Agree with this, if Alaska hadn't been as lil pound cake, she wouldn't have won, don't really get why they went back to doing a bottom 3 either when last week it was 2

Episode 4:

I'm quite shocked that Alaska won the lip-sync. I thought Phi Phi would have won for sure. I'm glad she didn't get the satisfaction of eliminating Alyssa though <3 Phi Phi really is just a sour bitch, and hasn't changed much at all...except the aggressive screaming. I do get that if other people wore what Alyssa does they would get read for it, but there's ways of saying things. Phi Phi always seems to be on attack-mode, and not wanting to talk to the bottom three was really arrogant of her.

The challenge itself was okay. I wasn't blown away by any of the pieces, but Alaska and Alyssa's was my favourite. Alaska definitely did the best and I loved Lil'Poundcake's ruturn, although there is something about Alaska that I can't quite get behind this season. Detox and Roxxy's looks were my favourite on the runway. I liked Katya's too, and she really didn't deserve to be in the bottom three. Alyssa's outfit was actually quite spectacular in a weird sort of way.

I'm excited to see what happens next week with the eliminated girls :love:

I do feel sorry for her (in a way) because editing seems really determined to maintain the villainous persona she had during S4, but she really does herself no favours either?

It is quite sad that the show can break someone like that, but surely she knew what she was getting herself in for? It wasn't predetermined that she was going to be portrayed as a sweetheart to counteract her behaviour on S4. Surely she has enough self-awareness to actually realise she's not entirely the sweet and lovely person she wants us to believe her to be?

On the other hand it does seem quite unfair that they're doing this because producers certainly know how vitriolic the fans can be. Phi Phi, though she knows how to make her enemies, has made friends on both her seasons. She can't be an genuinely awful person. It just seems that whenever she has a vendetta against someone it brings out an ugly side.

She's no where near as witty and I think the production is just portraying her as a winner and above everyone else even is she doesn't feel that way

I saw the video of Phi Phi lying about Alyssa's judging comments, but I still don't think that's enough for me to not symathise with how much abuse she is getting.

Yeah I was trying to hold back on judging Phi Phi because the production does have a tendency to encourage the dumber fans into anger and fury about how bitchy everyone is as if it isn't a major factor of the culture of drag (there's a ****ing reading challenge). But whilst I dont know if she's as awful a person as she was in s4 I do think she's replaced it with a sense of constant self doubt and trying to go against her natural self. So it's come off as fake. And she does run her mouth a bit in the confessionals but I don't think she says anything that awful or mean, just has a catty sense of humour and likes to kii with her girls and people she's pally with on production.

That said I haven't seen this episode so maybe she's happy slapped someone and called the ghost of coco an ugly coon so idfk

The weird thing is that Phi Phi said in her Instagram post that she was going to refrain from saying things that production told her to say, yet the show is still portraying her as the villain as much as possible.

She's said on more than one occassion that she dislikes production because of what they have done, and that the edit may be as a result of not providing what they wanted. I know 'you can't blame the edit', but if it were any of the other girls (maybe except Ginger or Roxxxy) people wouldn't be so reluctant to see through it.

Phi Phi was right with her comment at the end of the episode (you'll see it when you watch it), but she was always going to be the main target of hate once she made it clear that she didn't agree with Alyssa's (fan favourite) decision to not get rid of Katya (fan favourite). It wasn't going to bode well with the fans.

I do still think she's a sour bitch and has tendancies where she's just plainly mean, but I think she's just a villain in the same regard as someone like idk, Acid Betty? Though I do understand why it would annoy someone that another person wouldn't use the same criteria to get rid of another queen, as much as I adore Katya and wanted to happen for the sake of things not being predictable.

You could easily make out Roxxxy to be just as bad as Phi Phi in editing so she just needs to know when to shut her mouth and give up with the stink eye looks because at the end of the day she's the one still making these comments.

I actually think Phi Phi would have been better off taking the same approach as Roxxxy, who's coming across very level-headed and normal. Phi Phi was/is too caught up in making herself look like a sweetheart that it's just coming across quite badly because she has moments that can easily be pieced together to make her look like a terrible human.

This is all sounding very contrary because I made it clear that I disliked Phi Phi this episode, but after reading her instagram post it's made me feel sorry for her. Like, the two episodes where Phi phi does well are the two where she's portrayed badly. It's just not nice, I know it's the show (and I absolutely love it) but it does have sadistic momentsand eploits people quite unnecessarily.

Gutted that Alyssa went and I'm completely confused as to why there was a Bottom 3 and why Katya was in it as well as Phi Phi being in the Top 2. It should have been between Detox, Katya and Alaska for Top 2, Phi Phi wasn't on their level when it came to the challenge and her outfit was pretty basic.

I like her a lot this series but I thought Roxxxy should have gone out of that bottom 3. Alyssa did the best she could with a bad role, Katya was one of the strongest this week and Roxxxy tanked it.

And I don't agree with social.media bullying...but Phi Phi was a dick at the end of the episode...shooting off her mouth once she thought Alyssa was gone. I am no big fan of Alyssa's but the door was barely closed behind her and Phi Phi was talking behind it.... no thanks.

Yeah, that's true.

I suppose you could say that Alyssa has an unfinished storyline (with Phi Phi), but that can be tied up next episode. Coco with Roxxxy? That's a reach. I don't think Ginger would've been underedited if she were coming back.

That was the best lip-sync in years; and to see both Alyssa and Tatianna return and both eliminate Phi Phi is absolutely fabulous. I was squealing with excitement watching the episode last night.

Also, the fact that Roxxxy brought back her character from the Children's TV show challenge in Season 5 is hysterical.

RuPaul gave the fans what they wanted!

That was an amazing episode. I had my doubts whether Alyssa and Tatianna would both return, but I'm so glad it turned out the way it did. No pity towards Phi Phi this time around. She is an idiot for thinking she would get away with acting the way she did and being certain that she'd get a 'redemption' edit. Like the fans were ever going to favour her over Alyssa.

The challenge itself was okay. Nobody really made me laugh that much. There were moments were I chuckled but I can't actually remember who caused it. The funniest part was in rehearsal where Katya repeated Ross' critique thinking that's what he wanted her to say :joker:

The lip-sync was on fire. The moment before where the lights switched and dramatic music played made me so tense. I don't think I've ever awaited a lip-sync as much before (It's very rare actually). The outcome had me gagging. It was flawless, incredible, major, etc.

Coco and Ginger were okay. Coco was doomed when she chose Phi Phi to work with. I like Katya and Ginger's friendship but it didn't quite appeal to me as much as Alyssa and Tatianna' performances did (probably because it wa so short). Ginger annoyed me a little at the beginning as well. I felt that Detox was carrying Tatianna through at th ebeginning, but she ended up being quite funny and she has charisma in abundance. Alyssa and Alaska's was the best.

It just amuses me how bitter and awful Phi was this season. I thought we were going to see such a change from her this season, but she was literally the same minus piercing screams. Nothing warrants abuse on Twitter, and you have to be a complete idiot to go out of your way to send someone abuse on Twitter or Facebook though. She lost her respect totally towards the end of the episode though. She acted over it, was a complete hypocrite, and came across really bad for not hugging Alyssa. Fine, you don't want to hug her, but don't make a blatant lie and say producers didn't want you to hug her and then resort back to your farewell message when you clearly hugged other people.

My fave 2 coming back deservedly they flat out killed it :love: :love: A weekly reminder that Roxxxy is talentless and has bombed at nearly EVERY CHALLENGE and is somehow still in. She's slowly becoming my least favourite contestant ever because she just uses tears to stay in & to hide the fact that she's not as an amazing queen as she's hyped up to be. Phi Phi was better than her this week (sorry Shaun don't come for me :shame:)

In defence of Phi Phi yes she's been horrid for the past 2 episodes but I think she is talented queen plus I've seen a lot of evidence to support the fact that she's genuinely nice away from the competition. It's a shame because I thought (and hoped) that All Stars would be a redemption arc for her, and it probably would have been in her best interests if she was eliminated early.

The whole situation is so complex. On one hand you've got the whole 'she said those things, you can't edit someone to be something their not, etc.' argument, but then there are so many things we don't see behind the scenes it clouds our judgement.

I respect RuPaul but I agree that he doesn't seem to give a **** about these girls after the show. Not that he has too. He's given these girls a platform to stardom, and it is his show after all.

What a glorious episode. I'm glad Tati and Alyssa got to come back, I loved Ginger in S7 but she's not exactly shone much this season so I'm not too sad she didn't come back.

I'm so here for the downfall of Phi Phi, she's obviously one of those people that's a complete and utter nightmare that never accepts responsibility for their own actions and blames everyone else instead. The only time she was in the Top 2 was to set up a plotline and she's been very average at the other tasks plus the fact that she was a horror only adds to why she was sent home.

As for her actions since leaving she show, I don't really feel sorry for her. She comes across as bitter because that she didn't get the redemption she wanted although she showed us repeatedly that she hadn't changed. No amount of editing could make someone look as bad as she did if she wasn't actually a bitch to begin with.

Was that part of the challenge :joker: The entire drag alumni crowd being chucked in just so they can reassure each other of the same 5 jokes they run all the time on World of Wonder's YouTube really handed Alyssa the win when, honestly, her jokes sucked. Like, y'all know how much I despise Coco, but I would without hesitation go so far as to say that she blew Alyssa out of the water in terms of comedy performance in that challenge.

Top two should've 100% been Tatianna & Ginger, bottom two reluctantly had to be Roxxxy with Phi Phi. I did think Roxxxy was a huge improvement on her s5 roast but yeah... you can tell it's not her thing. But at the same time I think she did a great job of it because it opened up the crowd and got them heckling and kii-ing and really warmed the room. But she just didn't have a chance of beating Katya/Detox/Alaska (I think Detox was the best of the night).

The workroom drama...yeah that was just childishness on Phi Phi's part and I get what she was bitter about (Alyssa ignoring the queens' pact to send the weakest home), but I have to admit Ginger saying she would've thrown herself under the bus to save Katya anyway was a bit...ok gurl :unsure:. But everything else Phi Phi played (the victim accusations? really?????) was just insane and I'm intrigued to know what the thing about Sharon throwing her under the bus in her season was all about. Because of course Phi Phi played dirty. She betrayed Jiggly in the most obvious Shakespearean way imaginable and then tried to get Latrice to sabotage Willam? Is this not common knowledge now you stupid orange ****?

I do wish we'd seen a bit of the other dynamics in the workroom play out - because even though I think Coco's all talk and no action, I doubt she had nothing to say to Roxxxy over her elimination. And Tatianna was basically a guest part until the challenge. But at least she's back now :hee:

This episode confirms to me that Carson is a total waste of air and an absolute kiss-ass disgrace to comedy and talent and perhaps the worst possible candidate for a judge of such requirements. He is ****ing ABYSMAL. He is dumb as sin, laps up the same 3 jokes like a cumslut, has almost nothing of worth to say and any time he takes a dick out of his ass to give a "critique" it's way off the mark. I want him dead.

I've not been too fond of Alaska throughout the season (mainly because of how obvious her inevitable win is, which in all fairness is out of her control), but she just came across really stupid. Tatianna's commercial wasn't good, but there's no fair justification for letting Roxxxy stay yet another week.

The whole episode was a shambles to be honest. The editing was really, really bad. We barely got to see the process of them all shooting their commercials, and Tatianna was hardly shown in the lead-up to her elimination. Instead we recieved focus on Katya and Rolaskatox. Also, there's normally some sort of indication to someone doing badly by Michelle/Carson/Ru/whoever's reaction to what they see, but Tatianna was praised without criticism. Odd.
