How anyone can take that seriously is beyond me
you two sound like Holocaust deniers at this stage, the Israelis have released body cam footage from Hamas terrorists now due to people refusing to believe any atrocites were carried out, shameful that they have to do this, not saying bombing Gaza is any better but no one is denying that is happening

Pointing out that that tweet is propaganda is in no way contingent on the truth of the claim made or on believing that Hamas have carried out other attrocities. The style, focus and intent of the tweet is clear propaganda. CLEAR propaganda. Perhaps misunderstanding that propaganda is necessarily un-truthful is what makes people more susceptible to progaganda? "This doesn't seem to be definitely factually false, therefore it isn't propaganda". Hmm.
I stand by the opinion that its (extremely unsubtle) war propaganda, of the type that is used to justify genocide. Of - in fact - the very same sort that was used in the lead up to WW2. All too familiar, which is a VERY odd situation.
Screeching "holocaust deniers!!!" is just some Godwin lark that I'm not really inclined to pay any attention to at all. It is literally the prototypical strawman.

i would like to see if you remain calm and objective if all your family and friends have just been slaughtered. We cannot conceive how the people in Israel feel when all their nearest neighbouring countries want to wipe them out and have stated it proudly. Israel have never once said they want to wipe Palestine off the face of the earth, even after all this

You're conflating "understandable" with "beyond criticism" again BOTS. Yes it's understandable that the people directly involved in (any) conflict will have extreme emotions and an accompanying lack of objectivity, which is why it's important that those who are NOT directly involved remain objective and level-headed enough to call out those extremes, rather than piggybacking on the emotion.
I've said before (and meant it) that I'd press a button that kills the entire world to save my family. I would. I would genuinely hit the button. I wouldn't hesitate. But in the cold light of day when that's not a situation I'm in ... I can still say if there's a bystander stood next to me watching me about to push the button, I hope they would try to stop me, and not just say "Ahh I get where you're coming from, have at it".

Just on this part... of course they've never said it :umm2:. Their intent and desire has been clear for... erm... about 75 years. That's not to say they want to kill everyone there. I think they'd be just as happy if they all simply left. But they do want the land. They just ... do.

Macron says the same international coalition which has fought the Islamic State group since 2014 could also "fight" against Hamas.
"[Israel] is not alone... France is ready for the coalition which is fighting in Iraq and Syria against IS to also fight against Hamas," Macron says.
Macron also warns the militant group Hezbollah and Iran against opening a new front on Israel's northern border.
Further escalation in the north would "open the door to a regional conflagration from which every party would lose", he says.

You must know that the military-industrial complex has a strong vested interest in supporting Israel in escalating bombing campaigns/ground invasions of Gaza and especially in escalating the conflict to Yemen, Iran, etc. Alf? Surely the anti-NWO boards are absolutely buzzing with ideas about the real motivations behind this conflict.
I haven't seen you post much on this thread though.
I suppose possible false flag hospital bombings are a bit more serious than Hunter Biden's Laptop. A bit too real.

Yes just like there are people who don't believe that an Israeli air strike hit a hospital in Gaza: the whole conflict is saturated with misinformation and propaganda.
I'm really the opposite of a holocaust denier:
1) I believe that Hamas has committed terrorist atrocities in Israel
2) I believe that Israel has committed war crimes and deliberately targetted civilians and hospitals
Because this is a vicious conflict with no "right side of history" to be on, other than to feel empathy for the innocent people caught in the middle of a global-politican melting pot that is -- AS ALWAYS -- about land and resources, nothing else.

Both Biden and Sunak have said the intelligence suggests it was most likely a Hamas rocket which caused that explosion.
I suppose you'll say that's propoganda but not sure why the alternative explanation - that it was an Israeli strike - is apparently so ironclad?

Well of course they said that. They are after all, on the side of Israel.
Two weeks before all this started, Netanyahu showed a map during the General Assembly of the United Nations which showed permanently eliminating Gaza. The map of where once Gaza was, shows it now belonging to Israel and is called 'The New Map of the Middle East.

I suppose you'll say that's propoganda but not sure why the alternative explanation - that it was an Israeli strike - is apparently so ironclad?
Because of Occam's Razor, is the short answer. Hamas was supposedly in the hospital, Israel had made it clear that they were striking Hamas targets regardless of "human shields", Israel initially took "credit" for the attack and then withdrew and - when the extend of collateral damage was clear - changed the story to it being a Hamas misfire and/or false flag depending on who was speaking. They also released footage "proving" that it was a misfired Hamas rocket that was debunked as having been historical footage. Then removed that too.
Biden and Sunak saying it was a Hamas rocket means as little as Blair and Bush's WMD's in Iraq. Convenient fiction. I won't say it's propaganda because that's not what propaganda is.
This is just another example of how war blinds people to reality. The UN saying that there is no fuel to run hospitals, but hamas has been stockpiling it. The UN secretary general justifying the slaughter of israeli innocents by terrorists. War clouds peoples judgements. Life is complicated, war is complicated. No-one wins in a war really. Israel will still face terror attacks even if it completely wipes out hamas. To stop it being attacked, it would need to wipe out nearly every country in the middle east.
This is why we in the west need to be super careful it doesn't escalate because it could easily be a WW3 trigger point and create massive civil unrest in the countries themselves. World demographics are in no way comparable to what was presented in WW2

The Turkish Leader
said he backs Hamas,
in his Parliament
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/turkeys-erdogan-says-hamas-is-not-terrorist-organisation-2023-10-25/
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has described Hamas as "a liberation group" waging a battle to protect its land, in comments that will cause deep anger in Israel.
Hamas - or in some cases its military wing - has been designated a terrorist group by Israel, the US, the EU and the UK, as well as other countries.
More than 1,400 people were killed in Hamas's attacks on Israel on 7 October, mostly civilians targeted in communities near the Gaza border.
In a fiery speech in Turkey's parliament, Erdogan said he was cancelling plans to visit Israel.
He said he had shaken the hand of Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, but that Netanyahu had abused Turkey's good intentions.
The two leaders met last month at a UN summit in New York - in what was seen at the time as another significant sign of improved relations between their countries.
Is there a link to this? I thought Israel claimed it was Hamas very early on. I actually don't think it's that likely that they would intentionally strike a hospital. There was also footage of rockets being launched right by the hospital which was independently verified by the BBC I believe.
To me the pictures from the site don't suggest a missile strike - no big crater, little damage to the structure, just a few burned out cars etc.

but not saying anything about the deaths of innocent palestinians
oh Benjamin you could've won some goodwill from me if only you sympathized with the deaths of the innocents in Gaza, rather than solely obsessing over exterminating Hamas whatever the cost
the innocent palestinian victims aren't just ''collateral damage'' or ''numbers'' they have names, they left families behind too
if you want peace between Israel and Palestine, first step is to sympathize with the victims families over in Gaza
but yeah Hamas must be wiped out i agree, the way they are hiding behind several palestinian innocents is also pretty much disgusting (even having put up roadblocks few weeks ago to prevent palestinians from leaving Gaza)

well, hamas hide behind civilians, silly to pretend otherwise. They care nothing for their own peoples lives
So let's say a man has committed a mass shooting, then goes home to his wife and kids, and the police show up outside. The man is armed and firing at them from a window. There's no way to bust in, the police can only attack from the outside. The innocent wife and children are in the room with the killer, and they can't leave; all of the doors are locked and barricaded. The killer has totally snapped, he doesn't care about his family dying any more, he wants to take them with him whatever happens.
...essentially what you're saying is, the police would then be justified in throwing a grenade in the window, and blowing them all to pieces.
If you read that story in the paper, would you say "Ahh well, he was hiding behind those kids "
If not, I'd urge you to explain how the situation in Palestine isn't the same, multiplied by ten thousand dead children.
This "They use them as human shields so oh well!" argument is constantly being used to defend war crimes and atrocities. We don't accept it in life. We wouldn't accept a police officer shooting a kid in the head to hit the terrorist literally holding a child in front of himself in a UK airport. Everyone would be utterly horrified. "A million dead children is a statistic", and all that bull**** I suppose.

"Sure!"
"Would Israel fake stuff?"
"Neverrrrr how dare you, holocaust denierzzz :fist: :fist:"

(Yes the last quote refers to other comments in this thread not yours, but the sentiment remains.)
FWIW yes I believe that Hamas (or other Palestinians, let's not conflate the two more than is already being done) would fake videos as war propaganda, because... it's war... and there's propaganda. Ukraine was using a BOATLOAD of faked footage - no one had very much to say about that. I just also believe that Israel has been false-flagging and blame shifting throughout the entire conflict. But that's a controversial opinion, for some reason. I've seen Israeli officials insisting that it's "simple", that there are "the good guys and the bad guys, there's good and there's EVILZ!" in various interviews.
Apparently that smooth-brained notion is infectious.

History proves that far from "eradicating" the terrorists, it will prompt a massive increase in recruitment for terrorist organisations across the entire middle east, and there will be more terrorism than before. We know this. Everyone here - if they'll stop playing pretend-incredulous for 5 minutes - knows this. None of us are that young. We've all seen it at least once. Plenty here more than once.

Russia and the US have ongoing beef over the Middl East that has nothing to do with Ukraine, and if it spirals "out of control" then it's not out of control at all, its a completely controlled and deliberate land grab.
At this point anyone who can't see what's happening is either completely biased/blinkered, or doesn't know their Middle East politics/recent history.

Hamas has stockpiled vital fuel, medicines and food while ordinary Gazans are running short on essentials, reports say.
According to both Arab and Western officials, Hamas has been stockpiling supplies for years, which they have stored in tunnels they prepared for the possibility of a protracted war.
The terrorist group spent two decades building the labyrinthine network of underground tunnels, which make a central part of its defences.
The tunnel network is said to have entrances hidden beneath schools, mosques and houses and are estimated to be 300 miles long with lighting, electricity and rail tracks for transport.
A senior Lebanese official said Hamas could fight for between three and four months without the need to resupply, the New York Times reported.
When hostage Yocheved Lifshitz was released by Hamas earlier this week, the 85-year-old told of how her captors gave her food and personal hygiene supplies.
They seemed ready for this, they prepared for a long time, they had everything that men and women needed, including shampoo,” Ms Lifshitz said.
“We ate the same food they did pitas with cream cheese, melted cheese, cucumbers. That was a meal for an entire day,” she added.
Earlier this week the Israeli Defence Forces published aerial photographs of fuel tanks in a location near the Rafah border in the south of the Gaza strip.
The IDF Arabic spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said: “This is what over half a million litres of diesel looks like, while Hamas keeps claiming it does not have enough fuel to support hospitals and bakeries.”
The IDF’s post said: “Hamas-Isis steals this fuel from civilians and transfers it to its tunnels, rocket launchers and leaders. This is what Hamas’s list of priorities looks like.”
Fuel shortages
In response to the constant bombardment of Gaza, the UN humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian territories, Lynne Hastings, said that “hospitals & humanitarian operations can’t continue without communications”.
Between the bombardments and the fuel shortages, 12 of Gaza’s 35 hospitals have been forced to close.
The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said it has had to “significantly reduce its operations”.
More than than 1.4 million people inside Gaza have been displaced, according to the UN, while supplies of food, water and power to the crowded territory have been almost completely cut off.
Israel has blocked all deliveries of fuel, saying it would be exploited by Hamas to manufacture weapons and explosives.
The Palestinians can't catch a break, their own government does not care about them yet Israel is expected to?

I didn't know that Kenny from BBCAN2 was bringing his catchphrase to the pro-Palestine march.
But seriously the only way peace will be achieved at this point is for both Israel and Hamas to reach a compromise.
For example:
1. Israel keeps Jerusalem.
2. Palestine becomes an independent country from Israel.
3. They both have to sign a treaty to never harm each other for the next 50 years+
Obviously I'm not a Politician, but I'm sure they should be able to get these two communities to reach a compromise, otherwise why the **** are they Politicians in the first place if they can't resolve conflicts?

It only seems "odd" because this is one of the first conflicts on this scale since Social Media took off; there's no more or less misinformation than there ever has been in war, and the media has always dutifully reported it in this way. There was just no large mainstream counter-narrative or alternative sources of information.
But I can guarantee that there's nothing substantially different about the media narratives around this war than around the Gulf wars, Vietnam, World Wars, Roman Empire...

The devastated mum of a 22-year-old woman kidnapped by Hamas militants on October 7 has confirmed she has died after being given false hope.
Shani Louk, a tattoo artist from Germany, was attending the Supernova festival in southern Israel and was among the hostages taken to Gaza. A horrifying video shared widely online showed Shani's partially clothed body being carried through the streets on the back of a pick-up truck driven by Hamas gunmen, but her mum Ricarda said she had received a tip-off that her daughter was still alive. However the grief-stricken parent has now announced she's been told Shani is dead.
She told German broadcaster RTL/ntv: "Unfortunately, we received the news yesterday that my daughter is no longer alive." Her sister Adi also confirmed the death of Shani on a post on Instagram, writing: "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of my sister." The circumstances around her death remain unclear and it is not known where her body was found. There has been no official confirmation from the German Foreign Ministry.
A cousin of the woman said the family received an official notice from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and ZAKA, a voluntary team of paramedics, saying that a bone from the base of a skull had been found - and matched Shani's DNA. According to The Jerusalem Post, doctors concluded she could not possibly be still alive as a person cannot live without the bone found.
After Shani was kidnapped, her mum shared a distressing video begging for help, saying: "This morning my daughter, Shani Nicole Louk, was kidnapped with a group of tourists in southern Israel by Palestinian Hamas. We were sent a video in which I could clearly see our daughter unconscious in the car with the Palestinians and them driving around the Gaza Strip. I ask you to send us any help or any news. Thank you very much."

It's a massively dividing conflict because for likely the majority of people thinking of Israeli victims and Palestinian victims is near heartbreaking at the senseless losses of lives on both sides.
Yes Hamas are terrorists and they inflamed the tensions to war again this month.
Israel however needs to respond rightly but within international humanity laws.
Hamas don't and don't care.
However Israel needs to not follow the Hamas route on that.
I had concerns when Natanyahu was elected but hoped for the fragile scenario to continue.
I am however fed up of the antisemitic accusations fired at people who DON'T like Natanyahu or the Israeli government.
That's totally ridiculous and does a massive injustice to real antisemitic thinking and action.
I've had it thrown at me on here and it's grossly insulting.
From what you've said I cannot see where you've EVER come across.like a Jew hater.
That may suit some to stir up divisions and attack individuals who only really care about senseless loss of lives.
Those accusations are dangerous and disgraceful to make on here by anyone.
I don't care who they are or think they are.
I myself and I think the majority of the world want peace in that region.
For both Israel and Palestine.
If as much effort was put into achieving that and trying to unite rather than trying to divide.
That would be better than throwing false accusations of being antisemitic to people to further ignite divisions.
When it's not antisemitism at all.
No government even our own.
Should be able to.just do anything with a blank cheque given.
Criticising the Israeli leadership and governnent is NOT antisemitism.
Just as supporting Palestinian citizens isn't antisemitism either.
.
Supporting Hamas and it's vile cruel actions, well that's very different.
Because they are an abomination to reason and any decency.

2,000,000 German civilians died in WWII
we managed to make peace with that
Part of "making peace with that" was establishing a whole boatload of new international laws to outline war tactics that would be considered war crimes.
Such as bombing refugee camps.

we all know that war rules are only accepted in very specific circumstances. Similarly, UN resolutions (when they can actually get them through) mean absolutely nothing.
If you start calling Israel war criminals, what good does that then do? They have several levels more they can go to without blinking and while America and the UK may tut tut. They will always back Israel 100% behind the scenes

What good does it do to call war crimes war crimes? Hmm. What good does it do to call a rapist a rapist when 99% of them will never be convicted? Doesn't mean I'm going to stop calling them what they are.
"The world is hideously corrupt" really isn't a good reason not to.

do you even believe that?
the reason he is in power, due to corruption, same as Putin in Russia
Yes,

And would be taken out of power.

this is why bombings are stupid, should've more been done another way, with special forces commando's highly trained to take down terrorist thugs, without killing too many innocent civilians
also ordering evacuations is likely to alert the terrorists in that area too
Benny doesn't think things through sadly (this new bombing incident is more food for his haters tbh)

As I said in the other thread, other Arab countries in the region know full well the consequences of getting in the way of an indiscriminate west-sanctioned bombing campaign. How many countries reduced to rubble now? No one wants to be next on the list. You'll continue to ignore this and run with your own very thinly veiled agenda-driven narrative though.

That's been done to appease all the people deserting the labour party
The warning from the director of the FBI this week was stark.
Addressing a Senate panel alongside the US Homeland Security Secretary on Tuesday, Director Christopher Gray said the terror threat to Americans had been "elevated throughout 2023" but after 7 October Hamas attacks on Israel it had risen "to a whole other level".
It is a concern shared on both sides of the Atlantic with the UK prime minister chairing a Cobra crisis meeting on Monday attended by MI5 and counter-terrorism policing to discuss how to mitigate the increased threat of terrorism.
The UK government suspects Iranian agents may be actively stoking unrest amongst the recent pro-Palestinian protests in British cities.
Currently, the UK national terror threat level, set by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, remains unchanged at substantial - meaning a terrorist attack is thought "likely".
But, the surge in violence in the Middle East has led counter-terrorism officials to worry about two areas of increased threat.
One of those comes from the growing international outrage at the very high level of civilian casualties amongst Palestinians caused by Israel's air and artillery strikes on Gaza as it seeks to eliminate Hamas’s fighting capabilities.
The other is the risk extremist groups could be inspired by the Hamas-led attacks on Israel on 7 October.
The FBI Director told senators those actions "will serve as an inspiration the likes of which we haven’t seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate years ago".

If the aid trucks are to be allowed in then why aren't all the aid trucks really needed being allowed to do so.
All that's being said is aid is being allowed in but nowhere near anything like enough will be.
This is really getting worrying now.
Probably not too just for this area of the middle East but the wider World too.
The UK for instance has always either made or contributed to, and left almost as much a mess as when they allowed themselves to get involved in Middle East situations.
It's like the major powers and possible influences are just in a talking shop and not making any push to bring peace, even a fragile one again, to the region.
The UK, our PM and government included..
They seem impotent rather than just soundbites.
Starmer hasn't an answer either.
Plus where are the LibDems, sitting on the fence as usual contributing little to nothing even to the debate.
While the UK citizens it appears are getting confused and growingly fatigued at words not backed up with more peaceful efforts action.
This is now going into the 4th week of this.
Yet the only seeming outcome is a much greater bloodbath to come for both sides.
What an almighty mess.

https://nltimes.nl/2023/11/01/bij1-activists-project-controversial-pro-palestinian-slogan-next-dutch-pms-office
Activists from the BIJ1 party projected the slogan "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" onto the Mauritshuis in The Hague, the building that is located next to the Prime Minister's office. The party reported this on X. The slogan is deemed antisemitic by some because it is interpreted as denying Israel's right to exist.
The party, which holds one seat in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of the Dutch parliament, said it aims with this action “to oppose the ever-increasing pressure on our freedom of expression to show solidarity with the Palestinians and their struggle against the colonization of the country.”
The slogan expressed the desire for a Palestinian state stretching from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, areas that encompass both the Palestinian territories and the entire land area of Israel. It is controversial and is perceived by some as a call for the end of the state of Israel, while others see it primarily as a statement of support for the Palestinian cause.
The use of the slogan has been prohibited in the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of the Dutch parliament, due to its perceived antisemitic connotation. Several politicians, including VVD leader Dilan Yeşilgöz and GroenLinks-PvdA party leader Frans Timmermans, are against its use.
Parties like BIJ1 and DENK, on the contrary, argue the slogan advocates for a single state that includes space for Jewish residents. "In reality, the slogan is a call for equal rights for Palestinians and an end to the occupation by Israel,” BIJ said on Wednesday.
The projection was a "totally disgusting action," according to Naomi Mestrum, director of the Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI), AD reported. "I don't understand what they aim to achieve with this and why they seek further polarization. I see no effort here to even try to prevent escalating tensions in our country. It's unnecessary and particularly deceitful. Essentially calling for the disappearance of Israel is terrible," she added.
The Central Jewish Consultation (CJO) announced in a statement that it is considering legal action against the activisits. The organization "is deeply concerned that a political party in the Netherlands is trying to poison the debate in this manner," pointing out that the slogan "is widely recognized as a call for genocide against Israel's more than 7 million Jewish residents." The CJO also called on politicians to "speak out in the strongest terms" against BIJ1's action.
On X, PVV MP Martin Bosma referred to it as "a call for genocide by a Dutch political party elected to the Tweede Kamer."
D66 MP Alexander Hammelburg stated on X that "a slogan that for many is equivalent to a call for the destruction of Israel and its Jewish citizens is threatening and unnecessary in advocating for peace and a two-state solution."
Amsterdam mayor Femke Halsema previously said the slogan was "unacceptable" and asked the Public Prosecution Service (OM) to investigate whether its use is punishable. This summer, the Amsterdam District Court ruled that its use was not punishable in a case involving a demonstrator who chanted the slogan in 2021.

Oh Nicky as you well know too people are NOT allowed that if they dare to say anything against Israeli leaders, government and actions regardless of what they do.
Our own PM has said on behalf of the UK.
That the UK stands with Israel ALWAYS.
Therefore as in always a blank cheque given no matter what Israel may do.
I support Israel but I care too for the ordinary Palestinian people.
I am becoming more and more disillusioned and concerned at the rhetoric from Israel.
The UN is pointing out concerns as to Israel's leadership plans of action.
Two wrongs cannot make a right.
I'd give no side any blank cheque.
.... and that is NOT antisemitism which some would accuse me of and others thinking the same way.
It makes a near mockery of what real and true antisemitism is.
I've had it for years on here and frankly it's tedious and insulting.
The antisemitism accusations are spouted out regularly on any criticism of Israel.
Not approving of and not supporting everything the Israeli leader and governnent say and do is NOT in any way criticism of the Israeli population.
It is NOT antisemitism.
There should be rules and even a law, in my view, to stop wild accusations of antisemitism against people.
Who in the main are only concerned for the peace and welfare of both Israelis and Palestinians.
However it does really say more about those firing those wild accusations of antisemitism than it says about anyone else.
