^Oh you so know that the 2nd leg of the champions league game against Chelsea has to have its own thread... Epic Liverpool european nights must have its own thread!

If Liverpool don't beat Villa then then prem is over for Liverpool! This is a huge gift and would be shocking to throw this away.. Then again we did throw a huge lead away.

Man utd need to lose another game! 3 in-a-row defeats? Could it happen???

Sunderland have to win this one. Man City playing well.

I knew we shouldn't have played Malbranque, he's a dirty player. Kudos to Fulop for saving the penalty though.

30stone
22-03-2009, 03:37 PM
Problem for Sunderland though is Malbranque is one of their best players.

Fulops a good goalie to i think My reserve in fantasy team.

And wasnt it Mccartney that got sent off though?

Lauren
22-03-2009, 03:38 PM
I dislike Fulop as our goalie, we were a stronger side with Gordon in.

Malbranque too - never been a fan. Leadbitter with Richardson is a better pairing.

McCartney got the red, Malbranque was then responsible for pen.

As far as SSN are concerned, anyway.

Ah right okay.

Malbranque is quality though likely to assist or score if sunderland do.

Also Match facts dont look good so far.

Man city 6 shots 2 on target.
Sunderland 2 shots none on target.

Possesion
Man city 67% Sunderland 33%

Football clubs in the north east has gone down big time, bit like yorkshire... London and the north west will continue to rule! Muhaha!

Plus Rangers and Celtic should ditch the SPL and join the English Prem, it would do them wonders and maybe, just maybe help them to play better in europe.

Emmanuel Adebayor
Friday, March 20, 2009
Emmanuel is still sidelined with a hamstring injury but could return for the Premier League clash with Manchester City after the international break.

Silvestre is fit and available.

Tomas Rosicky
Friday, March 20, 2009
Tomas has suffered a minor set-back in his rehabilitation. The Czech midfielder has not played since January 26, 2008 because of a troublesome injury to his hamstring tendon and his comeback is on hold for now. “Tomas has had a little set-back of one week so he will be out for two weeks again,” said Wenger. “We have to be a bit more patient than in the start. I told you two weeks ago that he would be back in full training but he will not. He’ll be back in full training in two weeks time now."

Cesc Fabregas
Friday, March 20, 2009
Cesc is expected to return to action at the end of March or the beginning of April. The captain has not played since suffering knee ligament damage against Liverpool on December 21. Wenger said: “Fabregas and Eduardo have come back into full training today but I think they will be short for Saturday. It is the first time back for Cesc. He is physically fit but he needs a few training sessions. So it will be after the international break for him."

They SHOULD all be back to play Wigan on the 11th of April

The will take 3rd place off Chelsea with some luck. :spin2:

Some England players be sharper, some look bit heavy.. The England team now would be lucky to crawl out of the group stage in he world cup!

Best England team ever... Italia 90! We would have would that and had amazing players, plus we nearly beat West Germany, came so close.. Since then it has been down hill, apart from Euro 96.

andyman
29-03-2009, 10:41 PM
Fek it, i'm supporting Spain next summer.. England will show up, play like they have 50ton weights tied to their feet and become a laughing stock.. Again!

Or maybe we will play ok, get a goal, then settle for a one goal win... Again! Big mistake as always.. Plus our forwards are not on the same level as spain.

30stone
29-03-2009, 10:41 PM
Its surprising we dont do better.

Instead of James we should get almunia.

But Terry, Cole, Jagielka, Lescott, Upson, Davies you know some quality defence.

And Midfielders like Gerrard and Lampard world class, and then barry, young becks, My personal opinion is we should have danny murphy as a sub not dawson because dawson is ****.

And attackers like Rooney who's amazing player, crouch who is on fire at the moment.
Walcott when hes on form is great to have for the last 30 minutes. Agbonlahor too.

We have some great players but they all play better club football.

Chelsea, (h)

Tottenham, (a)
Portsmouth, (h)

Wigan boss Steve Bruce has questioned Amr Zaki's future at the club after the striker failed to report back from international duty for the fourth time.

The club have been unable to contact the 26-year-old since he played for Egypt against Zambia on Sunday.

"I can honestly say that in all my time in football I have never worked with someone as unprofessional," said Bruce.

"In Zaki's case it really defies belief from a player who is on loan and trying to earn himself a long-term contract."

Zaki, who scored Egypt's only goal in a 1-1 draw with Zambia, started the season in superb form with nine goals in 13 games taking him to the top of the Premier League goalscoring list.

But he has struggled to maintain those high standards, with his last goal for Wigan coming on 28 December.

"I really am at the end of my tether with him," said Bruce, who will fine Zaki for the latest indiscretion.

"I am now fearful that if I don't take firm action, it will disrupt the rest of my squad, who - to a man - behave totally professionally," continued Bruce on Wigan's official website.

Zaki's behaviour has shown total disrespect to the club who pays him a very good wage and, equally as importantly, to the fans who sing his name from the stands

Wigan boss Steve Bruce

"Before this latest incident, Zaki had already been fined considerably more than the average person in Britain earns in a year and he will now face another heavy fine.

"This is the fourth time he has not reported back on time from international training.

"I have already fined him the maximum allowed but this just seems to have no effect."

The Egypt team doctor has faxed Wigan a report claiming that Zaki has picked up a hamstring injury and needs rest, but that has not been backed up by the required scan.

"I just feel it's time that we went public on just what a nightmare he has been to deal with," added Bruce.

"I am right behind my players representing their countries, it is a tremendous honour for the club. This is not the issue here.

"My South American players, for instance, have to go much longer distances but I have never had a problem with any of them.

"I'm sick of answering questions about Zaki's whereabouts and I don't want anything to distract the players from preparing for another massive game for us on Sunday against Everton.

"Zaki's behaviour has shown total disrespect to the club who pays him a very good wage and, equally as importantly, to the fans who sing his name from the stands.

"I think it's time for them to know the truth about the man.

"This situation needs to be resolved as soon as possible and I don't feel it's appropriate to say anything more at this stage, apart from how let down I feel, personally and professionally."

Zaki's Egypt and Wigan team-mate Mido made it back to the JJB Stadium on time.

So, basically, looking very good for England and Northern Ireland, ROI look likely for second place if not top (bearing in mind the 8 best runners-up will go into a knockout where the 4 winners gain qualification), Scotland are 2nd at the moment but that group looks like anyone could get it. I'd say it's fair to rule out Wales now.

Wales Are bassicaly OUT

Scotland might get a play off place at best but will get knocked out in it

Repuplic of ireland Will more then Likely get a play off place as well

And northern ireland might look good now but once all the games in hand have been played they might be as Low as 3rd

Kuyt & Gerrard both sign new deals:

Dirk Kuyt today followed club captain Steven Gerrard in agreeing a two-year contract extension with Liverpool.
The 28-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal but is now set to stay at Anfield until at least 2012.

1. Liverpool - 67
2. Man Utd - 65
3. Chelsea - 64
4. Arsenal - 58

Utd with 2 games in hand, one against Villa the other against Wigan. The have 3 or 4 games in the same week they play Wigan though, so it'll be tough. And a lot of players are suspended and injured for them tomorrow, so Villa could get something.

Not counting Arsenal out either, they still have to play the top 3, so if they can beat the 3 of us then they'll be back in with a chance... could backfire and have Villa catch them though.

Villa playing much better, Fergusson will be ripping Utd apart in that dressing room right now.

Want Agbonlahor and Barry to score.

Wow didnt see this coming...

Kinda od annoying i was happy with the draw.

As i took agbonlahor off fantasy team so hes a sub.

and a draw would keep aston villa 5 points behind arsenal now they are only 3.
