I hope that was a heel turn for Christian this week on Smackdown. I'm into his stuff with Orton that's produced a brilliant match on PPV but the guy has no charisma whatsoever. I hate any face that needs to slap the mat to get the fans to clap as a general rule of thumb.
Remember how awesome he was as a heel in 2003-2005 period?

Weekly Ratings Wins so far (2011)
TNA iMPACT! – 12
WWE RAW – 2
WWE Smackdown – 2
more information here http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4295374&postcount=86
That figure is misleading. You'be been told that before. It's based on first showings only. WWE rates much higher but those ratings are split across multiple showings. Who is going to watch Raw at 2 in the morning when you can catch it a million other times during the week?
TNA is on free TV too. You have to pay for Sky.
Tell me this ... if TNA is bigger in the UK why don't they run bigger venues and sell more tickets?

Getting a link to watch Sky for free isin't the same as watching it on telly and does not contribute to the ratings you moron.
Who cares if they have sold out fan parties? I'm talking about big arena shows. Why don't TNA run any? Why don't they sell as many tickets as the WWE do? Because they are nowhere near as popular neither on a local scale nor on a global scale.
I'll say it again : WWE draw much larger ratings than TNA as a whole. All your challenged posts do is point out that the Tuesday night, free TV, prime time, first date showing of iMPACT draws more than the two in the morning, pay TV, first date showing of Raw.
It means nothing.

Meltzer was texted during the show by a WWE employee stating that the reason Zack was not on the show is because "Vince hates the internet". Backstage, many, many people were upset that the person getting the most chants throughout the night was not brought out for a promo or even a quick appearance in his hometown who clearly wanted him there. Meltzer got some more information today on the thought process.
Evidently, it was indeed a rib/joke being played on Zack. Zack had spent his prior show talking up how he was in his hometown, how excited he was, how this could be his chance to finally shine and move up on the card. Zack was told a few days ago he would have a promo and a match on RAW and would turn face on RAW, even being able to acknowledge his youtube show and Internet Champion gimmick. This is why Zack was so excited the past few days.
The rib went so far as there was even a fake script and timeline alloted for Zack to come out and wrestle, besides Superstars, with his RAW promo and on air face turn. When the time came close for this to happen, Zack was informed plans changed and he would not be on air. This was literally during the broadcast. The entire rib was Vince's idea and was because Vince is not a fan of the "bashing" Zack does about WWE and sees it as "giving in" to someone who is visibly bashing the company with "dropping ball" clips, etc.
Meltzer comments that the real joke is on the fans, as the reaction to him not being on air is not pretty and as the rib is being revealed, even less people are happy. Multiple wrestlers have stated their public displeasure with the rib and John Cena was said to directly confront Vince over the situation and what he felt was a poor joke.

Loving the set and the old school ropes. Makes a change from the usual generic production.
A complete and utter abortion of a PPV. Every match bar Rey/Punk was absoloute pants, a fake Obama was in no less than four segments and was continually passed off as being the real deal to the kids, and then R-Truth jobbed to a cup of water.
Seriously.
A kid throws water on R-Truth, stunning him, and Cena hits the FU.

Jericho is way past the point of having to take the writers dick in his mouth. He would give SmackDown a kick up the arse alright but it's such a dead show. I actually prefer it to Raw in terms of wrestling and less Miz and King but he would be wasted there. I imagine he would be face though. They are sorely lacking in people the fans want to care for these days. Has he been growing his hair recently? I would mark like crazy. A-Ry didn't get a reaction at all on Raw :joker:
I'm not sure anyone did. The crowd was killed about quater of an hour into the thing.
Christian R-Truth and Miz should just form a new stable and take over WWE
I'm lazy and find myself interesting so I'm just going to do a copy and paste job from another forum :
On Capitol Punishment :
I said it last night in the chat and I will repeat it here : This was the single worst PPV I have ever stayed up for to watch live. Not the worst show ever mind you but certainly one of the dullest. Even the 2004 Bash had a bit of blood and a big glass box of concrete.
It was just an obscenely underwhelming stopgap that served as a complete indictment of WWE's negatives these days. Namely lacklustre crowds, a cast of characters that are not going to set the world alight anytime soon, predictable and/or random booking that isin't going to stir much emotion and just this general, content with mundanity style of sports entertainment. They were the number one company in the world before they rolled into Washington and nothing has changed. And why should it. Keep a dull pace, set up shop in the arena, put on an underwhelming budget show and collect the money.
The future doesn't look bright barring a burst bubble of **** hitting the fan[s] that serves as an impetus for them to get their arse in gear and radically alter something about the position they currently inhabit. The opening match was solid, Rey and Punk pulled out a decent, let's-not-go-crazy-though decent match for no apparent reason and everything else ranged from the forgettable to the abysmal. And that includes the commentary. It's like every headset woe of the last year or two was collected and concentrated into this one night.
I was delighted when I had to switch stream and found myself right in SAP zone. Hugo and Carlos were the life of the party.
On Raw Power To The People :
To the best of my knowledge the arm wrestling epic was the first segment in WWE history to produce a 'this is stupid!' chant from the crowd. I had trouble working it out at first because I suspect the commentators were told to keep running their mouths to try and disguise it. It slaughtered the audience in much the same way as Zeke and Wade did a night before.
I agree with the thread consensus of '**** everyone and everything but CM Punk'. I could watch him stalk the stalls picking on people and doing his David Koresh shtick for the full two hours each week. The WWE is safe and stagnant right now and I'm dissapointed and kind of surprised that as of yet a big summer angle hasn't come into play. Especially surprising on the back of what in hindsight was a bloody decent 2010 [that produced no fruits in 2011 with regards to the new talent but that's another story].
Regardless of the outcome Punk's got me hooked for the Money In The Bank show. Not only is the lead in great and not only will we be getting two packed ladder matches but it's in Chicago - WrestleMania 22's building to be exact. The crowd I imagine will be unglued.
Bring it on.

This weeks Impact [well last weeks in America, this weeks on Challenge] is surprisingly excellent. In fact it's the best wrestling TV I've seen all year.
Austin Aries, Jimmy Rave and Kid Kash came back, Jeff and Kurt had a parking lot brawl [the kinds in a circle of cars with jobbers cheering them on], they've already started a competetive points style tournament to see who goes to the Bound For Glory main event, Sting went apeshit and tore up Hogan's office and Steiner went on a rant about how he has nothing to do this week but 'I'm training anyway because I don't play guitar. I don't sugar dounut. I beat people up. That's what I do'.

Impact can be strong at times then they let themselves down at PPV's, then they can ahve great PPV's and **** TV...... I like rooting for them though, nice to see an underdog and all that jazz

CM PUNK has announced he is leaving WWE.
Speculation has been rife for weeks that Punk's contract was expiring and that he was planning on taking a break from wrestling.
However, in recent weeks a series of wins and a high-profile push on TV had cast doubt over these claims.
But after winning an excellent triple-threat match on Raw this week to become the No1 contender for the WWE crown, the Straight Edge superstar grabbed the mic and told the world he will be leaving the company.
Punk revealed he will quit after the Money in the Bank PPV on July 17, where he will face John Cena for the WWE championship in Punk's hometown of Chicago.
The angle has echoes of one booked for Punk's departure from Ring of Honor, as did the following tweets he posted on his Twitter page shortly after Raw had aired.
He said: "I knew I was gone at the beginning of the year. I just woke up one day and I knew. That's the way I work a lot of the time.
"I think it's creepy too, but it's really helpful. I knew I'd be history by July.
"Come say goodbye on July 17th. I promise to go out with a bang. Trust me. XxX"
It is thought that Punk is following the line trodden by the likes of Chris Jericho and Big Show, who both stepped away from WWE for a time to recharge their batteries before returning.
There is already speculation that Punk could beat John Cena for the title on the PPV, only for the Money in the Bank winner to cash in immediately and win the belt from Punk before he goes.
Elsewhere on a largely uninspiring three hour "Power to the People" episode of Raw, the booking seemed to point towards a continuation of feuds between Cena and Truth, Miz and Alex Riley, and Randy Orton with Christian.
On a show where fans were allowed to vote for matches and stipulations, a number of surprising results occurred, such as Mason Ryan rather than Sin Cara being selected to face Evan Bourne, which WWE later explained was due to a glitch in the voting.
But the night belonged to Punk, for the news and for his tremendous match with Del Rio and Mysterio.
In contrary to the build up to Capitol Punishment, as good as R-Truth's push was, this revelation by Punk has raised our interest in Money in the Bank no end.

True, he'll probably do something like being a special referee.
Or maybe they should get HBK back in a non wrestling role of course for when Taker and Triple H return.
They should start putting faith in people again like Del Rio and Barret who've slipped to mid card recently:(.
Triple H might have one more run left in him but I doubt him or 'Taker will ever wrestle for the company full time again. They're done.
As sick as I am of Orton too ... seriously can anyone remember any of his title wins bar the last one and the first one? ... Vince is right about Christian. He can't draw a dime and struggles to get much of a reaction.

This is what i think about CM Punk departure from WWE and WWE policies
WHEN CM Punk stood in the ring on Monday Raw and confirmed his impending departure from WWE, my heart sank.
Over the previous 24 hours he had demonstrated why many industry experts consider him to be best all-rounder in wrestling today.
A cracking match with Rey Mysterio which was the highlight of an ordinary Capitol Punishment pay per view event was followed on Monday by an excellent Triple Threat involving the same two men, plus Alberto Del Rio.
As well as consistently providing the best in-ring entertainment — his match with Randy Orton is still my favourite match from this year's Wrestlemania — Punk is totally at home on the microphone and frequently supplements his matches and feuds with excellent promos.
The fact that he is leaving is a huge body blow to WWE. Not just because they are losing a major talent, but because it reinforces the image that WWE is no longer a hugely desirable place to work.
Within the last eighteen months, Chris Jericho, Batista and MVP have voluntarily walked away from the world's No1 wrestling organisation.
Add to this Shawn Michaels' and Edge's retirements, as well as Triple H and Undertaker taking a more withdrawn role, and Vince McMahon's company have lost a huge amount of star power and talent.
They have added to their ranks Del Rio, Wade Barrett and Daniel Bryan in that time, while the likes of R-Truth, Christian and The Miz have stepped up, but it is hardly a fair trade.
The top tier of talent in WWE hasn't looked so thin in over a decade.
But the most worrying thing in all this is that so much seems to be WWE's doing.
The punishing schedule surely has to take the vast amount of the blame. Talents are asked to work relentlessly throughout the year.
Yes, they are well paid for doing so, but the mental and physical toll the constant touring and bumping has on the body and mind is huge.
At some point you have to feel that WWE will look at their roster and realise they have to do something to protect their future.
If bright lights like Punk — who is only 32 — have to take a breather, then something must be wrong.
WWE talents do not get mandatory time off — indeed it is often frowned upon should someone want to take some time to rest and recover.
But that is now really proving to be detrimental to the company. Mind you, this isn't a new phenomenon.
In 2004 Brock Lesnar turned his back on a lucrative contract and top position in WWE because he could no longer stand the schedule. He has gone on to a sterling career in MMA, becoming UFC champion and a major drawing card.
Lesnar has even said that he would consider a return to wrestling were it not for the schedule. So why have WWE not learned in the seven years since Lesnar, 33, walked away?
CM Punk will be fine. After a bad experience in TNA it is unlikely he will resurface there. But if he did he could command a decent wage.
There is also a chance that someone like Punk — who values the craft higher than the financial rewards it brings — could turn out occasionally for his old 'home team' of Ring of Honor.
In all likelihood he will take several months away from wrestling and rejoin WWE eventually — but that will not hurt his stock. If anything, WWE may well realise exactly what they have been missing.
A saving grace might be that he is being pushed in a prominent role at the moment.
When the rumours of his contract expiry surfaced, many jumped to the conclusion that he would be jobbed out before leaving.
But the opposite has happened, and Punk has won matches and earned a main event slot on his last show.
So enjoy Punk on WWE while you still can. He deserves your attention and the PPV bonus he will receive after July 17.
As far as WWE go, it remains to be seen when they will take a step back and assess their policies which keep leading to big stars walking.
Of that, I have substantially less faith.

Not even but just dropping one of the belts (which will then be shockingly brought back 5 years later)
I dont think Punk is planning anything just a break, which he's entitled to, he's worked so hard the past few years

It's going to be Triple H Vs. The Undertaker. They as much as confirmed it the Raw after WrestleMania.
There is no way Cena would ever, ever go over the Undertaker. What would it do for him? Taker will never job at WrestleMania anyway but in a freak paralell universe if he did have to it would be used to create a new star.

Yes, it's true. My release is the big news I was talking about. But let's get something straight. I asked for my release. I was just tired..Of not being used correctly. Just cuz u can make other ppl look good, doesn't mean they should just have u lose to them. The same thing...Happened to Eddie. After being champ, they still had him working mid card status. Being a Guerrero, we've been taught since diapers to get..The most out of ppl & matches. It's our gift, but also our curse. WWE has always used us to make other ppl look good. It all comes down to Being happy. I was not happy in WWE anymore. I had a smile on my face last night though when I got my release though! :) now it's time for me to start being a Guerrero again, and start kicking ass again, be able to tell stories in the ring like u know we can. :) win or lose I will never go back to the place WWE put me in. I will never go back to being under utilized and watching ppl who suck get bigger "pushes" Than me! Thank u to all of u who stuck by me & kept reminding me, I was better than that! :) stay tuned.. Big things coming!! Now I will Really be able to entertain u! :) like me or hate me, 1 thing I have always tried to do is entertain u and give u fans your $ worth. Even if My hands were tied most of the time. I love u all and can't wait for the future!! So happy. :)
Fair Play to Chavo.

Still think it was scripted. He'll be back next week breaking his 'suspension'.
Of course it was scripted. You would want to be a bit soft in the head to believe otherwise.
The following weeks show was taped straight after Raw went off the air because the talent will be in Australia next week :
Credit: Bill Peterson and Pwinsider.com
Bill Peterson is in Las Vegas at the taping for the July 4th episode of Raw that is being taped tonight.
At the start of the show they had a graphic announcing that Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, and R Truth will be in a Number One Contender Match for the WWE Title at Money In the Bank. They also announced Alex Riley versus Miz.
John Cena comes out for a promo and he mentions that CM Punk has been stripped of his right to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship in Chicago. He mentions that is why they are going to do the Triple Threat Match to determine a new number one contender. He also says that they are going to treat things as if CM Punk never existed in WWE.
Cena says that he is not happy with the decision and he believes that Punk was saying what he believes in, but he does not agree with Punk. He does agree with Punk's right to say what he did. Cena says that he wants answers from Vince McMahon and he wants those answers tonight.
John Cena says that he wants to face CM Punk at Money in the Bank
Match Number One: Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres defeat the Bellas when Kelly pinned one of the Bellas.
R Truth is interviewed in the back by Scott Stanford and Truth says that he already beat John Cena so he shouldn't have to win a Triple Threat Match tonight to face Cena at Money in the Bank. Truth talks about how there is a conspiracy.
Truth bumps into Alberto Del Rio and Del Rio tells Truth that it is his destiny.
Match Number Two: WWE Tag Team Champions Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga defeated Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella when McGillicutty pinned Santino after a neck breaker.
After the match, while everyone was still in the ring, Zack Ryder came out onto the stage and said ‘Woo woo woo you know it' and left.
Miz was interviewed by Scott Stanford in the back and Miz says that he should be in the number one contender's match tonight. Miz says that he isn't in that match because of Alex Riley. Miz says that he brought Riley on Raw and he is going to take him out tonight.
Match Number Three: Jack Swagger over Sergeant Slaughter with the Swagger Bomb. After the match, Swagger puts Slaughter in the ankle lock until Evan Bourne comes to the ring to make the save.
Slaughter leads the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Match Number Four: Alberto Del Rio defeats Rey Mysterio and R Truth with a cross arm breaker on Mysterio to become the new number one contender for the WWE Championship.
Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler are having a Fourth of July party in the ring since he is the United States Champion. Vickie wants everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Dolph but they don't so Vickie sings to Dolph.
Dolph says that he is the best superstar and he is in his prime. Dolph says that as long as he is the United States Champion, it is the only title that matters.
Kofi Kingston comes out to the ring and he says that without Vickie in his corner, Dolph cannot beat him. Dolph tells Kofi that he is at a higher level than Kofi and that Kofi should leave his party. Vickie gets pushed into the birthday cake and then Kofi and Dolph brawl.
Match Number Five: Alex Riley beats Miz with a backslide.
After the match, Miz destroyed Riley, breaking the barricade and then he dropped the ring steps on Riley.
Vince McMahon comes out and he says that CM Punk deserved his suspension and he talks about how Punk wanted too much money for his new contract. Vince says that he is standing by his decision to suspend Punk.
John Cena comes out and he says that Vince loves freedom of speech and he still wants to face CM Punk. Cena says that if Vince doesn't feel like fighting then he should hang it up.
Vince says that he really suspended Punk because he doesn't want Punk to leave with the title. Cena made fun of Vince being afraid to let Punk wrestle. Cena talks about the match and then Vince tells Cena not to piss him off and not to be like Hogan.
Cena tells Vince to give the people what they want. Vince says that he doesn't give a damn what the people want. Cena gives Vince a speech and then gives Vince the WWE Championship and walks out.
Vince tells Cena to wait and he meets him on the ramp. Vince says that CM Punk is reinstated and Cena has his match at Money in the Bank with CM Punk. Vince tells Cena that if Punk walks out of Chicago with the title then John Cena is fired.
This was the end of the taping.
There was no mention about Del Rio's title shot after the closing segment.
And here it is.
