THE wrestling world is buzzing with news that Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy have both left WWE.

As SunSport has been reporting all week, both have been seriously considering quitting the company — Jericho to concentrate on a music and TV career and Hardy due to continued falling outs with management.

And it now looks likely that both have parted company with Vince McMahon's company.

In storyline terms, Chris promised to leave if he didn't win the WWE Title at yesterday's Night Of Champions PPV.

Not only did he fail in his quest, but the Canadian was eliminated from the main event match within 90 seconds.

The star is now out of contract and it is thought that this exit was planned by WWE, who are aware that he will not be renewing.

Mike Johnson, of PWInsider, reported: "We've just confirmed that last night was Chris Jericho's final scheduled appearance for WWE."

Meanwhile a hugely unhappy Hardy has been dropping heavy hints on Twitter that he's leaving WWE to join brother Jeff in TNA.

Asked by one fan whether they should buy tickets to the WWE's European tour or TNA's January show in Berlin in order to see him, Matt replied: "I'd go with Berlin."

Another enquired when his WWE contract would expire to which Hardy said: "If I have my way, hopefully tomorrow."

FACT - that is the best thing WWE has come up with since the return of Y2J ("SAVE_US.222") about 3 years ago. Kane vs. Taker feud just got a whole lot of epic slapped on it! I think every 90's Undertaker fan had/will have palpitations at this, I did.

Since next year’s WWE Hall of Fame and WrestleMania will be the 10-year anniversary of the company putting WCW out of business and will take place from WCW’s former home of Atlanta, early talk within WWE is that they will be going with a WCW theme for the Hall of Fame.

Because of the trouble WWE has had with finalizing the Hall of Fame this year, they are already talking about plans for next year’s Hall. Sting’s name has came up to go with the WCW theme but obviously his status with TNA will play a factor.

Other names that have been discussed include Lex Luger, Ron Simmons, The Road Warriors and the Steiner Brothers.
