and end the brand split on TV already for christsake.

WWE always pull out something really special for a Madison Square Garden PPV. Hopefully they can continue on their hot streak right through from Summerslam and into Survivor Series then on towards the Rumble and WrestleMania.

Things are very good at the top right now. The midcarders and duds like Del Rio and Miz still bore me to tears and SmackDown really needs to be live with the brand extension ended on TV so it can actually have a roster, storyline and be as exciting as Raw but apart from that I feel good about things.

But seriously apart from touring purposes the brand extension serves no purpose anymore. Imagine if Smackdown was live this Friday night continuing things on from Raw.

give him the title again and it's a guarantee that the buyrates and ratings will go up.. he's grown on people ( listen to the pop he got when he came back out in MITB ) and you can't say his title run wasn't good, it was amazing.. from the moment he won it against Orton on Raw to wrestlemania when he beat John Cena at WM, Knew he was going to win that match as soon as his promo was shown before the match.. amazing. and i don't think Miz and Jericho have that much in common really when they talk. Jericho's more humour is more serious.. Miz's character is probably more arrogant then Jericho's was before he left.

Miz and Jericho both have very, very similar characters. They are small guys playing cocky, suited, intelligent heels who often wisecrack and humour their opponents. The minor differences between the two are entirely interchangeable based on where they stand with the crowd.

The difference is Jericho was already highly established before he ever discovered suits and short hair and as a whole I find him very mature and believable as champion. The Miz was just like some imposter pretending to be champion and I really didn't believe it at all. Any chance of money in him lies in him being a face chaser trying to win the title from a prick, dominating heel. It just doesn't work the other way around.

I didn't enjoy his title run at all to be honest. I don't like his music, I don't like his Matrix jackets, I don't like his face, and I don't like his forced catchphrases. His matches are boring, even I feel like I could knock seven shades of **** out of him in a real fight, and I just never got into the whole thing.

Watched Smackdown this week and one match which really impressed me was the Daniel Bryan and Heath slater one both of them were amazing not afraid to take risks in and out of the ring and the pace was perfect probably one of the best matches on Smackdown this year but that's not really saying much

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel have actually impressed me a lot more then Sin Cara in singles matches Sin Cara is more exiting to watch but he also looks like a disaster waiting to happen and the Sheamus and Wade feud has potential but the crowd seemed a bit dead for the match either that or they didn't know who to side with

The hardcore matches on the old games were amazing. You go wrestle in literally any part of the arena and drive around in pick up trucks and ****.
