Just watched the episode

I don't get where the judges' level of humour comes from... I found Peppermint & Trinity hilarious with their husband-snatching nonsense :shrug: certainly funnier and more fluid than Valentina/Aja's segment but then I guess they messed up with the goodbye line too.

The drama stuff was inconsequential and my opinion of Sasha went down a bit for being such a serious martyr.

Naya & Jeffrey were boring. Pretty but boring.

And I'm glad Charlie's gone because she ****ing sucked.

Nah just the general hate she's got online. :laugh: It's a little formulaic. Part editing, part "obviously the fat girl is insecure".

As MB pointed out with the "Trinity/Valentina" shade actually being Trinity/Cynthia shade, I find it difficult to take any of their confessionals at face value any more. Trinity's playing up the pageant feud which, let's face it, is basically the producers begging for another Coco/Alyssa season. Peppermint makes a throwaway harmless comment about Eureka being a motormouth and it's edited into just before a moment where Eureka asks for team discussion, so it comes off as "Eureka is a diva".

And I think for all of the times where drag race has come under fire for being too bitchy or bullying or whatever, it's been a little premature and without every side of the story. The responsible way of portraying this week's stuff would've been to show Valentina's response to Eureka's "eating?" joke. It wasn't comedy gold but it wasn't "watch out, Sasha, Eureka's pissing on your past" either.

BUUUUUUUUUT... none of this matters bc I'm enjoying this season <3

1) Nina (did think the "picked last" stuff was a bit :shrug: get over it :shrug: but she did and she killed the runway. BUT... drop the breastplate gurl you aren't India Ferrah.)
2) Peppermint (bombed at this challenge but otherwise lovely and charming and 100% going soon so I best get my goodbyes prepared)
3) Eureka (unintentional comedy with the hand-raising during group planning, a lovely ponytail reveal, and otherwise doing really strong in most challenges?)
4) Alexis (the most natural at the Good Morning Bitches stuff, but didn't get praise. Kinda being slept on, because her princess makeup was stunning too).
5) Sasha (her runways are getting a bit samey but who doesn't love RuPaul's Peanut Chocolate Bar with a bit of broccoli?)
6) Cynthia (even I am tiring of the cucu but she's so damn lovely.)
7) Trinity (she's a lot smarter than she's being edited and I find her intriguing)
8) Shea (It's crazy that a queen of Shea's calibre ends up eighth on a ranking but the cast is that strong <3)
9) Aja (I do like her but she's struggling)
10) Valentina (I don't want to be Detox here but I am 98% convinced she's a fraud and I'm not buying it. She's also showing signs of conceitedness and petulance. Plus I have a natural aversion to hot-out-of-drag queens getting overhyped. She's had one good week so far.)
11) Farrah (don't dislike her, thought she did great at Good Morning Bitches, but she's dead air).

uggggghh @ Farrah not sashaying away—she annoys to me the high-heavens. It's a shame Eureka had to leave. I enjoyed her presence on the show, but I'm glad she has a guaranteed spot on S10.

The challenge was quite good, despite the fact I don't care for The Kardashians. The production was entertaining, and I liked how they included Britney, Lindsay and Paris. Shea was fantastic as Blac Chyna (even though I don't know who that is :p), and her runway was fierce—probably my favourite of the season so far. Alexis and Peppermint were great, too (perfect top 3 for this challenge :love:)

I'm not sure if I feel amused or irritated by Nina's pessimistic attitude. On one hand, I feel sorry for her because she lacks confidence, but I just wanted her to let the Black Chyna thing go. Her runway was sickening as well, though. I did actually think that Eureka would be in the bottom three with Cynthia and Farrah, purely because of the reactions from the judges during her part of the performance, but now it makes sense considering they made her withdraw. I was living for the drama when one of the producers came over, and Ru left her seat.

I'm still really liking this season, and think it's a good improvement on the last two.

Main challenge was GREAT :love: although I really think Alexis should've won as she was hands down the best (I mean they runway was basic but it wasn't horrific). Glad Cynthia stayed but I really think Farrah should've gone despite Eureka being removed, her lip sync was really lacklustre

It's slowly starting to pick up although the pace of the show this season is really rushed and it's starting to bother me.

I'm annoyed that Farrah didn't sashay away because she brings nothing to the season but I'm glad that Eureka got the boot, I think she'll be more entertaining next season without the forced drama of her rivalry with Trinity.

Shea, Peppermint, Cynthia and Nina are my faves atm.

Alexis' bald spot still bothers me.

Just watched the episode.

The challenge itself...eh... I'm bored of Todrick Hall and I'm bored by the Kardashians so this was a miss for me. As with every other musical performance challenge, there's only one or two characters available for "winning queens" and predictably it goes to Shea. Can't fault her performance or runway but I don't think it was the hilarious WOW moment the judges were trying to scream us into convincing it was.

For me the bottom two were Farrah and, sadly, Sasha. Her Lindsay did nothing to stand out. Both she and Cynthia were great on the runway (that's my favourite Cynthia look to date, not that that's hard) but Cynthia at least had more of a challenge to display and she did an OK job.

Runways continue to be excellent: Eureka's makeup/hair/outfit were stunning, as were Shea's, Cynthia's, Peppermint's and Sasha's. However... Alexis... gorl... and Trinity's was piss-poor in comparison to Kimora's superhero. I really think Kimora should've been safe for that challenge which is ironic since I hated the cow :joker: that look was amazing.

I'm glad Eureka left on a high and on good terms with everyone, I'm glad the drama around her interrupting Very Serious Eating Disorder Discussions died down and she wasn't The Evil Bitch From Hell twitter twinks want us to believe. The sashay was emotional and I wasn't aware of Farrah & Cynthia's connection. Whilst I'm sure some'll be upset about the lack of drama on this season (as with season 8) I'm just really enjoying a strong, familial cast that doesn't have MANY weak links (sorry Farrah).

Oh and just to further boost Eureka's popularity, bitch quoted Alyssa in Untucked! BITCH SIT YO ASS DOWN AND SHUT THE **** UP BITCH!

Plus it feels like where they are trying to force drama (Eureka/Trinity, Alexis happening to make controversial casting choices!, Nina being a diva) is just really noticeable and fizzles out anyway. I am however LIVING for Nina's facial expressions @ Alexis in Untucked. Alexis was chatting some real ****.

Thoughts and feelings:


Peppermint was fantastic during the lip-sync. I loved how she proved that you don't have to be athletic or rely on dramatic moves (such as, deathdrops, splits, etc.) to provide an entertaining performance. However, I am shocked that she stayed because I was convinced they highlighted her trans story because she was going :worry: Thank god she didn't. I adore her.

It's sad Cynthia sashayed away because she's lovely, but it was her time to go. Farrah is becoming one of my least favourites of all time, but I can't fault her runway. Moreover, I can't help but find it hilarious that Peppermint/Shea & Nina/Trinity had the same looks, part of me feels that can't have been a coincidence after what happened last year :p

Snatch Game was okay. I've always found it quite overrated, and it's rare that I find anyone funny. However, I did like the selection of characters a lot better this time around in contrast to more recent years. I really like Sasha, but I also believe that they could've edited Marlene to fool viewers into thinking she wasn't funny any they would've easily believed it. Nina as Jasmine was probably my favourite :love:

Next week's challenge looks really good, but I'm just hoping Farrah goes sooner rather than later. I know Nina's pessimism may become irksome, but she has a nerve to suggest she doesn't want to be there when she's done a half-assed job every challenge and came into the competition without learning any basic sewing skills. I'm pretty sure she laughed her way through the rehearsal of last week's challenge as well...Ugh, I'm so over her.

Fun episode! Alexis deserved to win and it was Cynthia's time to go, so no complaints there. Actually, I think I really like everyone left? I'm getting soft in my old age...

Kinda annoyed that Farrah didn't end up in the bottom, her runway was ON POINT but she's not delivered in any challenge thus far, and it's just annoying seeing her coast from week to week.

I'm really liking this season now, think it's really shaping up and there's not any queens I would say I dislike (except maybe Alexis but she did DELIVER in the snatch game).

Sad to see Cucu sashay for the second time but Peppermint was amazing in the lip sync and although Cynthia will always have a place in my heart she just wasn't as strong as the other queens.

I think the LSFYLs this season have been fine? Even Charlie vs. Trinity was great for Trinity serving it and Charlie for all the wrong reasons.

Kimora vs. Aja was good, Cynthia vs. Farrah was pretty good, and now Cynthia vs. Peppermint.

I think we've just been spoilt with an Allstars featuring Alyssa, Tatianna, Alaska, Katya and Detox :laugh:

This episode she done a past contestant which kind of a cop out and one that someone done 2 seasons ago and didn't add anything to it, and her runway was really bad. But I feel like she's still gonna be around a bit longer

I actually really enjoyed Season 8, I don't get the hate, especially with it coming straight after the worst season ever.

yeah I think it's a great one. Some of the eliminations were suspect (I wouldn't have sent Betty home after being consistently high and doing a semi-funny giving birth lipsync over another pretty leggy tall queen just giving sex) but the challenges were great and so were most of the queens.

It's just Untucked lacked drama and the runways weren't great.

I think the cast was strong but they didn't mesh well with each other. Most of the story-lines were either contrived or boring, and I don't think their was enough cohesion throughout the season on an episode by episode basis. I think that's the reason I like S6 so well because they did such a good job of creating many interesting narratives that flowed throughout the season.

Bob is a good winner though.

Last night's elimination spoilers

THANK GOD. I had heard T that this week's B2 would be Nina and Aja (and it was) but the T I heard said that Nina sashayed and I was ready to kill.

Sasha was B3 with them but I can understand why she would be safe (I say this as if I've even seen the episode).

Trinity wins a second challenge! She finishes in the top 3 with Shea and Valentina this week. I'm really pleasantly surprised by how much of a contender she is.

This episode showed just how strong this seasons queens are. And the thing that I think makes it most exciting is that so many of them are on par and on a similar level unlike the past few seasons when there's been a clear top 2.
I think a Trinity/Valentina/Shea top 3 would be the perfect choice and there's no filler obvious 3rd place n there like Pearl and Naomi

I can't believe I really enjoyed an acting challenge :o

It felt as if they were setting up for a Shea win with a slight possibility of it being Valentina, so Trinity winning came a little out of the blue... not that she didn't deserve it, mind. I'm enjoying how many queens with strong comedic timing/acting skills there are left, considering none of them are actually comedy queens. I'm glad the long-rumoured Nina/Aja lip sync finally (geddit?) came to fruition, even if they could have done a better job for that song, and although I like Aja she was near the bottom of my rankings so I'm happy with the result. This season seems like it's back on track!

Again a really great episode, the queens this season are really strong and I wouldn't say there's any filler queens left now (well maybe Farrah but she did really well this challenge tbf). I thought Valentina should've won the challenge hands down, Trinity was funny and good but not as amazing as the panel were making her out to be. The FIRST lip sync of the series were BOTH of the B2 actually gave it their all :love:

Farrah is the weakest preformer there and is only being kept because she appeals to a large part of the audience

Thank god Aja is gone, she was terrible. I just need Alexis and Farrah to sashay now. I'm pretty sure, saving a major disaster, the top three will likely be Shea, Trinity and Valentina which I'd be happy with. I thought this episode was ok, the challange and the queens are so good this season but there's just something a little off with the editing.
I don't think anyone did amazing in either of the challanges, but there was more good than bad which kinda makes up for it
I really wanted Peppermint to win and I'm glad she did, but Sasha did have the most original and intelligent roast

I'm glad Farrah has gone. She was harmless but definitely the weakest of the bunch, and she constantly acted like a baby the entire time...irritating.

The Roast was mostly cringe-inducing, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless (not as strong as S5's though). I'm glad Peppermint won, but now I'm just waiting for next week to piss me off because it seems like I'm going to lose a fave :p I kinda like everyone who's left though, this boot order has been great.

Valentina, Sasha, Shea, Nina and Peppermint were all great. The Destiny's Child read :worship: Trinity wasn't too bad either.

Farrah is a SAVAGE. I get the feeling Alexis was edited highly unfavourably (not ONE laugh? Not even a polite one!? Come on.) however she did indeed suck. The lipsync was pretty good too, for two queens I don't particularly care about anyway.

I have to admit I expected the result to be a lot closer - I didn't expect her to fizzle out so pathetically. So I was expecting the fury to be 10000x more severe. For the most part, her fans have been at peace with what happened, that I've seen on Twitter/IG/Reddit, but Michelle Visage has deflected a fair share of idiots to make the hype fairly deserved

This is literally the only place I discuss the show (and occasionally I peek on Reddit), but if some people are getting hate then that's pretty ****ty.

It's not as if I've posted any boot spoilers (see: somebody with a grand total of two queens in their sig saying that they'll lose interest in the season "if the rumours are true") and it's not anyone else's fault that your expectations were so high, especially considering the majority of the comments in this thread e.g. "I'm building a bomb shelter for next week's episode" concerned the OTT reaction of overly-obsessed stans rather than anything in the show itself

My post was in reference to your reply to usersince2005. You have an acerbic tone that is hard to understand whether you're being sarcastic or catty—apologies if I misunderstood the intention but I honestly found it rude. You literally posted:

Anyone has any right to feel let down based on hype, not explicit spoilers—but still, you discussed a matter outside of spoiler tags before it aired.

As for your other point, yes that pissed me off slightly. I'm not blaming you entirely, but Daniel-X responded (again) outside of spoiler tags to the notion that something "dramatic" was going to happen. He made it obvious that one of two queens was going based on his reponse, in which (again)I don't blame him entirely either because it seemed that the situation was open-knowledge.

I've done a good job to not be spoiled at all this season, so the fact that cryptic clues were left around in regard to elimination spoilers (whether I interpreted it correctly or not) left me annoyed, but I decided not to say anything for the sake of peace in the thread.

"I'm building a bomb shelter for next week's episode" is literally such an open statement. It could mean anything, It still doesn't mean people can't be disappointed by what actually happened in the episode.
