and boo'd at the end (but then again that could of been at the ref)

reminded me of our fans but our fans are worse

It was a bit of both I think

Fair enough we should have played better but I really can't stand when fans don't get behind the team and then bitch and moan that they're not playing with any fire, the crowd can be like a 12th man at games like today's.

Bring on the Villa! ;) I reckon it will end up a draw tbh, will be a tough game!

Jagielka was nothing short of amazing today i thought, i hope he goes world cup.

He is a great player vital, if you had him all season then you could be a bit higher.

For me hes better than distin and yobo by far.

Wolves Captain Henry Calls Arsenal players "a disgrace"

After saying he should be sent off.
And they roll about on the floor to help it.

Well for me i disagree every team crowds the ref for a big desicion like that red cards or penalties.. there is always people up in the refs face.

As for rolling around on the floor i dont think he saw what he did to Rosicky.. it looked like it bloody hurt to me.

Mans just being bitter.

Very entertaining end to the season.

But it is getting hard to look past chelsea

I said after they got knocked out of champions league that they would do well now.

They would be focused and more fit and will go out and dominate teams...

Just watched a recording of the match after coming home from town. Diaby should have released Walcott at 1-0 and you never know, things may have been different. Having said that, there's not much you can do against a little genius like that when he's up for it.

Meh, wanted Villa to win today. Should have been given a frankly blatant penalty and Terry was lucky to stay on the pitch after that tackle, could have been really nasty.

Bit sloppy at times though and gave the ball away far too much, why O Neil brought Heskey on for Carew I have no idea....

I hope Pompey win tomorrow now and go on to win against Chelski in the final, unlikely but would be nice for them after the season they have had.

Tbh you didn't play like you were in a semi final :/ Gave the ball away far too much and defended poorly at times, I thought you were pretty well matched though most of the game tbf, if you'd got that penalty decision it could have been a different story.

Nah I would keep Wes tbh.. I like Anderson but i've got a feeling he will be sold:(. I would keep Carrick despite his form of late and as for Foster well Fergie seems to have faith in him.

We've been linked with Milner but I doubt that would happen. A couple of players do need to go now as this squad has been the same for a while now and have done great but it needs freshening up and changing more:).

Foster's their 3rd keeper and I think Van de Sar has at least one more season in him. Might as well cash in on him now. Anderson is young so he'll be kept. Carrick has been terrible and what is he, like 28 now? Perfect time to sell him. We need money to buy the right type of players. Brown is in his 30's now and will never get first team football for United.

I think Brown will stay until he retires like Neville, Scholes and Giggs etc.

I think Fergie should consider buying a left back to give competition to and cover for Evra because he plays a lot of games and if he were to get injured theres not a natural player there apart from Fabio who's young and still got a lot to learn to do that job but you're right Fergie will probably be evaluating the squad now.

West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace insists the club will not break the bank to retain their top-flight status next season.

The Baggies will be back in the big time after securing an immediate return courtesy of a 3-2 weekend win at Doncaster Rovers.

West Brom are the proverbial yo-yo club and Peace has no problems with the team adopting a cautious approach financially next season.

Peace is keen for Roberto Di Matteo's squad to stay up and insists they will be creative as they look to find ways of bolstering the manager's budget.

Prudent
"We will be positive but we will remain relatively prudent," he admitted.

"Our number one priority is always to keep the club solvent while trying to compete successfully at the highest possible level.

"Everyone has seen football clubs get into dire financial difficulties in recent years but this will not happen at Albion on my watch. We will continue to be sensible and realistic.

"A club of our size, without a benefactor, can only spend a certain amount and we have to be more inventive in the way we use our comparatively limited resources."

Sensible but Baggies really need to stop the yo yo thing now and I hope they can stay up in the PL for more than one season but it's hard:).

Paul Scholes signs one year deal with Manchester United:).

Barclays Capital is to advise Liverpool on the sale of the club and Martin Broughton has been appointed as a new chairman at Anfield.

The debt-ridden Reds have been shrouded in uncertainty regarding the future of controversial co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett for the majority of the season, with reports linking numerous parties with a potential bid for the Premier League outfit.

Manager Rafa Benitez's status has been clouded by the financial insecurity on Merseyside and he has repeatedly been linked with a summer move to Serie A giants Juventus.

But the news that Barclays Capital and British Airways chairman Broughton have been brought in has been accompanied by an announcement from Hicks and Gillett that they want to sell.

A statement on Liverpool's official website read: "Following numerous expressions of interest from third parties, the club has engaged Barclays Capital to advise on the sale process. The club has the full support of its existing bankers for this process and has financing in place which will fully support the club's operations.

"Mr. Broughton, currently chairman of British Airways PLC and deputy president of the Confederation of British Industry, will work alongside the club's existing management team of Managing Director Christian Purslow, Commercial Director Ian Ayre and Financial Director Philip Nash."

Distinguished
Hicks and Gillett said in a statement: "Owning Liverpool football club over these past three years has been a rewarding and exciting experience for us and our families.

"Having grown the club this far we have now decided together to look to sell the club to owners committed to take the club through its next level of growth and development.

"We are delighted that Martin Broughton has agreed to take the position of chairman, working alongside the club's excellent senior management team.

"Martin is a distinguished business leader of excellent judgment and with a great reputation. He is a genuine football supporter and will seek to oversee the sales process in the best interests of the club and its supporters."

Broughton said in a statement: "I am excited and honoured to be taking up this position.

"Liverpool is a great club with a fantastic history. I will run this sale process in the right way, for the benefit of the club and its fans.

"Liverpool is one of the world's greatest clubs and my aim is to try and ensure that we find new owners who are able to build on the club's recent improved financial performance in order to help deliver sporting success."

THIS is the moment soccer star Jermain Defoe was caught with a young woman performing a sex act on him in a car as children played nearby.

The Spurs and England striker - who has boasted of being "the best role model I can" - risks jail after his obscene behaviour with the 20-year-old in a public street.

The photographer said: "Defoe was completely brazen. It was obvious what was going on."

DEFOE: Celebrating goal yesterday The seedy incident happened on Tuesday night, just 24 hours before his team's vital match against rivals Arsenal.

Defoe, 27, who scored against Chelsea yesterday despite tweaking his groin in training on Friday, was spotted leaving his mansion in Cuffley, Herts, on foot wearing a hoody at 8pm.

The player, who was recently linked to 22-year-old model Roxy Townsend, went straight to a blue Toyota RAV4 parked just 50 yards away.

Once inside he motioned to the red-head to drive to a nearby cul-de-sac of luxury homes where she again parked.

With a gaggle of children aged around seven or eight playing 100 yards away, the couple climbed into the back of the car.

The photographer said: "It was still light and anyone passing could see what they were up to. They chatted for only a few minutes before the girl disappeared from view.

"You could then see her head move up and down. It was clear what they were doing and clear the girl had come to meet him for only one purpose. He looked like he was enjoying himself."

While the sex act was being performed, two individuals and a family walked past the car. By the time Defoe and the girl, who we are not naming, were snapped it was 8.35pm and dark but the car was close to a street light. The shocked girl at first tried to hide in the footwell of the rear passenger seat while Defoe shielded his eyes.

Our witness went on: "It was only when they were rumbled that they stopped what they were doing and broke off.

"Defoe got out and casually walked home as if nothing had happened. The girl sat in the car for five more minutes before she drove off looking quite upset."

Last night neighbours were shocked that the £60,000-a-week star could behave so disgustingly in such a public spot. One young mum, whose house is near where the car was parked, said the footballer was known for cruising around looking for girls.

She said: "This is disgraceful. He's got a reputation around here for picking up girls but you don't expect this type of behaviour on your own doorstep."

And an elderly neighbour said: "What they do with girls is up to them but they should do it in the privacy of their homes."

Defoe - who was substituted in the 77th minute during his sides' 2-1 win - could still face police action over the incident for outraging public decency. The offence carries a maximum six months' jail or a £5,000 fine.

By law no one needs to actually see the act being committed but two or more people must be "capable" of seeing it.

It was only in February that Defoe said: "Footballers have to be aware they are role models for kids. I want to be the best role model I can."

He has dated a string of celeb beauties including Danielle Lloyd.

:laugh2:, naughty Defoe.

Arsenal plan smart £8 million move for Joe Hart

There is no denying the fact that Arsenal need to sign a new goalkeeper.

Lukasz Fabianski was in goal as Arsenal conceded 3 goals in the space of ten minutes to hand Wigan an unlikely three points at the DW Stadium this afternoon.

Many Arsenal fans questioned Arsene Wenger’s decision not to sign a new keeper during the January transfer window and I think it’s fair to say that if the Gunners had a decent keeper, they could easily be winning the Premier League at the moment.

As it is, Arsenal now have little chance of lifting the title at the end of the season with the Londoners now 6 points behind Chelsea with just 3 games to play.

It has been announced that Wenger will have money to spend in the summer and I am sure a new keeper will be high on his list of priorities when he does dip into the market.

There is a report in today’s Mirror, claiming that Arsenal will make an £8 million move for Manchester City keeper Joe Hart in the summer and to tell you the truth, I reckon Hart would be a cracking signing for the Gunners.

Hart, 23, is currently on loan at Birmingham, however with Shay Given likely to remain as number 1 at Eastlands next season, there is talk that the England international will look to leave City on a permanent basis.

I have said it in the past and I will say it again. Hart is, without doubt, one of the best keepers in the Premier League and I believe he would be superb addition to the Arsenal squad. He is still very young and at £8 million, I feel he represents value for money.

According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid have reportedly lured Arsenal starlet Fran Merida back to Spain.

Merida has had enough of being overlooked by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and will leave in search of more first-team opportunities.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made it clear in recent weeks he would like the Spanish youngster to remain at the Emirates, but he could give no guarantees as to first-time action.

The 21 year old has made just three appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring a solitary goal against Bolton Wanderers in January.

According to the News of the World Arsenal striker Eduardo is interesting French club Lyon.

The Croatian has failed to impress this season at the Emirates, with many believing the forward has never fully recovered from his horrific leg-break suffered against Birmingham City during 2008-09.

With the imminent arrival of Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux, he looks set to drop further down the pecking order behind Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner.

Despite signing a new long-term contract last November, the Gunners are believed to be willing to accept an offer of around £8 million.

When legendary striker Thierry Henry finally departed Arsenal in 2007 after a memorable eight-year spell with the club, his replacement was much anticipated. Who would Arsene Wenger bring in to replace his French X-factor?

The replacement was Eduardo Da Silva, a talented Croatian who had been excelling in the Croatian League with Dinamo Zagreb. The Croatian was blessed with blistering pace, a fierce shot and the rare ability to be icy cool in the goal area.

Eduardo started slowly in the Premier League, taking time to adapt to the physicality of the English game. But around Christmas, the Croatian international began to blossom. Come 2008, the footballing world witnessed another star striker embark onto the EPL.

But then on Feb. 23, 2008, a horror challenge left "Dudu" with a horror injury. A broken fibula and dislocated ankle saw the 27-year-old spend just under a year on the sidelines.

Although Eduardo's comeback to the Arsenal side has been admirable and a joy to watch, his form has since evaded him. This campaign, it has been evident Eduardo is no longer the damaging forward he used to be.

Lacking in confidence and skills, the Croatian star has contributed solidly this season for the Gunners, but sadly, many feel his time in the English game is over. Furthermore, with rumours from the likes of Lyon, Wenger may feel obligated to allow Eduardo to depart the Emirates.

This could see the Frenchman attract a handy profit for his striker which would enable him to pursue a quality replacement. One player who would have no difficulty performing at Arsenal is Wigan's star frontman, Hugo Rodallega.

The Columbian sharpshooter has had an impressive season with Wigan and many clubs are vying for his signature. Fortunately, the 25-year-old has expressed a desire to play at Arsenal, which only strengthens Wenger's reason to offer for the former Necaxa striker.

Rodallega is strong and agile making himself a powerful striker. Rodallega has been one of Wigan's top performers in their struggle to survive, with nine goals in 34 appearances.

The addition of the Columbian would allow more depth in the Arsenal forward ranks and also provide more versatility.

When the usual injury bomb deploys itself in the Arsenal base, Rodallega's presence could prove useful.

So should Wenger sell Eduardo to obtain the talented Hugo Rodallega?

Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill is reportedly on Arsenal FC’s transfer radar.

The Sunday Mirror claims Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is looking at augmenting his backline with the young centre-back.

Cahill has had an impressive season which has seen him move to the fringes of England coach Fabio Capello’s squad.

Wenger has experienced defensive problems this season and both Mikael Silvestre and Sol Campbell both in the twilight of their careers and the Wanderers defender could be the answer to his long-term plans.

The paper goes on to claim that Wenger is also monitoring Dane Simon Kjaer of Palermo.

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger has been given the green light for a major summer spending spree.

After yet another trophy-less season, chairman Peter Hill-Wood revealed more money “than for a long, long time” was available for Wenger – thought to be around £25-£30m.

Fulham’s Brede Hangeland (left) is one of his top targets. The north Londoners have a board meeting late next week and transfer bids will be on the agenda after the loss at Spurs, which ended their Premier League hopes.

A centre-back is a priority with Hangeland and Hamburg’s Jerome Boateng on Wenger’s radar.

The Frenchman knows he needs to boost his strike force. Bordeaux’s Marouane Chamakh seems set to join on a Bosman free, although he will command big wages.

Hill-Wood said: “We have got more money than we have had for a long, long time and we would like to spend it. But we want to spend it sensibly.”

He added the club were beginning to reap the benefits of Highbury Square – the conversion of the old stadium into homes – and also development around their new Emirates base.

“There is plenty of cash, although not in comparison to Manchester City, ” he said. “So we have got to look for others. We clearly cannot compete in the transfer market with them.”

Barcelona coach Guardiola wants deal for Arsenal fullback Clichy ahead of Cesc

Barcelona are chasing Arsenal fullback Gael Clichy.

Clichy impressed Nou Camp boss Pep Guardiola with two excellent performances against Barca in the Champions League quarter-final.

Guardiola has identified the need for a left back as a greater priority than a central midfielder like Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas, although the issue is clouded by the club's presidential elections in the summer, says the Daily Mail.

The Barca boss sees Clichy as a left-sided version of Dani Alves, a full back capable of attacking fluently but with the engine to carry out his defensive duties.

For Clichy, 24, it could provide the boost which propels him into the France team, where he has struggled to get past Manchester United's Patrice Evra and Barca's Eric Abidal.

He has two years left on his Arsenal contract but Clichy has not been at his most consistent this season. His place may even have come under pressure from Kieran Gibbs had the England Under 21 defender not broken his foot in November.

Real Madrid Track Manchester City's Carlos Tevez - Report
Real Madrid are reported to have expressed an interest in Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez in light of a breakdown in recent contract talks, according to the News of the World.

Despite only arriving at Eastlands from rivals Manchester United last summer, it is speculated that the explosive frontman is far from happy with his current contract and is seeking a wage increase to match the £160,000-a-week deal Robinho held with the club.

With Madrid struggling for silverware this season, and number one target Wayne Rooney all but certain to remain at Manchester United, the Spanish giants have switched their attention to Tevez who is also being courted by Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan.

It is believed the high-octane striker would jump at the chance to join international team-mate Lionel Messi in Spain, although with a view to end Barcelona’s La Liga dominance.

Tevez has scored 28 times this season, six in his last four outings, to fire the Citizens to fifth place in the Premier League and to the brink of Champions League football next season.
