Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Eboue claims he knows nothing about a move to Paris St Germain after being linked with the Ligue 1 club.
2009 Summer Transfers
The Ivory Coast international, who made just 17 Premier League starts last season without really impressing, has been tipped to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Eboue has confirmed he is unhappy at his lack of first-team football under manager Arsene Wenger, but points out he remains contracted to the Gunners.
The 26-year-old has admitted PSG are a good side, but his preferred objective is to stay with Arsenal and fight for his first-team place rather than seeking a move elsewhere.
"I'm not aware of any contact with PSG. They are a good team, however, I have a contract with Arsenal," he told skysports.com.
"My ambition is to stay and play but because of a lack of first-team play, I'm not happy. I want to play."
Reports in France claim PSG are ready to table a £5.9million bid for the defender.

Arsenal’s Spanish starlet Fran Mérida insists that he is happy with life in North London and acknowledges that he is still some way from becoming a regular starter in the first-team.
Mérida is entering his fourth season with the Gunners and made his Premier League debut last term, against West Bromwich Albion. He followed it up with another substitute appearance at Fratton Park against Portsmouth and played in all three Carling Cup fixtures.
Having spent time on loan at Real Sociedad in 2007/08, rumours persisted that Fran was set for a return to his homeland, but he says that this is far from the truth:
“When I heard, I spoke to Arsenal to find out their plans,”
“They told me they wanted me to stay, because I would be introduced to the team gradually in the cups and, well, I played two games in The Premier League, three in the League Cup, one in the Champions League.
“It is important, because you see that the club is showing confidence in you and you are taking steps forward in that respect.
“It’s true that the option to stay at Real existed, but we all decided that it was best to stay at Arsenal and I’m happy.”
He went on to examine the difficulties of breaking into the first-team at Emirates Stadium:
“You always want to play, but I knew that I was going to be a back-up and that there were players from my level in the first-team.
“For me, the situation is very positive. I’m happy, but there is always room for improvement – that much is clear.
“My intention is to break into the first-team, step by step, but I don’t want to get obsessed.
“Right now I’m very happy, and I want to stay there for many years and be a success. If things were not so good, I would re-examine my life.”
The future looks bright for Fran and more first-team appearances are surely just around the corner.

£6million Liverpool flop set for Sunderland?

Jermaine Pennant is a reported target of Steve Bruce at Sunderland Football Club.
The winger, who cost Liverpool over £6million when he moved from Birmingham City in 2006, is out of contract this summer and unwanted by Rafael Benitez.
Bruce signed Pennant, 26, for the Blues during his time in charge of the St Andrews outfit, and he is now looking to sign him on a free transfer according to the Sun.

ALONSO EXPECTS TO STAY AT LIVERPOOL
Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has said that he is not planning to leave the club this summer.
The Spain international has recently been linked with a move to Real Madrid amidst rumours of a rift between himself and Reds boss Rafael Benitez.
Alonso did not rule out a move away from Liverpool but insisted that he is happy at Anfield.
"I am happy at Liverpool but in football you cannot close the doors on anything because you don't know what will happen. I do not plan to go," he told El Pais.
"With Sami Hyypia already gone, I am one of the senior players alongside Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard.
"There was strong interest in me from Madrid (in 2004) but Liverpool came and that is where I went. It was not a wrong decision, not for me anyway. I have played at Liverpool, a special club, and grown as a player and won titles."
The 27-year-old also denied that his relationship with Benitez has deteriorated in light of the manager's indecision over his future last year.
"Each one has his own point of view. He is the manager and I try to do the best with what he tells me," Alonso added.
"We have a good professional relationship. We speak normally, saying what he wants from me and what I can give. He makes the decisions and we try to execute them.
"Last summer there was certain indecision and I did not know what was going to happen. I finished up playing well, though. I have had two quite complete seasons."

No Tevez Deal Out Of Respect - Rubbish!
Who does Kia Joorabchian, the agent of Carlos Tevez, think that he is kidding by saying the Argentine wouldn't join Liverpool out of respect for ManU and their fans. These are the claims that Joorabchian made when declaring that Tevez wouldn't be joining the Reds and will either join Chelsea on Man City, as he explained to TalkSport:
'We ruled Liverpool out because of the competitive nature of Manchester United and Liverpool.
'He has a lot of respect and a lot of love for the fans of Man United and I think he would rule Liverpool out as being the biggest competitor.
'City and Chelsea probably would be the two clubs that are on the table.'
What it all comes down to for Tevez's agent, even if this isn't the case for the 25 year old himself, is money and we couldn't offer as much as Chelsea and more importantly Man City could so that is why the Argentina international isn't going to come to Anfield, even if Rafa Benitez actually wanted him anyway?
All this respect to ManU and their fans talk is rubbish, does Joorabchian not expect Chelsea, and maybe even Man City, not to be title rivals for ManU next season or something? That's even after you think about the rivalry between ManU and Man City, if it was really down to respecting ManU then Man City wouldn't be up for consideration would they and would've been ruled out before anyone wouldn't they?

Wenger aiming to kick-start Melo deal
Arsenal, 12:35, June 21, 2009
Arsene Wenger wants to sign Fiorentina's £15m-rated midfielder Felipe Melo as soon as possible to beat other clubs to his signature.
The 26-year-old has impressed in Serie A and Wenger sees him as the perfect addition to his squad as he searches for experienced players to complement his young side.
Melo is expected to start Brazil's game against Italy in the Confederations Cup on Sunday and scored in last week's 3-0 win over USA to further enhance his reputation.
Reports say Fiorentina will allow him to leave for around £15million and Wenger is aware there are several other clubs tracking the player so wants a deal to go through within the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, Philippe Senderos' future remains unclear with the defender's season-long loan deal at Milan coming to an end without the Serie A giants wanting to sign him permanently.
Senderos wants to stay in Italy after being told he has no future at the Emirates following Wenger's capture of Ajax defender Thomas Vermaelen for £10million.

Tottenham and Arsenal close to confirm new signings
Redknapp and Wenger eager to make the right moves
Daily Star on Sunday reports that Arsenal and Tottenham are close to confirm new summer signings. Both clubs are eager to bolster their squads in front of the new Premier League season.
Harry Redknapp has joined the chase for former Liverpool and Sunderland forward Djibril Cisse and sees the French international as an ideal partner for Robbie Keane.
Tottenham will get competition from Greek top club Panathinaikos. Cisse is currenlty on the books at Marseille and the player would probably be sold for a fee close to £9 million.
Arsenal are eager to sign German international Thomas Hitzlsperger. Hitzlsperger (27) has played for Stuttgart since 2005. He has previously played for Aston Villa and also spent time at Chesterfield on a short loan spell in the 2001-2002 season.
Hitzlsperger has since joining Stuttgart played 115 games for the Bundesliga club and also been a regular in the German team, with 45 caps so far in his career.
Cisse and Hitzlsperger are both great footballers that definately will be interesting players to follow in the Premier League.

Arsenal dip into the transfer market
After a very clear statement of intent at the end of last season Arsene Wenger has begun to re-enforce the Gunners with experience players. The signing of central defender Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax for £10M has been given the vote of agreement by most fans. It can almost be accepted that Philip Senderos will not continue his career at Arsenal so now everyone is wondering whether it will be William Gallas or Kolo Toure that will partner Vermaelen. It appears that last season’s confrontation between Gallas and Toure has still left a degree of tension between the two of them so you can expect one or both of them to go. It is anticipated that Man City will make a £12M bid for Toure but would that really be in the best interest of Arsenal? Gallas has made it clear that he wants to end his playing days in France so would it not be best for Wenger to make that happen now?
All attention will then move to the major question of sorting out the position up front. Emanuel Adebayor has been linked with a move to AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea. Inter have also been rumoured to show an interest in Van Persie. Either way Wenger will have to reshape his strike force. Arsenal clearly lacked a goal scoring dynamo and if they want to go on and win trophies they will need to sharpen up around the goal mouth. Eden Dzeko from the German Bundesliga club, Wolfsburg and Klass Jan Huntelaar from Spanish Premera Lega club Real Madrid and Marouane Chamakh from French Ligue 1 have been spoken about as possible additions to the Gunners. So will it be Adebayor,or Van Persie to go or would Arsenal be best served to replace both of them?
The other big question that Wenger needs to answer is ‘ Who will finally take over the position left vacant when Flamini left’? Xabi Alonson from Liverpool, Felipe Melo de Carvalho from Italian Serie A club Fiorentina and Thomas Hitzlsperger from the German Bundesliga club Stuttgart have been showing on the radar. This position is vital and needs to be filled not only to help link with the defence but also to take the pressure off Cesc Fabregas.
There are only six weeks to go before Arsenal begin their Emirates Tournament so would you expect Arsene Wenger have completed all his signings by then or do you think the boss will string it out until the last hours of the transfer deadline?

Chelsea ready to make £25 million offer for Arsenal star
Ancelotti desperate to sign top international names
Daily Star on Sunday reports that Chelsea are ready to make a £25 million offer for Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor. Adebayor (25) has been linked with several top European clubs.
Last summer english newspapers reported that the player was transferred to Barcelona, but nothing happened and he stayed with Arsenal.
Wenger will have a busy summer to keep both of his top strikers, Adebayor and van Persie after reports that Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona all are eager to sign them.
Chelsea looks desperate in their hunt for players, but so far they have not been lucky with whatever attempt they have been reported to have made.

News of the World reports that Arsenal are ready to pay £15 million for Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo. The Brazilian international with 8 caps for his country is close to a move to North London.

Let me go, says Arsenal 'target' Chamakh
Marouane Chamakh still hopes to complete a dream move to The Premier League.
Bordeaux striker Chamakh, who has been linked to two London clubs in Arsenal and Fulham, is waiting in the wings to make the step to Premier League football.
Les Girondins chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has stated that the Morocco international ‘won’t join Arsenal for €10 million (£8.4m)’, and he still hopes to keep the fans’ favourite next year.
For his part, Chamakh has not changed his mind and the athletic player has publicly asked his employers not to price him out of the market.
“If an offer is interesting for everyone, then I hope that my directors will be comprehensive,” he told Le Parisien.

Liverpool's Torres: Man Utd, Chelsea cash won't tempt Villa
21.06.09 | tribalfootball.com
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres doesn't believe Valencia striker David Villa will be tempted by the money of Chelsea or Manchester United.
Torres told the Daily Star Sunday: "I don’t think Chelsea’s money will tempt him, or United. I think with his abilities and qualities he is better for the Spanish league – he scores over 25 goals every season there.
“I would like him to come to Liverpool of course but I think he is too expensive for us.
“I would prefer it if he played in Spain than signed for Chelsea or United. That’s what I’ll tell him!”
Torres stopping Villa from moving premiership, scared that he would be better maybe lol.

Johnson passes Liverpool medical and will sign today
June - 21 - 2009
According to todays Mirror it has been revealed that Glen Johnson will sign for the Reds today. The report said: England right-back Glen Johnson will today complete an £18million move to Liverpool.
The Portsmouth defender has gone through a secret medical after agreeing terms on a contract.
It is a coup for Anfield boss Rafa Benitez, who beat off major competition and was helped by the fact that Pompey still owe Liverpool money from the signing of Peter Crouch.
Benitez was able to offer a bigger package as a result and that was enough to thwart Chelsea. Liverpool have been keen on Johnson for a year and his signing solves a problem position.
It looked like Chelsea were attempting to hijack the move yesterday but if this report is correct, it was too late to stop Johnson moving to Anfield. Would Johnson really have thought about returning to his old club?

Liverpool Star Refuses To Rule Out Move
Xabi Alonso has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Liverpool this summer.
The Spain international was expected to leave Anfield 12 months ago when Reds boss Rafael Benitez attempted to sign Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry.
Alonso ultimately stayed on Merseyside and saw his stock rise on the back of an impressive season.
That has led to suggestions that Juventus and Real Madrid could be back in for the midfielder and Alonso is remaining non-committal on his future.
"I am happy at Liverpool but in football you cannot close the doors on anything because you don't know what will happen," he said.
"I do not plan to go. With (Sami) Hyypia already gone, I am one of the senior players alongside (Jamie) Carragher and (Steven) Gerrard.

Liverpool could lose Torres, Mascherano & Alonso this summer
/ Transfer gossip
21/06/2009
Rafa Benitez could lose three of his most important players this summer, according to the Sunday tabloids this morning.
The News of the World claim that Chelsea are set to bid £50million for Fernando Torres, The Sunday Times claims that the Blues could bid up to £60million for the Spanish international striker.
This comes just a week after Manchester United were linked with a bid for "El Nino" and only days after Torres committed his future to the Merseyside giants.
Liverpool seem almost certain to lose Javier Mascherano after Real Madrid joined the race for the defensive midfielder.
The Argentine is believed to be keen on leaving England as his wife is unhappy and both Real Madrid and Barcelona are willing to pay £30million.
Speculation over the future of Xabi Alonso has continued, with the Sunday Mirror claiming today that Chelsea will bid £18million for the Spanish schemer.
Alonso added to the speculation yesterday by admitting the pound’s fall in value against the euro was a factor in his future: "Of course we think about it, when you see your contract down by 30% you cannot be happy."
Thats pretty much rubbish..
But If Mascherano and Alonso leave, liverpool will really struggle

Valencia want to sell Villa to Chelsea
21.06.09 | tribalfootball.com
Valencia hope to sell David Villa to Chelsea, it has been revealed.
The Daily Star says Valencia want Villa to sign for Chelsea because Roman Abramovich has made the biggest offer for the star striker.
There is a bid on the table of £35m from Chelsea for the Spanish hitman, and that has not been matched by Real Madrid. The player himself is believed to want to stay in Spain with Madrid.
But Valencia president Manuel Llorente has told Villa that he needs to go to Chelsea for the sake of the club.

$550m will be around £330m.
Liverpool need to keep wage bill at it is for now, deppends if any of that $550m turns into English pounds.

According to reports in Spanish online paper SportsYA, Liverpool are set to recruit 16yr old Jesús Fernández Sáez from Cadiz.
"Suso" is apparently signing a 5yr deal with the Reds after both Barcelona and Real Madrid failed to convince either the player to join or Cadiz to sell him to them.
Cadiz will be receiving a higher fee than simply a compensation fee for bringing the youngster through the ranks.

Arsenal Set To Offer Kieran Gibbs A New Contract
Another academy graduate at the Emirates Stadium is set for a big future with the club...
Arsenal are set to offer young full-back Kieran Gibbs a new deal as a reward for his progress last season, according to The Mirror.
The Gunners academy graduate was given plenty of first team chances to shine towards the end of the campaign and he did not disappoint.
The 19-year-old was introduced to the first team in 2007 and has since made eight Premier League appearances for the club.
He was also given his chance in the Champions League, deputising for the injured Gael Clichy against Manchester United in the semi-finals. Not even an unfortunate slip that led to United's opener in that game could leave much of a stain on what was a highly positive start to his first eleven career.
Gibbs is currently on international duty with England at the Under-21 European Championships in Sweden, where he has so far started both games for Stuart Pearce's side.
However, he is likely to be rested for Monday's final group game against Germany as Pearce prepares for the semi-finals, which the team qualified for after a 2-0 victory against Spain.
The new deal he is set to be offered by Arsene Wenger is likely to be a long-term contract, with the Gunners looking to keep the left-sided player at the club for years to come.
Gibbs has been part of the Arsenal setup since 2004, having joined from Wimbledon, and is set to challenge Clichy for a first team spot next season.
Its good to see, english youngster coming through at Arsenal, playes great football, really proved himself last season, does well for england to.
Also i guess U21's will be rested against germany then.

I have some good news though
BERLUSCONI UNSURE OVER PIRLO
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is sure Alexandre Pato will stay at the club but admits Andrea Pirlo's future is less certain.
There have been suggestions further stars could leave San Siro this summer following Kaka's switch to Real Madrid.
A number of players, including Pato and Pirlo, have been linked with transfers to Chelsea, where former Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti now manages.
However, Berlusconi is confident Pato will enjoy an impressive season at Milan while he is hopeful playmaker Pirlo will also stay.
"We are going to see what we do with Pirlo, I hope that he is going to stay and I was the first to say so, but we must assess the situation," Berlusconi said on Milan Channel.
"Pato is going to complete an amazing career and I think that he can replace Kaka."
On the futures of Brazil forward Ronaldinho and experienced midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, Berlusconi said: "Ronaldinho will be fine this year.
"There is no problem with Ambrosini, who wants to extend his contract to another season."
Berlusconi also feels the club, under new boss Leonardo, will return to winning ways next term.
He added: "This year we have a great team, last season we wasted our finish by giving the ball away too often in decisive moments."
HULL REVEAL OWEN INTEREST
Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has confirmed the club's interest in signing Newcastle United striker Michael Owen 'on the right terms'.
Owen's contract at St James' Park expires at the end of the month and his representatives have sent out a brochure to several Premier League clubs outlining his credentials.
Everton have been linked with a swoop for the former Liverpool star, but now ambitious Hull have thrown their hat into the ring.
Reports claim the Tigers are willing to offer Owen a one-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months and the terms will be heavily incetivised.
Duffen revealed Hull, who finished 17th in their debut season in the Premier League, are interested in taking the 29-year-old to the KC Stadium.
And Duffen is optimistic that he can persuade the England international to join the Tigers providing the 'right deal' can be agreed.
"We're interested in Michael Owen on the right terms," Duffen told the News of the World.
"He's a fantastic footballer. He's had a few injury problems, but we would have to be interested in him.
"If the right deal can be done then we would definitely be keen to sign him. We are an ambitious football club and we want to show that.
"It would be an enormous move for us, but the deal can be done if it is on the right terms."
MASCH EXIT 'NOT IMPOSSIBLE'
Liverpool coach Mauricio Pellegrino has failed to rule out the possibility of Javier Mascherano leaving Anfield.
The Argentina midfielder is said to be a target of Barcelona and it is claimed his agent, Walter Tamer, met with officials of the Spanish club on Wednesday.
Reds manager Rafa Benitez is adamant that Mascherano will not depart the side as he sees the 25-year-old as a vital component of his squad.
However, Pellegrino concedes 'anything is possible' in football, as Barca and also Real Madrid continue to be linked with an offer for Mascherano's services.
"Every time negotiations are underway, money always makes the decision," Pellegrino told sport.es.
"Anyway, Mascherano is such an important player for us, like other ones can be for Barca.
"I do not want to say anything about it because we already know that in football's world, nothing is impossible."
VILLA LEFT CONFUSED
David Villa is not expecting a speedy resolution to the uncertainty surrounding his Valencia future.
The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a transfer to Real Madrid this summer, with Los Che open to a move as they continue to struggle financially.
A transfer was expected to be nearing completion only for Villa's agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, to claim that Valencia are no longer willing to discuss the potential sale of the forward.
Villa, who is currently on international duty at the Confederations Cup, has admitted that the past week has been a difficult period of his career.
"I don't believe that my future will be settled quickly," said Villa.
"The past week hasn't been easy, nobody can imagine what I've been through. It has been a really bad time. I must just put it out of my mind."
Meanwhile, Liverpool striker Fernando Torres feels that his compatriot Villa will remain in Primera Division, despite reported interest from Chelsea.
"Listen, I think Villa will play in Spain next year," said Torres in the Daily Star.
"It's his decision - but I think Barcelona and Real Madrid are trying to sign him and he will be in Spain.
"I don't think Chelsea's money will tempt him, or United. I think with his abilities and qualities he is better for the Spanish league - he scores over 25 goals every season there.
"I would like him to come to Liverpool of course but I think he is too expensive for us.
"I would prefer it if he played in Spain than signed for Chelsea or United. That's what I'll tell him!"
DAILLY STILL HOPES TO STAY AT RANGERS
Christian Dailly will not "rule out completely" another season at Rangers but admits he may have to continue his career in England.
Walter Smith brought the former Scotland player from West Ham on a free in January 2008 and used him intermittently as a utility player.
The 35-year-old looked to have played his last game for Rangers as an 88th-minute substitute for Kyle Lafferty in the Homecoming Scottish Cup final win over Falkirk at Hampden, after which the Ibrox club confirmed they would not be offering him another contract.
However, after completing the the Men's Health Forum Scotland 10K race in Glasgow, Dailly said that is set to meet Smith next week.
The former Dundee United, Derby and Blackburn player, who commuted from England during his time at Ibrox, admits that if he is not re-signed by Rangers, then he would only consider clubs south of the border.
"I spoke to Rangers at the end of the season and I have to go back and speak with the manager again," he said.
"We said that after three or four weeks we would have a chat again so that's what we will do.
"In an ideal world, I think the manager would like me to go back.
"But I don't think a lot of those decisions will be in his hands because obviously it looks like there will be a lot of financial restrictions at the club.
"I've not bothered with anything else because I wanted to turn the phone off for three weeks to relax and I'm still within that period.
"But next week I will be able to get something sorted out for next season.
"So I wouldn't rule it out completely but I think it is probably unlikely."
He added: "I am still keen to play, I love my job and I am fit enough to do it.
"I live down south so I'm restricted.
"Rangers were great, they are an unbelievable club.
"I was able to fly up and down, they gave me a flat and it worked really well.
"It was easier than being at Southampton on loan, when I was driving four or five hours each day to get there and back, which is a bit daft at times.
"The manager trusted me to train at Rangers and I had an understanding with him that I wouldn't chap on his door expecting to play all the time.
"I was there in case I was needed.
"But there is no reason why, if you have the knowledge and train clever, that you can't do keep on playing."
If Dailly has played his last game for Rangers, he admits that his cameo appearance at Hampden as striker, the position in which he started out his career at Dundee United, would be a good way in which to end his association with the Light Blues.
He said: "I went up front when I came on and it was great.
"I just went straight back in to striker's mode and I understood it completely.
"There were a few games where the manager was going to do that then decided not to bother but he did it in the cup final.
"I probably should have scored, I nearly set one up and I got booked, so it was quite an eventful last few minutes.
"I'm so lucky to have been part of a club that size and I really enjoyed my time there.
"I was there about 16 months in total and we were in five cup finals, one of them the UEFA Cup final, and two SPL championships went to the last day.
"So, other than the disappointment of going out of Europe against Kaunas, the whole thing has been a great rollercoaster ride."

BIRMINGHAM CLOSE ON HART DEAL
Birmingham City chairman David Gold says it will be a 'disappointment' if the club do not tie up a loan deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Premier League new boys Birmingham are expected to finalise the season-long signing of Hart following the end of England's European Under 21 Championship campaign.
Man City boss Mark Hughes is willing to loan Hart out next season to allow the 22-year-old to gain further experience at first-team level.
Hart started last term as the club's first choice, but he was dropped to the bench following the January arrival of Shay Given from Newcastle United.
He now appears to be on his way to St Andrews and Gold expressed his eagerness to conclude a loan deal for the former Shrewsbury Town youngster.
"It will be a disappointment if we do not tie up a deal quickly," said Gold in the News of the World.
Hart is currently with the Under 21 squad in Sweden and admits he must be playing regularly next season if he is to break into the senior squad for the 2010 World Cup finals.
"The coach has said you need to be playing," commented Hart. "That is what you want to be doing anyway, regardless of whether it gets you in the England side."
WHELAN: VALENCIA A STEAL
Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan believes Manchester United will be getting an 'absolute steal' if they sign Antonio Valencia.
United are hoping to land Ecuador international Valencia following the decision to accept a world record £80million offer from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Whelan plans to meet with United and Real, who are also keen on Valencia, in the coming days, while an unnamed third club have also shown an interest.
Reports claim United are favourites to nab Valencia, although the reported £18million asking price is rumoured to be proving a sticking point.
However, Whelan is confident that, for the sums being discussed, the Premier League champions will be securing a bargain if they conclude a deal for Valencia.
"I think Antonio is the best wide right player anywhere and that includes Franck Ribery," Whelan told The People. "If this lad goes to Man United he will be a sensation there.
"Within a few months and over the course of a season the United supporters would come to worship this lad.
"We see him week-in, week-out in games and in training and he's a world-class player.
"He doesn't play the same way as Ronaldo. There is no show or flash, but he's a world-class player and he'll take some replacing. No-one tackles him or takes the ball off him because they can't get near him.
"At the kind of money that's been talked about for Antonio he'd be an absolute steal. United appear to be getting £80m for Ronaldo and they would be paying out a fraction of that for Valencia, so it would be great business because this boy has got immense ability."
NO CAMPBELL DECISION
Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell has reiterated he has not made a decision on his future and will wait until the end of the European Under 21 Championship before considering his options.
Campbell is currently with the Under 21 squad in Sweden, but Hull City are waiting for the chance to speak to the youngster.
Hull, where the forward spent most of the 2007/08 season on loan, have had an offer accepted by United and hope to convince Campbell to return to the KC Stadium.
Newcastle United have also been linked with a bid for the 21-year-old, who endured a frustrating spell on loan at Tottenham Hotspur last term.
However, the impending departures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez have prompted rumours that Campbell could be offered a lifeline at Old Trafford.
Campbell, though, is keen to put his club future on the backburner as he concentrates on England's quest to become European Under 21 champions.
"I just want to play football here at the minute and concentrate on England's tournament," said Campbell on Sky Sports News.
"All that stuff can be sorted out when I'm done here and have had my holiday.
"I've decided that I'm just going to concentrate on England's football."
AGENT: CISSOKHO STILL SET FOR MILAN
Aly Cissokho's agent is confident the player's move from Porto to AC Milan will still go through.
The two clubs agreed a fee, believed to be between 10 and 15 million euros, earlier this month but the deal stalled this week when the French defender's medical showed up a tooth problem.
However, the 21-year-old's representative Roger Boli believes his client will be wearing Rossoneri colours next season.
"It is ongoing, but I'm pretty confident," Boli told L'Equipe.
"The hardest thing was that the two clubs reach an agreement on the transfer fee."
DROGBA PLANS TO STAY AT CHELSEA
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has admitted nothing is certain in football but he still plans to stay at Stamford Bridge next season.
The 31-year-old striker has always maintained that he will remain with the club at least until his contract expires in the summer of 2010
"I have one year remaining on my contract with Chelsea," Drogba told L'Equipe.
"Last September when my book was published, I stated I will stay until the end of my contract.
"However a lot of things can happen that won't depend on me. When I was at Marseille I really thought I could stay a long time, and a few days later I was asked to leave, so..."
Drogba has regularly been linked with a move to Inter Milan, where he would be reunited with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.
The forwarsd understands that it is Mourinho's desire to one day possess a strike partnership of himself and Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o.
Drogba is not sure such a scenario could ever become a reality, although he would love to see Eto'o join Chelsea.
He explained: "Could I play one day with Eto'o? Yes, it was even almost done at one moment when I was at Chelsea.
"Does Mourinho want it? Yes, it is his dream. So they just both have to come to Chelsea!
"Seriously, if he signs at Chelsea, Samuel will have a great experience with a great coach."
PALACE AGREE SEARS DEAL
Crystal Palace have agreed a deal to sign Freddie Sears on a season-long loan deal from West Ham.
Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is keen for the teenage striker to gain greater first-team experience next season and a host of Championship clubs had shown an interest.
Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough were among the teams to have made an approach for the 19-year-old.
However, Palace have now confirmed that Sears, who failed to score in 22 appearances last term, will spend the campaign on loan at Selhurst Park.
TAMUDO EYES PREMIER LEAGUE SWITCH
Raul Tamudo's agent has confirmed that the Espanyol striker is currently negotiating a move to the Premier League.
Tomas Duran did not reveal the identity of interested clubs but it is thought that Wigan, Hull and Blackburn are chasing the forward.
New Latics boss Roberto Martinez has already signed Jordi Gomez from Espanyol and is rumoured to be especially keen on bringing Tamudo to the DW Stadium.
The 31-year-old's agent insists that a deal has not yet been completed and his client would only leave Espanyol, who he has been with since 1996, if the money was right.
"It is true there is interest but I cannot say any names. There still isn't a done deal but negotiations are in progress," Duran said in the Catalan press.
"Raul will only move if given a big proposition."

Great news posts.. Just under 8 weeks to go for new season! Fkin pukka!
MAICON CRAVES EUROPEAN GLORY
Inter Milan wing-back Maicon has again hinted his future could lie away from the San Siro if the club do not show signs of challenging for the Champions League.
Maicon, currently on Confederations Cup duty with Brazil in South Africa, has won the Serie A title in each of his three seasons so far with the Nerazzurri.
But domestic success does not seem to be enough for the 27-year-old, who craves European glory as well.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "My dream and that of my team is to win the Champions League. We want to do that with Inter but, if I cannot achieve it in Milan, I will try elsewhere.
"Real (Madrid)? It is a great team and to play in a great team is the desire of all players.
"I have a contract with Inter until 2013. After that, nobody knows what my future holds."
EBOUE QUIET OVER PSG LINK
Arsenal's Emmanuel Eboue says he knows nothing about a move to Paris St Germain after being linked with the Ligue 1 outfit.
Reports in France claim PSG are ready to table a €7million (£5.9million) bid for the defender.
Lots of transfer news coming through now
BOLTON: HANDS OFF DAVIES
Bolton have no intention of cashing in on captain Kevin Davies and will robustly reject any bids for the striker.
Last season the 32-year-old enjoyed his best Barclays Premier League campaign, scoring 12 goals, and former Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce is reported to be ready to make a £5million bid to take him back to Blackburn.
Allardyce originally brought Davies to the Reebok from Southampton in 2003 and was credited with resurrecting his stuttering career.
He sees the former Chesterfield forward as an ideal replacement for Roque Santa Cruz, who is on the verge of a big money move to Manchester City.
Davies, who endured a frustrating time at Ewood Park in the late 1990s after a £7.5million move from the Saints, only signed a new contract last year and £5million would represent good money for a player approaching the end of his career.
However, Wanderers have no intention of allowing their influential captain to depart.
No bids have yet been made for the player and Bolton intend to reject any approach as they value Davies too highly.

Wow! Fantastic news.. Reading every post, thanks Andy.:thumbs2:
Liverpool are only selling poop players..
KEANE TARGETS FOUR NEW FACES
Ipswich boss Roy Keane has indicated he would like to bring four players into his squad during the summer.
Keane has been linked with a host of players as he builds his team for his first full season in charge at Portman Road but the former Sunderland boss is keen to put the emphasis on quality rather than quantity.
"We are making progress with new signings, but these things take time and we need to be patient," Keane told the club's official website.
"We are not going to bring seven or eight players to the club.
"I'll be happy if I get four players I want but it's a big if and we are certainly not going to spend over what we consider to be the right valuation for the players."
PAV SEARCHING FOR NEW CLUB
Roman Pavlyuchenko's agent has declared that he is looking for a new club for the Tottenham striker.
The Russia international moved to White Hart Lane last summer but only showed glimpses of his best form and struggled to stay in the side under Harry Redknapp.
With Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane returning to Spurs and more new arrivals expected during the summer, Pavlyuchenko has been tipped to leave the club.
And his representative Oleg Artemov has now announced that he is looking at other options.
"I am busy with the search for a new club for Roman," Artemov said in the Daily Mirror.
Pavlyuchenko made a big-money switch from Spartak Moscow 12 months ago and Artemov accepts that it will take a considerable offer for Tottenham to part with the 27-year-old.
Stuttgart are considering a swoop for Pavlyuchenko but Artemov concedes there have been no formal discussions as yet.
He explained: "Earlier this week I received a phone call from the Stuttgart manager who officially confirmed their interest in Pavlyuchenko.
"But it is still too early to begin intensive negotiations. A lot is going to depend on the player's opinion and that of Tottenham.
"What I know for sure is that Tottenham are going to lose money and sell Pavlyuchenko just anywhere for any money.
"I talked to (Spurs chairman) Daniel Levy. He told me that he doesn't think Roman has become cheaper now.
"Forwards are always in short supply in football and their value shouldn't drop even in the credit crunch times."

SNEIJDER DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE REAL
Wesley Sneijder says he has "no intention" of leaving Real Madrid after being linked with a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.
The Holland international has seen his future with the Spanish giants become the subject of plenty of speculation recently after they swooped to sign Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo in big-money deals at the start of the summer transfer window.
Sneijder, however, says it will be an honour to play alongside his new team-mates at the Bernabeu.
"I have no intention of leaving Real Madrid," he told AS.
"Nobody called me to speak about that and what I want to do is stay at Madrid because I battled hard to join this club and being successful in this shirt is my aim.
"No doubt about it. I am pretty much relaxed and cannot wait to get back to work.
"Playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka or Franck Ribery is an honour for every player."

Portsmouth full-back Djimi Traore has signed a two-year deal with AS Monaco, who play in the French top flight.
The former Liverpool player spent the tail end of last season on loan at Birmingham, making three appearances.
Traore joined Liverpool from French side Laval at the age of 18 and went on to be part of their 2005 Champions League-winning side.
The 29-year-old Mali international made 136 Liverpool appearances in a seven-year spell at Anfield.

NEW DEAL FOR EBANKS-BLAKE
Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is set to pen a new four-year deal at Molineux, the club have confirmed.
The 23-year-old fired in 25 goals last season as Wolves won the Championship, finishing as the division's top goalscorer for the second season running.
And the club were delighted to offer the former Manchester United reserve a new contract which ties him to the club until 2013.
"This is a reward to Sylvan for his outstanding goalscoring for the last two years," chief executive Jez Moxey told www.wolves.co.uk.
"To win the Golden Boot two years running is a superb achievement and we want him to feel absolutely magnificent going into the Premier League, where hopefully he can do exceptionally well.
"We realise it's a big step-up but he's really happy about being here and he sees his long-term future here too and we feel we have to act accordingly."
Wolves bought Ebanks-Blake for £1.5 million in January 2008 and the forward immediately repaid their faith in him, scoring seven goals in his first eight games.
He has notched 37 goals for Wolves and Moxey hopes his scoring streak continues in the Barclays Premier League.
"He has been magnificent for us and he epitomises the determination and focus of the players here," added Moxey. "He has also given great value for money and he's been literally magnificent in every aspect.
"As soon as we said we were interested in him, he wanted to come and he loves it here - he loves the fans, he loves scoring goals, he loves playing at Molineux and his team-mates and the manager think he's fantastic."

They should both go chelsea.

But now many great names have gone and those that stay are too old against some fully fit 25 year olds, but Italy are a football nation and many great players are their..
The 80s, 90s and 00s have given us great Italian players, the new decade should be even better, the young players need to be given a chance to shine and become the new Italian team of the 10s.. (10s sounds so poo, roll on the 20s!)

Portsmouth's England defender Glen Johnson has agreed to join Liverpool in a £17.5m move.
Chelsea and Manchester City were also interested but it is thought Anfield was his preferred destination.
Johnson had limited first-team chances at Chelsea in his spell there, but established himself in the England team after his move to Portsmouth in 2007.
It is understood Pompey still owe Liverpool £7m from the deal that saw them buy Peter Crouch last summer.
He should have gone to chelsea if he wants to win things

Van Persie signs new Arsenal contract
June - 23 - 2009
According to a report in todays Star, the Dutch international Robin Van Persie has put to bed all the rumours that he will be leaving Arsenal this summer by signing a new £3.5m contract which will keep him at the Emirates until 2013. The report said: ROBIN VAN PERSIE has handed Arsenal a big boost by agreeing a new deal.
The Gunners spent much of last season anxiously trying to persuade the Dutchman to sign.
Van Persie, who had been linked with a shock move to Manchester United, had just one more season, with an option for a year more, on his current deal.
But he has accepted terms thought to be in the region of £3.5m a year on a two-year extension.
Are Arsenal fans happy that he has resigned? Or is he injured just that little bit too often?
Im happy he re signed.

Marcotti tips Felipe Melo to join Arsenal
One of Britain’s few respected football journalists, Gabriele Marcotti, has claimed that Fiorentia’s Felipe Melo is on his way to Arsenal. Speaking to sports radio station talkSPORT last night, Marcotti tipped Brazil midfielder Melo to join the Gunners at the conclusion of the Confederations Cup.
Melo joined La Viola a year ago in a €13m deal from Spanish outfit Almeria and has thoroughly impressed all in his first season in Italy, even forcing himself into Brazil’s starting side. The 25-year-old had previously been touted to join Inter Milan, but has been linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks. Melo reiterated his desire to stay at Fiorentina on Sunday, stating:
“It’s clear that interest from big clubs makes me happy because it shows I have worked well, but I would like to once again confirm that I am very well in Florence and have a great relationship with my teammates, the club and the fans.”
It seems though, that a move to Arsenal was too good to turn down for Melo. According to the ever-reliable Marcotti, the deal will not be finalised until the conclusion of Brazil’s Confederations Cup campaign. Melo’s agent, though, has been in heavy communication with Arsenal and is happy with the contract Arsenal have put on the table.
Marcotti then continued, stating that Fiorentina are also keen to open negotiations for Arsenal-owned defender Philippe Senderos. He claimed that Senderos has enjoyed his time in Serie A and would jump a the chance of joining Fiorentina. Marcotti did however make it clear that the deals for Senderos and Melo are completely seperate, although one would think that a smooth deal for Melo would do no harm to Senderos’ chances of joining Fiorentina.
