In a bombshell interview, SHANE RICHIE has revealed he has turned down the chance to rejoin the BBC1 soap in order to “take a break from showbiz”.

The Sun revealed last year that JESSIE WALLACE will be reprising her role as Kat Moon, prompting claims her on-screen husband Alfie, played by Shane, would return too.

But it will just be left for Kat to wreak havoc on *Walford, which will frighten the life out of the soap’s male characters.

Tbh not one of them has "clicked" for me. I think it's because I don't think any have worked with Steve McFadden so the character hasn't worked. I've not enjoyed a single one of his stories.

Yeah I get what you're saying. The first one seemed as though they were trying too hard to make him least like a "Mitchell" as possible. The second one was hard to take seriously, and the third just didn't work well like you said.

I think they've tried to cover up Steve McFadden's break so he's not off screen for like 2 months by blocking the story cleverly with the Mel/Ben/Ciara stuff in between and then shifting the focus back to Abi/Max. So all the scenes Phil filmed were spaced out. But it hasn't worked smoothly.
