The backstory of the relationship hasn't really been explained. The reveal was excellent, but we don't really know what happened between the time her and Preston's relationship became public knowledge to when she returned to the square, and whether legal action occurred. We haven't even been given a rough time-frame of when this was all supposed to have taken place.

2. Was great to see Stacey being mouthy once more . Have missed that .

3. Ian cheering at not having diabeties was very naughty I think . Not nice to people who have it .

4. Shame shirley is in prison but hopefully that brings an end to all the stupid money woes .

5. Re the naked photos . I find it all very disconcerting as a parent . Especially when they say everyone sends them . You hear about the cloud being hacked and it's all very scary. Scares the life out of me the thought of my daughter sending those kind of photos . I think it's very good eastenders doing this storyline because it might open a lot of people's eyes . I used to love Carmel when she first came in but they've made her character so hard to sympathise and like. She's just a martyr and bad person I think. I was talking to my friend on the bus about this over day,

Apaz The Fowlers house would be worth £2000 PCM.

And Martin with his veg stall is the only income the house has.

So his wage pays for £2K rent, bills, and for 3 children.

I do get what you mean and I do agree. Her character would've been better as an Elaine type I think (just popping up every now and again) or just a nice matriarchal character. They've compeletely ruined her though. I think you're right too, it's by having her having to put her two ****ing p's in everyone's business, just cos they're desperate for some characterison.

Jack coming back as a property developer so even more of the Square is becoming tiny flats (still expensive but more realistic for people like Whitney/Lee than a full on house), student accommodation and also I've noticed they've stuck non speaking extras in a lot of the empty houses and stuff.

Then there's Max and the Chairman/Fi Browning who I think are going to bring in more middle class/business type people who are more likely to live in places like a London square.

I hope it doesn't change too much though, as unrealistic as it is. :worry:

Well, the Carter's own the Vic, Jack owns R&R's old house and the Branning's old house which is now flats. Ian/Kathy/Jane/Lauren/Steven live in the owned Beale house. Denise or Kim or Patrick (I can't remember who signed to who) own half the old B&B, the other house it was joined onto was sold and is now lived in by an off screen character.

Carmel rents Masood's old house, Stacey and Martin rent Pat's old house.

Billy and Honey rent a flat, Ben and Jay rent a flat.

Oh and Dot's house is rented off the council, but she's been there FOREVER so it's not unrealistic that she's remained there. But then she survived the bedroom tax.
