Ive posted very similar to this before!
Glen Johnson– to the pompey muppet who said why would he go to liverpool!! Try guaranteed champions league footie and a shot at the premiership! Dunno if he'll come, though LFC will only have to offer 10mill to match chavski as we are owed 7m for crouchy!
Owen and Michael Johnson are to injury prone for Rafa, and injuries are what cost us the league this year. I don't think he'll bother with them.
Marek Hamsik– Highly rated and has been watched by most of europes top scouts. Its possible but he may not want to leave yet.
Javi young player from Bilbao and apparently the deal is virtually done!
Tevez– Like the rest of you, i don't know but in L,pool rumours are he will sign before July!
Silva– No bidding war has started and apparently (rumours) he just awaits a medical!
Who knows with the reds though. Daily Star has us in crisis again as our debt is to high to secure cash against players in the transfer market! Just going to have to wait an see!!

Hleb is a waste of money.
There are several rumours about united that are far off the mark, like Veloso and Huntelaar coming to old trafford. These Rumours stop now. We will be signing Benzema, Cahill, and non other than Cesc Fabregas. All these other names are just a smokescreen. Think about it guys, why would Fabregas join Barca, when they have the worlds greatest midfield. Leaving will be Nani, Gibson, Scholes (coaching roll) and Gary neville. Fergie still thinks Giggsy has another 6–12 months left in him.
Although Parry on his way out of Anfield, Liverpool still slow on transfers and missing out on targets. With Barry at City and Daniel Pranjic off to Bayern Munich, 2 targets already gone, and David Silva looking likely to move to Real Madrid. Further still, financial problems mean its likely Xabi Alonso will be sold, Liverpool want £30m but are likely to get around £25m. Javi Martinez will replace Xabi for £11m, Tuncay will sign for around £6m, and new right and left backs will be brought as Doseena and Arbeloa homesick and have asked for moves.
ARSENAL news:
here's what i WISH for: Yaya Toure, Richards, Hangeland, Dzerko, Kameni. (this would b perfect, a free good keeper, on form tall strikers, beastly central midfielder and two tall powerful defenders, one of whom is a fan).
outs: Gallas, Fabianski, Adebayor, Randall, Senderos, Silvestre, Bendtner, Gilbert.
Here's what will REALLY happen: Matuidi, Sakho, Dzerko, Hazard, Huntelaar.
outs: Gallas, Adebayor, Randall, Senderos, Gilbert, van Persie(most unfortunately, but if he doesn't sign the new contract, there's noway arsene will let him just walk away for free next summer.)
Ronaldo will not leave Utd, Messi/Henry/Eto'o will not leave Barca, Kaka will not go to Chelsea, rather to Madrid or surprisingly Utd, Ribery will go to Barca not Chelsea, Young will not leave Villa this season, Fabregas will not leave Arsenal, Tevez will go to Man City(unfortunately), Pato will go to Chelsea, Bojan will go out on loan to a premier league club, Gareth Barry will be booed by Villa fans and will enjoy champions league football at home on setanta, Liverpool will not have loads of money to spend so they can forget Aguero/Silva/Villa, Newcastle are screwed, man utd will win league agen, follwed by arsenal, liverpool, chelsea, everton 5th, spurs 6th, man city 7th, villa 8th, Ancelotti to be fired before the end of the season. now lets see how much of this happens.
Nostradamus of football. .

West Ham's Jack Collison has attracted the interest from a number of Italian clubs with Roma being the most prominant. Luciano Spalletti has had him watched for the "Giallorossi" on a number of occasions including the match against Wigan in which he injured his Knee cap. Alessio Cerci could be offered as part of the deal although Gianfranco Zola may move for him anyway as he only has 1 year left at Roma.
Claudio Ranieri was keen on a move for him in the summer, but has since been sacked as Juventus' Boss.

I work at Cameron House and I know for a fact that Tony Adams was not brought there for discussions about the Celtic job. He may be in line for another job in scottish football though. .
In other Celtic news – stop talking about Wim and Henrik coming back, it's not happening FACT!
We will not be spending huge cash and we will offload more than we buy. Expect one big name and a few lesser renowed players to be brought in.
In response to my fellow contributor I appreciate your feedback on Kevin Davies going to LFC, yes you are correct he is in his early 30's but so what, you need to remember he is a captain and received the players player of the year award for his club, he also commits a hell of a lot of fouls and picks up a few bookings so for me he breaks up play and doesn't allow the opposition to cheaply control possession. He's English and has strong connections with Sammy Lee, he delivers between 10 and 12 goals a season which for a team like Bolton in the premiership is excellent which can be improved with LFC. He's strong and for me peaking. Backward thinking has got nothing to do with age, look at when we bought Gary Macallister was that backward thinking?. The fact is its pretty obvious how RAFA thinks, once hes made his mind up that's it theres no going back and if Owen thinks that liverpool are second best to the Galacticos then hes not got the correct attitude for this team, RAFA does not have a backward thinking mentality. Its all or nothing with RAFA (i.e. Paco). Owen made up his mind and that was it, he's gone, RAFA won't dwell on it again. no backward thinking. Davies would be fantastic cover for Gerard, hes a hard worker and gives his all and a leader as well. You talk about his age, well this would act as a spur for him to win medals in a place where he is likely to do so. He wants to show his kids his medals when they get older and hes got one on the way. If he was given the chance Liverpool would get a brilliant 2 seasons out of him, as i say he would lead for the carling cup and be instrumental in the FA cup, he would be part of a rotating premiership and European squad, and if injuries occur that big strong yorkshireman would fit into a strong side so easily with his premiership experience. Im not Owen bashing here, Owen made his own mind up, I agree he shouldnt of been on the benches at Real because he was scoring great goals but that team (and its the first time i agree with SAF on anything here) used him and made a profit out of the lads expense and dreams, but that was his decision which he must of found instantly regrettable as he saw Stevie G lift big ears again. So backward thinking. .I just can't see RAFA doing it, he left the ship when RAFA needed him and since then RAFA has moved on quite nicely. RAFA will mix it up next season with a mixture of youth and experience, and remember Sammy Lee has strong ties with Kevin, RAFA knows he has to have an element of English players in the team, hes as good as any foreigner on the market i know of. So there is my response my friend, I respect yours. Now I've said that watch David Moyes step in and bid for him.
EL TORRO
Xabi Alonso will back against a move to Real madrid because he wants to win the premiership for Liverpool fans.
Liverpool have around £15mil net to spend on players this summer, and now, the proposed transfers are:

Fabio the dictator leaves no room for debate: It's his way or no way... just like Ramsey
Once upon a time, England would travel hopefully to distant republics and come stumbling home with a hard-luck story and a weary defeat. But times have changed, and Fabio Capello has changed them.
The latest display in the city of Almaty, with the result infinitely more attractive than the performance, offered further testament to the value of his methods.
At £6million a year, Capello earns more than twice as much as any other national coach on the planet.
But the size of his salary is the only exotic accessory of England's Italian manager. Narrow of eye, shrewd of judgment and firm of purpose, Capello has imposed his will on his team with an intensity which brooks no argument.
There are players in this squad who are accustomed to winning arguments with their club managers.
In truth, there are one or two who seem to enjoy the power of veto over unpalatable decisions.
Nobody makes that mistake with Capello. His philosophy was defined by the American football coach who decreed: 'My way, or the highway.' He might have been writing Capello's script.
No player wins an argument with Capello, so nobody offers an argument. It is not so much blind obedience as an acceptance of the fact that the manager knows what he is about. Sir Alf Ramsey inspired a similar reverence more than 40 years ago.
He is not star-struck, he indulges no favourites and he works to stern and basic principles. When England were at their most careless, in the early stages of the match, his anger was palpable. England have had more than a few managers who were soft touches in the dug-out. Capello is not among that number.
You work to standards, you do things correctly, you follow the plan because it has been devised by a man of experience and achievement. It is not a democracy nor a debating society, it is a dictatorship. And the players understand and respond.
Again, the worth of that approach was seen in those early, hazardous moments yesterday, when Kazakhstan imposed real pressure with pace and awareness, and some of the Premier League's most reputable performers reacted inadequately. Luck attended England's efforts.
The Kazakhs should have been a goal ahead in 20 seconds, certainly they were marginally denied the lead in 17 minutes, when Sergey Ostapenko was narrowly adjudged offside from a free-kick. The reprieve owed far more to fortune than to defensive astuteness. But there was no panic, no sense that composure would be surrendered.
Capello is better than that. He is acutely aware that his team may not be compared with the extravagant outpourings of Spain's European champions, nor with the best efforts of the South American magicians. But, instinctively, he seems to understand the essential strengths of the English professional.
So he works on those strengths, he insists on high tempo, disciplined organisation, fearless challenge and the conviction that all will be well if the yards are covered and the work is done. And yesterday, once again, his methods were vindicated.
Typically, it was Steven Gerrard who was instrumental in turning the tide towards England. The nation's most gifted midfield player contributed crucially to the opening goals; the deep cross for Gareth Barry and the ambitious lob which opened the way for Emile Heskey. You sense that if Capello were still a club manager, then Gerrard might be the first player for whom he would bid.
The other he would strive to sign would be Wayne Rooney, whose heart is as immense as his talent. His graft and athleticism brought him the third goal and finally buried a team whose own heart was broken.
Rooney has enjoyed a remarkable season, and this performance merely embellished it. Capello was clearly unsatisfied.
His aim is excellence, and even in emphatic victory, England were falling short of that ambition. But they came through because they have been well taught, because they have learned how to respond to the standards of their coach. Which is the really important point. A few English managers complained when the Italian was given the job. They were not merely wrong, they were terminally foolish. For England are sailing towards qualification with a perfect record. Times have changed. And Fabio Capello may take most of the credit for changing them.
Close friend Jordi Cruyff says manager Roberto Martinez's impending switch from Swansea to Wigan is "absolutely not" about money.
Martinez has been on holiday in his native Spain to consider his future, spending time with former Barcelona and Manchester United winger Cruyff.
"I know some of the details, money is absolutely not the major issue," Cruyff told BBC Wales' The Back Page show.
"The Premier call's big, especially after Roberto's six years at Wigan."
Martinez and Cruyff have been friends since they were teenagers and Martinez is the godfather to the former Netherland international's children.
Falkirk managing director George Craig says he is not surprised that manager John Hughes has expressed an interest in the Swansea City post.
Current Swansea boss Roberto Martinez is expected to complete his switch to Wigan on Wednesday.
And Hughes, 44, is keen on taking over providing an official approach is made to the Bairns first.
"There's no approaches been made - at the moment, it's all speculation," Craig told BBC Sport Wales.
"John has been making it known that maybe he's reaching that stage in his managerial career where it's time to see if he can face another challenge.
"He's been particularly specific to say that if an opportunity arose down south he would be interested.
"If an opportunity was to come along for John I would certainly not hold that against him to at least consider it.
Michael Moore has signed for Stranraer after spending the latter part of last season on loan from Dumbarton.
The 28-year-old forward has also spent time with Hamilton, St Johnstone and Ayr United.
Meanwhile, defender Kevin Nicoll has also agreed a deal to keep him at Stair Park for one more season.
Nicoll joins Stephen Aitken, Danny Mitchell, Stuart McColm and Steven Noble, who have already agreed deals with the Third Division side.

Everton would beat arsenal with sree and cairon up front
1st David Moyes does not need to sell, but if he chose to sell Roger Lescott to city –12 Million wouldn't buy his right boot (and he's left footed) !!
you would be looking to at least double that.
i expect Osman will also be sold –maybe to blackburn or wigan
Everton will sell Anichebe this summer –he will go to Cardiff in a swap and cash deal for Ledley(good riddance) –
MBia (rennes) and Delph ( leeds) will join ledley –castillo and jacobsen will be offered loan extensions –and i expect Owen will sign on a deal not dissimailar to saha
– the cash we have will be spent on moutinho, and a striker –who i fancy will be Wagner Love (cska)
but what do i know i know im only the manager!!
To All Pompey fans, your takeover has not yet been completed so please stop linking Mega–money players to your club as at the moment it does not seem a great place to be, you don't even have a full time manager! And if big 4 clubs become knocking for players such as Glen Johnson and Niko Krancar, DO NOT expect them to say, whether you have bundles of money or not!
Everton will annouce a significant investment in the next 7–10 days. Rumoured to be in excess of 300 million ponds.
This will pave the way for not only confirmation of the finace required for the move to a new stadium but also investment in playng staff.
Lescott will be sold as there are concerns with his fitness – destinaion Man City PX for Dunne and Hart.
All other signings are being being shielded at present, helped by the wild rumours circulted such as Owen,Martins etc.

Gunners linked with Toure swap
Arsenal, 17:14, June 8, 2009
Arsenal are lining up a swoop for Manchester City defender Micah Richards and could be ready to offer Kolo Toure in part exchange.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking to rebuild his defence this summer and has targeted a move for Richards, who could be on his way out of Eastlands.
City chief Mark Hughes is reported to be unhappy with the player's attitude and will allow him to move on if a rival club come in and offer a fee in the region of £6million.
Wenger will not offer that much but could throw long-term City target Toure in as part of the deal. Toure almost joined City back in January and now he has just 12 months left on his current deal, Wenger is happy to use him as bait to land Richards.
If Wengar lets Toure go for Richards i would be very surprised hes usually good with these things.

The inside track on Arsenal target Thomas Vermaelen - scouting report and video
By Mirror.co.uk 8/06/2009
Arsenal are on the brink of an £11million deal for Ajax defender Thomas Vermaelen after Arsene Wenger made a four-year offer for him.
How well do we know the Belgian international defender? Well, Aston Villa were said to be interested in him back in March and ex- Manchester United star Jaap Stam says Vermaelen is set to become a top class Premier League performer.
"I liked the way he was defending as a youngster," said Stam. "I think he was only 19 when he had made his debut.
"But he was a quick learner and strong in tackles."
Here's all you need to know...

Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea target Dzeko to reveal his plans tomorrow
June - 8 - 2009
The prolific Bundesliga striker Eden Dzeko has announced on his personal website that he will be revealing his future plans to everyone on Tuesday. He has been variously linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and AC Milan over the last couple of weeks, as well as having discussions with Wolfsburg about extending his contract.
The Bosnian international has become widely coveted after scoring an impressive 26 goals in 32 games in Germany, helping Wolfsburg to the Bundesliga title, and then winning the German Player-of-the-Year trophy.
His agent was reported in Bild as having met with Adriano Galliani over the weekend to discuss a move to Italy.
The statement on his website read: “Chelsea, Real, maybe Milan or Bayern are all the clubs that would like to see Edin Dzeko as part of their teams.
“To stop all the rumours and speculation, Dzeko has decided to have a press conference tomorrow at 12pm at the hotel Herzegovina, where the Bosnian team is at the moment.
“He will announce the names of his potential new clubs.”

Liverpool Rumours now.
http://www.anfieldred.co.uk/liverpool-rumours-liverpool-alonso-valuation-lavezzi-rafas-radar-mascherano-barca-crouch-return-dossena-juve/2848
Liverpool Rumours: Liverpool up Alonso valuation; Lavezzi on Rafa's radar; Mascherano to Barca; Crouch return; Dossena to Juve
onday's transfer rumours have Liverpool back on the offensive in an attempt to rid the transfer world of some nasty rumours regarding two of the club's best players. Who knew a story regarding Hicks and Gillett would have such a profound impact on the Liverpool squad (I say that in jest).
All of the news rags are trying to break up Rafa's squad, but what else is new!
Alonso (and Liverpool) brace for massive Real Madrid offer
A couple of papers, including the Daily Telegraph, are reporting that Liverpool and Rafa Benitez raised their valuation on Xabi Alonso to over £23 million, which was exactly the amount Florentino Perez offered for the player that Rafa considers part of the "spine" of the squad.
The Telegraph has reported that Rafa is currently waiting for a "mind-blowing" offer from Madrid, but even at this point I'm not sure that would be enough. Let's hope Rafa turns them down!
Lavezzi to Liverpool?
The Daily Mail is reporting what many of us have already known: Rafa is looking for cover behind Fernando Torres. It looks like we're being linked with Ezequiel Lavezzi of Napoli, however the whole rumours seems a bit too far-fetched at the moment.
There's no way I can see Rafa spending the entire transfer kitty for one player. At the moment, that's what the Daily Mail is reporting he's going to do.
Mascherano to Barca for £22million
The Daily Mail again going with the Liverpool rumours, only this time it's one of our best leaving the club! The paper is reporting that Pep Guardiola and Mascherano has a conversation about a move to the Catalan giants.
It's too bad the fee and the rumour are utter bollocks!
Crouch back to Liverpool?
The Sunday Mirror reported a rumour on Sunday that Liverpool could be on the market to bring Peter Crouch back to Anfield for £4 million. I'll believe it when I see it...
Dossena to Juve for Who?!
The Liverpool Daily Post is reporting a transfer rumour that will see Juve send a £4 million cash plus left-back Paolo de Ceglie for Dossena. He's been rumoured to be on the move this summer and, whilst I'd like him to stay around, I think his time has come.
Some ove pricing there. But i suppose every team is doing that nowadays.

Ribery open to move
Chelsea, 15:27, June 8, 2009
Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery has hinted he could on the move this summer, with Chelsea monitoring developments.
The France international winger has been strongly linked with Chelsea as new boss Carlo Ancelotti looks to mark his arrival at Stamford Bridge with a huge signing.
Kaka and David Villa have also been mentioned as targets but Ribery is the player Ancelotti wants and a battle with Manchester United and Real Madrid could be on the cards.
A fee of £60million would be enough to secure a deal and Ribery is refusing to rule out a move away from Bayern.
Ribery told French TV: "I will see how my situation is going to develop. Honestly, I don't know - my situation isn't easy to deal with.
"I am under contract until 2011 with Bayern, I am fine over there. I'm not someone who likes to clash - I have spent two good years at Bayern. We will see how everything turns out."

Chelsea ready to sell frontliners to boost transfer warchest
08.06.09 | tribalfootball.com
Chelsea are expected to sell several frontliners this summer to fund a massive signing spree.
The Sunday Mirror says the likes of Ricardo Carvalho and Jose Bosingwa are expected to be sold. If they left, about £20m could be added to the coffers at Stamford Bridge.
There are also question marks against the futures of the likes of Juliano Belletti, Deco, Branislav Ivanovic and Salomon Kalou.
Although they would not attract massive transfer fees, there would be a considerable saving on the wage bill at Chelsea.

Valdimir Putin tries to persuade AC Milan to sell Kaka to Abramovich’s Chelsea
The one who belongs to the lead character from The Passion of the Christ is on the cusp of signing his fate away to Florentino Perez’s Real Madrid.
Sky Sport Italia believe the deal will be formally struck at midnight tonight, at which point Kaka will give a press conference in Brazil. Madrid-based newspaper Marca say Madrid have sent Dr Juan Carlos Hernandez to South America, where he will carry out a medical today. At first, The Spoiler questioned whether Marca had made up a name as stereotypically Spanish as Juan Carlos Hernandez, but he is indeed Los Blancos’ head of medical services.
The most intriguing Kaka-related story in Marca, however, is the one in the purple banner in the picture above. Apparently, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has phoned Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi to persuade him to sell Kaka to Roman Abramovich’s Chelsea.
Quite why Putin would feel the need to involve himself in such affairs is anyone’s guess, but in light of the imminent deal with Real Madrid, it would seem the man from behind the Iron Curtain doesn’t hold as much influence as he may like in the higher echelons of Italian government.

Aguero linked with Chelsea, and he’s keen!
June - 8 - 2009
The young Argentinian superstar Sergio Aguero has been linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge this summer, and he “proud” of the association.
The 21 year-old was hailed as unbuyable last summer, but his form this season at Atletico Madrid has been overshadowed by his strike partner, Diego Forlan, who won the Spanish Golden Boot, but he still managed 20 goals for his team.
He is the youngest ever debutante in the top flight in Argentina, making his first appearance at just 15 years and 35 days old, beating the legend Maradona, who subsequently became his father-in-law.
He has often displayed his loyalty to Atletico last summer, but after a disappointing season, Atletico are thought to be willing to accept any serious offer to fund their rebuilding process.
Aguero was asked what he thought about the reports linking him with a move to Stamford Bridge, and he replied: “It makes me feel proud a team as important as Chelsea notices me,”

Problem with Arsenal is they don't let 2 strikers have a long run of games together they have to change the strikers round which is annoying Adebayor, Van persie, Bendtnar, Vela, arshavin, Eduardo,

Man Utd accept transfer bid

BBC reports that Man Utd have accepted a bid for Fraizer Campbell. Hull City is the club that next season most certainly will be Campbell's employer.
Hull have been given permission to speak with Campbell, and the England U.21 international is expected to close the deal in the next 48 hours.

Man Utd's Tevez asks Maradona: What should I do?
08.06.09 | tribalfootball.com
Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has sought advice from Argentina coach Diego Maradona over his next move.
The Sunday Mirror says the Argentine striker will decide this week whether to stay with United or move across town to City after both clubs agreed to match the price set by Tevez's adviser Kia Joorabchian.
And the input of Argentina coach Maradona could now hold the key. Tevez has been back in his homeland preparing for the World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Ecuador.
And he is torn between remaining a squad player under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford or becoming an Eastlands cult hero in the blue revolution being led by Mark Hughes.
Maradona has become a confidant for many of his players and a source in Argentina said: "All the players speak to Maradona when they have big decisions. "He is not just the national coach, he is their friend."

Bendtnar is a good sub.
and he is good with headers.
We cant do that because we would be left with 3 strikers.
I think all teams should have 4 strikers.
Like when you have a bit like Arsenal did at the end of the season. where there were 2 games every week for like 6 weeks.
You have to rest players.
Van Persie
Arshavin.
Subs
Bendtnar
Eduardo
Vela.
Eduardo could start sometimes,
Bendtnar could if there was injuries, or in cup matches.
Vela could start in cup matches.

Everton favourites to land Villa transfer target?
04:13 PM 08 June, 2009
Hungary international Roland Juhász could be set for a switch to Everton, now that Aston Villa have pulled out of the running to sign him.
Like Everton, Villa watched the 25-year-old centre back playing for Anderlecht; but unlike their Premier League rivals, they have decided not to pursue their interest.
"I don't know where I'm going to play next season," he told origo.hu.
"I've heard from my agent that there are offers from different countries and teams, but I've not heard any details or of anything concrete.
"If I move on in the summer then I think it'll be good for my development. I think the Belgian league is a good place to play, but I think there are higher levels for me in football."
Tottenham still want him i think, but given Everton's placing in the premiership last couple of year, i think he would be swayed towards Everotn over Tottenham.

Pienaar admits his interest in Atletico Madrid, but urges Everton to offer an improved contract
June - 8 - 2009
The Everton and South Africa midfielder Steven Pienaar has admitted that he is interested in the reported approach from Atletico Madrid, but says that if Everton offered him a new extension to his contract he would be prepared to commit himself to longer at Goodison Park.
Pienaar has been linked with Tottenham as well as Atletico, and with only two years left on his contract, he is open to bids from other clubs, but he wants Everton to reward his loyalty with a new contract.
“It is true that I only have two years remaining on my contract,” he told Kick Off.
“It has been a happy two years at the club so far and I am delighted to have played a small part in the success we have achieved in finishing fifth in consecutive seasons and reaching the FA Cup final, but you never know in football what tomorrow will bring.
“Who knows in one or two years’ time where I will be?
“I am a proud Everton player at present and would welcome it if the club moved to secure my long-term future, but that kind of thing is out of my hands.”
He added: “I have played in a number of the best leagues in the world, and it has always been my ambition to test myself in La Liga.
“For a player of my type, La Liga will always be an attraction and to play in the Champions League again would be a real thrill.
“I enjoyed playing in the Champions League with Ajax and have been really pleased when I see how my ex-teammates like Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart have gone on to excel in Spain.
“But at this time I can only reiterate that any speculation regarding my future is exactly that.”
So he will stay if a bit of an rise in offer on his contract from Everton bosses.

Everton boss David Moyes is planning a £7 million bid for Reading winger Stephen Hunt and striker Kevin Doyle.
The Daily Star says Doyle, 25, netted 13 goals in his first Premier League season.
New Royals boss Brendan Rodgers said: “There is absolutely no doubt that guys like Kevin Doyle are Premier League players.
“When you come out of the Premier League, especially in the second year of your parachute payments, it becomes very, very difficult to hold on to those players.”

Everton manager David Moyes unwilling to let Joleon Lescott go to City without a fight
David Moyes has insisted that Joleon Lescott is going nowhere this summer despite interest from Manchester City.
City manager Mark Hughes has identified Lescott, 26, as his top defensive target and the Eastlands outfit are understood to be preparing a bid in the region of £12 million for him.
Lescott has three years left to run on his contract at Everton and manager Moyes has no intention of losing him.
He said: “I have made it clear. We will not be letting any players go. Everybody is under contract. The one thing we have at Everton is good stability, a continuity of players and most of them are signed up to relatively long contracts.
“It isn’t that we need the money. I’d like to have some money to spend, but I certainly won’t be giving up any of my players to raise that money.”
Wigan Athletic hope to confirm Roberto Martinez as their new manager within the next 48 hours after insisting that progress is being made in talks with the Swansea City manager, which began on Thursday evening.
Wigan have agreed a £2 million compensation package with Swansea for the Spaniard and Latics chief executive Brenda Spencer claims that negotiations are progressing.
Spencer said: “Everything is looking positive but you can’t rush these things. We have to agree terms, then get things put on paper officially and checked over by the lawyers.
“It all takes time, but we are moving forward and hopefully something can be sorted out early this week."
Hope Lescott doesn't just see money and Go to City.
Hopefully he will stay at Everton or Arsenal will sign him.

A deal where Spurs have everything to gain and nothing to lose
Football FanCast guest columnist Todd White feels that Harry shouldn't hesitate in bringing Ruud to WHL, if there is a potential deal to be had.
As Perez took the reins at Real Madrid, at the same time, he arguably started the biggest fire sale the Bernabeu has seen in years. The new Real President wants to see the club return to its old ‘Galacticos' ways, therefore it is time to strip out the deadwood and those deemed surplus to requirements. There will be some real bargains to be had and according to reports it looks like Harry is already having a sniff around already.
Ruud van Nistelrooy is the latest name to be linked with a move to the Lane and why the majority of rumours are normally pie in the sky, you do sense that there could actually be some weight behind this one. The Dutchman is set to leave Spain after what has been yet another prolific chapter to his goalscoring career in which he has netted 63 goals in 95 games in all competitions for Madrid, however with Huntelaar having signed in January and it being likely that David Villa and Kaka will be joining in the coming weeks, the likelihood of the Dutchman being first choice will be remote. At 32yrs of age Ruud will certainly not want to be hanging around on the bench, therefore a move away is likely to be appealing.
Since news of our interest it is fair to say that the view of Spurs fans have been mixed over the possibility of bringing him to the Lane. Nobody seems to doubt his goalscoring prowess but his age and past injuries does bring its concern, however I fail to understand the validity of them if I'm honest. At the end of the day if we were to spend millions in bringing him to the Lane then I'll share those worries, but the fact that Madrid are only after a paltry £1.25m for his services tells me that he is a gamble worth taking where we have little to lose, but potentially a hell of a lot to gain, especially when you weigh that up with his goalscoring record. We may only get two seasons max out of him, but surely he would represent a far better option than splashing out millions on the likes of the injury prone Cruz or the inconsistent Crouch to complement Defoe or Keane in attack.
Wow.
Tottenham could use him well.

Liverpool ace mustn't let his heart rule his head over move
Football FanCast guest columnist Ross Bridges feels that Xabi Alonso should be wary of letting his heart rule his head.
It seems to be becoming something of a daily to chore to read the continual reports linking Xabi to Real Madrid and today was no different. Perez came out once again talking of his desire to see Alonso at the Bernabeu and prepared to pay what it takes to secure his services. It isn't the correct way to conduct business, but then again when have Real Madrid ever worried about morals?
While Liverpool's standpoint has been perfectly clear unfortunately Xabi's hasn't and his failure to rule out a summer exit from Anfield has done little but fuel these fires. Some would say that he has no obligation to; given the way he was treated by the club last summer and who knows maybe he is being tempted by the lure of Real Madrid. For any Spaniard the prospect of playing for one of Spain's premier clubs must appeal greatly, although I would hope that Xabi will use his head here and not be swayed by his heart.
I'm not going to dispute that these are changing and possibly exciting times at the Bernabeu as Perez looks to recreate past glories by smashing transfer records in order to create a Harlem globetrotter feel to the Madrid team. With a seemingly bottomless pit of money to work from they are in a position to tempt all and why this would be an exciting time for Alonso to move to Spain he should be cautious at the ramifications of it. This club isn't rebuilding in the same fashion that Barcelona did, with the mixture of youth and experience, but will instead look to buy instant success in the hope that the coach can fit them altogether and create a winning side. It will be very much a cut throat situation and if they were to fail then they will be quickly replaced.
My fear for Alonso is that should he leave us for Madrid then potentially he could find himself in a far worse off position. There will certainly be no guarantee that should he join Real that he will automatically be a first choice starter, given the overload of players that are likely to be brought in and I worry that it could bring an end to the excellent strides he has been making in the last twelve months, where his game has been taken to a new level. I appreciate that these are likely to be exciting times at Madrid and next season they are unlikely to be a patch on the side that we destroyed over the two legs in the CL, but Xabi should be conscious of the possibility that he may not be a first team regular or in a team that will play to his strengths. There is a saying that the grass isn't always greener on the other side and I really feel that Xabi should think about that strongly, if he is tempted to leave Anfield for Madrid.
To much hype over Alonso this summer

KAKA UNDERGOES REAL MEDICAL
AC Milan midfielder Kaka has undergone a medical at the request of Real Madrid, the Brazilian Football Federation have confirmed.
The 27-year-old is currently on international duty ahead of Brazil's World Cup qualifier against Paraguay on Wednesday but was released for the medical tests in Recife earlier on Monday.
Spanish media are speculating Kaka will join Madrid in a 65million euro deal, where he will become the first of the new wave of 'galacticos' brought together under the leadership of returning club president Florentino Perez.
A statement on the Brazilian Football Federation website read: "The technical committee of the Brazilian national team attended the request of Kaka and the board of Real Madrid and released the player to perform the routine examinations in a clinic in Recife.
"The CBF had to make all the arrangements for the test through its Medical Department head Jose Luiz Runco, who accompanied the player during the tests."
The CBF later confirmed Kaka had returned to the hotel after his medical and would join up with his Brazilian team-mates for training later in the afternoon.
There are also plans for the player to hold a press conference at 2100 local time (0100 BST).
Sorry if any of these have been posted
BERBATOV COMMITTED TO UNITED
Dimitar Berbatov's agent has stated that his client will remain playing with Manchester United next season.
There had been some suggestions that the Bulgaria international could leave Old Trafford this summer following an indifferent debut season with The Red Devils.
The £30.75m capture mustered just nine Premier League goals for the champions despite making 29 league starts, prompting talk in some quarters the club may part with the former Spurs ace.
However, Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev has poured cold water on the speculation, stating the club's management is happy for the experienced hit-man to stay.
"Despite speculation that he may leave, I want to declare that Dimitar will play next season in Manchester United," Dantchev told Dnevnik.
"There is no desire from the management for any separation.
"He will stay and we hope that he will win what he missed out on this year."
O'NEILL DISMISSES OWEN TALK
Martin O'Neill has rubbished suggestions that Aston Villa have offered a two-year contract to Michael Owen.
Owen's future has been the subject of intense speculation since Newcastle suffered relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.
The striker has been linked with several top-flight sides after rejecting reports that he could quit football this summer.
Villa are one club to have been connected with Owen and newspaper stories claimed on Monday they were ready to bring him in.
However, Villa have released a statement on their official website to make it clear that there is no truth in the reports.
"Martin O'Neill has this evening dismissed stories suggesting Villa have offered Michael Owen a two-year contract," read the statement.
UNITED SET TO SIGN DODO - REPORT
Manchester United are reportedly poised to sign Brazilian youngster Dodo in a move that has stirred up controversy.
The 17-year-old centre-back currently plies his trade with Corinthians and is regarded as an extremely exciting prospect for the future.
Dodo has been quoted as saying that he expects to join the Red Devils over the summer in a transfer that would see him link up with compatriots Rafael and Fabio da Silva and Rodrigo Possebon.
United have yet to indicate whether they will swoop for Dodo but the thought of such a move has angered 1970 World Cup winner Carlos Alberto.
Alberto finds it infuriating that big European clubs are able to sign Brazilian youngsters and has called on FIFA to change its laws.
"It is disgraceful United are allowed to do this to Brazilian football," Alberto said in the Manchester Evening News.
"The big teams have the money and can take our best players. It is a big problem in Brazil.
"The clubs cannot keep good young players because they can make much more money in other countries. They should change the law so, at least until the age of 20 or 21, the best players play in Brazil and get experience before moving to Europe.
"FIFA must do something."
ZOKORA FEE TOO HIGH - SEVILLA
Didier Zokora is on Sevilla's list of possible midfield reinforcements for this summer - but Tottenham's asking price is too high.
The Andalucian outfit's sporting director Monchi is credited with being the architect of the club's success in recent years and he is planning another rebuilding project this year.
According to reports, Zokora is vital to that project as the club want a new central player with pace and power and Monchi admits that he is a fan of the Ivory Coast international.
One stumbling block that is preventing Sevilla from making their interest official, though, is Tottenham's £8million asking price.
"Zokora is a great player," AS quoted Monchi as saying. "I have followed him since we first saw him and could not pay for him.
"We know that we have to be realistic in this current economic climate.
"We cannot comment on everything that is published in newspapers, but we have the profile of the midfielders that we want."
CASSANO WILL STAY WITH SAMP - GARRONE
Sampdoria are confident Antonio Cassano will remain at the club next season.
Inter Milan manager Jose Mourinho is a big admirer of the former Real Madrid star and is reportedly considering Cassano as Zlatan Ibrahimovic's replacement should the Swedish striker decide to leave the Nerazzurri this summer.
However, Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone believes that the temperamental Cassano is unlikely to be heading to the San Siro or any other destination in the transfer market.
"I think Cassano will remain in Genoa," said Garrone. "I've heard that Inter want him but in recent hours I have read that Ibrahimovic could stay at Inter.
"Antonio is a prima donna and with his character he can express his game better in a team in which he has no competition."
Cassano's agent Giuseppe Bozzo admits his client has not received any offers so far.
"As far as I am aware there are no offers," said Bozzo. "But if any offers arrive they will be evaluated."
Cassano scored 12 goals for Sampdoria in the season just ended.
FLORES SET FOR BENFICA EXIT
Quique Flores is set to stand down as Benfica coach after a disappointing season in which they could only finish third in the Portuguese first division.
Flores had a contract that ran through until the end of next season, but according to sports daily A Bola he has accepted to leave early by mutual consent.
Jorge Jesus, who took Sporting Braga to fifth place in the league and the last 16 of the UEFA Cup, is the frontrunner to replace him.
CANNAVARO - PLEASE GO ZLATAN
Fabio Cannavaro wants Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to seal a move to Spain - in order to boost Juventus' title hopes.
The Italy captain believes Ibrahimovic is a difference maker for Inter, and his rumoured move to Barcelona would seriously dent their chances of retaining their Serie A title next season.
"Without Ibrahimovic, Inter are a different story," said Cannavaro, who has returned to Juve after three seasons at Real Madrid.
"We hope they (Inter) will sell him.
"But if he leaves, I don't think he will do it for money but for other reasons.
"In any case the Nerazzurri team will still remain competitive."
Ibrahimovic, 27, proved pivotal in helping Inter claim a fourth straight Scudetto, scoring 25 goals to finish as Serie A's top scorer.

LUQUE IN THE DARK
Ajax striker Albert Luque is still uncertain where he will be playing next season.
Although he is under contract with the Amsterdammers, he has heard nothing from the club since returning from a loan spell at Malaga last season.
"I haven't even been called by Ajax for an appointment to talk about the future," the 31-year-old told Sportweek.
"I know absolutely nothing, not even when we start the new season.
"That is strange. Last year Marco van Basten began a new era but now everything is different again. It's all quite unstable. Ajax is a club full of surprises."
Luque has not, however, ruled out the possibility of staying at Ajax, and believes new coach Martin Jol, who replaces Van Basten, could give him an opportunity.
He said: "Now there is a new coach, there could be new chances for me. But first we'll have to talk to each other. I keep waiting for an invitation."
RIBERY UNCERTAIN OVER NEXT MOVE
Franck Ribery is unsure whether his future lies at Bayern Munich amid speculation he could join Real Madrid this summer.
New Real president Florentino Perez has made Ribery one of his priority signings for the close season, while the France winger has also been linked with several other leading European clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea.
Ribery refused to dampen the transfer talk when he appeared on French TV programme Telefoot on Sunday.
"I will see how my situation is going to develop. Honestly, I don't know - my situation isn't easy to deal with," the former Marseille winger said.
"I am under contract until 2011 with Bayern, I am fine over there. I'm not someone who likes to clash - I have spent two good years at Bayern.
"We will see how everything turns out."
Bayern general manager Uli Hoeness has sent out mixed signals by first claiming Ribery was not for sale at any price, then expressing his willingness to speak to Perez.
Today, Bayern president Franz Beckenbauer called for Ribery's future to be decided one way or another to prevent a long-running soap opera this summer.
"I can see only two solutions: Ribery extends his contract so the issue is dealt with or we release him," Beckenbauer told the Bild newspaper.
"I rate Ribery alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi as the best footballers in the world at present," he added in the Bild newspaper.
"If he were to leave, it would be the second huge loss for the Bundesliga after Diego (who left Werder Bremen for Juventus).
"However, if Ribery wants to leave, then it will be hard for us to keep hold of him."
Nevertheless, Beckenbauer does not believe Bayern's world would fall apart without the 26-year-old.
"So many so-called irreplaceable players have gone yet football has still moved on," he said.
"Obviously it would be a shame, though, and it is hard to imagine Bayern being better without Ribery."
Real are believed to be preparing a bid which would tempt Bayern's new Dutch coach Louis van Gaal by offering his two compatriots Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder offered together with a sizeable sum for a man who, according to Hoeness, has just one of his legs valued at 50 million euros.
