Former EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth has revealed that she may be joining Hollyoaks.

The actress, best known for her role as Walford's Kathy Beale, has been tipped to start filming with the Channel 4 soap a few weeks after her current stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Taylforth told the Daily Star Sunday: "I'm nervous but I'm also really looking forward to it.

"It was a big decision as I have been away from soaps for a long time. But it's a long contract so it will be nice to settle back into something."

A Hollyoaks spokesperson told Digital Spy this morning (January 6) that the show has been in talks with Taylforth but nothing is confirmed at this stage.

No details have been disclosed over who the 57-year-old will be playing if the deal goes ahead.

As well as EastEnders, Taylforth has previously had roles in Footballers' Wives and The Bill.

Interesting:). If Gillian does join I think it will be to play Anna Savage, as the character has been mentioned a lot on screen now Patrick and Sienna are in the show.

I like that BK is casting established actors, although I hope they look for the next big young talent too who can act and not there because of their looks or because they can sing e.g. Abi Phillips.

'Hollyoaks' return appearance for Amy Barnes

Amy Barnes will be back on Hollyoaks for two episodes next month, Digital Spy can confirm.

Ashley Slanina-Davies, who plays Amy, was back on set at the Channel 4 soap in December to film the brief return stint.

While it's too early for any storyline details to be confirmed, Slanina-Davies is thought to have shared scenes with Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay), Emmett Scanlan (Brendan Brady) and her on-screen children.

The episodes in question will air on Tuesday, February 12 and Wednesday, February 13 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Slanina-Davies bowed out as Amy last summer when the character left the village behind for a fresh start.

'Hollyoaks': Esther's bullying nightmare continues

Hollyoaks sixth former Esther Bloom is close to breaking point next week as her bullying ordeal gets even worse.

Esther (Jazmine Franks) is already far from popular after weeks of humiliation at college, and things don't get any easier for her when art teacher Jen Gilmore (Amy Downham) instructs the students to create a memorial canvass for the mini-bus crash victims.

Viewers will see Esther struggle with the task as she is confronted with her own hatred of the late Maddie Morrison, who was responsible for alienating her in the first place.

When the completed memorial is later slashed, Esther is the prime suspect and faces yet another backlash from her peers.

As well as being subjected to cruel messages online, Esther has a bottle of urine thrown at her in the corridor at college.

A tormented Esther also opens her locker to find a picture of Maddie, Jono and Neil with the words "it should have been you" written underneath.

In the end, Esther makes a drastic decision over what she needs to do about her horrendous situation - but what?

Meanwhile, Jen's project also has consequences for her ex-girlfriend Tilly Evans (Lucy Dixon) as it leads to the pair reconnecting.

As Tilly opens up to Jen about her grief after the crash, they end up sharing a passionate kiss. Their secret romance seems to be back on, but for how long?

Hollyoaks star James Atherton has revealed that there is a "dark" direction ahead for his character Will Savage as he frames Texas Longford for his upcoming fall from the Chez Chez stairs.

Fans already know that Will is left seriously injured shortly after confessing to his recent one-night stand with Texas later this week, but Atherton has now admitted that the scheming student sets up the dangerous incident himself.

When Texas pushes Will in an argument outside the club, he makes the rash decision to throw himself down the stairs when she turns away. Will is then rushed to hospital, while Texas is guilt-ridden as she fears she is to blame.

Atherton told Inside Soap: "Will makes some terrible decisions, but throwing himself down those steps is one of the worst."

Discussing the consequences for Will, he continued: "It's touch-and-go for a while. He's in a very severe state. When Will eventually wakes up in hospital, he allows Texas to believe that she pushed him, which is pretty dark! It allows him to manipulate her to get what he wants.

"He uses his injuries to guilt Texas into looking after him. Will's family hate her because he's allowed her to believe that she pushed him. But Will is like the gallant knight as he tells them to let her stay, and reels her in. He wants Texas to be completely subservient to him."

Atherton added that it may not be the last time that Will resorts to shocking measures to get what he wants.

He said: "Will's dark side is going to spiral completely out of control. We'll have to see how much he can get away with. He used to be such a sweet bookish character, but that weird side was always there. We might have a new Silas on our hands!"

Hollyoaks favourite Emmett Scanlan has decided to leave the soap, Digital Spy can confirm.

The actor, who plays bad boy Brendan Brady, will make an on-screen exit in March after two and a half years with the Channel 4 show.

Announcing the news and thanking his supporters, Scanlan commented: "To the greatest fans I could ever wish for - the time has come for me to sign out of Hollyoaks, to bow out as Double B aka Brendan mother******ing Brady.

"It has been the greatest honour to share the stage with you and I could think of no better company to spend my evenings with. Thank you for your love and loyalty and please, let's dance again another time, another role."

He added: "To the channel and Lime Pictures, thank you. A success built on surrounding myself with people who are better than me in every department, thank you."

Scanlan first hinted that Brendan's story was drawing to a close late last year, but today (January 9) is the first time that his departure has been officially confirmed.

While little is known about how Brendan leaves, Digital Spy has learned that show bosses want him to go out with a bang in a dramatic final storyline.

Viewers will have to wait and see whether Brendan is killed off, makes a sudden escape from troubles in the village, or heads to prison as punishment for his past crimes.

Scanlan joined Hollyoaks in 2010 and has since established Brendan as one of the most popular characters in the show's history.

Brendan's major storylines have included his domestic violence and subsequent love story with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson), explosive feuds with Warren Fox and Simon Walker, and disturbing encounters with his abusive father Seamus (Fintan McKeown).

Away from Hollyoaks, Scanlan has expressed an interest in working with Lime Pictures again on other projects, and is already being linked to another drama currently in development by the production firm.

I think they will keep Esther, she is mostly popular with viewers and I think Ruby will probably leave once the bullying has been revealed.

I can see Sinead sticking around and rebuilding her relationship with Diane though now Bart has gone.

RE Emmett I am glad he has confirmed the rumours of his departure. Brendan will be missed, but the show must go on and I hope they have the next bad boy or girl lined up to replace him.

The people who say that Hollyoaks is nothing with BB annoy me because the show has seen people come and go, no character is bigger than the show!

Emmett Scanlan has revealed that he is leaving Hollyoaks due to fears that his character would stagnate.

The award-winning Irish actor, who has played fans' favourite Brendan Brady since 2010, announced his exit today (January 9).

Speaking to The Sun, the star reflected: "Hollyoaks has been a massive part of my life.

"When I leave this world I want to leave characters behind who I am proud of. I have spent a good two and a half years inhabiting Brendan Brady.

"There is a fear that staying too long you could start to repeat storylines - and that is not fair on yourself or the audience."

Scanlan, who will make his on-screen departure in March, promised that Brendan's exit will "do justice" to the character.

He further joked: "I am the only 33-year-old man in the world who still has a YMCA 'tache on my face."

Of his National Television Awards nomination, he added: "You're always the underdog being on Hollyoaks. The fact this is a public vote makes it even more special."

Esther has a suicide attempt, she survives although in this storyline it would be wrong to kill her off since she is the victim and they need to show that there is light at the end of the tunnel for bullying suffers.

Although in some cases there sadly has not been with people killing themselves, self harming or going through more bullying etc.

Hollyoaks star Emmett Scanlan has promised that Brendan Brady's final storyline will be "epic".

The actor recently confirmed that he will be departing the Channel 4 soap as Brendan Brady after two and a half years.

Speaking about his final episodes, Scanlan told What's On TV: "It's going to be an epic storyline, there's going to be a lot of twists and turns.

"Since I joined in May 2010 I've been spoilt anyway with storylines and this is no different, it's an honour. I want to do it justice, not only for the characters and the Bradys, but I want it to ring home for the audience."

Scanlan also outlined plans to relocate to Hollywood following his final scenes for future projects.

"That's where I started, that's where I was working on a show beforehand," he said.

"I'm not going over there in the stereotypical 'Soap actor leaves Hollyoaks to go to Hollywood', it's got nothing to do with that.

"I'm going over there to stay with my manager, I've got auditions and meetings and stuff like that - they're already set up but predominantly I'm going over there to rekindle old friendships that I've kind of neglected over the last couple of years and to relax and take a break, and come back here as well.

"[Hollyoaks producers] Lime Pictures have approached me with the possibility of working on another project, another drama, with me at the forefront of something like that. The ideas they have are very ballsy and make me very excited."

Fans learned earlier this week that Emmett Scanlan will be leaving his Hollyoaks role of Brendan Brady.

Since arriving in 2010, Brendan has become one of the most popular characters in the show's 18-year history.

'Hollyoaks' Savage drama boosts first look ratings

E4's Hollyoaks first look managed its highest ratings so far this year last night (Thursday, January 10), overnight data shows.

Will Savage's secret was revealed to an audience of 737,000 (3.3%) at 7pm and 134k on +1, beating January 2's visit which had 711k.

Earlier at 6.30pm, Channel 4's normal edition took 1.09 million (5.1%) at 6.30pm and 123k on timeshift.

'Hollyoaks': Esther's bullying plot to take tragic turn

Hollyoaks' ongoing teen bullying storyline will take a tragic turn later this month as college student Esther Bloom makes a suicide attempt, Digital Spy can reveal.

Show bosses have worked closely with the BeatBullying and Samaritans charities while planning the story development, which follows months of torment for the troubled sixth former.

Esther has been bullied by her peers since last summer, when she began to be targeted with a variety of harsh comments, jokes and pranks, with 'queen bee' Maddie Morrison (Scarlett Bowman) as the ringleader.

The mistreatment, which has taken place both at college and online, has intensified in recent weeks with Sinead O'Connor (Stephanie Davis) and Ruby Button (Anna Shaffer) unfairly blaming Esther for the recent mini-bus crash which killed Maddie, Jono and Neil.

Upcoming Hollyoaks episodes will see the bullying become even more malicious and relentless. Esther then reaches breaking point without the support of her family, who are oblivious to her desperate situation.

Failing to seek help, Esther makes the devastating and unnecessary decision to end her life. Her suicide attempt is non-fatal, but will have significant consequences for her health and relationships with her loved ones.

By working alongside Samaritans, the Hollyoaks story team are aiming for a sensitive and responsible approach to the issue, following the charity's comprehensive Media Guidelines which advise on how to safely portray suicide and self-harm.

Sal Lalji, Press and PR Manager at Samaritans, commented: "Young people can be a vulnerable audience as they are more likely to be influenced by what they see in the media, and this subject matter is very relevant to them.

"We are pleased to see that Hollyoaks has worked hard to ensure that the storyline has been handled as responsibly as possible to try to limit the risk of copycat behaviour.

"It is important that these issues are tackled responsibly to help people understand the potential consequences of not sharing their problems and that help is, in fact, available."

Jazmine Franks, who plays Esther, added: "It has been a huge privilege to take on the challenge of this storyline. As an actress I have been given the most powerful, emotional and challenging scenes to perform, but also as a young woman I feel extremely lucky to have been given the opportunity to meet and work with some truly inspirational young people through BeatBullying.

"Hearing the stories of young people experiencing similar difficulties to Esther has been both shocking and saddening, but hearing how they have turned their lives around is truly inspirational. I am really proud of this story and hope that it is well received by the audience.

"I can't stress enough how important it is for anyone affected by the issues raised to seek help and support from BeatBullying, Samaritans or any of the hundreds of support networks available."

Meanwhile, Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood said: "I am really proud of this story and how it realistically approaches bullying, which is so relevant to our audience.

"We have seen the 'teasing' progressively worsen to a serious case of bullying that leaves a once confident and self-assured young woman in a very lonely and desperate situation."

The show's work with BeatBullying and C4 Education has also recently seen the launch of DocYou, a fictional social networking site that aimed to address the issues of cyber bullying. Additionally, cast members have been involved in BeatBullying's Cyber Mentor Training scheme.

Hollyoaks airs Esther's attempted suicide on Monday, January 21 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Atherton, who plays Will Savage, told PA: "Emmett's a brilliant actor and he's been great to have on the show. I share a dressing room with him and he's brilliant craic as well.

"I think the cast will miss him, absolutely, he's such a huge character. It'll be great at the same time. Him leaving will allow other storylines to come through, other families and that kind of thing.

"The Savages I think will have quite a lot to do. The show will still be as strong but he will be hugely missed, without a doubt."

Cheryl Brady's most recent Hollyoaks love interest is making a return to the soap.

Actor Tom Turner is reprising his role as Nate, who took a shine to Cheryl when they met in Southport in last year's series of Hollyoaks Later.

While Hollyoaks haven't officially confirmed the rumours, the cat was let out of the bag on Friday (January 11) when Turner was pictured on a night out with the cast in Liverpool.

Cheryl has never had the easiest time with her love life, so viewers will have to wait and see how long Nate is around for and whether she'll finally get some happiness.

Bronagh Waugh, who plays Cheryl, spoke to Digital Spy about Nate in her last interview with us in October.

She said at the time: "I think it was very sad that their relationship ended up fizzling to nothing! I don't think it would have if Cheryl hadn't walked in on Brendan cutting up a dead body! If that hadn't happened, I think they'd be married by now!"

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.

OMG this spoiler about the Esther storyline:o.

Esther's liver has been seriously damanged, the doctors tell Frankie and Jack that she'll need to be put in an induced coma. Esther's oblivious to everything because shes been wired up to all these machines. All she can see is Ruby stood there over her.

Ruby feels no remorse, theres a disturbing moment when Ruby flips out and starts pulling the wires out of Esther's body, screaming and shouting. Esther comes out of her induced coma and is told she needs a liver transplant.

Esther and Tilly have a great bond but when she discovers Tilly saw her at the Folly(the night of the overdose), she turns her back on her. Esther feels most betrayed by Tilly.

'Hollyoaks': Joseph Thompson talks awards, Doctor Browning plots

Hollyoaks often brings in fresh faces, but scheming Doctor Browning has made a bigger impact than most in the past year with a series of memorable storylines.

Originally introduced a year ago to stir up trouble at the hospital, Browning went on to take centre stage in one of the show's biggest plotlines when his intense feelings for Mercedes McQueen led to him murdering Lynsey Nolan.

Viewers have recently seen Browning return to screens to cause more chaos, while in real life, actor Joseph Thompson has made the shortlist for 'Most Popular Newcomer' at the National Television Awards 2013 for his portrayal of the character.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Joseph to hear his reaction to the nomination and Browning's recent antics!

How do you feel about being in the running for 'Most Popular Newcomer'?
"It's massive and I just feel really overwhelmed, to be honest. The support is great and it means so much to know that I'm on the shortlist because people have voted. I'm so grateful to the fans who have taken the time to vote, and I'm just excited and very flattered to be there.

"It's also really nice for the show to be up for an award, too. Hollyoaks is a really great place to work and an exciting place to be, so it's important that it's represented there in the 'Best Soap' category. Emmett Scanlan is also in the running for 'Serial Drama Performance' and I think he's so brilliant in the show. I hope to God that he gets the send-off that he deserves and gets that award.

"I'm also just really excited to be going to the ceremony, as well, as it should be a good night!"

How do you rate your chances of winning the prize?
"I genuinely have no idea what to expect! I don't know how the numbers and votes will add up, as there are three other really strong nominees there. I'm flattered to be in such good company. I was delighted to be shortlisted and I'm happy with that. I haven't really thought about winning, as I'm just happy to be going!"

You've had a lot of big scenes on Hollyoaks, but do any stand out as ones that you're particularly proud of?
"I feel really lucky as I think Browning is such a brilliantly written and devised character. He's so fun to play. I loved working with Rob Norbury and Karen Hassan, and of course, it's so great working with Jen Metcalfe too.

"I really enjoyed those scenes just before Browning was arrested, where he was trying to persuade Mercedes to run away with him. They were so fun to play. Since I've been back, the new material has been brilliant and it's a real treat to play such a complex character. I hope that people enjoy watching him and find Browning hard to work out."

You joined the show for quite a short story with Lynsey and Mercedes at the hospital last year. Did you ever imagine then that Browning would still be around a year later?
"Not at all! When I came in, it was just for seven or eight episodes and it was really good fun. Even when I got the pages to read at the audition, I could see that Browning was a fun character and something seemed to click straight away. I got on well with Karen and Jen from the start and had a really great time.

"I was really pleased to come back for three more months in the summer, and every time the opportunity came to go back, I jumped at it. I'm really happy to be involved, especially as there's big changes happening at Hollyoaks and a lot of exciting storylines about to drop."

Are you surprised that Browning has a fanbase after everything he's done?
"I am on one hand and I'm not on the other! It's very difficult for me to be objective about it, but I think often on TV and soaps, you get some bad guys who come into a show and are just 'bad'. I always thought Browning was written a bit differently to that. He's capable of absolutely anything, but the writing is so well-justified when it comes to what he does.

"Browning is a character who sees the world in a different way. He's got this psychotic logic, but then I hope people can see why he's doing what he's doing, even if it's still not right!

"To be honest, I thought there was going to be a massive backlash when Browning came back into the show after everything that happened with Lynsey. I just hope that people love to watch it. If they love to hate me, I'm okay with that - as long as they want to watch!"

Do you think Browning would ever kill again?
"He's capable of anything! It's an exciting and dangerous situation that he's already got away with murder. He's already got serious issues with the way that he's so egotistical and arrogant - he thinks he can get away with anything. You'll have to wait and see, as anything can happen!"

Has Browning felt any guilt about lying to Myra over her health?
"I just don't think he's wired the same way as other people! There were definitely moments when he realised what he'd unleashed and how upset Myra was. Overall, though, he'd say that he did that for the right reasons. He did it for Mercedes and to re-establish her relationship with Myra, so she gets her mum back.

"That plan has worked, so it's all justified in Browning's eyes. There might be a little bit of guilt, but he only did it for Mercedes and what's best for her."

Next week, Browning's boss Davies promises not to suspend him for what he's done - but only in return for one night with Mercedes… How does Browning react?
"This is a real crunch point for Browning. He'll do anything to get what he wants and it normally works. He's a high-flyer career-wise and I'm sure he's screwed a few people over on the way. But now suddenly he has Mercedes, who he's completely obsessed with. It's either Mercedes or his career, which he's worked hard for.

"It's a real sleaze-off between Browning and Davies! If you thought Browning was sleazy, wait until you see this guy. Davies thinks he's a master, so Browning is getting a taste of his own medicine and it's really interesting to see how that plays out.

"Mercedes offers to go along with Davies's offer, and I think this is why the relationship between her and Browning is so fun - neither of them can get a grip on what the other one is going to do. He can't control her and she does her own thing.

"It gets pretty desperate for Browning as Mercedes finds herself in danger, and it's interesting to see him out of his comfort zone. He's a real control freak, but what you're about to see is him losing that power."

Are Browning and Mercedes soul mates?
"That's certainly how Browning sees it! I think he's genuine with that. Because he's so manipulative, it's sometimes hard to tell whether he means what he says. But with Mercedes, he's completely in love with her and fascinated by her.

"In short, Browning has met his match and that's a really thrilling battle to have. He thinks he's found someone who can make life exciting, when usually he's used to wrapping people around his little finger."

Through the 'Who killed Lynsey?' storyline last year, did you know all along that Browning was the culprit?
"They wanted to keep it so secret, so very little information was released to any of the cast. I knew that I was an option all along and it was discussed in detail how and why that might happen. So I was prepared for that, but they kept it so close to their chests.

"It was an amazing success how they kept it a secret, and it wasn't long before I filmed the scenes that I knew for definite that Browning was the killer."

Are you used to playing the bad guy?
"I've been quite lucky, as I've played all types of character. I've played a couple of bad guys, and I've played a couple of sleazy and arrogant womanisers as well!

"But I hadn't played a bad guy for a while before this, so playing Browning is really fun. My history is mainly in theatre, so it's great to be getting a good chance to work on a character on screen. I'm enjoying playing the baddie!"

Emmett Scanlan: "I'll still have Hollyoaks on my Sky Plus"

Emmett Scanlan has claimed that he will still tune into Hollyoaks after his departure.

Scanlan confirmed that he would be leaving the soap earlier this month, after two and a half years playing Brendan Brady. He will film his final scenes this month.

According to PA, Scanlan said that he will "miss" Brendan, commenting: "Two and a half years I've spent immersed in Brendan Brady. I spend more time with Brendan Brady than I do with Emmett - it's six days a week, 14 hours a day so when I get home to be Emmett I'm usually slapping on a box set and falling asleep.

"But of course I'm going to miss him - he's a touchy, unpredictable fruitcake. It's hard to let go of characters you've invested in so much."

He also revealed that while it is the "right time" to leve the soap, he will remain a fan. "I'll have [Hollyoaks] on Sky Plus because I've got a lot of friends that are about to hit some storylines that are dark, properly dark. The show no doubt is going to keep getting stronger and stronger," he said.

Scanlan promised that fans will not be disappointed with Brendan's final storyline, which he described as "epic".

Over on Hollyoaks, Ste Hay and Brendan Brady are in for a surprise when Doug Carter arrives back in the village.

Doug (PJ Brennan) jetted off home to America late last year after realising that he had to let go of his relationship with Ste, but surprisingly, he seems happier than ever upon his return. Is Doug over Ste?

Doug's return isn't the only thing that Brendan (Emmett Scanlan) has to deal with, as he is still struggling to cope with his abusive father Seamus's presence in the village.

Unable to control his anger, Brendan loses his temper when Liam accidentally smashes Leah's school project. He also finds himself in an argument with Mitzeee at Chez Chez, which leads to a shock confession from Brendan about his childhood abuse.

Later, when Mitzeee is interviewing for new barmen at the club, a ruthless Brendan gets rid of every candidate apart from newcomer Kevin (Elliot Balchin).

It looks like Kevin has landed himself the job - but as he later spies on Brendan and Ste from afar and reports back to someone, it seems that he may have an ulterior motive for being in the village.

Salman the point of Kevin is... He is spying for the returning Walker, who is involved in Brendan's exit storyline. It times with Carl coming back joining forces with Mitzeee too seeking justice for Riley's death.

Hollyoaks Relief all round for viewers who want Esther's bullies to get their comeuppance - magazine reports have revealed that the week beginning Monday, February 4 will be a big one as Ruby and Sinead's guilt is revealed.

Ruby has been tipped to face "grave danger" herself in the episodes, but will there be justice for Esther?

Glad there will be a comeuppance for Ruby and Sinead, justice for Esther and that everyone finally finds out the turmoil that poor Esther has gone through.

HO can't let them two get off easily and they need to show just how badly their actions have affected Esther. I am glad that the storyline is trying to convince more bullying victims to come forward and seek help too, it has been a compelling storyline and hard to watch at times but I actually think HO does these kind of things better than the top 3 soaps.

Jazmine Franks has been amazing as Esther too, plus Anna Shaffer and Stephanie Davis and everyone else involved in the storyline. Anna and Steph got some OTT abuse on Twitter which isn't fair when they are doing their job and are not bullies in real life, they are lovely and HO isn't real so it's a shame some people cannot seperate reality from fiction!

Monday

Tilly is disgusted by Ruby and Sinead's heartlessness towards Esther. She also hates Jen for what she's made her become and decides to tell the truth - the whole truth! When Mr. Keeler spots the sixth formers arguing he summons them all to his office and suspends one of them...

Tilly is shocked when he questions her about harassing Miss Gilmore and she gets expelled. She swears to make sure Jen gets exactly what she deserves, but can Jen stop her?

Meanwhile, George is concerned about Phoebe and urges her to tell someone when she opens up about Davies. She attempts to tell Jacqui, but feels pushed out by a large Theresa-shaped crisis!. Will she ever fit in?

Elsewhere, Brendan helps Leah with her school project but there is trouble brewing when Seamus joins them. And will Ste lie to Amy about Doug?

Tuesday

Liam accidentally smashes Leah's project and Brendan can't control his anger anymore, just as Doug returns - bad timing! Ste is shocked to hear Doug's back in the village. They finally come face to face and Doug seems happier than ever. Will Ste regret his decision?

Phoebe is struggling to be heard in the McQueens. When she is suspended from college, she tries to hide it from the family but John Paul finds out and offers his help...

Back at the McQueens, there's another cat out of the bag when Jacqui is left reeling after she discovers her Mum's secret!

Elsewhere, Mitzeee pushes Brendan on his past, and at Chez Chez an argument with Mitzeee leads to a shock confession from him about his childhood. With the truth laying heavy on Jen's conscious, can she bring herself to expose it and risk her career?

Wednesday

Brendan is shaken up after Doug's surprise arrival and worries about his relationship with Ste. Later, it's Ste's turn to be rattled when Brendan questions his commitment but can he reveal the truth to Amy?

Following yesterday's revelations, Jacqui rallies the McQueens into action but is shocked when Carmel turns up with a disastrous plan. They all scramble to pull together as much cash as they can, before the bailiffs arrive and are relieved when Carmel announces she's got some savings. But the dizzy blonde's got other plans for the dosh...

Meanwhile, Theresa proves she's more than just a pretty face, but has Dodger got more than he bargained for?

Also, Ash and Barney plan a party for Will, but there's a spanner in the works when they hear he won't be allowed out of hospital.

Thursday

Ash and Barney are still determined to plan a party for Will. When they hear he won't be allowed out of hospital, they decide to break him out instead. They disguise him as an old woman and escape with him in a wheelchair. Back at the boat, Will realises it's not exactly wheelchair friendly...

Mitzeee is interviewing for new barmen, but when Brendan gets rid of everyone apart from newcomer Kevin, it looks like he's got the job. Kevin texts 'Dad', prompting an immediate call back. Who is is?

Phoebe continues to feel pushed out. She steals 50 pounds from the cash tin and goes to The Dog to tell Jacqui she's leaving. However, all hell breaks loose when Rob gropes the teen and they end up in a bar brawl. Will the McQueens end up in a prison cell together?

Also, Dirk has a bright idea to raise some money for a new place...

Friday

Will's overwhelmed with the surprise party at The Dog - all attention on him again! He invites Texas, but the whole pub turns against her and she leaves. Inside the pub, it's getting out of control. Ash and the rugby team spin Will around on the dance floor as the McQueens start a bar brawl and get arrested.

Ash is concerned when Will goes missing in the chaos. The Savages race around, trying to find missing Will. We see an abandoned wheelchair on its side, but no occupant...

It's up to Jim McGinn to save the McQueens again when they're locked in a prison cell, but he's frustrated when they all take the blame for the brawl. Jim gets them all off the hook, but they return home to a nasty surprise...

Meanwhile, as John Paul struggles with the pressure of being a job-seeking single parent, a shock visit turns his world upside down.

Also, Mr. Keeler is sacked when the governors realise how much he has failed the school and Esther.

Hollyoaks star PJ Brennan has revealed that his character Doug Carter won't be hoping to win back ex-lover Ste Hay when he returns to the village.

Doug arrives back next week and comes face-to-face with Ste for the first time since their split in December.

Ste reunited with Brendan Brady after his relationship with Doug came to an end last month, and it seems that the trio's love triangle is now finally over.

Brennan told Inside Soap: "Doug's primary reason for returning is the business that he runs with Ste. There were a lot of dark moments for Doug last year, but the one positive thing to come out of it all was the success of the deli.

"So while Doug left a lot of bad things behind, he turned his back on some good things too."

On Ste's relationship with Brendan, the actor continued: "Whatever his opinion on the situation, Doug decides to keep a respectful distance from it all. He's certainly not pining after Ste any more, and makes it clear that he's only interested in sorting out the business.

"The time Doug spent in the States has done him the world of good. He left Hollyoaks at his lowest point, but Doug's much more level-headed when he returns - and 100% more comfortable being himself."

Brennan explained that while there is still "part of him that still loves Ste", Doug is no longer trying to hold on to their romantic connection.

He added: "Over the next few weeks, the audience will see Doug re-establish old connections and also make some new ones. A few new faces have turned up in the village while Doug's been away, and one or two of them might pique his interest."

'Hollyoaks': James Atherton expects dramatic Will, Texas reveal

Hollyoaks actor James Atherton has warned that there will be "hell to pay" if the truth about his character Will Savage's fall is ever revealed.

Will recently resorted to shocking measures to manipulate Texas Longford (Bianca Hendrickse-Spendlove), tricking her into thinking that she had pushed him down the Chez Chez stairs.

Although Will has paid a heavy price for his antics as he will now need to use a wheelchair following the 'accident', he has turned the situation to his advantage as he tries to get closer to Texas again.

Speaking to PA, however, Atherton admitted that he expects Texas to discover the truth in the end.

He explained: "Will basically uses the fact that she thinks she pushed him down the stairs to manipulate the situation. He wheedles his way into her life one way or another, and out of guilt Texas reciprocates to him and panders to him - and he keeps pushing his luck to see how far he can get.

"It all kind of spirals out of control. It's been really nice to play this manipulation of her, and I think we're just going to keep pushing it as far as we can.

"I think Texas will probably find out eventually and there'll be absolute hell to pay."
