Liverpool are beating Reading 1-0 with less than 10 minutes remaining. Reading just missed a peach. Torres got taken off early in the first half with a twisted knee then gerrard didnt come on in the 2nd half. I reckon somethings going on behind the scenes of anfield.

Fans boo'd liverpool yesterday?

Gerrard and Torres both having scans to see it they have serious injury. Bennayoun also picked up a slight rib injury.

The problem of putting your strong side in a fa cup match.

Torres
Gerrard
Bennayoun
Johhnson
Mascherano - Back in training
Riera- Back in training

Liverpools injury list.

Maxi Rodriugez will be a big boost to the squad.

Considering they put out a strong team out, I think they did care about it, as it was their only realistic chance of winning something this season.

I honestly cant see them winning the Europa league with that team. Now Torres is out for about 2 months, Gerrard 2 weeks, Yossi a few weeks, theyre seriously in the ****.

-Arsenal target Yaya Toure has revealed he would be interested in a move to the Premier League in the near future.

-Atletico Madrid are keen on Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos.
The Times says Atletico are keen to end Senderos’s spell at Arsenal after the defender reiterated his desire to leave the club during this transfer window.

-Arsenal and Real battling it out for the "new Fabregas"

-United will make a whopping £18million bid for Porto defender Rolando, who has apparently been rather good in the Champions League this season.

- David James moving to Stoke.

-Arsenal will complete the signing of Bolivan winger Samuel Galindo next week, Young Guns can confirm. The player is in London and the club are in the process of applying for a ’special talent’ work permit. If granted, it would allow Galindo to go straight into the squad, instead of facing a lengthy loan spell.

-Arsenal are reportedly moving closer to a deal for Ivorian striker Lacina Traore.
The CFR Cluj striker has been on the Arsenal radar after Arsene Wenger admitted the Gunners would look to sign a forward in the January transfer window.

-Arsenal are still interested in Chamakh, but looks likely they will miss out on him.

- Chamakh looks likely to not move until the summer.

- Birmingham want Pav from tottenham.

Paul Hart has left as QPR boss after only around a month and 5 games in charge by mutual consent.

full story:

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed Paul Hart has left the club after less than a month at Loftus Road.

Hart took charge on a short-term deal last month following the dismissal of Jim Magilton, but he has lasted only five games in the hotseat.

Some reports suggest the decision came after Hart fell out with the Rangers board over transfers, while an argument with on-loan midfielder Adel Taarabt has also been mooted as a possible cause.

Hart is the sixth boss, not including caretakers, to take charge at the Championship side during owner Flavio Briatore's two-and-a-half-year tenure.

Assistant manager Mick Harford is to take charge until the end of the campaign.

A club statement read: "The club can confirm that manager Paul Hart has decided to leave Queens Park Rangers Football Club with immediate effect.

"Assistant manager Mick Harford will be taking charge of first-team affairs, starting with this weekend's Championship fixture at Blackpool."

Rangers looking tired upfront..

Everton will find it very tough against a strong title fighting Man City.

Arsenal... 3rd place, another blank season.

Tottenham slipping up will slowly put them back where they belong.. Mid table.

Villa doing ok, but being ok is not enough.. 6th will be a great season for them.

Liverpool now have 4th place in the bag, only 4pts away from our goal and it will be a breeze for the mighty Liverpool.. Champions League next season.

Guernsey-based businessman Ben Steele has confirmed he has held talks over a prospective buy-out of Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds have fit the headlines for the wrong reasons this month after it was revealed they have until the end of January to settle an unpaid tax bill with HM Revenue.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale insists the club will continue to trade as normal, but Steele revealed he has held talks over a possible investment, and has not ruled out a complete takeover.

"I've been talking about making an investment or buying the whole club," he told Guernsey Press.

"Hopefully, we'll get something agreed and we're in the process of starting due diligence.

"We've got lawyers lined up ready and we've got the money ready."

The 32-year-old entrepreneur is reported to have made his fortune in the automobile industry before moving into property development, subsequently making him a multi-millionaire.

So Cardiff could be bought over soon.

There are aspects where Fab is better, and there are aspects where Shava is better. I guess it's just a matter of opinion who you think is better.

Fab's a better all-round player, whereas Shava is best on the offence.

IMO, Fabregas is better.

17-01-2010, 06:36 PM
Hey Jason there is some traits that Fabregas has that Arshavin does like his control of the midfield but Arshavin has the skill and the place. No doubt both will improve but their different style of play will benefit the team:).

Not far off us in second;).

-Arsenal are in the market for a new striker, and one of the names on their shortlist is Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic, the man who replaced current Gunner Eduardo at Dinamo Zagreb.

-Arsenal have beaten Everton FC to the signature of 17-year-old Bolivian midfielder Samuel Galindo from Real America but manager Arsene Wenger intends to send him out on loan.

-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given a strong hint that he will not allow midfielder Jack Wilshere to join Steve McClaren's FC Twente on loan.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire to sign a new striker although he is getting nowhere fast in his search.
The Gunners attack has been decimated by injuries this season with the likes of Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner all currently sidelined.

Youngster Theo Walcott has been restricted him to just three starts in the Premier League and Wenger admits he is still seeking a new frontman.

The Arsenal boss said: "Yes, I am still thinking about trying to bring someone in this month, but I must confess I am not very close to doing anything at this moment.

"I am looking at buying strikers because when we started the season we were playing with Van Persie and Bendtner up front.

"But at the moment we don't have either of them, while we are also without Walcott.

"So we are missing those three as we enter a very important period of the season when every point is crucial and can make the difference at the end of a season.

"But right now I am not close because I am yet to find a player who can convince me that he is better than what we have already."

30stone
17-01-2010, 07:53 PM
Milos Krasic is easily one of the best players to come out of Serbia. The CSKA Moscow midfielder has shown great talent whilst in the Russian league and is now keen for a move to the English Premier League.

With any player remotely talented, Manchester City immediately swoop with an astounding amount of cash. However, Krasic refused to listen to City claiming he will only listen to offers from Arsenal and Manchester United.

With Arsenal in desperate need of trophies and also carrying the usual phenomenal amount of injuries, a move for the hugely talented 25 year old would be wise.

Would probably pretty good there, as a sub, good back up since your squad isnt to big.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists he's not "conservative" in his transfer plans.

Wenger has reiterated his concern for football's finances. Portsmouth and Crystal Palace have struggled to pay wages, while even Manchester United are trying to restructure their debt.

Wenger, renowned for being unwilling to spend big money on players, said: "I am not conservative. I am realistic. It is different. We spend only the money we get. We have nobody who comes out when you lose £250million and says 'Listen, I make you a cheque' and life goes on. We live in a realistic world."

Asked whether he could envisage a Premier League club filing for bankruptcy, he added: "I am tempted to believe that because once the clubs start to (spend) the television income of the year after and the season tickets of the years after, that's a very dangerous trend. It means if you are not very successful on the pitch you're dead."

Arsenal boss hedges his bets over Smalling move

Arsene Wenger is coy over a move for promising Fulham defender Chris Smalling.

The Arsenal boss feels the Gunners currently have enough cover at centre-half, following the re-signing of former captain Sol Campbell.

"He is a player we know, yes, but there is no truth in it at the moment," Wenger said.

"Maybe in the future. At the moment is at the moment. I never rule anything out.

"I never speak about transfers.

"It is very interesting to make headlines, but the most important is that we inform the press when things are done.

"If the press knows every moment about every single transfer, I do not think that is right."

Former Real Madrid president Lorenzo Sanz must be feeling a devastating combination of boredom and jealousy right now because he felt the need to lash out at the current regime at his old club in an interview with Terra.es earlier this week. He threw plenty of barbs at current club president Florentino Perez, but he saved his best comments for Cristiano Ronaldo:

"I read on the cover of a newspaper that Cristiano would generate 80 million euros a year at Madrid. This is something no one can believe. Either we are all fools or Ronaldo is an idiot.

"Ronaldo is shown in the media like Tarzan in shorts!

"He must get up in the morning, see himself on the front pages of the newspapers, and believe he is Superman or God."

Actually, he believes he's more of a Super-God -- a combination of Superman and God, with a sprinkling of Wonder Woman -- but yeah, you're close enough.

Giovinco: Dazzling ‘Atomic Ant’ to Leave Juve? Liverpool, Arsenal & West Ham Alerted

Sebastian GiovincoLiverpool, West Ham and Arsenal have been alerted to news in Italy suggesting Italian starlet Sebastian Giovinco is frustrated with his role at Juventus. The diminutive star was the shining light of the Azzuri’s U21 side’s failed bid to win the European championships in Sweden last summer. Despite his impressive displays the 22-year-old is widely regarded as the best young prospect in Italy although he is struggling to earn a starting place in the Juventus side. His agent Andrea D’Amico told Sportitalia, “There are many factors to be considered and resolved in this matter.”

The striker has been struggling for goals this season (Gignac has only scored five goals this season after finishing top goalscorer in Ligue 1 last time out) but is still a key member of the French outfit’s squad and the top brass have the let the forward know that he will not be going anywhere during the transfer window.

The Bosnia international is a target for Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal, along with Italian giants AC Milan.

Bolton Wanderers are unlikely to sign Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere after the bitter fallout from Wednesday night's clash.

The Mirror says Trotters boss Owen Coyle wants to take the young midfielder on loan, but the bitter exchange between the two managers at the end of a fiery game at the Emirates has put the deal into cold storage.

The new Wanderers chief gave Arsene Wenger a frank description of what he felt about William Gallas' tackle on Mark Davies - and the fact that the Gunners played on to claim an equaliser.

Coyle had asked for Wilshere during his time at Burnley, and was keen to resurrect the deal to the England Under-21 star to the Reebok.

However, the strain between he and Wenger means Coyle is now pressing on with other targets and will not ask or expect any favours from Wenger.

The agent of AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has confirmed a move to England could be on this month.

The Dutchman has been linked with the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal this season.

"There are some clubs in England interested in the player, that is correct," agent Arnold Oosterveer told Soccernet.

"But out of respect for the clubs I cannot tell you [which ones they are]. It depends. In football everything is possible and in the last week a lot of things can happen.

“He wants to play more than he plays now and if that is in England or Germany or Spain or Italy, that is for him.”

Oosterveer added: "There is no problem at the moment and I hope Milan want to cooperate for the next four months and play him, because he needs to play more.

“It depends if Milan want to cooperate with the player. For now they want him to stay in Milan."

Really wanted to stay in the F.A cup as i think if we had of put a full side out we would have been quite likely to win it.

We can say all we want about champions league, and yeah we are in with a shot, but really the champions league is a big ask..
