No doubt Sgt Amy will have a good reason for her continuing absence. It will have to be a good one to get her out of a Court martial.
Perhaps theres been a secret wedding and she's finally nabbed Dermot :hugesmile::blush::hugesmile:
I hope so, BusyBee, I hope so.
You don't suppose . . . . . . . no, I'm being silly . . . . . . . she's fallen into enemy hands and is being held hostage?
Nah, I think your idea that she and Dermot are away together on a well-deserved break is a far more plausible explanation.

Were were mystified about this as well, but when a report lands on the desk of the red caps, it has to be checked out.
Like I said, from experience, conducting internal affairs investigations are not pleasent. Sometimes the people I have had to investigate never knew they were under investigation and to this day some still do not know.
There may still be some investigations to carry out, but my tour of duty with the red caps is at an end and I will be returning to my squadron.

The weather today reminds me of a certain holiday in Italy when I was but a girl.........We drove throught fog in Switzerland, rain in the 'Dolomites', and had the wettest 'June' weather the Adriatic coast had seen for 30 years ! Just when I thought I was going to get some more flying hours in, I discoved I am yet again seconded to the red caps to continue further investigations in to a possible mole.
We can not be more specific but we must ask certain persons not to leave town.
Apparently the last mole hunt we had may have been compromised by an admin blunder. The little oik who made it has been moved on :nono:
Sorry about all this but there is still a credible warning about a mole in the operation.
Later on today there may be a decision from central command about a possible suspension of Operation Boris Watch.
I do not think there is anything in this, but we have to check these things out.
Thank you for your patience and co-operation

Back to school,
No time to shirk,
Lots of fun ,
But lots of work.
The holidays over,
Such places we'ver been,
So much we did,
So much we've seen.
So pack up your school bag,
With pen and with book,
How long is it 'half term'?
In my diary I'll look.
It's not that I'm wishing,
My whole life away,
But sanity will be gone
Untill that VERY day !!!!!

With some techie expertiese we have finaly tracked down the security breach and how some scummy hack from a gutter press got hold of some sensitive stuff.
Someone at central command was using a wireless laptop to update sensitive passwords which got scanned by the hack with a scanner he had bought.
Apparently a lot of businesses and sometimes banking institutions are vulnerable to this form of attack. There was a piece in Saturday's Evening Chronicle here in Newcastle. After seeing this and a quick word to central command the whole thing is cleared up.
The security breach was not due to small burrowing fury mammal after all.
Procedures have now been tightened up and the wireless lap tops will not be available when dealing with classified material.
Oh well it just goes to show, never attribute to malice what can be accounted for by sheer stupidity
Maybe I can get back to my unit now ...
You worry me sometimes Sticks

what are the tattie holidays Kaz,where I come from tatties are potatoes:laugh::laugh:
please don't tell me your school kids get a holiday in honour of potatoes:laugh::laugh:
that would be great though they could get to eat chips all day:thumbs::thumbs:
Ha ha, thought that might confuse you!
OK, Rach - I'll try to explain. Firstly - yes, tatties are potatoes.
Historically, we always got the first two weeks in October off school so that you could go to the 'tattie picking' and earn some much needed pennies. Backbreaking hours spent picking up potatoes which had been dug up by a tractor - putting them in baskets - and then getting paid for your hard labour! :hello:
Now, most of the potatoes are harvested totally by machine so the manual labour's no longer required, but the school kids still get the same fortnight off. So, shorter summer holidays than the English schools, but 2 weeks in October instead.
Hope that helps!

They sell them on Bury Market, and when I used to live in Bury, I would love to buy a back of them.
They are sort of new potatoes steam cooked and served in a paper bag. Add salt to taste.
I bet Janette is able to indulge in them if she so desired. I wish I could again as no one does them in Newcastle :bawling:

Evening all.
Well done Boris such self-control. Trouble is there is salad and there is salad. The first is slimming the second includes such things as potato salad, mayonaise, coleslaw, rice salad, buttery new potatoes, cheese etc etc in different combinations, .
I know which version I prefer

I am ignoring the 2nd part of your post my dear......!
But self control can take MANY forms andI must confess to not having it in al areas
YESTERDAY !
When taking 'retail therapy',
I really could not stop,
Shopping with my sister,
Untill we both did drop !
Buying lots of things,
We really did not need,
Where she went I'd follow....
She'd follow where I'd lead !
Spending all our money,
Untill not much was left,
My purse is almost empty,
The bank Manager bereft!
A sweater and some trousers,
And then ANOTHER pair,
Some slippers and some undies,
A hat I'll never wear.....(well I might !)
Now tell me was it worth it?
Will anybody guess,
The answer to my question is ......
YES.....YES.....YES !!!!

All sweetness and light,

So put your feet up,
Have a nice CUp of tea.......( or anything else that takes your fancy:shocked:
Close your eyes ,
And think of me.
Yes that will drive,
All thought from your brain,
Just saving Boris,

It will take your mind ,
From the day to day care,
Of work and diet ,
You have had you r share.
So rest a while,
No more you will frett,
Put it all behind you,
For the future your're set.
have a good one tomorrow Busy bee.

Hiya Boris
Well to be honest I felt a twinge of guilt to my loved ones who during my latest diet have been subjected to having no biscuits in the house and definitely no cake. If I cant have it neither can anyone else.
Anyway I had some over-ripe bananas and after a whole day of "why dont you use those bananas up or throw them out" my hatred of throwing out food led me to give in. Its all gone now. Poor dears they were on it like vultures.

Sorry Kaz I just couldn't resist it ! I was just checking that there was a suitable selection of words between 'wee' and 'Sea' !

Glad to see I amused you BigSister. Sadly I really am accident prone. Put a piece of crystal glass in my hands and it will just 'slip through' and falling to the floor.
Just off to a wedding. Have to drive OHs car there which is twice as big as mine and an automatic to boot. Will have to put up with his clever comments when I try to change gear on an automatic = as I say I was exercising my foot LOL.
At least its got a navigation system so shouldnt get lost.:hugesmile:

Hello every one ! been babysitting in Birmingham but am back home again now !
Will have to put up with his clever comments when I try to change gear on an automatic
regarding the above Busy Bee, I always drive when out with Mr. Boris....on the way home anyway as he likes to have the 'odd' drink and I don't usually. BUT I refused after a similar happening, for quite a while too .
As I was driving a supposedly 'drunken and sleepy' OH home after a wedding on the M1 I heard a voice announce to no one in particular......
" There a 3 empty lanes of empty carriageway but YOU have to have 2 wheels on the hard shoulder !"
Sooooo ! If it was empty who cares anyway.
:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
COme on now troops gather round , who can beat that for comments by spouses and others ?

Well sticks you could go the whole'multi cultural' hog and do 'Diwali' first. November time I think.
It all boils down to 'Peace on Earth' and 'Darkness overcome by Light'.....or some such.
Tolerance one man ( or woman) to another is what I say !

Hi all. Just returned after our week-end away.
Wedding lovely, bride looked gorgeous, groom so nervous especially when she was half an hour late. Tissues came in very useful.
Stayed ovenight at the hotel - four poster bed quite luxurious.
OH behaved himself - no clever comments about my driving. Though I did get asked why we were coming back the pretty route when the motorway is so much quicker. I hate motorways so soul-less.
Anyway reporting for Boris duty. Glad to see you have been up to scratch while I've been away.
BTW do you think I should send a couple of wedding photos to a certain young couple just to give them a nudge in the right direction. Nothing like a little :love:

If I was Mr. Sticks i wold point out that you would come out from those piles of leaves having trodden in piles of 'doggy poo'.
But I won't !!!
Yes Mr. Sticks , I know it is Autumn, but it gave you something to do putting up that lovely picture of Autumn leaves.
Busy BeeI think every season has something special to offer !
