It's good to know that the newly svelte Lee has taken a moment out of her burgeoning jetset life to honour us with a visit.

You know, some people who make it big forget their old friends, but not our Lee.

Can't wait for her upcoming book.........

Too right Busy Bee. Working on a Friday afternoon should be banned universaly.

I had a hard afternoon too. 2nd half of my morning in school did not go as planned.A selection of my 4 and 5 year olds are getting too big for their boots. They conspired to ruin my lesson. The afternoon was spent in talking to the offenders - in sorrow not anger - about their behaviour and then repeating all the activities with the children, in 2's instead of 6's. Time consuming in the extreme. It worked .:xyxwave:

I was thinking of a nice bit of brunch but I don't think I'll bother after the posts of my chums, ROB and Boris.

Anyway, I think eating worms is ecologically unsound. They are useful creatures, aerating the soil and providing bait for fisherman's hooks. I think you should eat flies instead. What use are flies?

Morning shift seems decidedly 'absent' !

I suppose it IS Sunday morning and MOST normal people are still in bed....or at church .....or wherever.

'Here' is a day of disappointment ! All the fault of the weather forcast !

A day of sun was promised here,
But all we got was rain :bawling:
The 'splish and splash'
And wet, wet, wet,
Has soaked my aching brain.

But never fear,
I'll not give in,
I will not shed a tear,
I'll soldier on,
And do my best,
My thinking cap put on.

It's time to reasess now,
My attitude to life,
Come rain come shine,
All will be fine,
No need for pain and strife.

And I mean that MOST sincerely folks !!!!

Afternoon, troops - remember me? :wavey:

Apologies for my absence from duty the last couple of days. Firstly due to technical failure at Mission Control - waited all day for delivery of new PC . . . . and still waiting!!! Been promised for Monday morning, though.

Secondly, arrival of VIP visitors for the weekend meant I've been otherwise occupied keeping them fed, watered and entertained - severely curtailing my access to this site.

But now I can once again give my full and undivided attention to Boris and this vital mission. Good work in my absence, everyone - you've all done very well. :hello:

I was away for a while
But now I'm back

Kaz glad to see you back on this thread
As you say the thread is still not dead
So you had visitors, how hard for you
To entertain when your protection is due

I've just closed the windows because of the smell
The farmer is spraying and it smells like hell
And the hayfever season is truly here
I'm sneezing and crying together I fear

But the protection of Boris is our no. 1 task
Though sometimes in the sun we'll bask
Could this task get in that Guinness Book
Perhaps we should suggest they take a look.

The pile of ironing is staring at me
Perhaps I'll do it later, just wait and see
What is more important I ask of thee
Protection of Boris you yell at me.

Evening, BigSister. :wavey:

Boriswatch resumes, then I take it?

But where, oh where are my trusty Sergeants Amy and Rachb? :bawling: Granted Amy submitted her notice a while back, but she had nevertheless carried out her duties faultlessly until now . . . . . . and Rachb could always be relied on to help out in a crisis . . . . . .

Where are you, my faithful Sergeants? :bawling::bawling::bawling:

Thank you, ROB and BusyBee - I know I can rely completely on your support for this mission, and I'm sure that Boris is eternally grateful to you as well.

And Sticks - DOH!!! You never know - if you hadn't made that post, this thread might well have died!!!! Oh well, never mind, better luck next time.

Carry on, troops! :xyxwave:

Be filled with woe,
If I did really do it !

Hey Kaz this big brother 4 sounds good! whats it like

Big Brother 4 what can it be
I've heard its good, I'll wait and see
12 people locked inside a house
With chicken, fish but no sign of a mouse

Each week someone gets voted out
Until one is left, the winner no doubt
Theres Jon and Cam and Sissy and Nush
Tanya, Raymondo, Fed and Gos
Not to mention Steph and Scott
Its worth a look I'm told Scott is hot

So have a look but dont forget
This post is guarded both sunny or wet
We'll not let our Boris down
Whether we live in country or town

WE WILL BE ON GUARD

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

New computer sounds great Kaz. I've got a flat screen at work, looks great and gives me more room to cover my desk with highly important items like my lion that roars when you through it, my voodoo orange for when I get annoyed with people complete with pins to stick in and my Chelsea lion key ring. Oh and I do manage to keep a small space for that thing called "work" whatever that is

bbceleb - I'm really not too sure about this BB4's all about myself, although it's on tonight at 10 o'clock on Channel 4, so I might tune in and see what everyone's talking about!

Fantastic poem, BusyBee - I think that's a perfect 'potted history' of BB4 so far.

My flat screen monitor is also at work (alias Mission Control!) and it's absoutely fantastic. Next step is to persuade OH to get one at home . . . . . . . . . I'm working on it!

We could not manage without YOUR input .....SO......

Now then....

Writing reports,
It's all that I do,
Morning ,noon,
And nightime too.
They haunt my dreams,
They sit in my head,
I'll be writing reports,
Untill I am dead.

But they must be finished ,
Before next week,
So 'bye for now,
A new pen I'll seek,
And write and write,
And write some more,
'Till men in 'white coats'
Knock hard on my door,
And carry me off,
Pen still in hand,
And take me away,
To a promised land.......

Think I have an idea ......but lets leave that for another day !!

Oh yes someone was paranoid that by posting on a thread they would kill it off.

Who says I'm paranoid ?

It's a lie.

I have heard it said before though.

I hope SOMEONE will come and save me again though:shocked::shocked::shocked:

Night shift were busy last night.
Hope they can keep awake today to guard the thread.I blame the Navy.

can anyone remind us of the cosmological point of all this frivilous use of bandwidth ?
BTW sticks , is this another way of telling me I am a 'waste' of space' ? :bawling::bawling::bawling:

And yes Stu ....I am excited, I am nearing 100 pages too. Shall we throw a party when we get there ?
We had one once before . They tell me it was a great success, but they forgot to invite me. Thought I would put the 'kiss of death' on it no doubt !:xyxwave:

We're all going to be on diferent number pages cos it depends on the size and resolution of your monitor.

That's OK though cos it means we can have several 100 page parties lol

:dance::dance::dance:

Kaz
13-06-2003, 11:39 AM
There are a couple of reasons why we're all on different pages, I think.

1. The size of monitor you have - I think that the forum 'autosizes' to fit whatever screen size you have, so obviously you'll get more information displayed on a 19" monitor than a 15" one.

2. There is an option in your Control Panel 'Edit Options' to state the number of topics and posts per page. Mine is set to display 30 topics per page and 25 posts per page.

Any clearer? :conf:

Of course not Rach! :elephant:

We've decided that we're going to have 3 separate '100 Pages Parties'. Some of us have reached the magic page now, some of us are on page 80 so have 20 to go . . . . and the third will be when you finally reach 100 pages!

So let's all enjoy the first party - anyone's glass empty?
