Great match! Nadal threw in literally everything he had but it still wasn't enough. It just shows how dominant Djokovic has become. Not even playing his best yet he still grinds it out.
Great match! Incredible stamina
Omg! Murray serving for the match in Dubai against Djokovic
Wow I haven't posted in here in a while :)
Indian Wells shaping up to be two good finals.
Djokovid loses AGAIN  in three sets to John Isner
Azarenka bt. Sharapova 6-2 6-3
Extends her winning streak to 23 matches this year.
Azarenka extends her winning streak to 23 matches
Federer vs. Isner next.
Can't see anyone beating Azarenka at the minute, Sharapova did well to win 5 games
She'd get jobbed out by Vika
Federer bt. Isner 7-6(7) 6-3
He's now earned more points than any other player since the US Open 2011

Both Williams sisters in action this week.
Venus just beat Kvitova! :o

Azarenka is still winning up 24-0 now
(1) Victoria Azarenka (BLR) d. Michaella Krajicek (NED) 63 75
Other noteable wins were:
(WC) Heather Watson (GBR) d. (27) Lucie Safarova (CZE) 62 61 :thumbs2:

Azarenka/Watson line up.
Be a good experience for Watson, maybe she'll take a few more games off Vika than last time (Oz Open 2012, 6-1, 6-0)
Djokovic/Baghdatis, Karlovic/Del Potro, Querry/Anderson all good looking third round matches

Hoping Watson can take two games from Azarenka this time :cheer:
Impressive comeback for Venus but I must say I am very disappointed with Kvitova this year. If you told me a female player would go 23-0 at the beginning of the year, I would have put money on it being her.
And credit to Feds for mopping up the smaller events, but where is this form in the slams? He needs to bring it this summer.
I would like to see Federer to win a slam this year, he's got good form but its almost like Djok and Nadal just bring their A++++ game to the slams.
yeah i'm disappointed in her too, she was so good last year and I would have thought she'd win the Oz open this year but she didn't :bored:
I'm happy Vika is going well though

Yeah if you look back at wimbledon last year you would never have thought Vika could be on the form she's on now she's like a different player and you'd never have thought Kvitova would be struggling
Heather Watson manages the unthinkable!!!! :amazed:
She won 2 games off Azarenka in her 6-0 6-2 defeat :joker:
Vika comes back from a 1-6 1-4 deficit to beat Cibulkova! Almost lost it.
Women's quarter finals are rounded off.
Azarenka v Bartoli
V. Williams v. Radwanska
S. Williams v. Wozniacki
Li v. Sharapova
Men's fourth round play today; highlights being:
Del Potro v. Ferrer
Gasquet v. Djokovic
Simon v. Murray
Azarenka trolling with us made us think she was going to lose
 Wozniacki and Sharapova through.

Yeah, though it's infamous for a player to win both Indian Wells & Miami, she'll join an elite of players if she can win Miami this week.
Steffi Graf x2 1994 - 1996
Kim Clijsters 2005
That's it :joker:
This is the first time that I have ever felt that Sharapova's game is worthy of being at the top of the rankings (pretty much top). In the past I've always thought of her as somebody who didn't quite deserve to be No.1 or No.2 just because she wasn't winning bit tournaments or getting anywhere near to the titles.
It really does look like it's impossible for her to beat Vika though, Vika just uses Sharapova's power to her advantage + Sharapova is really slow at getting to shots down the line where Vika is unbelievably fast at times but yeah she deserves to be #2 at the minute, no one else is really standing out apart from those 2 this year
(7) Marion Bartoli (FRA) d. (1) Victoria Azarenka (BLR) 63 63

I should have listened to my gut and put that bet on Radwanska when I had the chance :bored: All the signs pointed to it; Sharapova not winning a final this year, and not winning her previous 3 Miami finals, Radwanska not losing to anybody other than Azarenka this year, Sharapova not being able to win a point that goes over 5 shots. Oh hindsight.

Back to this week, Serena was scary good in that semi final. The best I've seen her in ages. It's this kind of brutally vengeful Serena that I love to watch.
Not many surprises in Davis Cup. Perhaps Isner leading the USA to victory over France on clay is the biggest story. Djokovic-less Serbia and Murray-less GB out as expected.

Serena 5-0 up in less than half an hour
Serena thrashed Safarova 6-0 6-1 wins her 40th WTA title
CHARLESTON, SC, USA - A day after a semifinal win she said was one of the best matches of her career, Serena Williams brought that same form out again for the final of the Family Circle Cup, routing Lucie Safarova in 58 minutes, 60 61, to cross another milestone - the 40th WTA title of her illustrious career.
On Saturday, the No.5-seeded Williams defeated a No.2-seeded Sam Stosur in just 58 minutes, 61 61, compiling an almost unheard of +14 differential on clay against one of the best clay courters out there (29 winners to 15 errors).
Williams did even better against the No.9-seeded Safarova in the final, winning the first nine games of the match to build a 60 30 lead; Safarova held at love to get on the board, but Williams won another three games to close it out, 60 61.
The match time of the final was the same as her semifinal, 58 minutes, but her differential was an even better +19 (27 winners to just eight errors).
When asked about playing so unbelievably well in the last two rounds, Williams declared she didn't want*the momentum to end. "I hope I can make it three and four and five and six and more and more and more," she said. "I definitely want to continue this. I've never played consistently at such a high level with low errors like this, and the scary thing is I could have served so much better."
The American moves from No.10 to No.9 now, but with nothing to defend until the grass court season, and nothing substantial to defend until the summer hardcourt season, she could make a run back towards where she once was.
"I have nothing to defend. June - Wimbledon I didn't do anything, Eastbourne I won one match, so that doesn't count. I did pretty well in the summer, but then I dropped off again until this tournament. So I really am like a floating bird.
"It's motivating for me to go home and work harder, because I know Lucie and Sam and everyone is going to work hard, too. Now they know what to expect even more when they play me. This is a battle, and I want to continue to win.
"My next tournament is Madrid."
And how will Williams celebrate her latest triumph? "I'm going on HSN tonight at midnight. I will be launching my new collection," she said. "That's how I'll be celebrating, with a new line. I'm actually excited about it. Some great things."
Williams lost just 15 games all week - the fewest en route to a WTA title this year. But the biggest stat might be winning that 40th WTA title, just the third active player to get to 40 (Venus Williams has 43, Kim Clijsters has 41).
It was only Williams' fourth WTA clay court title, but they've all been big ones - Rome and Roland Garros in 2002, and Charleston twice now, 2008 and 2012.
Safarova still had a stellar week, reaching her third Premier final (she was also a finalist at Paris [Indoors] in 2007 and 2010) and recording some meaningful wins the last two rounds, over Vera Zvonareva in the quarterfinals (her 14th Top 10 win) and Polona Hercog in the semifinals (her first career double bagel).
The Czech didn't come away from Charleston empty-handed either, later capturing her first WTA doubles title alongside Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, beating Anabel Medina Garrigues and Yaroslava Shvedova in the final, 57 64 106. "It's amazing," Safarova said. "Nastia and I got our first wildcard in Miami and made the quarters, and here we got our second wildcard and won it. I like doubles. I really enjoy*playing doubles*and it seems we fit as partners."

and not surprising, Nadal won the Barcelona title, his seventh! Beating David Ferrer 7-6 (7-1) 7-5
Blue clay at Madrid this year. Interesting...
Novak and Nadal out in consecutive days

The blue clay debate has been interesting. Although I agree that it should not make a return next year, I think the way Nadal and Djokovic went about it screamed sour grapes. They were made to look very juvenile compared to older players Federer and Williams, who both seemed to just take it in their stride.
2nd defeat of the year too Andy.
Williams was ridiculously good today, she's got such smart tactics for clay. Haven't seen this from her before, seriously dangerous for RG. Wouldn't wanna be in her side of the draw.
Federer had a little blip closing it out but he finally managed to :)

3 out of 6 Brits win their first Roland Garros qualifying matches - Jamie Baker, Heather Watson and Laura Robson.
I fully expect Watson to qualify with relative ease. Robson has a decent chance. Baker is currently down a set and a break in his second round, so very unlikely.

Murray seeded to face Tomic in round 3. Potential toughie. Then probably Gasquet in round 4, who he lost to a couple of weeks ago. If he gets through that, Ferrer will probably be waiting for him. Tough draw for someone in questionable form.
Watson draws Vesnina in round one. She's not had a great year but did reach a final on clay a few weeks ago. Tough one to call, but I think experience will prevail in the end. prove me wrong, Heather! Winner probably faces Goerges.
Keothavong draws Czink. Winnable, but Anne is in horrendous form lately. She needs to win to stand a chance of qualifying for the Olympics. Maybe this will give her a boost. Winner faces Pavlyuchenkova or Arn.
Baltacha gets the short straw - draws Stosur. Hope she can win a couple of games!
Not holding out much for Murray, definitely be surprised to see him going further than the 4th round
Will Enjoy watching Vika destroy Brianti tomorrow morning as i am eating my breakfast

Locke is a rookie when it comes to Tennis we'll have to educate him Mollie

Ok that was admittedly a good one
He didn't even know Vika was seeded Mollie had to break the news to him
Tbh, when she bows out in the 2nd round it'll be as if she wasn't seeded
Vika has a firm place in the final.. no one is good enough to knock her out unless she gets injured or her racket decides to have some sort of weird curse placed on it like what happened at the French Open
Fourth round match up with Ivanovic, QF with Wozniacki or Bartoli, SF with Williams or Petra
Tough
Isner v. Mahut possible second round?! :amazed:
Stosur, Radwanska and Ni La all in command at the minute

Venus is sh*tting all over court two at the minute. Down 5-1 first set. I might have to turn my attention to this one. The Tipsarevic v Nalbanian match isn't what I was expecting thus far.

Lisicki smashed Martic to pieces, the road to the title has begun
Venus out, Novak through.
Shame, she's a very special player here at Wimbledon. Hopefully she'll be more fit next year
Sharapova will be flying through to Round 2
We don't get to see the GOAT in action until tomorrow
Tipsarevic through :) good ole Janko, beating that Linesman beater

Quite outraged they're not showing Kirilenko.
Watson playing great at the minute and Golding was really unlucky before should have took that tiebreaker in the third set

C'mon Laura, break down in the second set but she'll bounce back!
Oh Laura :( It's hard to watch.
Goffin levels his match up against Tomic and takes an early break in the third set. Great talent this boy has, up and comer.

I usually like Schiavone but she annoyed the **** out of me in this match. That 10/15 minute break between sets was ridiculous. Stopped all the momentum Laura had.
Definitely, ridiculous amount of time for an injury

Sharapova is the only reason to watch Women's tennis. She has unreal natural beauty that is matched by NO other female in the world you tell me another lady in the world that could play a 3 hour match in massive heat without any makeup and look as sexy as Sharapova
Would smash with the force of a thousand greek gods
