Avengers Assemble - 9/10
Epic, with an amazing cast and the best special effects I've probably ever seen, but it loses 1 for not having enough of Thor and Hulk.

The Brave One: 8.5/10
A great psychological vigilante thriller with brilliant performances from Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard. Some might find it a slow burner, but I was gripped throughout. Plus it gets an extra 0.5 since Naveen Andrews is in it. :worship:

Fertile Ground (2011) Been on my watch list for a while,

Couple move to home after the wife losses her baby, then move they move to a new house, Then wife see strange thing start to happen around the house and husband dose not believe.

This movie felt like every other haunted house movie I have seen, I felt that didn't really got ground , this movie didn't not feel scary for one second, the whole movie was bit bland.

It could be really boring no real plot in the movie, it could the be really bad script (Half of it didn't even make sense or it could have been the really bad acting from everyone in this movie, i would say all of the above.

I wouldn't say the worst haunted house movie but it as got to be one of the most boring ones i ever seen. 4 out of 10.

Secrets in the Walls (2010) (TV)
Single mother (Who as just been divorced) looking after 2 of Daughters Lizzy teens and the Molly who's little younger has got sixth sense about thing.

As this was TV movie, i did not expect much of it, I did enjoy this movie, the movie I saw Early which was Fertile Ground (2011) .

This movie Start when single mum goes on her new Job and on the way back she looked at a house, there family decided to movie in and it dose not take for Molly to feel something really bad in the house.

There were some decent spooky scene in this movie, it had some really good tense moment in the basement scene, which I found creepy at time for TV movie.

The acting was really good from most of the cast, this movie seem have the same feel as stir of echoes. this could have easily have been pasted at 3 but they also added little bit The Haunting in Connecticut (With teen girl moving in basement room)

Even it borrow some stuff from other movie, it decent chiller for TV movie.

6 out of 10

Top of the Food Chain (1999)
I found out about this movie few days ago, never even heard of it before, checked out the trailer and this looks like my kinda of movie.

Now that I seen the movie, I felt little bit let down, i didn't think it as funny as It meant to be.

They were some really funny jokes thought out the movie but nothing too funny too, jokes soon fade wade.

There were some really strange effect in this movie, trailer some how makes the effect look better then they were in the movie movie,

There some jokes That do not work at all and make the acting from most of the cast a wooden at times.

I think it was decent 50;s B movie for 90's!

Possessed (2000) (TV)
I really enjoyed most of the movie,

This movie dose not take long to getting going and there are some good scenes in this movie but I would not say they are scary scene but really good for a TV movie.

the first 45 minutes of the movie were very entertaining and the one scene that surprised me as one really bloody scene, which I did not expect to see any bloody moment in this movie at all.

After the 45 mins mark. it kinda calm down. now and again for the next hour, there were some dull moment but they don't last for long but this movie could have been a little bit shorter, as it was little to long.

I really did enjoy how the movie came to a end, i thought it was really clever!, connecting the movie to flashback early in the movie.

The acting for this movie was really good from everyone in the movie. I going to give this movie 7 out of 10

Right now watching I know my first name is Steve Payner. True story of a boy that was abducted by a paedophile at 7 and escaped at 14! :cloud:

This is the vile **** :cloud:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_Parnell

:cloud:

In January 2003, Parnell was arrested again after trying to coerce his caregiver into buying him a four-year-old boy.[4] Parnell was, by this time, 71 years old and in ill health, suffering from diabetes and emphysema, plus other ailments brought on by a stroke which he had suffered earlier, requiring near 24-hour-a-day nursing care in his cluttered apartment in the 2600 block of Mathews Street in Berkeley.

The caregiver, Diane Stevens, was aware of Parnell's past and cooperated with police in setting up a sting operation that would lead to his arrest. According to Diane Stevens' testimony, Parnell requested that the child have a "clean" rectum, indicating sexual intentions.[5] He paid $100 for a birth certificate and had $400 on his person for the completion of the transaction when he was to receive the child on January 3, 2003. Parnell was arrested that day.[5]

Why the **** am I watching this ****. Making me sick and so damn angry at the same time and it's only 10 mins in

Tomorrow Never Dies - 7/10
A good film in its own right but it had too much to live up to after the incredible Goldeneye (my favourite Bond film along with FRWL). It has some great action sequences, especially the remote control car chase in the multi storey, but Jonathan Pryce is laughably bad in some scenes. Not a patch on the great Sean Bean's Alec Trevelyan.

One of The Stath's better films, along with The Transporter and Crank. The plot is slightly more interesting than his usual films, but his American accent leaves something to be desired. Overall, very much worth a watch.

It was alright, nothing special i suppose.. it was about these two men called David and Leon and basically they were useless at everything so then some guy called Andy had to come along from a far away town and help them make something of their lives and they eventually did that with Leon becoming a gardener and David becoming a binman ( sorry for the spoilers by the way ) Andy went onto become a multi billionaire as well which i thought was a nice ending to the film

The Directors Cut ending was a particular highlight of this movie I think, when Andy's eyes opened and he climbed out of bed, walked down the stairs and noticed his long term partner LegendKiller cooking up some bacon and eggs in the kitchen, as the couple ate their breakfast and mulled over their mornings they began to get ready for work, and it was not too long until the bintruck pulled up outside and Andy walked out and began to get on with his job and clean up everyones rubbish. It also turned out that LegendKiller was the gardner, and then on Andy's way home from work he walked past the big multi-million pound mansion in the City that belonged to his idol, Lord David the III, and then Andy remembered that dream he had had the night before.

How good is Killing Them Softly?

I read on the imdb boards that a lot were going to it expecting it to be an action movie and were really disappointed. So I think if you see it expecting it to be kinda slow with a good amount of dialogue, then it's enjoyable. There are some memorable scenes. I'd give it a 7 or 8, but I don't think I'd be in a hurry to watch it again.

Kung Fu Hustle - Really liked this. The humour was fantastic and the action was pretty awesome. 8/10

Never Back Down - So full of clichés that I couldn't take it seriously. 2/10

Battle Royale - A great thriller. They focused on too many characters rather than just a select few so there wasn't that much of a decent invested backstory in most of them but otherwise awesome overall. 7/10

It’s a minimalist type of film, I don’t think I’d seen anything like it before. It seemed very real at times although it was set in the wild west, and I found it gripping despite nothing much happening.

I downloaded a couple of movies by the same director, I think her style is pretty unique, hopefully I’ll get to watch them during the next week or two.

Never Let Me Go

Only watched it because Carey Mullingan was in it and i have liked every single movie she has been in so far.. pretty weird but interesting storyline, it went from being a really calm film in the first opening 30 minutes and then you find out something and the whole movie changes becomes a bit depressing for the last hour or so

Sounds like Million Dollar Baby. :joker:

Also watched Ice Age 4 as well. Fun. the usual. For the kiddies.

Skyfall. I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace. I just felt like it was lacking something. I mean it was as brutal as Quantum, nor as constantly thrilling (imo) as Casino Royale. It was just a bit.. bland. 6/10. :suspect:

It's dated with everything that comes with it, including the kid from Indian Jones: the Temple of Doom, and the 80s style of adventure. If you didn't see it then, it's not going to be the same, like ya said. Nostalgia for sure. :bawling:

I went to see Paranormal Activity 4 last weekend with some mates. I decided that I'd go and see a horror obviously because I wanted to be shocked and scared, or at least be made jump a couple of times. But no. Quite honestly, it wasn't scary or even jumpy at any stage of the film. I thought it was really predictable which took away the jumpy element of horror movies, because if you know what's coming, then it's really not that scary.

The story itself really felt unfinished when it ended. I didn't feel as though we really go to know the characters or anything like that to be honest.

When the end had came, I genuinely thought it was the middle of the film because it was finally getting exciting, not so much scary, but much more exciting, and could see myself being scared from the ending moment onwards. But then it just randomly ended. Very unfinished which obviously makes me think that they'll do a 5th movie which will answer all the questions I have about the 4th one... but let's just say I won't be going lol!

I'd give it a 6/10. The only reason is because there was a fit girl in the movie, and there were some moments which were entertaining!

Like Crazy - 4/10. Alright story but it was rushed and the ending was a bit crap.

My Week With Marilyn - 8/10. Really good, liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Michelle Williams is great in it.

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mctejuocdS1qlrkvxo1_400.jpg

The Perfect Score - 3/10. Only really watched it because Scarlett Johansson was in it. Could have been a lot better if it wasn't for the stupid ending, but it was still pretty funny at parts. Scarlett was definitely the best thing about it.

Will - 4/10. As a Liverpool fan I enjoyed it but I doubt anyone that doesn't care about Liverpool would like it. Gerrard and Carragher trying to act at the end was hilarious, Kenny was pretty good though.

The Art of Getting By - It was fine albeit fairly typical and cliched. You can tell they took a lot of cues from The Perks of Being a Wallflower (the book at least, I haven't seen the film). I enjoyed it though. 7/10

Thor - A lot of fun, I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would. 8/10.

Prom - 4/10 - Pretty much the first American Pie movie without the sex, alcohol, and Stifler. Thankfully all those things are made up for by Aimee Teegarden being in it.

Tower Heist - 5/10 - Better than I thought it would be, Ben Stiller was great as always and Eddie Murphy was pretty funny aswell, which hasn't happened much in the last 10 years.

15 Minutes - 6.5/10 - Not quite sure why this has such a low critical rating, the two villains were really good and believable in it, and De Niro and the other main cop were good aswell. Also got a great twist that I doubt anyone would see coming.

Crazy, Stupid, Love - 6/10 - Amazing cast and a decent storyline, the scene in the backyard at the end is one of the funniest I've seen in ages.

The River Wild - 5/10 - Pretty much just your average action film.

The Merchant of Venice - 5/10 - Al Pacino was great in it and the storyline seemed to be good until the stupid part with the 2 girls in the court.. Probably didn't help that I hardly understand what they are talking about in Shakespeare movies.
