In fact you shoulnt even have been in the champions league the year after that, if it wasnt for special circumstances. They bent the rule to please Liverpool.
Apart form Man U and Chelsea, no one can say anything.

Arsenal got semi final Liverpool got quarters, makes no difference if you don't win it. Point is we're 9 points ahead of Arsenal and still in the title race with 3 games to go, Arsenal have been out of it for months.
And Arsenal have never won the champions league.
And talking about lucky late goals, Arsenal have scored the same amount of goals in injury time as we have this season.

OK, so you scored some goals this year. BUt we all know Liverpool is boring. And most of your goals are like big 4-0 victories and stuff. Usually, you draw 0 0, or 1-0. Plus its only because you got Torres now, that you score goals. Before that, you guys didnt score a lot.

Kenyan Arsenal fan hangs himself after Man Utd defeat
NAIROBI, May 6 (Reuters) - An Arsenal fan in soccer-mad Kenya hanged himself wearing his beloved team's shirt after their defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League.
Like elsewhere across Africa, Kenyans pack bars for English Premier League and Champions League matches, especially those involving Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Suleiman Omondi, 29, was found hanged at his home in a middle-class Nairobi estate shortly after leaving distraught from the pub where he had watched Arsenal lose 3-1 in their Champions League semi-final at the Emirates on Tuesday.
"He took some drinks and broke down in tears within the final minutes of the match," a fellow bar patron, who asked not to be named, told Reuters.
Police said they were called to Omondi's house on Wednesday morning.
"What we are gathering is this suicide is related to the Arsenal and Manchester match," local Embakasi area police chief David Bunei told reporters.
Bar attendants said they had to intervene after Omondi lunged at a man who suggested Arsenal would not recover from conceding two early goals. They also lost the first leg 1-0.
Brawls are common in Kenya during football matches and there have been other related suicides reported in the past.

Barca scored in the 92nd minute. Chelsea had a shot in the 95th and it hit one of Barca's players hands in the box, and the ref didn't give the pen, so Ballack ran behind him screaming and throwing his arms around. Then the match ended, Barca won, Drogba went crazy running after the match, turned and started swearing at the camera.

In an absolutely moronic move, supposedly UEFA are attempting to ban Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal from Champions League play next season. UEFA president Michel Platini is reported in the Daily Star as wanting to stop clubs with large debts from playing in European competitions. I guess in an attempt to stop big club’s who are already in debt, from spending even more money that they don’t have.
But, I believe the problem with that philosophy to be, UEFA has no right to say how money at a club is spent or how far into debt a club goes. Football has no salary restrictions, so a club should be, and is, free to spend as much as they want on their squad. Although with debts at Chelsea and Manchester United supposedly being as high as £600million, perhaps a little caution wouldn’t be a bad idea to avoid the same situation as Leeds fell into.
But why is it that the English teams are always the first named, when talking about cutting down on big club spending? Are Real Madrid not the team that still hold the record for the biggest transfer fee paid for one player, with Zidane? Cleary £45million is quite a lot to spend for a player, not even including his wages. Real Madrid have to be in debt to some point, and they are the most successful team in UEFA Champions League history, so why aren’t they mentioned?
Simply because UEFA just like FIFA, hate England, and the fact that English teams are at the top of their game. England is so hated in Europe unfairly, that people need to attack football’s country of birth for some unknown reason. I’m guessing it’s the years of England’s almost lack of production in big European competitions, and now that’s come to and end. So everyone is mad that football’s inventor is taking the game back, and to the next level I guess?
The Premiership is the biggest league in the world now, so UEFA needs to knock it down a peg? Premiership ratings skyrocketing to new heights and gaining the league an every growing world audience is a problem for the sport? The Premiership in many ways has become bigger than the Champions League, so you have to deny them the right to express dominance over another league? It doesn’t make sense.
Like backwards relegation. If you win the league, you get dropped from it. Apparently that’s UEFA’s new rule set. You can only play in the Champions League if you aren’t a major performer. Teams that aren’t true Champions are the only ones allowed in Europe’s premier competition. If you win the Cup when better teams are barred from competing, are you really even a champion at that point?

ITs the daily star. Read the article after Michel Platini. Thats your answer.
Secondly, the article talks about Fifa hating Englan (international. Again do you post articles without even reading them.
England has won the World cup ages ago once. HAve been to the semis only one time in 1990. Its a pathetic record, given that you claim to be one of the best teams in the world. Like I said, even Croatia, Bulgaria, South Korea have been to the semis recently. Its all about hype.
So what if youre dominating the qualifiers? You always do! But you will choke at the WC as usual, just like everyone claimed last time was thr brst ever England team. They could hardly score a goal, where lucky to go past Ecuador.
As for 2010, you have no chance in hell. ot one European team has won the WC outside of Europe ever. NOt only that but this time its in Africa. You will have to deal with hot weather (thats pretty much over for all european teams, except for France). And you will have to deal with the South Americans, who play great in that type of weather. That aside, teams like Bresil, Argentina, are far superior to England.
In any event most of the other european teams have a better chance than england. France, Spain, Portugal etc....
BUt anyways this WC will be won by an African team or a SOuth american team. I suggest you stop dreaming, and prepare for 2014.:wavey:
Anyways, take a look at the flags chart on this page. Shows you who have ranked 1-4 in all the world cups. It will show you how sadly absent the english flag is, compared to all the others.

Walcott pens Arsenal deal
By England MAD
Friday, 8th May 2009
Theo Walcott has handed Arsenal a timely boost after agreeing a new long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners saw their last chance of silverware this season ended by their Champions League semi-final defeat to Manchester United in midweek.
Walcott has eased the sense of disappointment after pledging his long-term future to the north London club.
The England forward joined Arsenal as a 16-year-old prospect from Southampton in January 2006 and has scored 14 goals in 106 appearances for the Gunners.
"We are absolutely delighted that Theo has committed his long-term future to Arsenal Football Club," manager Arsene Wenger told the club's official website.
"Theo is an intelligent player with amazing ability and speed and has developed extremely well this season.
"At still only 20 years of age, Theo has huge potential for the forthcoming years and we are all looking forward to see him grow even more in an Arsenal shirt."
Walcott staying at Arsenal, if he progresses thats a good thing... he does need to improve.
Theo Walcott hopes his new contract will convince Robin van Persie to also pen his deal with Arsenal.
"The likes of Robin and everyone else, hopefully if they get sorted out, it shows the belief I have got in this team because this team can go very far," said Walcott.
"Every time I have a warm-down I look around the team and see there are some really good players here and I want to be part of it.
"Hopefully we can be right up there with Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool and have a great challenge for it next year."
He also wants Van Persie to sign a new deal, Van Persie has said hes not going anywhere though.
It could be an all-American board at Arsenal this summer.
The Guardian says Stan Kroenke's investment in Arsenal could be stepped up in partnership with Philip Anschutz, according to US sources.
Kroenke bought the Colorado Rapids from Anschutz, the other billionaire sports tycoon from that state. Despite his low-profile Anschutz has been involved in several significant sports investments in England.
His Anschutz Entertainment Group operates the O2 arena, was responsible for David Beckham's £128m move to LA Galaxy and has a hand in his global academy franchises. AEG declined to comment on suggestions of his Kroenke partnership.
Arsenal could also have some money season coming.

08-05-2009, 06:38 PM
And Wenger will be offered a new deal.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will soon be offered a new deal by the club.
Chairman Peter Hill-Wood said the Frenchman’s future was in no doubt despite another trophy-less season.
"Arsene's future is not in question, although I am sure there will be people who have nothing better to do trying to suggest it is," Hill-Wood told the Daily Star.
"He has another season left on his contract and if he was to ask for an extension we would be delighted.
"But he hasn't discussed it with us and we haven't discussed it with him. There are other things to think about."
Locke.

Boa Morte gets frustrated and pulls Torres down in the box. 0-2. Gerrard missed a pen but got the rebound. Then he gives a throw in away and throw the ball still frustrated. If he doesn't calm down he'll be sent off in the second half.
Di Michelle breaks through, falls over his own feet and appeals for a penalty. Yellow card.
We've scored 100 goals this season now :spin: And Torres needs 1 more to make it 50 goals in a Liverpool shirt.

Arsenal having some early chances Fabregas was through on goal them but Cech got it.
Walcotts had 2 shots.
Diaby was free to take a kick and went completely off target, Fabregas was annoyed because he was just about to shoot it when diaby come in on it.

Another chance just rolled across goal then.
Walcott left alex for dead so much quicker.

All the pen's Chelsea never had given by that Nazi-Uefa loving ref... Well lets says yesterday had pen's, the same type of calls Chelsea should have been given for...
That Norwigen ref stinks of given Uefa what they wanted, same with the linesmen! Scum.

Arsenal will be their strongest since we had our invincable team next season.
We will have money with this other billionaire coming in on Arsenal shares together 2 of them want to buy it in the next couple of years, is why they are telling wengar to spend big this season.
We will challenge the top 3 properly next season.

As for playing good, We do infact we still Play the best football, just our finishing is average half the time.
andyman
10-05-2009, 03:56 PM
Arsenal can't just throw money at the problem, they must buy team players..
I'll say it's a mixture of big names, team players and youth team players comming through the ranks.
30stone
10-05-2009, 03:59 PM
They do, just like the other top 3 do. Buy world class players with experience.
They need just 1 - 2 world class players this year that are like 25+ like Villa that will help to finish.
Then we just need some better players to use if there are injuries like this season at one point we had like 8/9 injuries at one time, with 5 - 6 being first teamers and we didnt have the quality to fill them places.
1 - 2 world class players.
3 - 4 Quality players with more experience. That can be used as super subs.

Wigan will lose they have lost to westbrom, drawn to bolton, lost to blackburn, lost to arsenal lost to everton.
They just can't beat man utd.
And Arsenal i can't see em winning unless someone pulls out a special henry-like performance against them, a draw maybe.
All utd need is a win and a draw and i think thats exactly what they will get.

LOL this is hilarous! Arsenal lost all their confidence after that loss in europe.
You dont need a lot of changes, but your central defense is too small. You need a big sweeper, and a big defensive midfielder. I recommend Abdoulaye Faye from Stoke.

Abdoulaye is okay but i suggest a big star we can buy someone world class.
You like him because hes Senegalese eh?
Buy Sergei Ignashevich.
The big Russian Defender age 29.
Or Vasili Berezutski another Russian.
They are 6 foot 1 and 6 foot 2 and a half.
The best Russia has to offer great players.

10-05-2009, 06:44 PM
Or best if we could tempt Alex away from Chelsea or Jagielka from everton.
Alex isnt the fastest but hes tough and a great player and
Jagielka doesnt need questioning hes just quality, as is lescott.
Aberdeen's season is looking to be one of those pointless ones, yet again. Sigh.
Wildcat!
10-05-2009, 07:54 PM
Yeah, those russians would be good too. You just need big bodies. And think you should move Kolo Toure to Right bak or left bac. Thats what he plays with Ivory coast. He is too small to play sweeper.
I dont think you can get ALex though.
30stone
10-05-2009, 08:17 PM
No but alex is a great player we need someone between 25 and 31 i think but yeh like you say someone big.
Songs a good player better than diaby imo.
and hes quite big which is good to have in the middle.
bendtnar actually quite impressed me today to he used his size well.
