Idk if anyone would support this idea, but do you think it'd be good if a separate spoiler thread was made?

It works for the Survivor sub forum where spoilers are discussed in the spoiler thread and episodes/main show in general is discussed in the main thread.

I think it's necessary as sometimes it's hard to tell whether a spoiler tag is being used for an oversized image, an insignificant episode spoiler (e.g. who is doing what in Snatch Game) or a massive spoiler (e.g. placements, quits, lip syncs, winner etc.) but obviously it's not just up to me, would like to see what everyone else thinks!

Talking about the episode and not using spoilers, so BLAH, warning.

I was really hoping for Thorgy to get a win out of this but as soon Bob changed to Carol, I knew that wasn't happening. They both did fantstic. I really enjoyed Chi Chi's Eartha as well. Derrick was just OK. Not iconic like Tatianna's Britney in season 2. I can't remember Namoi's New York so I guess it was THAT bad.

Either way, this elimination broke my heart. Betty has A LOT to offer compared to queens like Derrick, Naomi and Robbie who is starting to run dry. She left gracefully which is perfect. Guess all those rumors of her going off on Ru or hitting another queen was false.

That was maybe the weakest runway in a LONG time. My jaw was hitting the floor when 4 of the girls wore the same ****ing outfit, omg. I was expecting at least 2-3 cone bras, not kimonos! Thank you Bob, Acid, Robbie and Chi Chi for not falling into it.

Well...

I'm surprised with the outcome mainly because I didn't expect Acid Betty to go so early without the rumours being true. With that being said I'm glad she left with dignity. It cemented my love for her, and I hope she somehow returns.

The Snatch Game itself was okay. I was impressed with Kim Chi's performance (I am so happy she didn't do Pearl), and Bob and Thorgy were great as usual. Sadly underwhelmed with Naomi and Robbie, but I can't be alone in thinking that Derrick was seriously crap. I can't remember her saying anything funny in the slightest.

The runway looks were okay. Like most people I was expecting a wide-variety of Madonna looks and it's sad we didn't get them :p

I came across a screenshot from Facebook where Acid Betty's ex said he couldn't wait for the fifth episode because he was getting 'kicked off'. He also made comments about how he was abused by Betty, but god god knows if it's true or not.

I never heard that he punched someone, but did hear that he confronted Ru at judging. I didn't know the lip-sync rumours until Smithy posted them in the thread, but I'm really glad they're not true.

Watching Chi Chi on Untucked makes me love her even more :flutter: She's so resourceful and makes the most of what little she has, can't believe that amazing outfit was made using such scarce resources :o

I think it's fair to say she shouldn't have been in the bottom two. Derrick's impersonation was all about the look and, once again, delivered neither a memorable performance nor runway - how many more chances is she going to get? Because I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. What is her appeal? Is she blowing the producers? WHAT IS IT??????????

And then Robbie's was just as lacklustre as Betty's and she's had more weaker showings than her in the past. This was the right opportunity to give Betty a wake up call and make her poop her pants a little in the bottom three but that was by no means a bottom two snatch game. Not in a pool of so many other boring impressions.

Naomi...ugh... I'm starting to feel like I'm out of touch with the fans of the show. There are so so many teens falling in love with the skinniest and prettiest and most conventionally attractive queens all the time now and it's just so exhausting to me. Every runway she's delivered has been boy body, minimal clothing and just no creativity, and whilst she's delivered safe challenge performances in RuCo's Empire and the Bitch Perfect weeks, she's done nothing else to excite anyone over the age of 16. I just think there's a very cancerous element about the fans of the show now; the older and uglier queens are torn to shreds if they so much as throw a read, whilst the piss-poor attitudes and entitlement shown by the likes of Pearl, Violet, Naomi, Kandy, Max, Milk are given free reign. I'm starting to fall out of love with the show because you just know they're outnumbering the fans of team talent and the production wants them happy. I don't want to think it's as simple as "ugh ____ is so hot/pretty, i want them to win" but really. Tell me why Violet won.

The lipsync was one of the worst and yeah, maybe Betty threw herself under the bus with a dress that left little room to manoeuvre, but aside from the bitter sensitive girls who're still upset that Trixie's makeup isn't to everyone's taste, I can't see why anyone thinks she should be out of the competition already.

(and I'll carry on fighting for the redemption of Betty bc it really isn't that hard of a fight. Her helping Chi Chi in last week's untucked, her help of Cynthia's health problems, her jokey relationship with Thorgy & Bob that really didn't seem as dramatic as week 1's confessionals suggested, Bob revealing he cried like a bitch when she went home. She's clearly not a mean person.)

(and I don't think she'll take AllStars 3 by storm really bc I imagine she'll still get a bit of a villain edit and be in the first half of eliminees, but I'll wait for her return anyway :hee:)

Betty looked to me as rather smug as she walked off... like she had her say and was ok going out that way. Plus, regardless of costume, she didn't put up a real fight in the lip sync, like she new the cards were already dealt against her.

Yeah, we didn't get the full story here, and the only reason I can think of for that is Betty was going to come across better then Ru and Michelle in the edit

Bob apparently spoke over most people the entire time with most of it being unfunny, which they obviously didn't include so his win was justified.

Thoughts on episode

- Anyone else sick of Thorgy's thirst to win? Like let Bob live. Robbie was pretty harsh on Bob as well. I expected better from the older queens.
- Screamed at the readings (in fact this was the best readings yet - no one fell flat. Why wasn't Snatch Game at this standard?)
- I love Naomi even more after this episode, I fail to see the Pearl comparisons because she seems more awake, eager to be there and WAY more likeable. Her winning this week :clap1: :clap1:
- Poor Derrick being thrown under the bus - seemed like an easy target but she looked a mess.
- Thorgy went down in my estimation this episode with her attacks on Bob and Chi Chi.
- Ru calling Derrick Britney :joker: Buy Make Me (Oooh)
- Brit killed the lipsync, I'm glad she's got her 2003 confidence back.
- Robbie lost by taking her wig off and committing drag race suicide, bye!

Just watching the episode now. I liked it even though I've never seen the Wizard of Oz / Wicked :worry: The makeover challenges are always interesting/entertaining, but I was kinda disappointed by how bad all of the designs were!

Can't really argue with the results. Naomi turned it out, Kim's was nice (although I didn't think 'Wicked Witch' when I saw it?) and I do think Chi Chi dodged a bullet... I'd have liked her to send Derrick home :laugh: but Robbie was underperforming so no worries.

When the beads broke...hell I was already slain by that point with her falling to her knees and her hand shaking before the biggest chorus. Thorgy did well, but yeah that was unstoppable </3

The challenge... I can't really complain about the pairs twist because I think individually it would've just about been Thorgy vs. Chi Chi anyway - Thorgy's campaign might've been better than Kim Chi's but Kim's runway was one of the best looks this season, loved that makeup (and I've never really warmed to Kim all season :shrug:)

Naomi's individual video (plus that Raven runway :worship:) really should confirm her for top 3 too... that was great. The past two weeks have really upped her status. You would hope Bob is confirmed but with this season :worry: who knows.

Untucked was cute with them mostly getting along and loving each other... the 3 of them talking about Thorgy complaining all the time was a little bit petty but meh... I kinda get the impression Bob's a bit cutthroat and would've thrown her under the bus anyway. Oh and Derrick's arrogance :laugh: gurl.

Sad to see Thorgy go...that could've easily been a "shante you both stay" but fair enough really. She'll probably win MC but I'm personally gonna champion Cynthia for that title.

It used to be a lot better but idk... the main show is so fast-paced and rushed that you kinda forget they're actually people and what they think/feel, so it helps to round them a bit and make them seem more sisterly/supportive of each other.

The Interior Illusions-era untuckeds were mostly 'a bit more drama' (which was great in its own way) but also getting stuff like, video messages from family members back home, sometimes meeting the guest judges, seeing their photoshoots, etc. From s7/s8 (the new format) I can only really recall the video tapes from Betty's sister and Trixie Mattel to Kim Chi. I definitely hated on the new format at the beginning (beginning of this series even :laugh:) but it's still must-see for me because it helps to portray the queens as real (crying, laughing, hugging, complimenting) people rather than challenge-bitchy cutaway-challenge-bitchy cutaway-runway-lipsync-dancing.

But yeah, this episode was fanastic.

I loved the challenge idea first of all, as it was a great way to hear about everyone's backstory. There were some really emotional moments that almost made me tear up, and I loved that the extended episode made the footage in the workroom feel so much more raw/real. I had thought in the past that the moments in the workroom tend to feel quite rushed, although it never really bothered me that much.

Chi Chi, Kim & Naomi slayed the challenge. Their looks were brilliant, so the bottom two was definitely justified. I would have been happy with any of the three winning, but Kim's idea was very smart and I'm glad it recieved the praise it did.

Thank god Derrick has gone. He was beyond annyoying this episode, like it almsot bordered on entertaining villain but he just has barely any charisma for it to work. There were moments where I felt sorry for him because he was clearly out of his league, but then I remember some of the queens that went home before him and I don't feel so bad :p

The long show edit gave me just what I wanted to see:

Work room edit was above par. The back story of all of them was so touching and real, and reminded me of the first two seasons where you really felt the heart of the contestants and the struggle to be who and what they fought so hard to be... themselves. I nearly cried at Bob and Kim's moments.

The Shade.... oh the shade in this episode... I was in stitches. You know the shade is bad when even Bob is like... oh no you didn't :fan:, but oh so entertaining seeing Derrick and Naomi and then everyone reading everyone!

The panel... one of the best of the season.... or any season. I laughed through the whole thing... and the critiques were intelligent as well as insightful. Amy and David were meant for this show.

Bob's Lip sync... :worship:. I mean he didn't have to do much to beat Derrick this week... but that is truly how a lip sync should be done imho.

I am sticking to my original assessment of this season... from their intro's I knew these queens would be my favourite set in a great many seasons... and they have not disappointed. I am still no fan of the Naomi style of drag that seems to win this show ... a lot... but I would not even be that disappointed if she won rt now (except that I would because Bob is my favourite queen ever)... and I think this final 4 is the strongest I have ever seen.

I will be rewatching this episode over and over in the off season I think

Raja/Manila/Alexis/Yara were probably the most even competitors and by far the strongest of their season, and I'd say the same of S5 too... even if everyone else hates Roxxxy she won challenges fair and square and was great at the fan favourite tasks (Snatch Game, that kids TV challenge, all of the design ones).

The rest have been debatable... 6 had Darienne for no considerable reason, 7 had Pearl, 4 had Phi Phi, 2 had Tatianna and 1 had Rebecca.

Meh. Kinda sad moment but not enough to paint over the fact she's been a complete **** all season and with none of the humour/charm to dilute it. No good throwing as much shade as she did all of this week's workroom and then adding "just kidding!!!" at the end. Her reads always had a nasty streak to them and were never set up with a punchline, it was just always a "oh I have an ugly thing to say about your wigs" moment. And calling Naomi untalented. lol. And it's more how clueless she is even with the benefit of hindsight and reflection - wanting to be against BOB in a lipsync out of anyone? Have you SEEN her YouTube? And I was in stitches over her "how can I be me if I'm not being me?" rants. It's kinda fitting she's carved out a career impersonating Britney because she's just as dead behind the eyes as her and just as minimally talented as her. Some people may live for her three or four different 'hair whip' moves she had up her sleeve, and maybe if she has enough self-awareness she'll milk her idiotic "But I hemmed everything" moment for all the merch it's worth, but otherwise I see no future in BOTS or performance other than what she was already doing. She is dead in the water and good luck with that stardom thing hon. The fans you get from this will be in 4 digits. In brief: my least favourite contestant ever. At least Phi Phi mixed up the runway.

It was an ok episode in general and Amy Sedaris reaffirmed my belief that Amy Poehler would be a DREAM judge for this. They were great. Of the balls this was probably the weakest conceptual one so far, the baby look idea was just super boring and required no effort at all. I liked them reading out their stories overhead but this was not a great beginning. Of the handmade designs I loved Naomi's the most... and I really loved the colours and style of Bob's but agree she should have lipsynched. Which is great because her Sylvester was another all-time fave performance.

Idk this episode kinda dragged (hehe x) for me and too much went on the work room drama... the puppets were fine as always if a little cattier than usual (although Bob's spit-take to impersonate Kim's impediment <3333)... and the "Naomi helps Derrick with her makeup" moment would've been at least a little bit of a full circle if she hadn't turned out looking like

As for the semi-final... I suppose I don't really mind who goes home as long as it isn't Bob, but if I had to pick one it would be Kim Chi... I mean I could ramble on about how her energy just doesn't grab me and I've been put off by the heavy sympathy edit for her this season but I can't really hate her because she's so talented and has delivered great looks (although not many IMO - but then this season's been weak for runways)... I would imagine it's Chi Chi who goes but I really hope she doesn't </3

I guess I'm rooting for a Kim Chi sashay because I've really grown to like/admire the other three more.
