'Hollyoaks': Fabrizio Santino teases new romance, Ziggy future

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/20/618x620/soaps-hollyoaks-fabrizio-santino-ziggy-roscoe.jpg

For our latest Hollyoaks interview, Digital Spy chatted to newcomer Fabrizio Santino about life playing Ziggy Roscoe.

Ziggy's flirtatious behaviour has already made a quick impact on some of the local ladies, but viewers will see that one girl in particular catches his eye in the next few weeks.

Here, Fabrizio tells us about the future romance for Ziggy and his time at Hollyoaks so far.

How well have you settled in at Hollyoaks?
"I think I've settled in very well and it's all going great. I'm enjoying my time here and everyone has made me feel welcome. I'm really liking the character of Ziggy and I'm having a lot of fun.

"I've moved up to Liverpool for the role and that's been very exciting. I'm living with two of my on-screen brothers - Charlie Clapham and Alfie Sykes - and they're fantastic to be with as well. Liverpool's a nice city, although I still don't know it very well! I do miss London terribly, but it feels good to be here for work and it makes me feel like I'm growing up!"

How did you feel when you finally got the role? We've heard from the other Roscoe boys that it was a long audition process!
"Yeah, the audition process was massive. To begin with, I had no idea that there were over 2,000 boys auditioning for the role, but it did become quite competitive. I knew that I really had to fight for this. I had four call-backs so it was quite a tough challenge, but I knew that I had a chance after the fourth one.

"When you've fought for something so hard and you end up getting it, it's just a massive relief. I was completely overjoyed and utterly pleased. It's good to know that you've done well as it raises your confidence for the future. If the truth be known, us actors are very sensitive and it can be tough to get rejected, so to be successful with a role is a big confidence boost."

We know that you've had other roles, but does this feel like your big break?
"Yeah, as it's very challenging and every single day is different from the other work that I've done. In the past, I've done bits of filming where I've been working for a week or two, or even just a few days, but this is literally every day.

"Because it's a regular job, I'm getting to learn more about myself and my acting ability. It's the biggest challenge I've had, absolutely."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/21/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family.jpg

We've all seen Ziggy for ourselves, but how do you describe him to people?
"I think Ziggy is a lovely boy. He's joyful, charming, cheeky and loyal to his family. He's also a bit of a fantasist and a bit of a dreamer! It's also probably fair to say that he's quite vain as he takes pride in his appearance.

"Ziggy loves the chit-chat and he loves his family, too. I think he's a nice guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. He's not the loser type, he's a lover and a fighter. He does what he can, he's got his aim in life and that's to end up living on the French or Italian Riviera. Ziggy aims high!"

What kind of a reaction have you seen from the Hollyoaks fans?
"It's been fantastic. I'm always very, very overwhelmed because there always seem to be fans waiting outside the studios who love the character of Ziggy. I was a little bit concerned at first at how people might react, but I think people love the charming, warm and cheeky sides of him. I'm getting really nice feedback and if I can keep it consistent, hopefully I can't go wrong."

What's coming up for Ziggy storyline-wise?
"There's going to be a lot going on with Ziggy and his brothers. There's always a drama at the garage!

"In terms of Ziggy on his own, there's one lady in the village who he really falls for in the next few weeks. He becomes smitten with her and he starts constantly trying to get her attention. She's also trying to get his attention, so there's a lot of romance in the air and some intimate scenes here and there. But you'll have to wait and see how it all develops.

"You'll also see that a bit of conflict develops between Ziggy's brothers and the girl in question, but it's nothing that Ziggy can't handle. Whatever Ziggy wants, he'll get!"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x928/soaps-hollyoaks-fabrizio-santino-ziggy-roscoe.jpg

Ziggy is known for falling in and out of love quite quickly. Could this new love interest be the one who changes that?
"Could she be the one? Like I said, Ziggy is a dreamer so in the moment he'll probably think that she's the one, but give it half an hour and he'll see someone else and probably fall for them! That's just how he is - he can't say no. If someone approaches Ziggy, who knows what he'd do given half the chance? I have no idea how Ziggy thinks from one minute to the next!"

Is there potential there for Ziggy to be a good boyfriend, though?
"I do think that if Ziggy was to really fall in love with someone, he'd definitely be a great boyfriend. Ziggy is still growing up and he can sometimes play the field but maybe one day somebody will get him good. That's when he'll really fall in love, settle down and you'll see a different side to him."

We've seen lots of comedy from Ziggy so far. Would you like to explore a more serious storyline further down the line?
"Definitely. I do like the comedy moments that they've given me. I've never really considered myself to be a comic actor, but the stuff they've given me has been great.

"I would like to see a darker side to Ziggy at some point. Maybe there could be a point where Ziggy plummets and things go wrong. I think there'd be a good storyline there. But I do think that's a lot further down the line. Right now you need to see Ziggy at his best, and then it makes it more dramatic when you see the other side of him."

Are Charlie and Alfie good housemates?
"They're great housemates - they're fantastic! They're very tidy, very helpful and we all gel very well. We've got a lot in common even though our ages are different. Boys will always be boys no matter how big or small you are, so we all get on very well!"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/20/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family-arrival.jpg

Is it strange to have Charlie younger than you in real life but older on screen?
"Well, I think in work I respect the fact that Freddie is older than Ziggy, so I play down to Charlie in the scenes. But obviously out of work, Charlie knows where he stands with his older brother! (Laughs.) I think he'd quite honestly tell you that himself!"

What is Gillian Taylforth like to work with?
"Fantastic. As I always say to anyone, she's one of my own. We come from a very similar culture and a very similar upbringing, as we both come from inner city London. I'm Peckham and she's Islington, so she's very authentic and so am I.

"I think when you get two authentic Cockneys together, there are fireworks. Gillian is a cracking actress as well and we gelled straight away. I've actually just done a scene with her and we had some great feedback that we work very well together. I think that's because we have the same background."

Are there any cast members you'd love to work with more?
"I wouldn't mind working more with Nick Pickard, as I think that'd be a good one. He's been on the show for so long that he knows it back to front, so he's very confident and a very good actor. I could see myself doing some scenes with him.

"It's the same with Ashley Taylor Dawson. I've done bits and bobs with Ashley, but a nice clash or a nice storyline would be great. Maybe Ziggy could also spark a friendship or conflict with Dodger, as it's nice to break away from your family and explore something new."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/618x459/soaps-hollyoaks-3623-3.jpg

Is there any pressure to stay in shape given some of your scenes so far?
"I don't think there's any pressure at all. If you take regular exercise anyway and you want to keep in shape as an individual, then you'll find your own discipline and do it. Speaking for myself, I'm very disciplined at the gym anyway and if I know I've got to take my top off the next day, I'll work just a little bit harder!"

Do you share any similarities with Ziggy?
"There are a few similarities, absolutely. I've always been a bit of a dreamer too, and a few of those dreams have come true! I also take pride in my appearance I'm into fashion too. I'm into men's tailoring and grooming, so I do share some similarities, but there are also some major differences too."

'Hollyoaks' to air dark twist in Sinead O'Connor storyline

Hollyoaks teenager Sinead O'Connor will be tempted into prostitution next week, Digital Spy can confirm.

Viewers have already seen Sinead (Stephanie Davis) start a career in 'clipping' - seducing men and stealing their money without sleeping with them.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/26/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-stephanie-davis-sinead-o-connor.jpg

sleazy policeman DS Trent.

The story twist plays out after Sinead chooses DS Trent as the next target in her clipping scam, failing to realise that he's part of the police force.

The pair head to a hotel room together, but when Trent catches Sinead rifling through his wallet, he reveals his true identity. Sinead fears that he's there to arrest her, but instead he shows his true colours by propositioning her with £200.

Although it's a tough decision to make, Sinead ultimately accepts the offer and sleeps with DS Trent.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/24/618x452/soaps-hollyoaks-3635-1.jpg

Show bosses have promised that the storyline will be explored sensitively. Sinead makes the difficult choice as she is desperate for money and to provide for her baby daughter Katy, but as the plot plays out, the dangers of what she is doing will become apparent to all.

Viewers will also be directed to various help and support organisations, via the official Hollyoaks website, which offer advice to anyone in a similar position to Sinead.

Interesting!

'Hollyoaks': Lucy Dixon talks Tilly, Esther and new 'Later' series

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/28/618x590/soaps-hollyoaks-lucy-dixon-tilly-evans-2.jpg

Hollyoaks fans can expect testing times for Tilly Evans's relationship with Esther Bloom this week.

Just as the couple are planning to spend the night together for the first time, Esther's grandmother Frankie starts to interfere, fearing that their romance is moving too quickly.

Here, Lucy Dixon - who plays Tilly - chats to Digital Spy about the storyline and what else is coming up for her character.

Are you pleased that Tilly and Esther have finally got together?
"I am! People might remember that Tilly was introduced to the show in a special week in Abersoch in 2011. That's when she first met Esther and they had a summer romance. It was all very lovely, but then Tilly was supposed to be moving back down to London and didn't want to take it any further as she thought they wouldn't see each other again.

"We got a lot of interest from the fans through that week, which was really nice. To get so much attention from my first week on screen was brilliant. When Tilly and Esther finally got together second time round, it was great because the people who tweeted us in 2011 got back in touch, saying that they love the relationship and they hope it lasts."

Did you always expect that the Tilly and Esther dynamic would be revisited?
"Like the audience, I was in the dark and I wasn't sure! When I was filming my scenes with Amy Downham who played Jen, I didn't have a clue what would happen next. Even when it came to the Tilly and Jen relationship, I really wasn't sure which path they wanted to take with it.

"However, while all that was happening, I did still keep having odd scenes with Jazz [Franks, who plays Esther]. The two characters have always been quite close and there's always been something there. Particularly when Tilly was going through her heartbreak with Jen, Esther was there for her."

What can we expect this week when Frankie starts to interfere?
"Tilly is a little bit frustrated by that. The relationship has been such a slow-burner, but now it's really forming into something as they're official now. They're just about to have a passionate, romantic night together as Ruby has snuck them upstairs to The Dog flat, when Frankie bursts in. Tilly is a little bit annoyed to say the least, and especially so when Frankie wants to split them up. But you'll have to wait and see whether Tilly and Esther can make it through this…"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/26/618x436/soaps-hollyoaks-3642-3.jpg

It's been announced that you'll be in Hollyoaks Later this year. Are you excited about it?
"Massively! When I found out, I was literally jumping for joy. I used to watch Hollyoaks before I was in it, and I remember watching the Later series with Steph Dean's cliff-top showdown. I also watched last year's which was all to do with Brendan and Cheryl's pasts.

"Watching it at the time, I was thinking, 'I wish I was in Hollyoaks Later because it looks incredible!' The camera, the writing and the locations are all brilliant. I can't give too much away, but the scripts this year are fantastic."

Have you started filming it yet?
"My strand hasn't started yet, so I'm really excited to get going on it! It's going to be brilliant and I can't wait for the fans to see it. You'll get to see a different side of all the characters involved, so it's going to be very exciting."

A lot of fans seem keen to see more of Tilly! Does she have some busy times ahead?
"I hope so! I've been getting a lot of tweets about that, and it's lovely to hear that people miss you when you're not on screen. I think the fans will be happy with what's coming up. When I received the scripts for what I'm currently filming - which will be on screen around September or October - I had a really big smile on my face. There's some great stuff coming up and it's going to be a different side of Tilly that people haven't seen yet."

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/14/618x447/soaps_hollyoaks_3321_2.jpg

The Jen/Tilly - aka 'Jelly' - relationship had a big reaction. Are you proud of the impact it had?
"I'm hugely proud. I almost can't believe it myself. There are so many people who really invested in the Jen and Tilly relationship and I even get people tweeting me today saying, 'I wish Jen could come back!' and 'I was gutted with how it ended!'

"Some people are really vocal about it and they don't think Tilly should be with Esther. There are fans who think Jen should come back and have a wonderful romance with Tilly again. It's so sweet that people did invest so much time in it, because that's your goal as an actress. Myself and Amy were over the moon with the reactions we had from everybody.

"Unfortunately, the relationship was illegal because Jen was Tilly's teacher. Because of that, the producer and the writers were very careful with how the story arc went. We had to show the relationship turn sour, because ultimately they couldn't be together forever."

Has life changed much on set since so many of the sixth formers left last year?
"It's definitely a lot quieter now that the sixth formers aren't there! There would always be at least seven or eight of us all filming together every day, which meant there was a real buzz and energy. Now there's usually two or three of us, so it has been a big change and a big difference.

"But it has been exciting, because Tilly has stepped up a gear and we're going to see her move onto other storylines and interact with different people. I do miss the guys so much and I caught up with some of them recently. It was great to see them, because we all get along so well together."

'Hollyoaks' Patrick Blake to turn nasty with Maxine Minniver again

Hollyoaks' Patrick Blake will frighten girlfriend Maxine Minniver once again when he lashes out at her in an angry temper.

Viewers will have seen Patrick (Jeremy Sheffield) turn nasty with Maxine (Nikki Sanderson) a few weeks ago when he threatened her for embarrassing him.

Patrick's latest outburst will happen after he takes Maxine out for dinner, despite the fact she has already made plans with Ash.

Over dinner and in a bid to fit in with the Blakes, Maxine jokes with Dodger and Sienna about Patrick's OCD. However, she is unaware of how uncomfortable Patrick is during the conversation.

Back at the flat later on, Patrick makes Maxine very aware of how she made him feel. He then starts throwing things out of the kitchen to Maxine's horror.

'Hollyoaks' Dan Tetsell: 'Jim McGinn role was a surprise'

Hollyoaks star Dan Tetsell has admitted that he was shocked to land a regular role on the soap.

The actor arrived on screen last November as quirky lawyer Jim McGinn, who has since become a permanent fixture in the village by buying into the club and dating Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna).

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/14/618x564/soaps-hollyoaks-dan-tetsell-jim-mcginn.jpg

Tetsell told Inside Soap of his Hollyoaks success: "It was quite a surprise to get the call. I'd auditioned previously for the part of a lowlife businessman who tried to pick up Mercedes in a hotel, and I didn't get that.

"I went away thinking, 'I look like a lowlife businessman, surely?' But when the role of Jim came up and I got it, I thought, 'I'm never going to get this offer again - I've got to do it!'"

He continued: "I watched the first ever [Hollyoaks] episode, which dates me horribly I suspect! My flatmate from that time is very excited that Nick Pickard is still in it - frankly, that scored me big points with my friends. They all think it's absolutely hilarious that I'm now hanging around with all these attractive, beautiful people!"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/28/618x693/soaps-hollyoaks-dan-tetsell-jim-mcginn_1.jpg

Tetsell is now hoping to share more screen time with Joe Tracini, who plays Dennis Savage.

He said: "We know each other from the sitcom world. He once auditioned for a show that I'd written, but it didn't get made, so neither of us won on that one! When I told people that I'd got the job on Hollyoaks, they assumed I'd be playing Dennis's dad."

'Hollyoaks' Stephen Billington: 'Fans will keep liking Danny'

Hollyoaks newcomer Stephen Billington has insisted that his character's secrets won't make him unpopular with viewers.

The actor arrived on screen this week as Danny Lomax, a new love interest for John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).

Show bosses have already warned that there are "a lot of skeletons" in Danny's closet which could make a big impact on the local residents in future stories.

Billington told Hollyoaks' official website: "Danny has a whole side to him that's completely different to me. It's a side that will be revealed over time, so I'm not about to give any spoilers.

"You'll still like him, but he's much more complex than he first appears. Aren't we all?"

He also described Danny as "charming, fun, caring, complex and secretive".

Billington previously played villain Greg Kelly on Coronation Street.

'Hollyoaks' boss Bryan Kirkwood shares show gossip, teasers

In our fourth producer interview of the summer, Digital Spy caught up with Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood to hear about his plans for the soap's future.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/28/M/soaps-hollyoaks-executive-producer-bryan-kirkwood.jpg

After a strong 12 months for the show - including five wins at the British Soap Awards - Bryan gave us an exclusive insight into what fans can expect next.

Read on below to find out about plans for new characters connected to a Hollyoaks favourite, the upcoming 18th anniversary and much more!

We've seen lots of positive changes to Hollyoaks in the past year. What are your thoughts on the show's current state of play?
"I think we're in a strong position, as the audience seems to have responded well to the changes that we've made. I was conscious of not 're-branding' or 're-launching' the show again.

"For me, the formula is simple - it's finding the right mix of big soap stories, rites of passage teen stories, along with big, heartfelt love stories. If we strike that right balance and broaden Hollyoaks out to a family show, rather than focusing on one age group over another, I think that's when we get the best response from the audience."

Do you have any particular aims for the next few months? Is there anything that you feel the show should be doing more or less of?
"It's always a work in progress. Running one of these shows means that you never get to the finish line - there's always something else to oversee. Regarding the three types of stories that I've mentioned, sometimes we veer a little bit too far into one territory over another, but I think we're getting it right most of the time."

Are you approaching Hollyoaks exactly the same way second time around, or has the audience expectation changed?
"I think the audience expectation keeps getting higher, which is as it should be, as it really keeps us on our toes.

"I've done this job for long enough now to be able to draw from my own experience, and I'm lucky that the team around me right now are amongst the best people that I've ever worked with. I believe that we've currently got the most talented Hollyoaks writing, script and story team that there's ever been."

Can you tell us which characters and storylines will be most prominent over the summer?
"It's going to be a huge summer at Hollyoaks, with all of our old favourites in the thick of the action. We'll have Ste facing one of the biggest challenges of his life as his mum, who has been diagnosed with cancer, asks him to help her die.

"We've also got Darren and Nancy in a great, juicy storyline with Sienna as the cuckoo in their nest. I'm keen for that storyline not to be seen as just a love triangle. Sienna wants far more than just Darren - she wants all the colour and the chaos of the Osborne family. As Nancy has been foolish enough to invite Sienna back into her home, this story is going to explode all over the summer.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-kieron-richardson-ste-hay.jpg

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-anna-passey-sienna-blake.jpg

"Elsewhere, we're going to see the McQueens in peril from Doctor Browning as he focuses in on Myra as the threat to his relationship with Mercedes. That really kicks off with the current stalker mystery, which is going to lead into massive consequences for every single member of the family.

"We're also going to see much more of Tony's cancer storyline, which is playing out beautifully. I'm so proud of Nick Pickard and his work so far. That story will help create a new super-family with the Hutchinsons and the O'Connors coming together at last - and watch out for when Tony finally does tell Diane his heartbreaking news…"

Are you planning to bring back any more faces from the past?
"I've had a few conversations recently, but it's too early to say whether we're going to pursue any more returns. We do have a couple of exits coming up over the next few months and a couple of new characters too, but in terms of returnees, you'll just have to wait and see."

Lots of our readers were wondering whether we'd ever see Silas again. Would you explore his storyline any further?
"The Silas story was one of the Hollyoaks success stories of the past few years and it played out brilliantly for the programme. For me, it felt like the right time when Silas exited for the second time last summer, but never say never. I'd be foolish to rule it out completely when Jeff Rawle was so fantastic in the part."

Can you tell us anything about the new characters you have planned?
"Ste is undoubtedly one of our most important characters and I'm so impressed with everything Kieron has done in the role. He's become a real star in the past few years. I was conscious of the fact that Ste was languishing on his own with no family around him, so that's something we're going to change by bringing in Ste's sisters. Ste's story with Pauline is just the start of a massive journey for the character.

"The Roscoes have got off to a great start as a big, male force at the heart of the show, so I'm eager to bring in an equally-strong female force to become the engine of Hollyoaks for the next few years. We're just casting the characters now and I'm really looking forward to seeing Ste playing alongside these girls."

We've seen less of the university element of the show recently, so will this be picked up again?
"Absolutely. Hollyoaks started as a university show and it will always have HCC as part of the fictional world. We won't see the halls again, but we're introducing a filthy knackered old student house, which one of our residents will become the surprise owner of. That will become our new student digs in September. George, Tilly and newcomer Jade will become our new Freshers. Rather than bring in a whole group of new students, we want to see characters we know and love evolve into the next generation."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/12/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-steven-roberts-george-smith.jpg

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/28/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-lucy-dixon-tilly-evans-2.jpg

Are you doing anything special for the show's 18th birthday in October?
"I'm so emotionally invested in this show, so I am extremely proud we have reached this milestone. Hollyoaks Later will transmit in October and the series will see the return of Kurt, Finn and Dom. It will be a celebration of Hollyoaks past and present.

"Alongside that, a lot of the stories we're playing right now will come to an explosive climax. There'll also be life-changing events for Tony to play out around the anniversary."

Can you tell us anything more about Hollyoaks Later this year?
"The very talented producer Jane Steventon is back working on the new series after last year's success. Jane did a brilliant job in rebooting Hollyoaks Later, making it feel darker and more credible. We're filming the five episodes at the moment and you can expect to see Tony in his own rites of passage story as he looks into his uncertain future, alongside the return of the much-loved characters that I've mentioned.

"Playing alongside that will be a huge storyline involving our current teenagers. Tilly, Esther, Callum and Holly will be in a rip-roaring plot as they all find danger in a cabin in the woods."

The bus crash helped you to win the 'Spectacular Scene' prize at the Soap Awards this year. Do you have any more stunts in mind?
"We certainly do! As part of our spectacular summer storylines, we have a big stunt which we're actually filming right now. We also have something planned for transmission in the autumn, so there's at least two on the way…"

'Hollyoaks': Extra gossip, teasers from exec producer Bryan Kirkwood

Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood recently caught up with Digital Spy to chat about his future plans for the show.

If you haven't read it yet, don't miss part one of the interview for gossip on new characters, HCC, the 18th anniversary and much more.

Here, Soap Scoop presents part two of the chat, which contains some extra teasers and detail on what's ahead for a number of the characters.

It's been great to see characters like Diane become more prominent this year. Do you think it's important that the older characters are given more screen time?
"Absolutely - that's one big change that I wanted to make to the programme. I really wanted the audience at home to feel that Hollyoaks is a show that the whole family can enjoy. It will always have a teen focus leaning towards the younger characters, but I do believe that we can tell stories with the whole cast.

"It's been a joy to see Diane, Myra, Jack and Frankie in the thick of things. It's also why we brought in Jeremy Sheffield and Gillian Taylforth, as they're two fantastic actors who bring a wealth of experience to their roles.

"To emphasise the broadening out of the show, from the 15th of July the entire cast will be featured in the opening titles. It's about time. We are keeping the current format with the addition of some old and new faces."

Are there any other set changes we should be looking out for?
"We've now got the back of The Dog, which will help us to make better use of the Roscoes' garage and the pub car park. Viewers have seen that Jack and Sandy share a secret, so the new space will help us play the families alongside each other.

"The school will also shortly have a facelift as Patrick unveils the new Hollyoaks High, which helps us to see a lot more of our younger characters like Tom and Holly."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/19/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family.jpg

The fans definitely love spoilers but they also seem to enjoy big shocks, such as when Lynsey was killed off unexpectedly. Are you planning any more unpublicised surprises?
"Definitely. I was really inspired by the way the audience responded to Lynsey's shock death, and I think those moments of surprise are something that Hollyoaks is able to do more effectively than the other soaps. We do have a handful of really juicy surprises which you'll see on screen over the next few months. As a team, we're trying to be a bit cleverer when it comes to holding certain things back."

John Paul's fans are keen to see a lot more of him. Will his big storyline still be happening?
"You can definitely expect to see a lot more of John Paul. It's fair to say that James has had a quieter time of it, but John Paul remains one of our most important characters. With Danny Lomax now in the show, John Paul does finally get his share of the action. His romance with Danny will lead to dark and unexpected consequences for a number of characters."

Doug also has a fanbase but he's become a bit of a supporting character recently. Does he have some good stuff coming up?
"Doug's also had a quiet few months, but with a cast of this size, we're always going to have to look away from certain characters from time to time. I love PJ's work and I think he's done a brilliant job over the past few years. We'll definitely see Doug come back to the forefront of the show."

Can you tell us any more about Sienna's story with Darren and Nancy?
"There are a lot more twists and turns to come. The fact that Sienna also features in Patrick's world hopefully illustrates to the audience that not everything is as it seems.

"While Darren and Nancy are one of our most-loved and most important couples, they're only as interesting as the conflict they're facing. 'Happily ever after' doesn't often work in soaps. I adore what Jess and Ashley have done and want them to be busier than ever."

Some of our readers have pointed out that Hollyoaks is sometimes the soap where crime can go unpunished! Will Browning, Theresa or Will ever get a comeuppance?
"It's a fair point that the crime rate is soaring at the moment! Let's just say that at least one of our criminals will soon be unmasked…"

Are you pleased with how the Roscoes have gone down with viewers, and what are your future plans for them?
"I think that the Roscoes have had a good start in the show. I was very nervous about introducing seven new faces to the village at the same time, but I also knew that Hollyoaks needed a massive injection of new energy following our big departures of recent months. Over the years I've introduced some soap families who have gone down well and some that have gone down not so well, so hopefully I've learned my own lessons from what works and what doesn't.

"With the Roscoes, we've got seven strong actors and seven very different characters. We're already very excited about telling Roscoe stories, and I hope the audience are embracing them. The boys and Gillian are doing well so the Roscoes should be a big part of the show for years to come."

We've noticed fans are really liking Lindsey in particular, so will she have lots more to do?
"She certainly will, as I think Lindsey is right at the heart of the Roscoes' success. Sophie has arrived with such confidence and charisma, which I'm overjoyed by. With the absence of Jacqui, Cheryl and Mitzeee, we knew that we were lacking a strong leading lady with a big heart and a strong moral code."

This time last year the fans wanted to see less of the teens, but now it seems they're calling for them to be used more! What's coming up for them?
"That's been a really surprising but satisfying consequence of the recent changes - seeing how much our audience fell in love with some of our younger artists. I think they got a really hard time at certain points, but we always had talented actors in the younger cast who were doing good work. I'm really pleased that we're now being called on to feature George, Callum, Tilly, Esther, Ruby, Sinead and Phoebe more.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/19/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-jazmine-franks-esther-bloom.jpg

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/17/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-mandip-gill-phoebe-mcqueen-jacqui.jpg

"George, Phoebe and Vincent's beautiful love story will be a big plot over the summer. It's quite unique, as it's a love triangle where nobody's doing anything wrong! It's also an important issue story and a soap first, as it's about the story of a Nigerian asylum seeker who's fleeing persecution for being gay. We are working closely with Stonewall, to ensure a rarely told story gets the audience it deserves. There's tons more to explore with that plot.

"We'll see Tilly and Esther's relationship go in a very unexpected direction in Hollyoaks Later, while Ruby is about to lose her head with an older man.

"Sinead is going to have the year from hell, as karma for all of her wicked acts in the past year! However, coming out of that will be a surprising love story with a knight in shining armour."

What's coming up for Cindy?
"Cindy's been quiet lately, but what I'm delighted to see is her finally grow a heart and be such a support to Tony. We all recognised that Tony and Cindy had probably had too many attempts at being husband and wife, but now they're just good friends. To me their scenes are a highlight of what's on screen right now.

"Cindy has recognised where she's gone wrong with her life in recent years and she will try to turn her life round. But it might just be too little, too late as she finds herself in some enormous trouble."

Dennis, Liberty and the Kanes are characters who we've seen less of recently. Do they have a future in the show?
"I'm thrilled to see Dennis back now and better than ever. He's one of my favourite characters and Joe Tracini lights up the screen. We'll be seeing a lot more of him.

"We will see Liberty make a brief return to the show as she announces she has secured a recording contract and goes off to pursue her dream. Ash, Martha and Callum will all be much busier in the coming months."

Will the Patrick and Maxine story become an abusive partner story?
"Maxine and Patrick are polar opposites, who have found themselves in an unlikely relationship. There have been some early warning signs that Patrick can be quite controlling but is Maxine the woman to change him?"

I liked that interview with Bryan Kirkwood, his love for Hollyoaks is obvious and I like the plans/direction he has for the show and there is lots of good stuff coming up.

The show has been consistent for me this year so far and I hope it keeps getting better!

I am pleased that all of the cast are in the opening credits now, including the older characters now that BK wants to focus on both age groups and families. Some of the shots in the credits are family ones too.

'Hollyoaks' Will Savage plans to kill again

This is the moment when Hollyoaks' Will Savage plans to commit his second murder as he leads Ash Kane to the edge of a cliff.

Will (James Atherton) becomes unnerved next week that Ash (Holly Weston) has been working with Anna (Saskia Wickham) on her placement but hasn't told him about it.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/28/618x416/soaps-hollyoaks-3654-2.jpg

He goes to see Anna and tells her that his girlfriend has been lying to him. Anna is unaware that it's Ash, but she's concerned that this person will meet the same fate as Texas.

Will gives Ash plenty of opportunity to confess but she doesn't. Fearing she is soon going to uncover the truth about Texas Longford's death, Will decides that he needs to silence her for good.

They go for a day trip to the countryside and Will leads Ash to the top of a cliff. As Ash looks out at the scenery, Will stands up behind her, plucking up the courage to kill her.

'Hollyoaks' Sinead O'Connor in danger after setting up client

Hollyoaks' Sinead O'Connor will sink to a new low when she volunteers herself as a mole to work in Trevor's club in an upcoming storyline.

Viewers have already seen Sinead (Stephanie Davis) start a career in 'clipping' - seducing men and stealing their money without sleeping with them.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/19/618x676/soaps-hollyoaks-stephanie-davis-sinead-oconnor-2.jpg

Despite Diane and Tony's pleas for her to come home, Sinead continues to live cash-strapped in Ste's flat.

With money tight, Sinead swallows her pride and agrees to become an escort in order to get some extra money, All About Soap reports.

After doing a 'test-run' for Trevor and entertaining his clients, Ste finds a devastated Sinead sitting down in the shower.

Unable to take any more abuse, she tells Ste that she is going to blackmail her next client to get enough money to run away. After Ste agrees to film her with her client, Sinead nervously gets ready and waits for her target to arrive at the flat.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/24/618x452/soaps-hollyoaks-3635-1.jpg

After the client called Norman turns up, their plan is scuppered when Doug and Tony knock at the door. Ste manages to get rid of them and everything seems to be going to plan when they demand £5,000 from Norman in exchange for their silence.

However, while Sinead is out collecting the cash, Ste goes to visit his ill mum as Trevor turns up at the flat demanding to know what she has been up to.

Oh Sinead you naughty girl:nono:.

'Hollyoaks' Kieron Richardson: 'Ste will never be the same again'

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has said that his character Ste Hay's life will never be the same again after his latest storyline.

It was recently revealed that Ste's ill mum Pauline would reveal that she was dying and desperately needed her son's help.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/618x710/soaps-hollyoaks-kieron-richardson-ste-hay.jpg

Despite there being no love lost between Ste and Pauline, Ste is convinced by Tony, who is suffering from illness himself, to go and visit her. Once he is there, he discovers just how much his mum is suffering, and helps her move out of his childhood home and into the council flat.

During an emotional chat between the pair about Ste's father, Pauline asks Ste to help her die.

Speaking about Ste's reaction to the news, Richardson told All About Soap: "It makes him feel completely numb. She's gone from telling Ste she loves him in one breath, to asking him to kill her in another.

"Pauline's lied so much in the past, so Ste needs to question whether she really does love him or whether she's just using him.

"He turns to his ex, Doug, for some advice about what he should do."

However, Doug surprisingly tells Ste that he should consider Pauline's request and it helps Ste reach a decision.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/16/618x407/soaps-hollyoaks-ste-hay-is-uncontrollable.jpg

Richardson said: "Doug's reaction comes as a bit of a shock to Ste because he just assumes he'll say, 'Don't be so ridiculous!' But the advice from Doug helps him decide whether he should assist his mum in her suicide.

"If he does go through with it, it will be because Pauline has manipulated him into doing it. Ste is just so vulnerable at the moment. Anything could happen."

Speaking about the future for Ste, Richardson added: "Without giving too much away, he's going to be very busy and there is going to be lots of tears and snot. There's going to be a big Ste explosion.

"This has definitely been one of my favourite storylines to date and quite challenging for me. What happens in these weeks is just the start of the story.

"There is a lot more to come and Ste's life will never be the same again."

Poor Ste:(, but I am looking forward to more of this storyline.

I did think it was Clare at first until yesterdays E4 when Dr B was talking about the note that he got ''I know what you did'' and Jim said whoever done it could have been referring to the film ''I Know What You Did Last Summer'', which then it became clear it was him.

'Hollyoaks': Dan Tetsell talks Jim McGinn's stalker secret

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/14/618x564/soaps-hollyoaks-dan-tetsell-jim-mcginn.jpg

Hollyoaks delivered another surprising storyline twist in its latest episode as Jim McGinn was revealed as Doctor Browning's stalker.

Following weeks of mystery surrounding the identity of Browning's tormentor, tonight's Channel 4 airing (July 22) showed that Jim is secretly scheming against his villainous business partner.

Jim is carrying out the mischief on the orders of Trevor Royle. With Jim working as Trevor's barrister, his aim is to help the bad boy secure Browning's half of the club.

Digital Spy recently chatted to Dan Tetsell, who plays Jim, to hear more about his character's stalker secret.

How do you feel about being involved in this surprising twist?
"I think it's great. I was actually hoping that something like this might happen. I'd been a bit worried for a while that, for a lawyer, Jim was very, very relaxed about all of these murderers he was spending time with! To be bringing a certain amount of justice to proceedings is quite nice, even if it's not in the courtroom! It's really good fun."

Did you know Jim was the stalker all along, or were you kept in the dark?
"I didn't know about it straight away, but it was fine - I just had to move from not knowing who it was, to just acting like I didn't know who it was. There was probably a subtle change in my facial expression!"

Do you think the viewers have been suspecting Jim?
"I haven't really seen anyone suspecting Jim, so I'd say probably not! I have seen people wondering whether Will is responsible, or Silas, or one of the show's other psychos! Jim seems to have been in the clear in the eyes of the viewers, so I really hope people have been surprised."

Has Jim been scheming against Browning from day one, or is it a lot more recent than that?
"It really dates back from around the time of Browning marrying Mercedes. That's when Trevor strong-armed Jim into doing it. I also think that when Browning threatened to tell Carmel about the incident with Myra, that was the final straw for Jim. He wanted Browning out of his life, the club and the village, as he's become such a loose cannon."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-joseph-thompson-doctor-browning.jpg

They do have an unusual friendship, though! Is there a part of Jim that's still fond of Browning?
"In a way, yes! Jim is an office joker who just happens to be self-employed. I think part of the attraction of Browning to Jim is that he's just someone to talk to. They also move in the same circles. They're two of about three characters who wear suits in the village - however, one's a headteacher who has a dark side, one's a killer, and I'm short and overweight, so I'm not sure it's a good look!"

How nervous is Jim about doing Trevor's dirty work?
"Trevor is exactly the sort of person who Jim hates dealing with. He's another loose cannon and very dangerous, like a rabid dog. Greg Wood who plays the character is lovely, but Trevor is absolutely terrifying to be around. He's huge, threatening, ruthless and he can't ever be talked round."

Poor Jim is caught between Browning and Trevor! With their evil natures to worry about, could Jim be in danger?
"Who knows? If viewers take anything away from this, it should be don't get involved with gangsters and murderers - even if they are doctors! (Laughs.) You just can't guess what they're going to do next."

How does Jim feel about Browning's plan to have Myra killed?
"It's interesting, as there's a small second of relief that it's not him in the firing line. But it's also terrible, as Jim does like Myra and they have a history. However, he can't save Myra without revealing his own guilt. He ends up having to step up the stalking in an attempt to sort this out quickly."

Can we expect some more twists and turns with this story?
"Absolutely. Jim has got quite an artistic eye, with his delivery of necklaces and wreaths! I'd say keep an eye on his artistic side, as Browning definitely has a few shocks coming…"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/28/618x693/soaps-hollyoaks-dan-tetsell-jim-mcginn_1.jpg

We've seen a lot of comedy from your character, so are you enjoying having a more serious storyline?
"I am, actually. I think it was always under there somewhere - that Jim is a schmuck in real life but quite hard when it comes to the law. You're mainly going to see Jim terrified of all these crazy people he has to deal with, but it's great fun to play."

Is Jim's quirky side his true character, or is there a sense that he's putting it on slightly?
"It's difficult to tell, isn't it? I do think it's really him, because it comes out at massively inappropriate moments. Jim tells jokes at the most terrible times, so it is naturally him, but I do think he also sometimes plays up to his class joker role in order to get on with people."

Myra still has some feelings for Jim. Does Jim feel anything for her other than friendship?
"I think there'll always be a special bond after what happened between them. They're also much closer in age than Jim and Carmel are. However, Carmel is the ideal for Jim and she represents a better life for him."

Do you think Jim and Carmel can stay together?
"Well, I hope they've got a long-term future! I think they get along well, but there's probably going to be ups and downs, because they live in Hollyoaks! It'd be nice to think they could be soap's only happy couple, but who knows if I'll get my wish?"

http://i1.cdnds.net/12/30/618x487/carmel-mcqueen.jpg

How does the soap world compare to your previous work?
"It's really great. I've done quite a bit of comedy in the past, so it's stretching having to be sincere about things! (Laughs.) That's what most actors do, but it's rarely ever come up for me! I think the audience feedback has been great too - it's so immediate, focused and intense. It's great to be in a show that's so closely followed by people. The viewers get really involved."

Have you made many friends on set?
"The cast have been very welcoming from day one. I was straight into last year's courtroom scenes with the McQueens, so they've been extremely welcoming. Also, Joe Thompson who plays Doctor Browning couldn't be further away from the crazy, obsessive lunatic that he plays. He's very lovely and we even went to the same university, so we have mutual friends. Joe Tracini is great too.

"To be honest, one of the fantastic things about this show is that everyone is ridiculously nice. It really is sickening how all these attractive people are also great human beings! (Laughs.) Everything I thought about beautiful people was wrong!"

If Jim isn't killed by Browning or Trevor, would you like to stick around in Hollyoaks for a while?
"I really would, as it's a great show to be in. I'm enjoying it so much that I think my family in London are getting a bit annoyed that I'm having such a good time away from them! I have to pretend I don't enjoy it when I go home! I'm very comfortable on the show, but saying that is probably the kiss of death, so don't tell our producer Bryan that I said it!"

'Hollyoaks' Phoebe roped into Browning's scheme

Hollyoaks' Phoebe McQueen will face a testing time next week after she is roped into Dr Browning's scheming.

When Vincent (John Omole) receives a letter about his friend Akin being deported, Phoebe (Mandip Gill) decides to get back in touch with Trevor, who demands £500 for a fake passport.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/29/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-3657-1.jpg

Knowing she won't be able to come up with the cash on her own, she asks Dr Browning (Joseph Thompson) for help.

However, instead of trying to help her, Browning decides to plant a photo of the teen in the medical file of one of his wealthy patients, Mrs. Rahj, in order to try to convince the terminally ill woman that Phoebe is her granddaughter.

Phoebe feels guilty when Mrs Rahj gives her an expensive bracelet but she goes ahead with the plan and sells it to pay Trevor.

Vincent is overwhelmed when Phoebe presents him with the papers he needs to visit his friend. However, just as he's about to leave, a parcel arrives containing a letter from Akin saying that he has already been deported.

'Hollyoaks': Two big shocks for Mercedes revealed

Hollyoaks minx Mercedes Browning will be faced with two big revelations in next week's episodes.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) finds out much more than she ever bargained for after her mum Myra is attacked by a masked intruder at work one evening.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/08/618x930/soaps_hollyoaks_mercedes_mcqueen.jpg

With Mercy's husband Paul (Joseph Thompson) the prime suspect in the case, she immediately jumps in to protect him by giving him an alibi.

Once the police are off Doctor Browning's back, he tells Mercy that Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane) has been stalking him - before stirring up even more trouble by revealing that she slept with Carmel's boyfriend Jim McGinn (Dan Tetsell).

The timing of Paul's revelation couldn't be worse as a smitten Carmel (Gemma Merna) has just proposed to Jim.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/24/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-mcqueen-family.jpg

Although unsure of what to do for the best, Mercedes eventually decides to tell Carmel about Jim and spills the beans at her sister's engagement lunch at The Dog, but will Carmel believe her?

Later, Mercedes faces an even bigger shock as she goes through Paul's emails and finds an order confirmation for 50 posies - the same flowers that Myra had to stay late to make on the night she was attacked at the florists.

'Hollyoaks': Anna Passey talks awards, Sienna plot future, more

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x871/soaps-hollyoaks-anna-passey-sienna-blake.jpg

Hollyoaks schemer Sienna Blake has made a huge impact on screen in recent weeks with her ruthless plot to steal Nancy Osborne's life.

Viewers have seen that Sienna will stop at nothing to get what she wants, and with no end to her plotting in sight, the ongoing saga looks set to become one of the year's biggest storylines.

Anna Passey, who plays Sienna, is now reaping the rewards with three nominations in the 2013 Inside Soap Awards longlist.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Anna to hear her reaction to the nods and all the gossip on what's coming up for Sienna.

How do you feel about your Inside Soap Award nominations for 'Best Storyline, 'Best Bitch' and 'Best Newcomer'?
"Very excited! I've been in the show for nine months now, and during that time I've been very busy working on some fab storylines. Until now, I hadn't really had a chance to take a step back and take a look at everything. The nominations have given me the chance to do that, so it's a really nice treat.

"It's also pretty good timing, as the current storyline is still in full swing, but it's also come to a nice punctuation point where Sienna has been revealed to be completely nuts!"

Were you surprised to be up for three awards?
"Definitely, I was really surprised. I'm really, really chuffed with 'Best Newcomer'. 'Best Bitch' and 'Best Storyline' are also great! I feel really lucky to be up for three."

Have you thought about possibly winning one of the awards?
"I would really love it if we could win the 'Best Storyline' award. I think that would be the best for me, just because I know that Jess, Ash and myself have been working so hard and putting so much time and effort into it. I think it's a really exciting, gripping storyline and it's quite a long-running one too.

"I am up against some brilliant people, though. 'Best Bitch' is always a tricky category because there are so many great bitches out there in the soaps! It's the same with 'Best Newcomer', because lots of strong people have started out on screen at a similar time to me."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/29/618x382/soaps-the-inside-soap-awards-2013_1.jpg

Do you think Hollyoaks is in with a good chance in general on the night?
"I really hope so! There's still such a great buzz around the building after our Soap Awards wins, and there's a real sense of something really special being created here. The show is definitely on the way up and we'll have some amazing storylines playing out on screen this summer. To take home some more prizes at the Inside Soap Awards would be fantastic."

Since our last interview, your storyline has really stepped up a gear! How are the fans reacting to Sienna's crazy behaviour?
"Well, people don't like her very much! (Laughs.) I think people had seen Sienna lurking around in the background for quite a few months, and so the audience knew that there was something not quite right about her. On one hand, people are excited that it's all kicked off and they've been proven right! It's been enjoyable for them to see her crazy side unravelling.

"At the same time, Sienna is breaking up the Osbornes, which is such a well-loved family in soap, so there's obviously a big backlash to that. I'm really flattered, though, because most people seem to understand that it's just a character. If people say that they hate Sienna, it hopefully means that I'm doing a good job of playing her!"

There are some fans who, despite everything, quite like Sienna and Darren together! Has that come as a surprise?
"That's been the biggest shock of all, really. Ever since I started, our producer Bryan Kirkwood was preparing me for the fact that people wouldn't like Sienna. He told me, 'We're going to make you the most disliked girl in soap!'

"It's a big surprise to have a little army of supporters who love 'Dienna' as a couple. Some people think that Darren is a lot more free and easy with Sienna, which is lovely, but I think we can all safely say that Nancy is the one who deserves to be with him."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/23/618x439/soaps-hollyoaks-3629-3.jpg

Do you think there's room for redemption with Sienna?
"It's an interesting question, and lots of people have asked it of me. I really don't know, because some of the things that Sienna does are completely outrageous and truly awful. In that respect, I think she makes her bed and she'll have to lie in it.

"At the same time, Sienna does have her reasons for doing what she's doing. She's not out to just maliciously wreck everything for no reason. I think that's the seed of hope that there could possibly be some redemption for her. Sienna genuinely thinks that she'd be a better wife, mother and family member for the Osbornes.

"Sienna is doing it for the right reasons, but she has a slightly altered sense of reality and she's going about it in such a terrible way. However, she's not doing it for fun and she's not getting any sense of enjoyment out of it."

We're all wondering how long Sienna can keep this up! Does the storyline still have a long way to go?
"Well, Sienna is very clever and I think that's what will prolong the storyline. She plans everything out, and even when it goes wrong, she's just that bit sharper than Darren and the rest of them. Sienna is always one step ahead, and she's not going to let go easily. It'll go on for a little while longer…"

Have any of the scenes been difficult to film? Sienna breastfeeding Oscar was one which really shocked the audience…
"Well, I read my scripts like a film and I'm always excited to see what's coming next, but then sometimes it suddenly hits me that I'm the one that's going to have to do the crazy scenes! Particularly the breastfeeding, which was a bit tricky. I've also been moved to tears on set when I've been watching the performances of Jess Fox, Ashley Taylor Dawson and Jimmy McKenna. It's upsetting to see how much destruction Sienna causes, so I can easily see why it affects the audience so much.

"More than anything, though, to get a part like this is fantastic, and for Bryan to have created something so rich is brilliant."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/26/618x441/soaps-hollyoaks-3643-5.jpg

Do you think Esther will continue to be a thorn in Sienna's side?
"Absolutely. They do say that kids sense evil, don't they?! Tom and Esther have never really been sold on Sienna, so you can definitely expect to see more from that."

Is Patrick to blame for the way Sienna has turned out?
"Now that the audience are seeing Patrick's true colours, I think there's definitely a link there which can be made. Sienna is definitely a product of her parents and her upbringing. Obviously it can't all be blamed on that as Sienna can make her own choices, but she had quite an unusual upbringing which has definitely made an impact. Patrick and Anna certainly have a lot to answer for!"

I am enjoying this storyline even though Sienna is a nutcase and needs her comeuppance at some point. Anna Passey is lovely:).

'Hollyoaks' Nikki Sanderson: 'Maxine, Patrick plot has long future'

Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson has revealed that Maxine Minniver's troubles with Patrick Blake are only just beginning.

The actress's bubbly character has been dating Patrick for a few months, but the Hollyoaks High headteacher has shown glimpses of a dark side with his attempts to control her.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/24/618x796/soaps-hollyoaks-nikki-sanderson-maxine-minniver.jpg

Speaking to PA, Sanderson confirmed that the plot is expected to run for another seven months.

She explained: "Everybody loves to get a great storyline like I've been given. We're still in the beginning stages of it. It's going to be a very long-term storyline, probably on screen until next March.

"It's going to be a slow burner, but when you get into it you'll see why it needed to be slow burning. We want to do the storyline justice and do what would actually happen in real life rather than speeding through things.

"I'm very fortunate that they really took their time with this storyline."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-sienna-blake-patrick-blake-maxine-minniver.jpg

Sanderson suggested that feisty Maxine was an ideal character to choose for the story.

She said: "I think that's why it's great they've chosen Maxine, because in real life you don't think strong, independent women can be manipulated, and it just goes to prove that just because you're strong doesn't mean you can't be moulded into something else."

'Hollyoaks' Myra McQueen actress Nicole Barber-Lane to leave soap

Hollyoaks' Myra McQueen actress Nicole Barber-Lane is to exit the soap, as bosses plan an explosive end for the character.

The 39-year old star, who has played Myra for seven years, is looking to venture into other TV roles and spend more time with her family. She is married to Emmerdale actor Liam Fox.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/23/618x537/soaps-hollyoaks-nicole-barber-lane-myra-mcqueen.jpg

Myra will depart the Channel 4 serial in a shocking manner when she gets shot during a showdown with her son-in-law Dr Browning.

A source told the Daily Star: "The McQueens are one of the most iconic families in Hollyoaks history. So it's only fitting that Myra, as the head of the family, gets the best send-off possible.

"She will be shot. Browning will be involved - but that doesn't mean he's the one who pulls the trigger. We all know there are a few others in the McQueen family who are handy with a gun, so wait and see.

"It's going to be an epic week of episodes that we are sure fans are going to love."

Barber-Lane added of her departure: "The job is fantastic, I love playing Myra. Over the last seven years we have had some great adventures with her and the McQueens.

"But now it is time for me to explore some new characters and roles and to have some fun with my family."

Nooo i'm gutted:(. Myra will be missed, but I wish Nicole well for the future!

'Hollyoaks': Jesse Birdsall cast as Sandy's new love interest

Hollyoaks bosses have cast Jesse Birdsall in a significant guest role, Digital Spy can reveal.

The actor has been filming with the soap as newcomer Fraser Black - a possible love interest for Sandy Roscoe, played by Gillian Taylforth.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x403/soaps-jesse-birdsall.jpg

Viewers will see Fraser's first scenes next week, when he is introduced as a new client for the Roscoes' garage business.

Sandy's eldest son Joe (Ayden Callaghan) then decides to play matchmaker, determined to find a more suitable partner for his mum after learning that she is having a fling with Dodger Savage (Danny Mac).

Joe's plan pays off when Fraser turns up at the house to take Sandy on a date. However, whether she will really be prepared to give up Dodger for him remains to be seen.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/18/618x443/soaps-hollyoaks-3609-8.jpg

Birdsall's previous screen credits include roles in Eldorado, Bugs, The Bill and Footballers' Wives, on which he played Taylforth's on-screen husband.

He also had a small part in EastEnders last year, playing Sharon Rickman's jilted fiancé John Hewland.

Afterwards, she tweeted: "And finished result thanks to the amazing @JayneMahon and @andrew_collinge I LOVE IT!! :)"

She added: "Obviously need a whole new wardrobe now…"

Hollyoaks viewers have seen a variety of hairstyles for Nancy over the years and fans will have to wait and see whether the latest change is part of a storyline or not.

Nancy is currently at the centre of an intense plot on the Channel 4 soap, which has seen scheming Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) attempt to steal her life.

The ongoing story intensifies later this month as Sienna's antics lead to deadly danger for Nancy on the top of a multi-storey car park.

'Hollyoaks' Danny Mac: 'Gillian Taylforth is a great kisser'

Hollyoaks star Danny Mac has revealed his co-star Gillian Taylforth is one of the best kissers on the soap.

Dodger Savage (Mac) is currently having a fling with Sandy Roscoe (Taylforth), much to the dislike of her sons.

Mac told the Daily Star: "She's bang up there with the best of them, that's for sure. It's great because she's got good banter and she's soap royalty.

"It's so mad, because I used to watch her as a kid and she hasn't changed one bit. She looks better than ever."

'Hollyoaks' Joe Thompson: 'Browning will fight to keep Mercedes'

Hollyoaks star Joseph Thompson has revealed that there is a roller coaster ahead for his character Paul Browning and wife Mercedes.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) will be left shocked next week after her mum Myra is attacked by a masked intruder.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-joseph-thompson-doctor-browning.jpg

However, she gets an even bigger shock after going through Paul's emails and realises that he was responsible for the brutal attack.

Thompson told All About Soap: "It's interesting what happens with Mercedes and Browning because there's a roller coaster of them being together and her being on his side, and then her turning against him, before realising Myra was stalking him.

"He has to fight harder than ever to keep Mercedes. He's not really in the right frame of mind and having to battle for her is the last thing he needs. Poor Browning!

Speaking about his character's plot to have Myra killed and the impact it will have on his future with Mercedes, Thompson said: "The guilt thing is an interesting one with Browning.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/29/618x512/soaps_hollyoaks_3400_6.jpg

"I think he's a bit of a sociopath and hadn't ever felt much emotion about anything at all until he met Mercedes. His love for her is totally genuine. He's completely obsessed with her and that's really shaken him up and changed who he is.

"Guilt or no guilt, Browning thinks his plan is highly justified - it's absolutely what has to be done.

"He thinks him and Mercedes are soul mates and that she can be his saviour if they have a life together. So it really is one and the same - to be with her, he has to save himself."

'Hollyoaks': John Paul gets a shock visitor

This is the moment that Hollyoaks' John Paul McQueen is visited by the mother of his young son in a new storyline.

Next week's episodes see John Paul (James Sutton) left stunned when his old friend Chloe arrives in the village unexpectedly.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/31/618x445/soaps-hollyoaks-3666-2.jpg

Chloe causes a stir from the outset by declaring that she now wants to be part of baby Matthew's life, despite previously abandoning him on the McQueens' doorstep.

However, it soon emerges that Chloe has money troubles and has only travelled to Hollyoaks in a desperate bid to get some money from John Paul.

Issuing an ultimatum, Chloe announces that Craig Dean is Matthew's biological father, which would give John Paul no legal rights over the youngster.

Chloe warns that if John Paul can't raise the £5,000 she needs, she'll have no choice but to take Matthew away.

'Hollyoaks' Nick Pickard: 'Tony's cancer battle is very emotional'

Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard has said that filming his character Tony Hutchinson's battle with cancer is 'very emotional'.

Hard-hitting scenes next week see Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) shave Tony's head, as his hair starts falling out when his chemotherapy treatment starts to take effect.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/12/618x549/soaps-hollyoaks-nick-pickard-tony-hutchinson.jpg

Pickard told Yahoo TV: "It has been very emotional at times, some days I'll come home and I'll actually be emotionally drained as I'm doing these big intense scenes.

"The minute his hair starts falling out, it all becomes very real and quite terrifying for him.

"Ste provides him with some much-needed support though, and they help each other through some tough times."

In real life, Pickard shaved his head and had his body hair waxed to portray Tony's testicular cancer battle properly.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/31/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-3669-6.jpg

Pickard said: "We had about four or five cameras on me at the time, and just went for it and shaved the whole lot off.

"We've filmed the Hollyoaks Later episodes, which I had to be completely bald for, so it's all been quite a change!

"The thing that makes it even stranger for me is that I've got no eyebrows either as to keep things as real as possible for the storyline; I shaved off all my facial hair.

"It's quite dramatic. I'm not sure if it suits me or not yet. I do look completely different!"

'Hollyoaks': Jessica Fox talks Nancy Osborne's car stunt horror

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/12/618x451/nancy-osborne.jpg

Life goes from bad to worse for Hollyoaks favourite Nancy Osborne next week as she falls into yet another of Sienna Blake's traps.

When scheming Sienna (Anna Passey) convinces Nancy to flee the village with her son Oscar and nephew Charlie, she sparks a dramatic chain of events which culminates in huge danger for Nancy on the roof of a multi-storey car park…

Digital Spy recently caught up with Jessica Fox, who plays Nancy, to hear her thoughts on the gripping storyline.

What has the Nancy and Sienna storyline been like for you to film?
"It's been really good, because there's been so many different highs and lows to it. There are moments where you think that Nancy is going to get her power back and be reunited with her family, but then Sienna always seems to up her game and the rug is pulled from under Nancy's feet again!

"It's also been great as an actress to see Nancy become such a broken woman. It's really interesting to play, because she's usually so feisty and so strong. Now we're finding her really questioning herself and her values."

What kind of reaction are you seeing from the viewers?
"I've been really lucky, because I'm the 'goodie' in the storyline and the feedback is really amazing. Being on Twitter, we get instant responses from the viewers and people tell us very quickly whether they like something or they don't!

"Out of all my years at Hollyoaks, this definitely seems to be the storyline that's getting the biggest reaction, which can only be a good thing. I do feel sorry for poor Anna because she's getting the tough end of it, but I think we're all pleased that the fans are so invested in the story."

Is there a part of you that's been sad to see Nancy and Darren's marriage torn apart?
"I think more than anything I'm just enjoying the drama. Sometimes people say, 'Oh, I just want Nancy and Darren to be happy', but I'm sure that if they were happy for about a month, the audience would start to find them boring. The nature of soap is to have highs, lows and lots of drama, as that allows us to see where we can push the different characters to.

"Nancy and Darren have been such a tight unit since they got together, and they've had an awful lot thrown at them. At some point something had to give, and it just so happens that Sienna has now entered the picture and started destroying Nancy's life."

http://i2.cdnds.net/11/51/618x705/soaps_hollyoaks_darren_nancy.jpg

Have the producers told you what the outcome of the storyline will be?
"I'm still in the dark, to be honest! I know some of the main points of what's coming up and what we'll be filming immediately, but I don't know the ending or the outcome yet. Maybe there isn't one, maybe it's just going to go on forever! (Laughs.) We'll all just have to wait and see."

Are you surprised that there are some fans who support Darren and Sienna as a couple?!
"I'm not surprised, as I think Darren is such a well-loved character on the show, so if he seems to be happy on screen, a lot of people get behind that. But I think if you peel it all away, you can remember all of the fun times that Nancy and Darren had, and also what brought them together in the first place.

"That's all still there, and there's some really interesting stuff on the way in upcoming episodes where Darren really starts to miss his wife. He starts to realise that he was on to a bit of a good thing, and now he's given it all up for the new woman in his life."

Have any of the scenes been challenging to film?
"A lot of the scenes have been challenging to film, particularly the recent scenes where Nancy was thrown out of The Dog and was pushed to the point where Sienna convinced her that she'd asked for the painkillers.

"We saw Nancy so broken and then she was tempted to take the painkillers for real, only for Darren to walk in. That meant portraying a real hysterical emotion which can be quite difficult - especially as filming takes place over a couple of hours, so I had to maintain it for quite a while!"

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x419/soaps-hollyoaks-3647-1.jpg

Why does Nancy take Oscar and Charlie next week?
"By this point, Nancy has alienated herself from everyone in the village and she has nobody to turn to. Sienna then turns around and tells Nancy that Darren is never going to let her see Oscar and Charlie, so she should just take the kids away and start again somewhere else. Sienna makes Nancy believe that it's her only option. Nancy wouldn't normally believe this, but she is feeling so low that she does end up taking the children.

"The next day, Nancy wakes up in the car and realises that she's made a terrible mistake. She's about to go back to the village, but then she hears a news report on the radio which accuses her of abducting the kids and assaulting Sienna…"

What happens next?
"Nancy goes to Sandy Roscoe for help, but Joe rings Darren to tell him that Nancy and the kids are there. Darren arrives with the police, so Nancy does a runner with the children for a second time. She ends up driving like a mad woman, with police all around her.

"With nowhere else to go, she makes her way into a multi-storey car park and the police chase culminates in Nancy's car on the roof with the back end hanging off the building…"

What were those stunt scenes like to film?
"They were really exciting to film. It took us about five days to film in total, which is a huge amount of time for Hollyoaks to spend on something. First of all we filmed at a car park in Liverpool for all of the interior scenes and the scenes on the car park roof. But we couldn't film there for the special effects with the car hanging over the building, so we had a second location at the docks, where they set up the car on a lot of containers. It was really enjoyable to be a part of."

When Sienna does get her comeuppance, do you want Nancy to be the one who puts the final nail in her coffin?!
"Absolutely! I am looking forward to it, because you always want the good guy to triumph in the end. I personally would feel a bit short-changed if it wasn't Nancy who brings Sienna down after everything that's happened. It would only be fair if Nancy works to get her family back and outs Sienna!"

With Sienna finding it so easy to cause problems, do you think it shows Nancy and Darren were already on rocky ground?
"I think their marriage had been under a huge amount of strain. They'd got married, Nancy had a miscarriage shortly afterwards, and then they had to deal with Oscar's premature birth and the problems with his hearing. After that, Esther tried to take her own life, so it really was one thing after another! Sienna just happened to pop up at precisely the right time to cause mayhem."

You're up for 'Best Actress' at the Inside Soap Awards this year, while the Nancy/Sienna plot is up for 'Best Storyline'. How do you feel about being in the running?
"I'm really thrilled, as it's lovely to be nominated. The storyline has been embraced by the audience so much, so I'm really hopeful for the 'Best Storyline' award. If I do get anywhere close for the other award, I'd really have to share it all with Ashley [Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren], because I wouldn't be able to do any of this if it wasn't for him."

'Hollyoaks' Anna Passey: 'New Sienna scheme is her worst yet'

Hollyoaks star Anna Passey has revealed that insecurity and fear are to blame for her character Sienna Blake's latest shocking scheme.

Next week's dramatic episodes see Sienna's manipulations reach new heights as she lands Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) in huge trouble with the police.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/32/618x719/soaps-hollyoaks-anna-passey-sienna-blake.jpg

After encouraging Nancy to leave the village with her son Oscar and nephew Charlie, ruthless Sienna claims that Nancy assaulted her before kidnapping the children.

The scenes form part of a long-running storyline which has seen Sienna try to steal Nancy's husband Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and every other aspect of her life.

Speaking to Digital Spy about Sienna's plan, Passey explained: "It seems like Sienna has got everything she wants. Darren is believing everything that she's saying, they're together as a couple and Sienna is living at The Dog.

"However, Sienna can sense that Nancy is always going to be in the picture. Darren is always thinking of Nancy and they're obviously connected by the children. Sienna realises for the first time that Nancy is always going to be part of Darren's life no matter what, and that really frightens her.

"Sienna is very insecure over her relationship with Darren, so that's why she comes up with all of this. It's her worst scheme yet. She really wants to remove Nancy from the picture altogether. Sienna is gunning to either have Nancy arrested or blocked from having any access to the children."

When Nancy becomes a wanted woman, she ends up at the centre of a frightening police chase, which culminates in her car hanging over the roof of a multi-storey car park.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/31/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-3669-3.jpg

Passey continued: "Sienna's scheme is such a terrible thing to do, but with Nancy's history of drugs, everyone thinks she's been lying and is a really bad mother. They all believe Sienna, that's the awful thing!

"The scenes were so much fun to film, though - I really loved it. I wasn't involved in the car chase itself, but Ashley and I were involved in the car scenes on the roof. It was really exciting. Anything on-location with stunts is always really good. Jess was fantastic at it - she's really good with stunts."

With Sienna's behaviour spiralling out of control, some fans have wondered whether she would ever resort to killing Nancy to get what she wants.

However, Passey said: "I genuinely don't know about that. It's Hollyoaks and there seems to be a murderer around every corner, so never say never! My gut instinct is that she would stop before she got that far, but you never know in soap, do you?"

'Hollyoaks': James Sutton on John Paul's baby shock, future plots

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/04/618x530/soaps-hollyoaks-james-sutton-john-paul-mcqueen.jpg

Hollyoaks' John Paul McQueen faces the possibility of losing his baby son Matthew next week as the youngster's mother Chloe threatens to take him away.

Chloe arrives in the village looking for money from John Paul, and when he refuses to part with any cash, she has no qualms about using Matthew as a bargaining chip to get what she wants.

Digital Spy recently caught up with James Sutton, who plays John Paul, to hear about the storyline and what's ahead for his character in the longer-term.

Did you enjoy filming this latest twist for John Paul?
"Yeah, it was great! We had a lovely young Irish actress, Susan Loughnane, who came in to play Chloe and we had a great time filming together. The scenes were shot pretty quickly, so it felt like Susan was in and out, but it was a great deal of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing it myself. We were pleased with the work we did, so fingers crossed it'll look alright!"

Can you remind us of John Paul's history with Chloe?
"Chloe was one of John Paul's best friends over in Ireland, when he was living there with Craig. She's a bit nuts and she's one of those people who gets herself into tricky situations. John Paul has a lot of history with her, and he's probably had to bail her out of some other tough situations in the past.

"This time, Chloe turns up in the village and tells John Paul that she wants to be part of Matthew's life. That's a bit bizarre to John Paul because she dumped Matthew on his doorstep at Christmas!"

What happens next?
"John Paul doesn't really believe what Chloe is saying, and eventually it transpires that she just wants money from him. She's got herself into some trouble over in Ireland and needs some cash pretty quickly. Chloe thinks that John Paul will provide for her because she's the mother of his child, but he's very quick to tell her that he doesn't owe her anything.

"There are some fairly heated conversations, so in the end, Chloe warns that if John Paul can't provide the money she'll have to take Matthew and go back over to Ireland."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/31/618x445/soaps-hollyoaks-3666-2.jpg

Chloe tells John Paul that Craig is Matthew's biological father, doesn't she?
"Yes, that's a big part of her ultimatum. She's got a DNA test proving that Craig is the father, which means John Paul doesn't have any rights to Matthew even though he has now bonded with the child. The possibility of losing Matthew is heartbreaking for John Paul, so he does everything he can to get the £5,000 that Chloe is asking for."

Is it tricky to come up with the cash?
"Well, John Paul even swallows his pride and goes to Frankie Osborne for help. That's quite a big deal because they obviously don't like each other very much! Frankie says that she'll give him the money, but Matthew would have to live with her in the pub.

"John Paul's not happy to do that at all, so he gets a bit of money together himself and goes and gives it to Chloe. Unfortunately it's not enough, so you'll have to wait and see how Chloe reacts to that…"

How have you found portraying John Paul as a father this time around?
"It's been great. It's definitely been different, but obviously when I came back to Hollyoaks, it was never going to be the same John Paul that we knew before. The angst and the 'coming of age' story is over, so now we're seeing him as a much more mature character. I've enjoyed exploring that, and the added responsibility of John Paul having a child now brings its own problems!

"It's lovely working with a baby, working in the school and portraying a teacher. I've had some nice scenes where younger characters have gone to John Paul for advice, such as Esther and Phoebe. The shoe was on the other foot last time - John Paul was the one approaching others for advice when his life was messed up!"

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/31/618x422/soaps-hollyoaks-3666-1.jpg

Do you think John Paul and Danny could become a good couple?
"I do - Danny's got a glint in his eye, hasn't he? He's very confident and assured, so he's got that swagger that John Paul finds attractive. That's what he wants from a relationship now, as John Paul is past all of the closeted hiding away. He just wants an easy life, and hopefully Danny is the person to offer that.

"It's obviously the case that Danny has got many secrets and various things that he hasn't let on about yet, so John Paul is pretty likely to get caught up in that in the future. For John Paul to be happy, he's going to have to overcome some things that perhaps Danny hasn't been completely honest about…"

Would you have liked the John Paul and Doug romance to have gone on for longer?
"I certainly liked working with PJ [Brennan], though it's not really for me to say whether John Paul and Doug should have been together for longer - that's up to the storyliners and the scriptwriters. I do think that myself and PJ worked really well together, though.

"I've been very lucky and blessed with the people I've been put with during my two stints on the show. First time around, I was lucky to be working with Guy Burnet and Jake Hendriks, and second time around I've done some lovely stuff with PJ and Stephen Billington. I'm not quite sure what I've done to deserve it!"

We've heard a lot about your big storyline coming up, and the fans are wondering whether it's still happening. Is there something big brewing?
"Yeah, there is. I do have a big storyline coming up, and it is the storyline that I possibly shouldn't have teased when I first came back! (Laughs.) When I first spoke about it, I wasn't sure on the timeframe so I probably revealed it a bit too early. It was never intended to be straight away, as John Paul was always going to have to come back and establish himself again before the storyline kicks off.

"It's starting to happen with what we're filming now, and I think by this time next year, the character will be in a very different place. But that's as much as I can say!"

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/04/618x642/soaps-hollyoaks-james-sutton-john-paul-mcqueen-2.jpg

Will the big storyline challenge you as an actor?
"Yeah, I think it will. I find a lot of things challenging - I'm not as assured as I might come across in interviews. I'm constantly thinking of ways to push myself and try to do the best that I can with my limited ability!"

How do you feel about Nicole Barber-Lane's decision to leave the role of Myra?
"I was surprised when I heard that Nicole would be leaving, as I'd only just come back and was looking forward to doing more stuff with her. I hope it wasn't personal! (Laughs.) I'd love to work with her again, as she's a fantastic actress."

How do you think Myra's exit will affect the McQueen family?
"It's definitely going to change the dynamic. I'd love to see Di Langton who plays Nana become a much bigger matriarchal figure in the McQueen house and be the one who rules the roost. Di is absolutely fabulous and we all adore her, so I'd love to work with her more."

Ex-Emmerdale star Kirsty-Leigh Porter to play Ste Hay's sister in 'Hollyoaks'

Former Emmerdale star Kirsty-Leigh Porter will play the role of Ste Hay's sister in Hollyoaks.

It was announced back in June that the actress had signed up to play a full-time character in the Channel 4 soap later this year.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/300x225/soaps-hollyoaks-kieron-richardson-ste-hay.jpg

Hollyoaks' executive producer Bryan Kirkwood exclusively revealed to Digital Spy last month his plans to introduce Ste's sisters and build up the Hay family.

He said: "Ste is undoubtedly one of our most important characters, and I'm so impressed with everything Kieron has done in the role. He's become a real star in the past few years.

"I was conscious of the fact that Ste was languishing on his own with no family around him, so that's something we're going to change by bringing in Ste's sisters. Ste's story with Pauline is just the start of a massive journey for the character.

Porter is known for her roles as Roz Fielding in Emmerdale and Zoe Willson in Coronation Street.

Most people already knew, but fab news regardless:). HO still need to decide on a name for her character and they are currently casting another Actress because Ste has another sister who will be joining the show too, so it will be great that he has some family around!

'Hollyoaks': Joseph Thompson leaves Doctor Browning role

Hollyoaks star Joseph Thompson has left the soap, Digital Spy can exclusively confirm.

The actor, who plays twisted Doctor Browning, has already filmed his final scenes for the Channel 4 show and will bow out on screen in the autumn.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-joseph-thompson-doctor-browning.jpg

Show bosses are keeping tight-lipped over how Browning will depart the village, but many fans will be hoping that he gets his comeuppance as his list of crimes grows ever bigger.

Digital Spy understands that it was always the plan for Browning to bow out in the latter half of this year, as Thompson is keen to explore other acting opportunities.

The dangerous character was originally introduced in January 2012 for a brief storyline with Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) at the hospital. However, Browning's role in the show increased last summer as his growing feelings for Mercedes led to him killing Lynsey.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/29/618x512/soaps_hollyoaks_3400_6.jpg

This year, Browning and Mercedes have been at the centre of many more dramatic storylines - including their outrageous wedding ceremony in June, and Browning's stalker ordeal leading to an explosive feud with his mother-in-law Myra (Nicole Barber-Lane).

Off-screen, Thompson won the 'Best Newcomer' prize at the British Soap Awards in May and was nominated for the same title at the National Television Awards at the beginning of the year.

Ooh interesting. I will miss Dr B in a way because I liked him despite the mental attitude and crimes, interesting character but I wish Joe Thompson well with what he does next in the future.

Hopefully Will gets a comeuppance next!

'Hollyoaks': Doctor Browning lines up surprise new victim

Hollyoaks villain Doctor Browning lines up Cindy Cunningham as his next murder victim in dramatic scenes next week.

Browning (Joseph Thompson) turns against Cindy after they have a surprise one-night stand.

The pair's night together doesn't mean anything as Browning is still desperate to reunite with his estranged wife Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe).

Unfortunately for Browning, he realises that Cindy (Stephanie Waring) could jeopardise his chances of saving his marriage when she threatens to tell Mercedes about them sleeping together.

After a mischievous Cindy refuses to accept a financial bribe from Browning, his dark side emerges yet again as he decides that more extreme measures will be needed to silence her.

'Hollyoaks': Sienna Blake, Darren Osborne in proposal mix-up

Hollyoaks schemer Sienna Blake will be left humiliated when she wrongly assumes that Darren Osborne is proposing to her.

Sienna jumps to the wrong conclusion when she arrives at The Dog to find a huge banner which reads: "Will you marry me?"

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/32/618x719/soaps-hollyoaks-anna-passey-sienna-blake.jpg

In reality, Darren's father Jack has put the romantic gesture together for wife Frankie as he wants them to renew their wedding vows.

Anna Passey, who plays Sienna, told All About Soap: "Darren's there holding a ring and Sienna assumes he's proposing, but really Jack's planning to pop the question to Frankie.

"As she wants this so badly and is so blinkered, Sienna doesn't even wait for Darren to ask - she says yes in front of a pub full of people!"

Sienna's embarrassing moment comes at the start of a tough week for her, as her carefully-laid plans start to go awry.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/04/618x551/soaps-hollyoaks-ashley-taylor-dawson-darren-osborne-2-2.jpg

Passey continued: "Sienna becomes very stressed out and Tom starts winding her up saying, 'You're not part of our family - you don't fit in'. This makes her feel genuinely unwell, so when Darren comes out, Sienna takes this mild pain she has in her stomach and falls to the ground in 'agony'.

"Then everyone is rushing around terrified that she might be losing the baby. I can't reveal too much, but [at the hospital], Sienna overhears Darren saying the baby is the only thing holding them together. That completely bursts her bubble and breaks her heart."

'Hollyoaks' Stephanie Waring: 'Cindy's attack scenes are terrifying'

Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has revealed that she was terrified when she watched the scenes where her character Cindy Cunningham is attacked by Doctor Browning.

Viewers will see Browning (Joseph Thompson) turn against Cindy next week after they have a one-night stand.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/21/618x642/soaps-hollyoaks-stephanie-waring-cindy.jpg

After Cindy refuses to accept a financial bribe from Browning in return for her not confessing to his wife Mercedes, he turns to extreme measures in order to silence her.

Warring said to All About Soap: "He traps Cindy in a storeroom cupboard, then comes at her from behind, puts his hands round her throat, and he's strangling the life out of her.

"I've actually watched the scene and it's terrifying. It was really quite difficult to sit through. Cindy is losing her life and it could be all over for her."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-joseph-thompson-doctor-browning.jpg

Speaking about the repercussions of her character's surprise one-night stand with Browning, Waring said: "She was just looking for someone: she's lonely and he's her type.

"She turns down the cash and it spurs her on a little more. He threatens her a couple of times, but she thinks she's got one up on him by warning him she will tell Mercedes.

"She goads him, pushing and pushing and pushing - and that is when he snaps and attacks her."

'Hollyoaks': Shock Mercedes decision to infuriate Myra

Hollyoaks favourite Myra McQueen will fly into a rage later this month when her daughter Mercedes reunites with Doctor Browning.

Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) recently split from Browning after discovering that he had lied to her about Myra's attack and his position at the hospital.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/22/618x685/soaps-hollyoaks-nicole-barber-lane-myra-mcqueen.jpg

With Mercedes showing no signs of forgiving her twisted husband, Browning decides that there is nothing keeping him in Hollyoaks and prepares to leave the village.

However, Mercedes later changes her mind at the last minute and begs Browning to stay for her, All About Soap reports.

While Browning is delighted to have Mercedes back, their reunion prompts a furious response from Myra.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/29/618x465/soaps_hollyoaks_3400_6.jpg

When a vengeful Myra puts together flyers labelling Browning a murderer and distributes them around the village, it's clear that their feud is about to turn nastier than ever.

Nicole Barber-Lane, who plays Myra, recently announced that she will be bowing out as Myra at the end of the ongoing storyline.

Browning actor Joseph Thompson is also leaving the soap to pursue other acting opportunities.

'Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter: 'I'll never win the Sexiest Female award'

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has revealed that she doesn't think she will ever win the 'Sexiest Female' title.

Porter, who plays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, has been nominated in the 'Sexiest Female' category at the British Soap Awards two years running, but lost out both times to Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/20/618x1369/soaps-british-soap-awards-12.jpg

Porter told the Daily Star: "Michelle Keegan probably uses her awards as doorstops she's got so many!

"If I had one, I'd be like, 'Oh my God!' But I don't think I'll be winning anything, even without Michelle in the running.

"There's always new girls who just pop up from nowhere. Next time there will probably be a new fittie, a younger one.

"It's hard to be really sexy all the time, to try to be dead sexy 24/7. I don't think my boyfriend could handle it."

Porter has been dating her co-star James Atherton, who plays killer Will Savage, for two years.

The actress said: "Everything's going well between us but we're too young to get married. We don't even quite live together - we're in the same building but I'm on the bottom floor and he's on the top.

"We're like Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter - they live in different houses but next door to each other.

The Nancy car stunt was good! I felt sorry for her and the kids. Sienna is horrible, but although she is a fab character I cannot wait until she gets a comeuppance.

I like Darren, but he has been so stupid in believing Sienna over Nancy. It is his role in the storyline to be the one who has the wool pulled over the eyes, so no surprise but he will have to do lots of grovelling when Sienna is exposed for the liar she is.

Emotional scenes between Ste and Tony. Ste struggling to cope because of it being his Mom's funeral and Tony was supporting him, but he noticed his hair was starting to fall off because of the cancer and he then asked Ste to shave it off:(.

'Hollyoaks': Stephen Billington talks shock Danny, Ste twist

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/33/618x667/soaps-hollyoaks-stephen-billington-danny-lomax.jpg

Hollyoaks delivered another unpublicised storyline twist in tonight's Channel 4 episode (August 16) as newcomer Danny Lomax was revealed as Ste Hay's father.

Viewers discovered the truth as Doug Carter decided to phone Ste's dad following his recent troubles and Danny was at the other end of the line.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Stephen Billington, who plays Danny, for an exclusive first chat about the big reveal.

How do you feel about being involved in such a big Hollyoaks twist?
"I'm absolutely thrilled. For a long time, a lot of the great stories in the show have revolved around Ste. He's such a great character and Kieron Richardson is a fantastic actor. For me, it's a tremendous opportunity and I'm really loving it.

"Now that I've got a pretty big storyline, I feel more like I belong at Hollyoaks. It's going to be a massive thing for Ste's character, because he's never met his dad before. Plus, with his mum dying recently, he's completely alone at the moment. The realisation that Danny is his dad, whenever that happens, will be a really great moment for both characters."

Do you think the fans will be shocked?
"It's definitely a big surprise, and it's great that the audience have found out before any of the characters do. At the moment, Danny knows that his son is living in the Hollyoaks village, but even after he's met Ste, he doesn't realise that it's him.

"Danny will find out eventually, but in the meantime there's going to be big suspense for the audience as they'll probably be screaming at the screen! When it is finally revealed, it'll be pretty dramatic and fun to watch."

Did you know all along that Danny is Ste's dad?
"Yes, I was aware from the beginning. It was always going to be one of the developments for Danny's character. Danny has been trying to get in touch with Ste for pretty much his whole life, but his mum got in the way. It's a great storyline and it's been really lovely to work with both James Sutton (John Paul) and Kieron Richardson."

Does Danny feel guilty that he's missed out on so much of Ste's life?
"He definitely does - who wouldn't? But it really is just because Ste's mum never allowed Danny near him. She had her own reasons for that, but I think Danny would have been a good dad to Ste and might have helped to keep him out of the trouble he got in over the years.

"Hopefully once they know who each other are, Danny will try to take a fatherly role in the future."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/32/618x428/soaps-hollyoaks-3671-1.jpg

We can't give anything away, but we know there are a few more secrets to be revealed about Danny. How do you think the fans will react to those?
"I'm hoping they'll still like him! Time will tell! I think Danny is quite charming and he manages to charm his way out of difficult situations in his life, so hopefully he'll manage to do the same thing with the audience. That's what I'm hoping for, anyway!

"He's definitely not a bad person. He's just a bit of a free spirit and he likes getting his own way. Perhaps he's a bit greedy too, but when it comes down to it, he's a fundamentally good guy so it's not like he's going to start murdering people or being evil.

"I know I'm going to get told off by some of the fans, but hopefully they'll warm to him and like him. It's always exciting to have someone who's slightly naughty in the cast, as it spices up the storylines."

With Danny still a bit of a mystery, what kind of feedback have you received so far?
"I think the viewers are really intrigued. I've had a lot of really lovely messages on Twitter. I signed up for Twitter when I joined the show, so that's been a learning curve for me. A lot of James Sutton's fans have followed me, so it's been really nice to get a reaction from them. I've only been recognised in the street a couple of times, which is quite nice because I'm quite a shy person!"

Do you think Danny and John Paul make a good match?
"I do - I think John Paul appeals to Danny because he's such a genuinely good person and will do anything for anybody. John Paul being such a strongly moral person attracts Danny, because it's some of the goodness that he's lost himself along the way.

"John Paul can also be quite vulnerable, so that brings out a side of Danny that wants to look after him. There'll certainly be times when Danny upsets John Paul, but there's a strong bond there. It actually surprises Danny that he feels so strongly for John Paul."

After being in Corrie a few years back, did you ever expect to be in another long-running soap?
"To be honest with you, I'd been hoping for it over the past couple of years. I've done a lot of work in the intervening years, mainly movies, a lot of theatre and some American series. But I've found that in this country, my telly roles have got smaller and smaller, and my profile hasn't been high enough for some of the theatre roles I've wanted to go for.

"I'd been talking to my agent for a while about joining a soap, and last year I auditioned with Hollyoaks for another role. I'm glad I didn't get that, though, as Danny is so fun to play."

What are your memories of your time on Corrie as Greg Kelly?
"Greg was an amazing character to play, so I have no regrets about that whatsoever. I won the Soap Award for 'Villain of the Year' for the role and we were getting 26 million viewers an episode, which could never be repeated now with so many channels. It was tremendous to be part of that.

"Now I'm on Hollyoaks and Lime Pictures is such a great place to work. Everyone is friendly and professional so it's a joy to be here."

'Hollyoaks': Lizzie Roper joins show as Sam Lomax

Hollyoaks bosses have cast Lizzie Roper as newcomer Sam Lomax.

Sam is the wife of Hollyoaks High teacher Danny and made her first appearance on screen in tonight's E4 first look airing (August 19).

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/34/618x345/soaps-hollyoaks-lizzie-roper-sam-lomax.png

Show chiefs did not announce Roper's casting before transmission as they wanted the appearance of Danny's partner to be a surprise for viewers.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Roper commented: "I'm having a ball after joining one of the friendliest casts. I'm so lucky getting to play Sam: one moment she's fun and feisty starting food fights, the next she's facing up to gangsters and doing everything she can to bring them to justice.

"She's not afraid of anything and has got a heart of gold, but when it comes to her family she's a lioness - don't mess with her!"

Sam will become a prominent character on screen in the coming weeks as Danny (Stephen Billington) desperately tries to juggle his stable family life and his secret relationship with John Paul McQueen (James Sutton).

Viewers know that Danny is also hiding another big secret as he is the father of established character Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson).

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/33/618x667/soaps-hollyoaks-stephen-billington-danny-lomax.jpg

Sam and Danny's children - Ste's half-sisters - will also be joining the show as regular characters later in the year.

Roper has a number of previous screen credits including roles in Dead Boss, Shameless, Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

'Hollyoaks' Dennis Savage stages Leanne Holiday's graduation

Hollyoaks Dennis Savage will stage his fiancée Leanne Holiday's graduation next week, after letting her down by missing the real ceremony.

Dennis (Joe Tracini) is preoccupied with helping Dodger recover the mattress with a secret stash of money that he had thrown away unwittingly.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/33/618x347/soaps-hollyoaks-3677-1.jpg

However, Leanne (Jessica Forest) is devastated when Dennis ends up missing her graduation as a result of this and ends up calling off their engagement.

Feeling guilty, Dennis is determined to make it up to her and stages his own graduation ceremony for her at the Lad's Pad.

Leanne is overwhelmed with Dennis's efforts and forgives him for his earlier absence.

'Hollyoaks': Elliot Balchin reveals Kevin Foster return

Hollyoaks actor Elliot Balchin has confirmed that his character Kevin Foster will be returning to screens.

The 23-year-old revealed the news on his Twitter page today (August 20), but warned that Kevin will only be back briefly.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/03/618x741/soaps-hollyoaks-elliot-balchin-kevin.jpg

He told his online followers: "Alright guys for those of you asking Kevin may briefly appear bk in your lives. X (sic)"

Kevin was last seen in May, when he got on the wrong side of sinister Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) while trying to make amends with Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson).

After Patrick framed Kevin for stealing Maxine's necklace, he took the troublemaker away in his car and returned with blood on his shirt. Viewers were then left to wonder just how far the headteacher had gone to get rid of Kevin.

A Hollyoaks insider told Digital Spy: "Elliot will be back on screen, but will Kevin be in a body bag after Patrick's intervention or did he make it out of their altercation alive?"

Kevin was originally introduced to Hollyoaks in January as part of Brendan Brady's dramatic exit storyline.

'Hollyoaks' team filming big autumn stunt?

Hollyoaks' cast and crew are rumoured to be filming a big stunt on night shoots this fortnight.

http://i2.cdnds.net/12/08/M/soaps_hollyoaks_logo_2012.jpg

Rapid Fire Cover, who have been involved in a number of memorable soap stunts, are thought to be working on set at the Channel 4 show for huge scenes which are due to air in the autumn.

The company is a specialist fire protection service which offers various fire safety solutions for the television, film and events industry.

Their notable soap projects include working on the Rovers Return fire scenes for Coronation Street at the beginning of the year, and Adam Barton's arson attack against Cain Dingle in Emmerdale in 2012.

However, they have also been known to be involved in non-fire storylines such as Nick and David's recent van crash in Corrie, which saw the company provide fire crews and vehicles for stunt safety and the in-vision scenes where Nick was cut from the wreckage.

Rapid Fire Cover tweeted late last week: "We start a new project tomorrow for the next 2 weeks working on one of the year's biggest stunts in a well known soap! #weareRapidfire"

Joe Tracini (Dennis Savage) and Stephanie Davis (Sinead O'Connor) are among the cast members who have tweeted about being involved in the "exciting" night shoots.

'Hollyoaks': Sarah Jayne Dunn to return as Mandy in 'Later'

Sarah Jayne Dunn will reprise her longstanding Hollyoaks role this autumn.

The actress - who has played Mandy Richardson on and off in the Channel 4 soap since 1996 - will return for the upcoming sixth series of Hollyoaks Later.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/24/618x413/soaps-sarah-jayne-dunn-2.jpg

Dunn's return was confirmed on her official website, which stated: "Sarah is returning to Hollyoaks to once again reprise her role of Mandy for the Hollyoaks Later episodes.

"What will be in store for Mandy this time around? Watch this space."

Hollyoaks Later's new series will see fan favourite Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) have an epic adventure in Spain and Morocco.

Mandy was last seen in Hollyoaks in September 2011, when she reunited with ex-husband Tony, but later changed her mind, dumping her on-off partner by letter and leaving the village.

Danny Dyer will play a ruthless ex-pat known as 'The White Man' in the new series, which will air in October.

'Hollyoaks': Joe Tracini on awards, Dennis Savage future, more

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/25/618x589/soaps-hollyoaks-joe-tracini-dennis-savage.jpg

For our latest Inside Soap Awards chat, Digital Spy caught up with Joe Tracini, who is nominated in the 'Funniest Male' category for his role as Dennis Savage.

Here, the actor tells us who he's backing to win the prize this year, why things are about to go wrong for Dennis and Leanne, and how the best story for his character is yet to come.

How do you feel about being in the running for 'Funniest Male'?
"It feels really nice. It's always really sweet to have people thinking of you when these things are put together. You get into a habit of just constantly working, as lovely as that is, and it's easy to forget that you're making telly. It's great when something like this crops up and you find out that people appreciate what you're doing. It feeds my ego a stupid amount, so I'm very happy!"

You're up against seven other nominees, so have you thought about your chances of winning the award?
"Not in the slightest have I thought about winning! If anything, I've been pushing on Twitter for Dan Tetsell to win, who is my fellow nominee from Hollyoaks. I've been a fan of his for years and I think he's brilliant playing Jim McGinn in the show. I think Dan should win all awards, to be honest!"

Hollyoaks usually does pretty well at the Inside Soap Awards, so do you think it's in with a good chance again this year?
"I think it deserves to be. The show is really strong at the moment and we're currently filming some really exciting stuff to come. I think in the past year, it's been stronger than it has been in a long time. Hollyoaks definitely deserves to win some awards and we've got such a large following now, which we're very proud of.

"It'd be lovely to win, but even if we don't, it doesn't mean that we're just going to be pants from now on! We're still going to work as hard as we can whatever happens."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/24/618x444/soaps-hollyoaks-3634-1.jpg

Dennis's relationship with Leanne runs into trouble next week. What can you tell us about that?
"Dennis misses Leanne's graduation and it's very awkward. It's because Dodger finds a mattress stuffed full of money while clearing out a house. Unfortunately, the mattress gets in Dennis's way, so he gets rid of it as he doesn't know about the money!

"Dodger is distraught when he finds out that Dennis has chucked the mattress in a skip, so basically Dennis has to try his hardest to search through the skip to get it back - while wearing a suit on the way to the graduation! When Dennis misses the ceremony, it puts a strain on his relationship. It's a real shame, because Dennis does try hard, but this time he's really let the love of his life down."

But then Dennis comes up with a fake graduation to make up for it…
"Yes, Dennis tries his best to please everyone, so he does a graduation at home for Leanne. He wants her to feel like the only person in the world, so he steals a lectern, puts it in the lads' pad and makes it a really special moment for Leanne. He even tip-exes out her graduation certificate to make it even better, which is actually slightly illegal and doesn't count!"

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/33/618x347/soaps-hollyoaks-3677-1.jpg

Why does Dennis then end up buying a run-down house in the village?
"Dodger says to Dennis that he can't keep hold of the money they've found. It's £100,000 and Nana McQueen is after the cash, so it really needs to be invested so it's out of their hands. Dennis decides to invest it into a house, and to say the house is unpleasant is an understatement - it's really not nice! However, Dennis moves some people in and hilarity ensues!"

Are you hoping Dennis and Leanne are going to get a big on-screen wedding in the show?
"I don't think Dennis is, but Leanne certainly is, even though it'll be her third time in a wedding dress! She wants the big guns out, but unfortunately Dennis has spent all of his money investing in a rubbish house! He'll try his hardest to make her happy, as he has done for two years, so they'll definitely plan a big do."

We asked our @soapscoop followers on Twitter to submit their questions and @trixie_ayla wanted to know whether Dennis, Doug and Leanne will grow close to discovering Will's killer secret?
"I'd like to think so! It's so hard to go to work every day knowing that Will is a murderer! I think it would probably be the plan that we'll all find out about Will, but who knows? Maybe he'll just stay around for ten years killing people while the rest of us act like idiots!

"I would really love to be involved. I'm hopelessly going around trying to be funny all the time, so it'd be lovely to be involved in some serious stuff as well - also because I love James Atherton and I think he's great."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/25/618x470/soaps-hollyoaks-savages.jpg

We also had a question from @proudofkieron, who wanted to know which member of the cast you'd like more scenes with?
"Charlie Wernham who plays Robbie Roscoe, purely because I want to poke him in the face when he's trying to work!"

Another user called @TeamJorgiePDOI wanted to ask you what the most exciting thing about playing Dennis is?
"I love the name Team Jorgie! The most exciting thing about playing Dennis is that he actually used to be a secret agent. Nobody knows that - he was a spy for MI6! To be honest, I think it's such a deep secret that nobody will ever find out!"

Finally, @Murphy945 asked us which of Dennis's storylines has been your favourite?
"It's the storyline I'm currently filming, which I can't say anything about, so unfortunately it's a really pants answer! All I can say is that it's very exciting and not at all because of me!

"It's a really, really good time to be a fan of Hollyoaks, because it's all going to kick right off very soon. I'm really lucky to be involved in what's coming up and I'm really fortunate to be part of a show that's looking so promising."

'Hollyoaks': Phoebe sees Vincent, George kissing

Vincent Elegba's Hollyoaks storyline takes a new twist next week as Phoebe McQueen catches him kissing George Smith.

A confused Vincent (John Omole) gives into temptation even though he's been in serious denial over his feelings.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/34/618x419/soaps-hollyoaks-3683-1.jpg

Upcoming episodes see Vincent decide to consult 'Reborn', an organisation claiming to cure homosexuality.

Vincent considers going away on one of the company's retreats for their 'help' and even decides to start dating Phoebe (Mandip Gill), determined to prove to himself that he isn't gay.

George (Steven Roberts) is shocked by Vincent's behaviour and urges him to see that he needs to be true to himself, as being gay is who he is.

When George then kisses Vincent, who responds, Phoebe walks in and can't believe what she's seeing…

The Roscoe brothers are furious to hear of Robbie's ordeal, and they get a chance for revenge when their aunt and uncle turn up looking for the troublesome teenager.

Ken protests his innocence when confronted by a raging Sandy (Gillian Taylforth), but she sends him and Jean away as she believes her son is telling the truth.

Hollyoaks' Cindy Cunningham will be thrown into turmoil when she discovers that she is pregnant.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/21/618x642/soaps-hollyoaks-stephanie-waring-cindy.jpg

However, things turned nasty after she threatened to confess to his wife Mercedes, leading him to strangle her and leave her for dead.

Over the coming weeks, Cindy will live in fear that Browning will attempt to kill her again and will be left horrified when she discovers that she is having his baby.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/27/618x885/soaps-hollyoaks-joseph-thompson-doctor-browning.jpg

She will then struggle to cope with the news after deciding not to tell her daughter Holly, and will eventually make her way to an abortion clinic

However, whether she will go through with the abortion remains to be seen and insiders have warned that there will be plenty more twists to come in this storyline.

'Hollyoaks' rapped by Ofcom over Walker train death

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/news/a510100/hollyoaks-rapped-by-ofcom-over-walker-train-death.html

Ridiculous! That one person who complained needs to get a life:mad:.

Hollyoaks has never been suitable for children and if parents let them watch the show then it is them to blame and not the show..

This definitely won't put Hollyoaks off from pushing the boundaries or liking to shock/provoke responses from the audience though.

'Hollyoaks' Emmett Scanlan criticises Ofcom ruling: 'Kids shouldn't watch'

Hollyoaks star Emmett Scanlan has criticised Ofcom's decision to rap the soap's broadcaster Channel 4 over Simon Walker's violent exit from the show.

The actor, whose character Brendan Brady was involved in the scene which caused one complaint, suggested on Twitter that young children should not have been watching Hollyoaks and that bad parenting was to blame.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/10/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-3562-promo-1.jpg

Scanlan tweeted: "4 year olds should be watching Bob the Builder not Hollyoaks..This is about parenting..Not lobotomising creativity"

The scene in question saw Walker (Neil Newbon) killed by a speeding train during a brutal fight with his arch-nemesis Brendan at the side of a railway.

Ofcom investigated the episode after one viewer complained that this was unsuitable for broadcast before the watershed, particularly as children could have been watching.

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s13/hollyoaks/news/a510315/hollyoaks-emmett-scanlan-criticises-ofcom-ruling-kids-shouldnt-watch.html

The media watchdog said: "In Ofcom's view, the signposting within the programme did not minimise sufficiently the cumulative impact of this aggressive and physical fight scene followed by the unexpected and shocking death of Walker in front of the train.

"In this case, it is Ofcom's view that this scene was both violent and shocking and had the potential to distress younger viewers, as well as raise concerns about the level of violence amongst parents watching with their children, regardless of the editorial context presented or the signposting provided. For all these reasons Ofcom considered that it was unsuitable for children."

Emmett is so right:worship:. Do one OFCOM!

'Hollyoaks': Charlie Wernham on Robbie Roscoe return and big storyline

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/13/618x699/soaps-hollyoaks-charlie-wernham-robbie-roscoe.jpg

Hollyoaks reintroduces Robbie Roscoe next week as the bad boy returns to the village unexpectedly.

Robbie was sent away by his mum Sandy (Gillian Taylforth) after his involvement in the dangerous Price Slice robbery, but has he changed his ways after time away living with his aunt?

Digital Spy recently caught up with Charlie Wernham, who plays Robbie, to hear some gossip on what's coming up for his character.

You've had a little bit of a break from Hollyoaks, so how does it feel to be back on set?
"It's fantastic to be back. When I was away, I really missed being around the building as everyone who works here is fantastic. I missed seeing my friends and also getting to play Robbie."

What was the reason for the break?
"I had to take some time off as I was filming a second series of another show I do, Bad Education on BBC Three, which is a comedy sitcom. I was really grateful to the Hollyoaks team and Bryan the producer for letting me go away and do it.

"It worked out brilliantly on screen in the end as the viewers will know that Robbie was sent away after the Price Slice robbery, so he's been keeping a low profile for a bit!"

Were you sad to miss out on those early weeks with the full Roscoe family?
"Well, I got to work with them a little bit as we did a couple of episodes together as a family, but it was also nice because they all settled in well and had so much to do after I left. There are so many characters in the family, so it gave the viewers a chance to really get to know them.

"Now that I'm back, I've got a lot of stuff coming up with the Roscoe family, which we're all going to be involved in. It's been great fun filming that and there's a lot more to come."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/19/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family.jpg

What can we expect when Robbie makes his return?
"The thing I like about Robbie's return is that it's so unexpected on screen. You don't see him walking into the village beforehand, he just comes out of nowhere. When he does come back, he doesn't leave it long before something kicks off again!

"In the first week back, Robbie explains what's happened while he's been away, as he tells them that his uncle Ken has touched him inappropriately. That causes the whole family to kick off, especially when Ken comes to the house…"

Has Robbie learned from his previous mistakes?
"We'll have to see in the long-run! While Robbie's been away, he's definitely missed his family and the village. I don't think he enjoyed being away, especially after everything that's happened. In the next couple of weeks after that, you'll see how Robbie reacts to that and whether he has changed or not."

Sandy was the one who kicked Robbie out, so will they make amends?
"Definitely. When Robbie comes back, Sandy is happy to see him, but he has come from nowhere and once again he's doing what he wants to do without a care for anyone else. Even so, the Roscoes all love each other and there are no rivalries or trouble in the family. That's why Sandy is able to forgive her son."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/34/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-3684-1.jpg

Would you like Robbie to change his ways, or do you prefer playing the bad boy?
"I want Robbie to keep that element of being a bad boy, as that's who he is. There's trouble in every script I get and that's what I love about playing him. I never know what he's going to do next! I don't want Robbie to turn good, but I'm filming some scenes at the minute where you see that he does have a nice side and things do affect him. He's a normal boy, just a bit of a nutter."

Your background is comedy, so is it a challenge to play a bad boy?
"It's actually a nice change, because it is so different. It was challenging at the start, but it's easy to get used to it after a while. Robbie is an amazing character to be given, so I'm very grateful."

Are fans ever surprised to meet you and find that you're not like Robbie?
"Some of them are! A lot of people can't differentiate between on screen and off screen, but at the same time, there are a lot of people who can easily see that I'm not threatening at all!"

We've heard that your character will have a huge storyline in the autumn, so are you excited by what's coming up?
"I'm very excited, yes. I heard about the big storyline before I even got cast as Robbie, as we were talking about it in the audition process. There's a big, long story coming up for Robbie which will affect him and a lot of the characters around him. I can't wait. It's going to be challenging, but that's the case with a lot of things we do here at Hollyoaks."

We know that Ayden Callaghan, who plays Joe, is your housemate in real life. What's he like to live with?
"Well, I try not to disagree with him, looking at the size of him! (Laughs.) I enjoy living with Ayden. He has his own ways, but I'm so laid-back I don't really care what we do!"

'Hollyoaks' Nicole Barber-Lane: 'Myra thinks she is going to die'

Hollyoaks star Nicole Barber-Lane has said that Myra will believe she is going to die when Doctor Browning confronts her with a gun.

Viewers will see Myra fall into water after being shot by Browning (Joseph Thompson) in an explosive episode next week.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/34/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-3682-3.jpg

Barber-Lane said to All About Soap: "There is a bit of a chase, and they end up at the docks. She sees him with a gun and thinks, 'This is it!'

"She's worried about what he has done with Mercedes and she just wants him to calm down. But obviously it doesn't work.

"Browning is a psycho and as far as he's concerned, he just has to end this torment that he believes she's responsible for."

Barber-Lane also revealed that they filmed different scenarios for the way Browning shoots Myra.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/34/618x416/soaps-hollyoaks-3682-5.jpg

"We filmed the moment when he shoots Myra in two different ways - one was where Myra kept her cool. You know how you get so scared that you actually seem very calm?

"Then, in the other, she was hysterical. I'm not sure which one they are going to go for."

It was announced earlier this month that Barber-Lane would be bowing out of her role as Myra, as a result of the explosive shooting.

Speaking about her exit, the actress said: "I'm sad to be leaving all the people at Hollyoaks. Everyone there is so dedicated and passionate about what they are doing. It is a great place to work."

Wikipedia is NOT reliable. Anyone can edit that.

For what it's worth I don't think Myra or Mercedes are dead and that there will probably be a dream sequence to see how they escaped and probably showing a few scenes of Myra before she leaves for good.

Dr B is definitely not going until October like I said, so he will leave briefly and make a short return before going which means that Mercedes must still be around because there isn't really anything else to keep him around, well he could try and get revenge on Jim but that's about it!

"It's been fantastic and I couldn't ask for more support. If the audience likes you, it makes everything so much easier because it gives you a bit more confidence over what you're doing and the acting choices that you're making. There are always fans waiting outside the gates which is great too. Although that can be a bit hard if Alfie [Browne-Sykes, who plays Jason] isn't with me, because they start crying then!"

Were you always confident the character and the Roscoe family would go down well, or has it taken you by surprise?
"It's a little bit of both, really. I didn't meet little Charlie [Wernham] until the screen test, but I'd already seen Fab [Santino], Alf and Ayden [Callaghan] in the audition and we always knew that we'd be called back together. When we were called back and little Charlie came in, I thought that we weren't a bad bunch of boys and we did work well together.

"We also gained huge momentum when Gillian Taylforth was brought in, which was a masterstroke by the producer Bryan because of her experience and how she could give support and advice to the rest of us. At that point I thought that we might have a fair crack at this, but it has been a surprise to see that the feedback is so positive.

"Also, when they brought in Sophie Austin who plays Lindsey, that took us even further because she's such a strong and independent actress. We really couldn't ask for anything more!"

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/21/618x411/roscoes-2.jpg

How have you felt about getting such big stories straight away?
"I can't thank the producers and the writers enough for that. Each filming block is like a little mini-film for me at the minute, as the writing and the way we're shooting things is all so good. I've had at least seven or eight really great blocks, and I really didn't think that we'd be able to produce some of the quality that we are.

"We've had some great directors in recently like Alex Jacob and Ian White, who take the time to sit down with us and rehearse things, so we really do understand the stories we're telling, why we're telling them and our part in them. It's so nice to be able to do that kind of detailed work when we're working at such a fast pace. When I watch myself back in the edit, it's also important to look back and see what I can improve."

How does Freddie feel when DS Trent's father arrives in the village next week?
"At first I don't think Freddie really clocks what is going on. The first thing he does is whack him over the head and be done with him for the time being! As the story unfolds, Freddie finds it really hard to look this man in the eye, because he buried his son.

"It was actually really hard filming some of those scenes, because it's so hard to have to look someone in the eye in those circumstances. There's absolutely nothing that Freddie can offer this man in terms of answers without landing himself in trouble."

In the end, Freddie makes the big decision to hand himself into the police, and take Trevor down with him. What's going through his mind?
"It's the ultimate self-sacrifice, which is a great thing to play. Freddie's had a horrible cloud hanging over him ever since he buried DS Trent, as have Freddie's family and Sinead. He thinks the only way to clear his conscience is to do the time. It also means he can wipe out Trevor, who's making his life hell and could make his family's life hell.

"Freddie thinks it's a cracking idea and it's lovely that his heart is being shown. He does have courage and he's not always stupid. His decision comes from a good place, which is really nice."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/35/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-3689-2.jpg

When Trevor finds out what's going on, he kidnaps Freddie. Can you tell us about those scenes?
"They were pretty horrible to film, because I'm six foot three and just under 15 stone, and was tied up in the boot of a car! It was difficult really, because I get pretty claustrophobic. At the same time, it was also really enjoyable.

"Freddie is looking at his own demise now as he knows that if he can't think of something fast, he's going to die. He wonders why he hasn't told Lindsey that he loves her. He also knows that if he dies now, nobody will have the right idea about him - they'll just see him as a lowlife who spent his last few weeks working for a gangster.

"It was also great to work with Greg [Wood] who plays Trevor on these scenes. He's got a great presence on screen, and it is intimidating when you've got a guy who looks like Greg pointing a gun at you! It does make you shake a little bit, so I didn't have to do too much work there!"

We've seen a lot of interest in the Freddie/Lindsey connection. Have you enjoyed that storyline?
"Immensely. Sophie is such a good actress, because she'll give you everything in the performance. She'll give you a better performance in your shots than hers! Sophie gives everything she can in a scene to make it as truthful and honest as possible, and that's the ticket to telling the best stories, really.

"It's such an interesting dynamic. I think Lindsey uses Freddie sometimes, without even realising it. She sometimes forgets that she can speak to him more than anyone else. Lindsey can probably tell Freddie things that she couldn't tell Joe, as we've already seen. It genuinely kills Freddie every time he sees Lindsey and realises that he can't be with her. It's quite tragic, but it's great to have a storyline that's about true love."

If Freddie survives the Trevor drama, would you like him to become a good boy or have more action scenes?
"I'd really like to see more drama and action, as that's a lot more interesting as an actor. I don't think Freddie Roscoe's got it in him to behave! I can't see the character being quiet, and if he was, I think the viewers would be tweeting me to say that he's become boring!

"Freddie is not stupid and naïve, there's just something missing from him - it's either common sense or a certain thought pattern sometimes. That invites him into so many other storylines, and it's great to be involved in so many different strands."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/35/618x451/soaps-hollyoaks-3689-1.jpg

Are you pleased to see Charlie Wernham back on set after his break?
"It's great to have Charlie back. Robbie brings something else to the family, as he's the only Roscoe brother with a sheer nasty streak. The other brothers are capable of acting like that, but Robbie has it permanently engrained within him and the dynamics of the family work a lot better when he's around."

Are there any cast members who you're keen to share more screen time with?
"There's a few! I've said before that I'd really like to work with James Atherton, because I think it would be a really interesting connection. James is an actor I really admire and I think he's going to have a really great career.

"I'd also really like to work with Fabrizio a little bit more. Out of the brothers, I've worked with the others but I'd like Freddie to do more with Ziggy. I'd love to see Ziggy end up in a little bit of trouble with Freddie one day. But I really can't complain as the people I've worked with have all been great, so I'd better not rock the boat!"

'Hollyoaks' Jesse Birdsall: 'Fraser has a ruthless, dark side'

Hollyoaks star Jesse Birdsall has praised the latest twist involving his character Fraser Black.

Earlier this evening (September 6), Channel 4 viewers saw Fraser unveiled as Trevor Royle's boss.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/27/618x403/soaps-jesse-birdsall.jpg

Speaking to Digital Spy, Birdsall said: "It was suggested to me when I went into the initial meeting that there were some underlying problems with Fraser. He certainly does have a dark side.

"He likes to keep everyone on a bit of a leash. Trevor does most of his dirty work now - he doesn't like to get his hands too dirty but he may have to in the future.

"It's a really good storyline I've got going on there and I have really enjoyed filming it so far."

Despite Trevor's involvement in a dark underworld, Birdsall insisted that Sandy and the Roscoe family are not currently in danger.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/21/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family.jpg

Birdsall said: "They are not in danger at the moment. As to whether they could be further up the line, I'm not sure, but at the moment they are not.

"Fraser is very much in love with Sandy. He has very much fallen for her and he is hoping to have the family unit with her that he never had.

"He does have a nice side - that is part of the fun of playing him. Fraser is one thing to one set of people and another thing to another set of people.

"It is all about how successfully he can marry the two together, whilst not getting found out. He does have a nice, gentle side but underneath that is a ruthless human being."

'Hollyoaks' Jim McGinn proposes to Carmel McQueen

Hollyoaks' Carmel McQueen will be delighted when boyfriend Jim McGinn pops the question.

Carmel (Gemma Merna) has been having a tough time following her mum's 'death', unaware that Myra is actually alive.

Next week, things go from bad to worse for Carmel when she is injured after a scam goes wrong and left terrified when Trevor kicks down her door.

Unbeknown to her, Nana McQueen and Theresa have arranged for a fake robbery at home after learning that they would not be receiving a payout for Myra's shooting.

Jim then rides in on a white horse to save the day and Carmel is thrilled when he asks her to marry him.

Merna said to Inside Soap: "Jim turns up on a horse in full costume and proposes to Carmel - of course she says yes!

"She's over the moon. Jim has been fantastic and Myra's last words to her were, 'Don't let him go!' He's a good guy and he loves her for herself."

He got half of it from Dr. Browning, as Jim made him sell it to 'leave' hollyoaks, but then Mercy stopped him from leaving but it was too late, Trevor already got his half. (He then made Freddie steal the money he bought the club for, so he basically got it for free)

'Hollyoaks': Sophie Austin on tragic Lindsey, Joe story

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/23/618x531/soaps-hollyoaks-sophie-austin-lindsey-butterfield.jpg

Hollyoaks' Lindsey Butterfield and Joe Roscoe are left devastated next week as they lose their unborn baby.

The tragic development comes after Lindsey is knocked over by Frankie Osborne (Helen Pearson) in a car accident.

Digital Spy recently caught up with Sophie Austin, who plays Lindsey, for her thoughts on the tough storyline.

How did you feel about taking on this baby loss storyline?
"I've been really chuffed with all of the storylines that I've been given, as well as future material that we're filming at the moment. I couldn't have asked for a better start in the show.

"This storyline in particular was quite scary at first, because I really wanted to make it believable and as good as it could be. It's a very emotional story which is great as an actress, but you also need to make sure that you're respecting people who've been through it in real life. I've had a few people close to me who have been through this kind of experience, so I've been able to gently ask them for help.

"It's also a great opportunity for myself and Ayden [Callaghan, who plays Joe] on screen, as it's our first big thing as a couple. It's been a really good chance to show the relationship more and develop it. It's taken a lot out of both of us as we had a week of filming some very heavy stuff, but it's a great challenge."

When did you find out this was coming up?
"We had a proper meeting where it was all explained to us. It's great that our producer Bryan Kirkwood had the confidence in me to portray this story."

How does Lindsey cope with the situation?
"It's a hard one, because with the job that she does, Lindsey is quite good at putting her war paint on and getting on with things. At first there's fleeting moments where she has a breakdown, but then she tries to act as though everything is fine.

"With the way Lindsey's relationship with Joe develops and the stories which develop on from this, there'll be some great scenes where both characters break down so badly. Those were so brilliant to film, especially as Lindsey starts to feel as though she can let her guard down more with Joe. The story doesn't just finish with the loss of the baby and the shock of it, it actually leads on to a lot of things for both characters."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/36/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-joe-roscoe-sandy-roscoe.jpg

What was it like to film the accident itself?
"It was brilliant. I was able to do my own stunt, so I was quite chuffed with that because it's quite unusual. We had an amazing director who was really gentle and considerate to us as actors. Even though we were doing quite a dramatic scene, I had the likes of Helen Pearson and Jimmy McKenna making me laugh, so it was great."

How does Lindsey feel about Frankie's involvement? Is she looking to blame somebody?
"I think Lindsey is definitely looking to blame somebody. It's the first time something like this has happened to her, so she's extremely angry at Frankie, and that comes out quite a bit. She's not best pleased with her, put it that way!"

The viewers will know that Ziggy forgot to service the car that Frankie is driving. Does he admit to that?
"No, Ziggy doesn't admit to it, but it's really awful for him. All of those Roscoe boys have really good hearts, regardless of how they act out. Ziggy sees Lindsey as like a sister, so he feels tremendous guilt. It's quite sad, because it wasn't intentional at all, and Ziggy could never have imagined that it would lead to this. But Lindsey doesn't find out about that. Maybe she will later on, who knows?"

There's also a whole other drama going on as Joe could be Jack's son. How does Lindsey feel about that?
"Lindsey is quite shielded from that situation, because she is dealing with the loss of the baby. She's involved at first, as she hears Ruby telling Ziggy that it's a possibility. Lindsey wants to go straight to Joe to tell him this because she doesn't want to lie to him, but that's when she gets hit by the car. Lindsey's involvement then gets sidelined. It's quite sad, because she can't be there for Joe as much as she'd like to be."

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/36/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-joe-roscoe-jack-osborne-darren-osborne.jpg

We'll see that Freddie wishes he could be the one to support Lindsey. Does she have any idea how he feels?
"I think she's totally in the dark. I absolutely love Freddie and Lindsey's relationship. Charlie who plays Freddie is absolutely brilliant at every single look he does in those scenes. But I think Lindsey just sees Freddie as her best friend. She confides in him a lot about what's happened with the baby, but she'd be quite devastated if she knew how he really feels, because she'd feel like she was losing him as a brother.

"Freddie is quite good at hiding his feelings, I think. If he ever had a long, suspicious look, Lindsey would probably think he'd just done something wrong and was trying to hide it!"

Would you say the fans have a preference between Lindsey/Joe and Lindsey/Freddie?
"There are two quite big teams! There's 'Team Freddie' and 'Team Joe', but they all seem to be quite close friends within themselves. I think people expect Lindsey and Freddie to get together eventually, but they can also see that Joe is a really sweet guy. The groups are quite even and there's a real mixture.

"Even my family get really involved in it. My older sister wants me to get with Freddie, while my younger sister wants me to stay with Joe! They're both good-looking, so I'm not complaining!"

Now that you're settled in on Hollyoaks, what kind of a reaction have you had from the fans?
"It's been a really positive reaction. I've been overwhelmed, really, as I've only seen lovely comments and feedback for the whole Roscoe clan. I couldn't have asked for a better response."

We've heard that October will be a huge month for Hollyoaks with the 18th birthday coming up. Will Lindsey and the Roscoes be involved?
"Yes, I think the whole cast are going to be involved. It's going to be a phenomenal time for Hollyoaks. Everyone is putting so much hard work in and I don't want to give anything away, because I want people to see the work for themselves. It's going to be brilliant, though. I'm so proud of the cast and crew.

"I've never worked anywhere that works so hard as Hollyoaks. It's a really big team effort and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've been doing. I haven't even told my mum what's happening as my family all want to be surprised, but there's going to be some really great moments - very memorable stuff!"

'Hollyoaks' James Atherton: 'Anna murder scenes are heartbreaking'

Hollyoaks star James Atherton has said that the scenes where his character Will Savage murders his mum are heartbreaking.

As Anna (Saskia Wickham) continues her threats to expose his true nature, Will drowns her by holding her underwater in the bath next week.

http://i1.cdnds.net/12/30/618x634/will-savage.jpg

Atherton said to Inside Soap: "Will carries out the most horrendous crime that anyone could ever commit.

"It's really heartbreaking because he doesn't want to kill Anna. After he has done it, he ends up crying like a little boy."

Speaking about the shocking scenes, Atherton said: "It's really creepy - Will goes about the murder in a very gentle way. He's calm, methodical and really quite calm when he is doing it.

"What is so disturbing is that Anna has an acceptance of her death, because she blames herself for how Will has turned out."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/36/618x412/soaps-hollyoaks-crime-will-savage-anna-blake-2.jpg

Afterwards, Will makes an escape, leaving Patrick Blake to find Anna dead when he pays a visit to the ward.

Atherton said: "The idea was that Anna's death would look like suicide. But after Ash wakes up, she puts the notion in his head that Patrick could have killed Anna.

"So Will then plants his dead mum's locket in Patrick's house."

'Hollyoaks' Helen Pearson: 'Frankie is horrified after cheating'

Hollyoaks star Helen Pearson has admitted that her character Frankie Osborne will be "horrified" after she cheats on husband Jack.

As seen in pictures released earlier this week, Frankie will soon have a passionate encounter with Ziggy Roscoe amid a troubled time for her marriage.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/38/618x648/soaps-hollyoaks-helen-pearson-frankie-osborne.jpg

Frankie allows herself to be wooed by Ziggy even after he admits that he forgot to service her car at the garage, causing a tragic road accident.

Pearson told Inside Soap: "She's totally knocked over by Ziggy's charm. At first, she's furious when he tells her he didn't fix her car, because Frankie has taken the blame for running over Lindsey, who later lost her baby.

"But then Ziggy tells her how beautiful she looks, and they end up kissing."

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/37/618x409/soaps-hollyoaks-3698-4.jpg

On what Frankie will do next, the actress continued: "She'll feel absolutely horrified. And Ziggy is also Ruby's boyfriend, so it's a double betrayal. But once something like this has happened, it's very easy for it to happen again."

In real life, Pearson has recently tied the knot with her partner Paul Faulkner.

She laughed: "I said to my new husband Paul, 'I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to kiss this boy!' He was very cool about it, though."

'Hollyoaks' to film in Northern Ireland next week

Hollyoaks cast and crew members will travel to Northern Ireland next week to film a special storyline on-location.

Five characters on the Channel 4 soap will be involved in a plotline which is being shot in Derry.

Phoebe McQueen (Mandip Gill) and Vincent Elegba (John Omole) will be at the centre of the story as they visit the city to get married, needing a quick way to keep Vincent in the country. However, whether the risky plan will succeed remains to be seen.

A show spokesperson confirmed: "Hollyoaks is known for its exciting storylines that often take viewers outside of the village.

"We are looking forward to shooting in Derry."

Derry is the UK City of Culture this year, and a number of its prominent landmarks are expected to feature on screen in Hollyoaks.

Shona McCarthy, chief executive of Culture Company 2013, told UTV: "The city is looking so fantastic at the minute - I'm sure it's going to shine like a real star of the show when the storyline airs on Channel 4 later this autumn."

Filming is expected to take place over the course of five days.

OMG at the Roscoe/Osborne secret, it will be interesting to see the explanation:o.

'Hollyoaks' airs shocking Osborne, Roscoe twist

Hollyoaks aired another shocking storyline twist this evening (September 20) as Darren Osborne was revealed as Sandy Roscoe's secret son.

Viewers of E4's first look screening saw Sandy (Gillian Taylforth) drop the bombshell publicly amid an argument with the Osborne family at The Dog In The Pond.

http://i1.cdnds.net/13/04/618x648/soaps-hollyoaks-ashley-taylor-dawson-darren-osborne-2.jpg

In recent weeks, fans and characters alike have speculated over the mystery connection between Sandy and Jack Osborne (Jimmy McKenna), with most believing that Jack was the real father of Sandy's eldest son Joe.

Show bosses kept the real story under wraps to provide an element of surprise for viewers.

Tonight's E4 episode saw a furious Joe (Ayden Callaghan) confront the Osborne family as they celebrated Jack and Frankie's vow renewals at The Dog.

Joe was shocked that the clan could celebrate so soon after Frankie ran over his fiancée Lindsey Butterfield in a road accident, leading to the tragic loss of their unborn baby.

http://i2.cdnds.net/13/19/618x411/soaps-hollyoaks-roscoe-family.jpg

A huge row kicked off with Joe punching Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson), until an emotional Sandy took control of the situation by revealing the shocking truth.

The storyline continues next week as Monday's first look episode delves deeper into the twist.

A Hollyoaks source told Digital Spy: "Jack and Sandy both have a lot of explaining to do. It's obvious that there is a secret affair in their past, but Darren and Joe will want to know the reason why they've been lied to for all these years. It's touch and go as to whether either family can recover from this."
