We can vote between 7am and 10pm which accommodates most people and if not we also have a postal vote option
Right, thanks! So you don't get the results in the evening if it closes at 10pm?
I don't think I could sleep without the results!
The postal vote thing was discussed in France too but we are too afraid of votes being lost and corrupted, so that's a no for now.
In the biggest cities it closes at 8pm whereas all other cities close at 6pm, which gives sufficent time to count and provide data for the formula to run and send the results at 8pm sharp. Percentages slightly delay in the evening when proper counting is over. Funnily enough, Belgium knows before we do and the ban to reveal the results before 8pm doesn't apply there, so Belgium media spoil our results, hence why I tend to not look at Twitter as from 6pm.

The only thing shocking about a huge Tory majority is that anyone is even vaguely surprised.
Huge SNP gains in Scotland by the way - exit polls predicting SNP will take 55 of the 59 seats. The election map is going to make it very, very clear why there should be a second IndyRef :idc:.

The NHS is blatantly going to be pseudo-privatised by the way, as it is being already (in England). It's not going to suddenly shift to a private insurance model. Services will be free at the point of use and still paid for via tax but increasingly run by various for-profit private entities operating within hospitals etc. with heavy pharma links. This is covert enough that the "average service user" won't notice the sell off until the vast majority has been sold, by which point they'll have forgotten all about this election and have no idea who to blame.
tl;dr the NHS will be dismantled, "Joe Public" won't notice for decades, and when they do they'll forget to blame the Tories (and thus themselves).

I've never been more proud of our compassion and humanity for saying a resounding 'NO, jeremy corbyn', and rejecting the anti semite enabler, terrorist supporting, incompetent, indecisive throwback to the 60's. He was always just a protester for extremely dodgy causes or for throwing out pie - in - the sky promises in desperation which most people could see would wreck the economy; leadership was way beyond his capabilities.

Boris will stamp all over the throats of the working class and they'll continue to vote for him. It's a cult and the more the tories hurt them, the harder the public will vote for them.
