WWE are pondering what to do with their flagship Monday Night Raw broadcast - because their wrestlers cannot get out of the UK.

The volcano chaos engulfing Europe has left air space across the continent in lockdown.

A weekend ruling by the National Air Traffic Service grounded flights across most of the UK until Monday morning at the earliest.

And that has meant that staff from the Raw Brand, including John Cena, Randy Orton and Batista, are currently stranded in Northern Ireland after wrestling a show in Belfast, the last on their current UK tour.

Next Sunday's Extreme Rules Pay Per View could even be in doubt, with experts warning that the travel chaos could go on for months.

Raw is due to emanate on Monday from East Rutherford, New Jersey, on the eastern seaboard of the United States, but those who normally populate these shows are over 3000 miles away, and time is running out.

Flights between London and New York are typically between seven and eight hours long, and when factoring in transits between airport and arena are considered, there is very little time for them to make the show, even if they leave UK late Monday morning.

There has a been a curious lack of activity by Raw brand wrestlers on Twitter today, which may be an indication that WWE are trying to quell worries that their talent may not make the show.

The Smackdown portion of the European tour concluded early, as WWE cancelled shows in Austria and Turkey, with the crew returning to America in the early hours of Sunday morning, Eastern time.

The logical solution is that the Smackdown brand's talent will make up for the Raw shortfall, but this too is a costly and difficult logistical process.

WWE could potentially simply book a show featuring all Smackdown superstars and the rookies of NXT. They are unlikely to screen a rerun, highlights packages or to cancel the event entirely, because it would gift a large potential audience to TNA, who have a live show following up their Lockdown Pay Per View.

One major Raw name who did not make the trip to Europe was Triple H, so it is likely The Game will feature on this week's show, after not being featured in the episode from the o2.

Who will join him, though, is anyone's guess.

Mickie has already been in TNA as Alexis Laree, During the "Gathering" Days with Hulio (Whatever his name was) and Raven when they were feuding with Jeff Jarrett. She was paired with Amazing Red for a short while too. She wrestled Trinity quite a few times.

She was also in the Clockwork House of Orange matches, the only woman who ever was. She got smashed over the head with a bin off Jeff Jarrett once, and put through a table i think.

Fun Fact: She was on the First Ever Episode of TNA, in a battle royal.

Now in TNA there are many more women than when she was there last, There's a woman's title there, Mickie could become the first woman to hold all three mainstream women's titles if she won the Knockouts Title.

I'd love Mickie James Vs. Tara again, Mickie James Vs. Angelina Love, Mickie James Vs. Madison Rayne and Mickie Vs. Taylor Wilde.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed she'll return to TNA.

On Monday's TNA iMPACT!, Eric Bischoff unveiled details of the company's new ranking system to determine the Top 10 challengers to the TNA World Heavyweight championship.

The rankings will be determined by "a combination of weighted factors" including won/loss records, online fan voting and influence from a newly established "Championship Committee."

- The Championship Committee consists of TNA President Dixie Carter, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.

- Fans will be able to vote online for who they think should receive a TNA title shot.

The monthly rankings will be announced on iMPACT the day after pay-per-views. The first Top 10 Contender rankings will be announced on May 17th, the night after TNA Sacrifice.

So far, with over 50,000 votes tallied, Desmond Wolfe is actually in the lead, with Jeff Hardy trailing behind in second place.

I had such high hopes for Milena/Rosa when she was OVW women's champion as Rouka, She came to the main roster and was un-inspiring, She could be good as a heat magnet manager though, as a wrestler she fails.
I don't get her being moved to smackdown, when Alicia and Gail both should have moved over to the blue brand. Smackdowns gotten the short end of the straw this year. MVP and Christian were both great moves, the rest meh.

TNA have conceded defeat in their Monday Night War with WWE — and moved back to broadcasting on Thursdays in the United States.

Despite big name signings such as Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam joining the likes of Jeff Jarrett and Sting, their Impact show struggled in the ratings against WWE Raw.

Part of that was undoubtedly down to trying to compete against programmes that included the build-up to WrestleMania, Shawn Michaels' retirement and the annual draft.

Impact has been getting record viewing figures in the UK but last Monday in the States received its lowest ever rating on Spike TV.

Repeats in the show's old Thursday slot were still doing well, indicating to bosses that fans would prefer to watch Impact unopposed rather than having to choose between it and Raw.

Reports state that extensive research also proved that people wanted the company's flagship show back where it belongs on a Thursday night.

TNA President Dixie Carter said: "Our fans made it clear that they preferred the Thursday night time period.

"This is a win-win opportunity for both TNA and the fans. We are looking forward to delivering what the fans are asking for!"

Spike TV's Brian Diamond added: "The fans have spoken and with their input we have determined the best timeslot to maximise the TNA audience is on Thursday nights where we are confident it will be among the most-watched shows with young men."

Impact moves back on May 13 and will be joined by new show ReAction from June 24, in what Spike are calling 'TNA Thursdays'.

It will continue being broadcast every Saturday in the UK on Bravo from 9pm and Bravo+1 an hour later.

Prowrestling.net's Jason Powell, who broke the story, said: "I'm disappointed by the news, but I can't blame Spike TV officials for making the call to move the show given that the ratings have taken a substantial hit on Monday nights.

"Nevertheless, it would have been interesting to see what type of numbers the show could have drawn over the long haul."

WWE's last Monday Night War with WCW lasted for five and a half years, only ending when WCW went out of business in 2001.

Those old TNA fans have not gone anywhere. They are the exact same TNA audience the company has had for years. They have drawn zero additional fans to the product. At least nothing that measures up properly on the ratings.

It's the same TNA audience. Just a few of them picked Raw over it when they went head to head.

The key for TNA is if they can built an identity of their own, which they have yet to do. Right now they have WCW's identity.

The Fayettville Observer in North Carolina is confirming a report by Jason Powell that Jeff Hardy's court date has been moved yet again.

Hardy appeared in a Moore County, N.C. court earlier today alongside his lawyer and his case has once again been delayed until June 3rd, 2010.

On September 11th, 2009 Hardy was arrested on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids, after a search of his house yielded 262 Vicodin prescription pills, 180 soma prescription pills, 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of powder cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

I'll be controversial here and say Christian does not deserve a headline spot in WWE. As much as I like him he just screams midcard talent to me. The WWE is clogged up with about a dozen people who could plausibly be put in a main event spot right now and it's no surprise to me that he is still stuck under the glass ceiling.

Christians good, but he is so unremarkable. And to an extent - unmarketable. The remaining adult 'wrestling' fans from back in the day go nuts for him and buy into the whole peep thing, but I don't see Vinnie's kiddie army buying into him as a champion.
