Anyone would think the "crash week" was a poor attempt at injecting life in the show and failed and nothing in that week has amounted to anything?

The show is pretty out of sync because of it being pushed forward by the BBC tbf, things like Whitney/Mick atm are clearly building up to the kiss that has already happened

Lee's part was just slotted in because he wasn't in any of the crash scenes and the bus crash had nothing to do with his exit/the breakdown of his and Whitney's relationship

Let's face it the entire week had nothing to do with anything.
They wrote it entirely stand alone with the market closure crap slotted in and everyone getting on the same bus.

They just had to slot in a couple of references, Mick and Whitney (as Ross said, they seem to be building to that sort of a moment now, rather than before), Max's one scene with the Chairman, Martin and Stacey deciding to try for a baby and then forgetting, and Denise referencing the baby's adoption.

And I can't believe instead of seeing Glenda's guilt over abandoning her daughters (it was shown briefly), coping with the fact one of her daughters was so far down the wrong path she was using cocaine by the time of the death, coming to terms with the fact her other daughter had lived a life full of tragedy and had died in another tragedy just as she got her happy ending and dealing with the fact her young (ish) daughters had died and left behind so many loved ones whilst she remains with nobody and is allowed to live - we see her lusting after one of their widowers and piercing Amy's ears without permission.

And of course we got her knowing what Max is up to, even though it's not clear to us what he's up to or even if he knows what he's bloody up to yet.

And it was never even confirmed whether Jack was right in thinking she wanted to shag him or if she was telling the truth and it was just platonic.

That was a mess. I remember Ronnie was only supposed to return for six months, then she agreed to come back full time, then Jack quit, then Ronnie had to leave for a bit to do Mount Pleasant. :joker:

Then I was excited when DTC took over, the show started to change for the better and one of his promises was big things for Ronnie and us seeing her "transformation into a villain". Then he chickened out and she took part in a rom-com with Charlie, then they axed Charlie so she committed murder again, but then Jack came back so they wanted to normalise her again, then she disappeared for a bit, then came back to give Peggy 5 seconds of her time, then spent 5 months suddenly being too scared to upset Jack and turning on Roxy, then got married and drowned in a pool.

A MESS.
