It's nothing new and it means nothing, really. It's been happening for years now. If you want to look at merchandise, live attendance, and overall money making, the WWE are doing the best they have done since 2002 right now.

It's a changed landscape with television ratings. Everybody simply doesn't watch telly anymore. The rating is no indication as to how the WrestleMania buyrate will be. In all likelyhood it will be the highest drawing 'Mania since X8.

How do you figure that? Everything on paper poins to a great buyrate. And no, no celebrities involved - which is a good thing IMO. More rasslin', less 15 minuet Kid Rock performances.

As for more on the Raw rating, RAW's first hour was 3.04 and was up against the second hour of the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars which had 25 million viewers and a 15.6 rating!

The second hour of RAW was back to 3.44 which is about average for RAW.

I agree RAW sucks, boring and stale, HBK/Taker is all i care about on RAW atm, and i hate what they are doing with Gail Kim. TNA's real fun at the moment, I've watched the 22nd march impact twice already now.

Smackdowns decent enough though. I like the Jericho/Edge build up. I'm actually leaning towards Jericho retaining now. Straight Edge Society is a great Stable. John Morrison i'm in too.

MITB sounded fun up untill they clusted it by making it 10 people. Evan deffo won't win now :( then again, not like he was going to in the first place. :(

Smackdown is just a tiny bit more interesting than Raw:(, where as both used to be at the top of their game.. shame it's all gone stale:bawling:.

1. Just a legends contract to use his likeness in video games, figures, etc.
2. He is doing what Kevin Nash did, and just opening the door to WWE so TNA offer him even more money.

I know, i didnt think it would grow, my friend told me it would, so i set it up about 6-7 weeks ago its pretty decent looking not the best obviously but it will do. he's giving me lights and stuff in the summer gonna set up a small 4x6 ft area and grow a few plants....

TNA WRESTLING are on course to treble their ratings in Britain thanks to the arrival of Hulk Hogan — declaring the UK as the key battleground in their war with WWE.

The number of people watching flagship show Impact, broadcast every Saturday night at 9pm on Bravo and 10pm on Bravo+1, has jumped hugely since January.

That period has coincided with the addition of Hogan to the roster, along with other big-name newcomers Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Eric Bischoff.

Dixie Carter's company today announced the average viewership of Impact in the first 11 weeks of 2010 was 133,000.

Two recent shows reached record highs of 152,000 and 153,000 — almost three times the average number of viewers in 2009 of 56,000.

The comparison, however, is not entirely fair as the WWE shows are broadcast on the Sky Sports subscription channels in the UK and are repeated through the week where they add viewers.

But the news comes as a welcome lift for TNA, after Impact ratings suffered a big knock in the US by going head-to-head against a WWE Raw featuring Shawn Michaels' retirement.

Former WWE Champion Batista has been telling people within WWE that he's looking to take an extended break from WWE following WrestleMania.

Those within the company expect Batista to take his leave of absence following the Extreme Rules PPV later this month.

Batista is scheduled to begin filming for the upcoming WWE Studio's film "Killing Karma" this spring and the general consensus within the locker room is that Batista will not wrestler while he is filming.

Also as noted earlier here on the website, The Great Khali will be finishing up with WWE, for now, on Friday's Smackdown. Khali told people at the tapings Tuesday that he would be taking some time off, and returning to India. As of right now, there is no timetable for him to return to the company.

It looks like TNA stars Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore are trying to get WWE superstar Matt Hardy to "cross the line" and jump ship from WWE to TNA after the two wrote "cryptic" messages on Twitter last night.

Shannon More wrote: "@MATTHARDBRAND time to jump ship brudda. Ship has set sail. Tell Ace you quit and be a Heavens Demon!!!"

Jeff Hardy then wrote the following: "Maybe my brother can join tha demons next time if he gets his s--t together."

Presumably the "Ace" that Shannon was referring to is WWE's John "Johnny Ace" Laurinaitis.

Smackdown starts with Chris Jericho coming down to the ring... mixed reaction when he cuts a great promo about keeping the World Title at WrestleMania 26. Jericho is awesome on the microphone, getting great heat from the crowd. He is Smackdown's best heel by far.

Edge comes out to a huge pop. Edge says that he thinks he should get a rematch right now. Jericho is not taking the bait. Edge starts beating up Jericho and ripping off his clothes to reveal bandaged ribs. Edge then spears Jericho.

Jack Swagger then comes out to cash in MITB. Swagger hit Edge with the briefcase. The bell rings and Swagger WINS THE BELT with a gut-wrench powerbomb. He walks out of the ring with the world title. The crowd is stunned.

Commercial time and Jericho is being helped from the ring. He's in shock. He starts throwing a tantrum up the ramp. The crowd is buzzing.

John Morrison and R Truth vs. Cryme Tyme is next. Very short. Morrison wins with Starship Pain in about 1 minute. Cryme Tyme then turn on each other with Shad looking like he's turning heel and beats up JTG pretty good. JTG gets helped to the back. Looks like Shad is getting a push.

Swagger is backstage with the World Title bragging to anyone who'll listen. He has a short conversation with Shelton Benjamin. Swagger is showing some personality.

C.M. Punk wants a rematch with Mysterio. He is going to put his hair on the line against Mysterio, who must join the Straight Edge Society if he loses. Mysterio did not appear to accept. This is likely an Extreme Rules PPV match, but it's unclear at this point.

Beth Phoenix and Tiffany beat Layla and Michelle McCool.

-Kane vs. all eight NXT Rookies in an elimination tag match ended in a DQ when all the NXT members jumped Kane at once.

Vince McMahon's evil "Mr. McMahon" character is said to be finished, according to a backstage source.

The character was spawned back in 1997 following the infamous Montreal Screwjob. McMahon's on-air character turned heel for the first time and it became the antagonist to the company's top star "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in arguably the best run in the history of the company.

With Bret Hart's return to WWE after 13 years, McMahon felt WrestleMania would be the perfect chance for Bret Hart to get his ultimate revenge and wipe out Mr. McMahon once and for all. The over-the-top beatdown he sustained at the hands (and feet) of the Hart family signified the end of the character.

Maria Kanellis, a former WWE Diva released on February 26, criticized WWE's handling of the Divas and Women's divisions on Raw and Smackdown during an interview on the "One Sided Ring" podcast with Rob McNichol. Maria added that she believes she was held back in WWE and the Divas aren't given enough TV time.

"I wasn't allowed to do as much as I wanted to do. I had all these great, creative ideas and was constantly entering them into the WWE creative, but I couldn't use a lot of them," Maria said. "The Divas weren't given enough time, which I think is a horrible, horrible disadvantage that the girls have. I felt like I was held back - all the time."

Maria said she looks back at previous eras for women's wrestling in WWE and sees Divas like Trish Stratus, Lita, and Gail Kim in ten-minute TV matches.

"I wonder what would really happen if the Divas were given that much time," she said. "I don't know if it's that they think the Divas can't sell tickets, but I truly believe in the Divas division and always will. I think they are missing out on a lot of talent right there."

Maria also talked about her venture into being a backstage interviewer for MMA fight cards on HDNet. She joked she was given more TV time on her first appearance two weeks ago than her entire time in WWE.

"That's one reason I'm not sad they fired me. I got eight minutes of time on an MMA show to just talk to people and that was amazing," she said. "WWE never gave me eight minutes the entire time I was there."

I agree with Maria, Its horrible the Divas division in WWE. The match at WM, the RAW following WM proved that. They even had them wrestling in dresses this week.
I hoped they'd turn Maria heel when she was "Dating" Dolph Ziggler, but that went nowhere as do none of the diva stories these days.
Hate Laycool, they aren't original, Beautiful people did what they do now in 08 way better, Hell even Vince's Devils (torrie, candice, victoria) were better.
"piggy james" was degrading, now they are calling the beautiful beth phoenix a man, A woman who entered this years Royal Rumble and wrestled with CM Punk for a few minutes is now stuck being called a man by Laycool.
