they will be traveling up from the south to the Central belt tomoz afternoon but they will be small intense cells with defined edges so one side of the motorway gets 25mm and the other zero, that type of set up so its hit and miss but coming from South over the high ground in Lanarkshire usually sets off a few for Glasgow

I'd like to get one of those weather stations that has a rain meter and detects wind to broadcast on Weather Underground... I have a simpler one with an indoor unit, but I need to make a Stephenson screen for the outdoor sense because there's not really many good places on my property to put it... so it's a little inaccurate at different times of the year.

T accurately measure wind direction a speed you would realistically need an anemometer mounted 5 metres above ground
I can vouch for these systems:

btw is there still a water warning in UK, since some places there has been some rain now
but mostly weather here will be like 26C or 28C average, with an exception of maybe 1 day in the 30C
and it does cool down really well in the evening, which is also good for the water that it doesn't overheat too much cause i think that can happen if it stays hot in the evenings as well

Met Office forecaster Alex Burkill said: ‘It does look likely it will be at least 33C at some point this week, most likely on Wednesday or Thursday, in the south east and east, London, Essex, Kent, east Anglia and into Lincolnshire – and that would make it the hottest day we have had so far.’
Temperatures are likely to be lower elsewhere.
Forecasters said there is a chance of hitting 34C or 35C (95F), which could put Britons in line for the hottest day since the mercury hit 34.5C (94.1F) at Heathrow on June 21 last year.
The hottest July day on record is 36.7C (98F), which was reached at Heathrow on July 1 2015.

Amber — Heatwave action
Triggered when the Met Office confirms threshold temperatures for one of more regions have been reached for one day and the following night, and the forecast for the next day has a greater than 90% confidence level that the day threshold temperature will be met. This stage requires social and healthcare services to target specific actions at high-risk groups.
On Monday, hot and humid air will lie over the east and southeast of England, with cloud and outbreaks of rain across northern England. The cloud and rain will gradually break up and turn showery in the north, with some of these heavy and thundery. South of the rain, long spells of sunshine, will develop with temperatures generally ranging from very warm in West and East Midlands, to hot and humid, locally very hot in east and southeastern areas. Away from northern England, dry and sunny weather should dominate through the week, but interspersed with heavy showers in afternoon and evening periods. Temperatures will be very warm or hot, locally very hot in the east. Thresholds could be breached in places from Monday onwards, with very warm and muggy overnight conditions. Yorkshire and Humber and southwest England will also see temperatures rise through the week, but with cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting the north and west, there is a lower risk of thresholds being reached. There is a chance that Alerts will need to be downgraded and/or extended for the end of the week, however confidence is currently low and this will be reviewed through the week.

Love it :cheer2: I could do with being away from the coast actually it's suppressing the temps
Folks on netweather are looking to next weekend for the record threatening stuff

The six places that have received the least rain this summer
Heathrow (0.4mm)
Hampton Water works (0.6mm)
Kenley Airfield (1.0mm)
Cambridge NIAB (1.0mm)
Cavendish (1.6mm)
High Wycombe (1.8mm)
But the title of Britain’s driest place should probably go to Brooms Barn, near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The Met Office reports that a large majority of sites in East Anglia have had no rain whatsoever since June 21, but Brooms Barn has enjoyed/endured 49 consecutive days without a single drop of rain. That’s 0.0mm, every day, since June 5.

the car sensor in usually under the front wheel arch and not in the car. As long as the car has been moving for 5 mins its pretty reliable +/- 1C
