Sunderland new target: Pavel Pogrebnyak
Anyone who doesn't know him, he's basically responsible for Zenit's run to UEFA 2008. Would be an amazing signing.

Just put £1 on Mendes being the first goalscorer in the Rangers game. Was gonna go with Lafferty because he showed promise at the end of last season but decided to go with the safe option haha. 16/1 though!

But yeh they probably wont..
We should be able to win it if we put a good team out.
And Chelsea vs Reading!!!
Reading 2 - 1 Chelsea....
Realistically Chelsea 3 - 0 Reading.

Out of the 4 teams Arsenal are the best.
And Reading are poor now, lost all their great players their first goalie and brought no one in, Chelsea without a full squad could beat em easily i think.

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/4522605.Burnley_striker_Thommo___s_beer_during_a_g ame_/
Hahaha.
BURNLEY striker Steven Thompson has revealed how a pre-season prank has cost him a week’s wages.
Unable to curtail his sprint at Portland Timbers PGE Park in the final game of the Clarets’ tour of America, the former Rangers and Cardiff City front man gatecrashed a pitchside beer garden.
Thompson, who scored Burnley’s second goal in a 2-2 draw that night, hurdled a barrier before landing next to the table of a spectator, who was enjoying a pint while watching the game, until the 30-year-old appeared on the scene and helped himself to it.
“I kind of fell over the billboards at the side of the pitch and there was a cafe right on the side,” Thompson explained.
“I landed on this person’s table and I don’t know what happened, I just instinctively grabbed this guy’s pint and had a drink.
“It shows you how bad a game it was that it got the biggest cheer of the night.
"It was just a bit of fun and it went down well, it was a bit of light-hearted banter, and the guy was really decent about it. He was laughing.
“The manager did say I was fined a week’s wages though for being the first player he’s ever seen drinking during a match.
“I think that will be a first and last and one and only!”

John claiming, that Moroccan International Marouane Chamakh at Bordeaux and St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi “could be on their way” to the Emirates at £6million a-piece, while Roma striker Mirko Vucinic might arrive for £12million. Along with Arsenal apparently still having the opportunity of landing former legend Patrick Vieira on a free-transfer from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

This guy has it spot on, he should be Wengers transfer help..
Ok, so Arsenal have lost Adebayor and Toure but come on Arsenal fans, we need to trust Arsene Wenger to turn the Arsenal ship around, and I think I've realised how he could do so.
With Wenger saying that he isnt going to spend unwisely and he is going to spend money if a good oppotunity arrises, that for me sights 3 targets that Wenger and Arsenal are sighting.

No. 1 Brede Hangeland
No. 2 Klass Jan Huntelaar
No. 3 Patrick Viera

Should have been 1-0 to Arsenal..
Arsenal gotta make these chances turn into goals!
Ben.. Maybe you should lock the football thread part 2 and make this thread part 3.. Plus you will be helping James.
5 or 6 weeks time we can bang em together and post in the glory football thread.. Great times.
Yes maybe so..
Is a good idea.
I want to see Eduardo come on..

We need to stop going offside start timing runs better.. chances into goals thats our usual problem.

Such an epic thread  Yep, and after BB the other football threads will merge into that thread to become one huge epic football thread for footy fans..
And it will be unlocked.
Admin wil have to change it because it does actually have more replies than that, because it started going down it has like 100 more replies than it shows. True a good 100 at least, but if nothing can be done then it will be ok..
