Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic insists he is staying at Old Trafford.
The no-nonsense centre-back has been linked with a move away from the Barclays Premier League champions.
With Cristiano Ronaldo set to complete an £80million move to Real Madrid this summer, the loss of the another influential player would have proved a real blow for Sir Alex Ferguson.
But Vidic told the News of the World: "I am very happy here and next season we will start again. I have got no desire to go anywhere.
"People forget that when you join a new league you don't just have to adjust to the country, you also have to adjust to the style of football.
"I feel my game is well adjusted to England now and I want to play a part in a successful team next season. United can make it a record four titles in a row next year."

14-06-2009, 02:23 PM
Ben, are you applying for Elimination?
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Manchester United did well to keep Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford for as long as they did before finally succumbing to Real Madrid's advances.
United's acceptance of Madrid's £80million bid for the Portugal playmaker earlier this week brought an end to one of the longest-running transfer sagas of recent years.
Ronaldo's desire to leave the reigning three-time Barclays Premier League champions had become all too apparent in recent months, and Ferguson insists it was out of the question to expect the player to stay any longer.
"He wanted to leave, it's as simple as that," Ferguson told The Mail on Sunday.
"He was going to go some time.
"We've done well to keep him for so long."
Madrid's record swoop for the FIFA World Player of the Year is set to be concluded by June 30.

MILAN SWOOP FOR CISSOKHO
AC Milan have agreed to sign left-back Aly Cissokho from Porto.
The Frenchman will travel to Milan this evening and undergo a medical at the San Siro on Monday.
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani told the club's official website, www.acmilan.com: "The negotiations during the night were intense.
"We see Cissokho as very strong, as shown by the interest in him, even in the final hours, from top European clubs.
"But in the end, our long-standing friendship with the Porto management prevailed."
The 21-year-old impressed in Porto's run to the Champions League quarter-finals last season and had been linked with a move to French side Lyon.
Instead he could be tasked with helping to fill the shoes of legendary Rossoneri defender Paulo Maldini, who retired at the end of last season.

ROBINSON EYES HOOPS SWITCH
West Brom captain Paul Robinson admits he would love to follow Tony Mowbray to Celtic Park.
Mowbray is set to be confirmed as Celtic manager in the coming days after the Glasgow club finally met West Brom's compensation demands on Saturday.
Robinson has been linked with a move to Bolton but the left-back would be keen to move to Parkhead.
"I'm desperately disappointed about the gaffer leaving," Robinson, 30, told the Sunday Mail.
"I'm considering my future and if the chance came to go to Celtic with the gaffer I'd be delighted to do so.
"I came close to moving to Parkhead last year but it didn't happen. Maybe it will now.
"I would love to move to a Premier League side but working with Tony at a huge club such as Celtic is appealing."
Meanwhile, St Johnstone chairman Geoff Brown has urged manager Derek McInnes to snub a potential move to The Hawthorns.
The former West Brom skipper has emerged as one of the favourites to replace Mowbray after leading Saints to the Irn-Bru First Division title in his first season in charge.
Brown told the Scottish Mail on Sunday any approach from West Brom would not be welcome, and added: "Other than the fact that I believe Derek is serving his apprenticeship with St Johnstone and doing a good job, that was done in the First Division.
"There is another test coming up for him in the SPL and I would like to think he will stay for the challenge.
"If he does well for us then, for obvious reasons, a big club will come in and look for him."
VIDIC STAYING PUT
RONALDO: I LOVE TO BE HATED
Cristiano Ronaldo is ready for his proposed £80million move to Real Madrid to make him an object of hate - and feels he will thrive under the insults.
The Portugal winger is set to seal his switch to the Spanish giants by the end of June after Manchester United accepted a world record bid.
And the 24-year-old wants to "re-write the history of football" when he lines up alongside the likes of fellow Madrid new boy and prospective team-mate Kaka.
He said in an interview with French magazine So Foot as reported in the News of the World: "I love it when people jeer me. I love to see the hate in their eyes, to hear the insults. It doesn't bother me.
"It's true lots of people hate me but there are even more who love me and who support me. I feel bad only when I play badly. Fortunately, that happens rarely."
He added: "I still have a long way to go. I really want to re-write the history of football.
"I am aware I'm already among the best of the best but I want to continue to write many more beautiful pages."
Ronaldo was eclipsed by Barcelona's Lionel Messi in last month's Champions League final in Rome, the Argentinian scoring the Catalans' second with a fine header of which Ronaldo himself would have been proud.
The pair's rivalry will intensify in the Primera Division next season should Ronaldo's move go through, with Madrid and Barca bitter rivals, but the Portuguese is not interested in comparing himself to Messi.
He said: "I have nothing to envy Lionel for. I don't compare myself to others. I am Cristiano Ronaldo - and I can win more medals than anybody else. I don't like to relax. The fans want to see a great Cristiano Ronaldo so I try to never disappoint."
United's acceptance of Madrid's offer earlier this week brought an end to one of the longest-running transfer sagas of recent years.
And Sir Alex Ferguson believes the Barclays Premier League champions did well to keep Ronaldo at Old Trafford for as long as they did.
"He wanted to leave, it's as simple as that," Ferguson told The Mail on Sunday.
"He was going to go some time. We've done well to keep him for so long."
Ronaldo's desire to leave has provoked anger among sections of United fans, who feel the club helped him become the player he is after signing him from Sporting Lisbon six years ago.
But former United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz, a former Madrid boss who also knows Ronaldo from his current post as Portugal coach, believes his loyalty cannot be questioned.
"When you talk about loyalty, you must understand the loyalty has two directions," Queiroz, who enjoyed two spells as Sir Alex Ferguson's number two, told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek programme.
"In terms of the modern game, loyalty is to be a great professional, to be committed to the club, to be engaged with the coach and the vision of the club and nobody can put one thing against Cristiano because as a professional he's brilliant.
"But as you know with 95% or 96% of movement in football it is the managers at the clubs that dictate the movements."
A former Madrid great has warned the winger, though, that he will have to come to terms with being just another player at the Bernabeu.
Zinedine Zidane moved from Juventus to Madrid for a then world record fee in 2001.
He said in the Daily Mirror: "Despite the vast amount of money available in his transfer to Real Madrid, Ronaldo will have to come to terms with being just another star at the club.
"With the arrival of Brazilian Kaka and more expected to follow under returning president Florentino Perez, he cannot expect to take centre stage at a club like Real Madrid.
"Besides, while the supporters love to embrace superstar players, collective success is far more important to them than that of any individual."
BARNES SET FOR TRANMERE JOB
John Barnes is poised to return to English football as manager of Coca-Cola League One side Tranmere, according to the Jamaica Football Federation.
The former Watford and Liverpool winger, capped 79 times by England, has stepped down from his role as Jamaica coach in order to succeed Ronnie Moore, who was sacked by Tranmere at the end of last season.
The Jamaica Football Federation vehemently denied reports Barnes had been sacked and revealed he had notified them of his decision to step down in order to take charge at Prenton Park.
Barnes, 45, was appointed as coach of the Reggae Boyz in September last year.
A JFF statement explained: "His contract was due to expire on June 30, 2009. Barnes secured a contract with Tranmere Rovers in England for the upcoming English football season and advised the JFF of that development last Sunday morning.
"With Barnes securing a job prior to the Gold Cup, the JFF decided in the long-term interest of the game not to offer him a short-term extension, but to appoint Theodore Whitmore as national coach for the remainder of the life of this administration."
The decision to replace Barnes with Whitmore, Jamaica's coach during the final three World Cup qualifiers last year, was confirmed following an emergency meeting of JFF directors.
Jamaican-born Barnes began his playing career with Watford in 1981 and made his debut for the Hornets aged 17 before then Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish paid £900,000 to take him to Anfield in the summer of 1987.
Barnes quickly cemented his place as one of Liverpool's outstanding players, playing alongside the likes of Ian Rush, Peter Beardsley and John Aldridge.
He had a brief spell at Newcastle where he teamed up with Dalglish again, and finished his playing career at Charlton.
Barnes also bossed Celtic, working in tandem with director of football Dalglish at Parkhead, but the partnership proved unsuccessful and he was sacked after seven months.
John barnes will send tranmere into the premiership

GIBSON: BORO ARE NOT FOR SALE
Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson has strongly denied reports he is ready to sell the club.
The Sunday Express claimed the lifelong Boro fan was ready to end his day-to-day involvement with the club and invite outside investment following their relegation to the Coca-Cola Championship.
But Gibson on Sunday issued a strongly-worded statement insisting he is committed to restoring the Teessiders to the top flight.
"This report is totally inaccurate," said Gibson.
"The club is not for sale. I'm absolutely committed to Middlesbrough Football Club and I'm going to stay with the club. The fans can ignore this silly report.
"I've made that absolutely clear in the recent past. My sole focus for Middlesbrough Football Club is getting us back in the Premier League. That's what we're all working towards and we believe we can do it."
Boro chief executive Keith Lamb echoed the owner's thoughts, dismissing the reports as "wide of the mark".
"Steve and I have gone to extraordinary lengths recently to make it clear to the media that the club is not for sale and never has been," said Lamb.
"Steve's commitment remains as strong as ever. We would not normally react to what has become known as football's 'silly season' but this is so wide of the mark it's important Boro fans know that Steve's loyalty to the club has never wavered."

Hurry back Jayson.
Former Scotland skipper Gary McAllister has admitted he would like to return to Motherwell as manager.
McAllister was sounded out about the job two years ago before Well chairman John Boyle appointed Mark McGhee, who was unveiled as Aberdeen boss on Friday.
The former Liverpool player was not interested in taking over then for family reasons and amid concerns over working on a small budget at Fir Park.
But McAllister, who began his career at home town club Motherwell before moving to Leicester in 1985, is looking to get back into management after an 11-month spell at Leeds ended in December.
The former Coventry boss told the Sunday Mail: "Motherwell are my club and the job appeals to me.
"I spoke to the chairman before Mark got the job but we'll need to see what happens in the next few days."

Arsenal boss Wenger is very keen on Everton’s Tim Cahill
June - 14 - 2009
Everton boss David Moyes has very adamant that he will be doing his utmost to keep all his top players at Goodison Park next season. But how aware is he that Arsene Wenger is extremely keen on his Australian midfielder Tim Cahill?
Wenger left a quote with the Australian Sunday Telegraph yesterday in an interview which plainly expressed Wengers admiration for Cahill.
Wenger said: “He is efficient, he is a team player, he works very hard and in any English league, which has a reputation for being strong in the air, he dominates everybody in the air.
“When you look at his size, it just shows you his intelligence. He must be a very intelligent player, because his anticipation level is very strong, and he is a fighter as well.”
But Cahill, although aware that other top teams may be interested in him, has made it clear that he feels very loyal to Everton, and is unlikely to look elsewhere.
“Every player would love to play in the Champions League and be winning medals and all that but you have to assess what’s right for your family, what’s right for you and what the club is trying to build,” Cahill told The Age.
“I love silverware, I love all the award nominations and all that but I also think I’ve achieved a lot and have been part of a league team that’s been contesting more and more, not a team that’s slumping or that’s stayed stagnant.
“I’ve been here for five years and they’ve always rewarded and looked after me.”
He'd be great additions to Arsenal first team, Happy to see he has his morals though, and he is sticking by them, he will not move anywhere.

Our Midfield best is..
Fabregas
Rosicky
Denilson
Song
Diaby
Walcott
Thats about all i can really think of.
so if we played
Walcott - Fabregas - Cahill - Rosicky
It could be good.
Though denilson and song have showed great promise, i think songs best in really deep defensive midfield or centre back though, tall, strong player.

Yes and we had 2 great players in Eduardo and Rosicky who never played once.
People like Fabregas who played less than gerrard and torres.
Big difference makers.
