The explosion was naff. And ofc Jane the woman who knows all of Max's secrets will die so this storyline will continue until 2019.

When that guy threw the bottle at Fi, I expected some kind of Final Destination style knock on effect to lead to an explosion at the gas works. :joker:

Also, I'm really onboard with the theory now that Fi Browning is actually...
Sophie Wilmott-Brown. It makes sense with SOC saying Kathy would get a major storyline later in the year. And it would also explain why Max has teamed up with the Chairman to take down the Beale's as if he is James Wilmott-Brown he'd have a vendetta against Kathy too.
I mean it doesn't make the plotline up until this point any better than the crap it has been. But it would certainly make it more interesting going forward.

Why is he having a heart attack at his age and level of fitness?
So, is it worth watching? Goodbye if the whole point of the bins nonsense (which I cannot actually believe is STILL visually at least a thing) is so that the bags saved Phil's life
Not SOC dragging out a two-year long bin plot just so that on this very occasion they would save Phil from dying.
But it would be the only time that SOC's actually thought things through. :clap1:

I'm sorry. Max's story could be so epic. The idea behind it is excellent. Incorporating almost the entire cast, the set move, brilliant dramatic potential for Max outside of standard affairs but it's actually TERRIBLE.
There's so many routes it could go down, so much potential for a couple of brilliant new villain characters the show is in need of. But it's basically Max shagging Carmel to find out information that would be in the public domain anyway. Carmel doesn't work for bloody MI5.
And now Fi 's has amounted to making a pass at Mick to add fuel to the fire of him beinf untrustworthy to Linda. It's actually pathetic. And after 9 months of having no contact on the square for obvious reasons he's now dropping her off around the corner from the Vic and having intimate conversations in front of everyone at the event.
Then the whole plan is foiled from Jane overhearing "you hate this place anyway". So I don't see how Jane could possibly start joining the dots to what's actually going on. Yeah he clearly wants revenge but she's far from seeing the bigger picture with the Vic takeover and everything else.
So much potential wasted by sh*tty writing.
Ross.

Well I don't know if it's that realistic to be diagnosed with cancer and then be cured that quick but okay.
Also Steven's character had so much potential when he returned but to re-run this storyline of him trying to kill Jayne really ****s me off. So one person you KNOW is manipulating you tells you that your step-mum wants you dead and that you should kill her off first and you ask no questions and just go ahead and do what said manipulating person tells you.
I really thought this couldn't get any worse, but turns out it can. I think Sean O'Connor was secretly hired by ITV to run EE into the ground :worry:

Really? Did Linda need a cancer plot on top of the marriage problems, the Vic plot, her mum having a stroke.
Seems like a twist for the sake of s twist.
Don't get me wrong I think Linda deserves some limelight as her own character as even her own rape story was made all about Mick and Shirley but they really didn't need to do this.

Me and Daniel-X were saying earlier that Hollyoaks would have actually done this way better than EastEnders have. Should Jane die her death will be as much of a shambles as Ronnie and Roxy's was I can tell you that now. Hollyoaks would have made sure characters like Ronnie, Roxy and Jane got huge tragic and fitting endings with catastrophic events.

I've changed my mind and am now convinced the death is going to be Steven.
Thinking about it, if he dies Jane won't be comfortable or want to hurt Ian more by revealing all about his fake illness and everything. So Max's plans can continue without Jane ruining it as she doesn't know all of the hard facts about Weyland anyway.
Then, when the truth does finally come out (probably around Christmas time) Ian will turn on Jane for yet again hiding dark secrets surrounding the death of one of his children.
In my head, all of that makes sense or it's just me desperately wanting Jane to live. :(

Either way, killing any of the Beale's is both too much for that group of characters AND a waste of good characters.
Steven's death would also rob us of a smug Abi gloating over her devil pregnancy at Lauren and Steven's wedding and all of the fallout from that.
