Trixie, Chi Chi, Valentina and Derrick all have big gaps in July and/or August (plus Adore and Willam, but I somehow can't see either of them coming back any time soon)... I'm sure there are several others, but those are the ones I was able to find for now

a) VH1/WoW will want to pimp the hell out of anything Drag Race related following its Emmy win and general increasing popularity, so a move to an every-two-years All Stars cycle looks very likely at the moment
b) I don't think Drag Race has that long left anyway? Ru will probably get bored of it within the next four or five years, even if it does bring in the doolah

As with most live taping crownings, Ru crowns all the finalists (in this case just the final two lip sync participants) so that there is true suspense when the program is broadcast weeks later. Ru first crowned Peppermint who gave a wonderful acceptance speech and got a lot of love from the audience. After the crowning all the season 9 queens came on stage from behind and went up to congratulate her. And, as with any Drag Race episode, Ru then ends the show with a “If you cant love yourself, how the hell you gonna love anybody else? Can I get an Amen?” When this occurred Valentina came on stage with her fellow contestants and went to the far side away from center stage. When Sasha Velour was crowned it was a much different story. The second the queens came on stage Valentina did a B-line to position herself right in the middle of Ru and last year’s winner, Bob the Drag Queen which put her in the middle of the shot overall near Sasha. It was at first subtle, obvious and ingenious all at once. That Valentina knows what she’s doing.

The wrong person won. Sasha was good at lipsyncing but everything she did was so gimmicky and it just cheapened it all for me (ENOUGH WITH THE ROSE PETALS). Sasha and Peppermint is a pretty poor top 2 (Sasha wouldn't have won any challenges without Shea carrying her and Peppermint was just there for the most part) but if you go off lipsyncs alone (Because apparently winning basically half the challenges between them isn't enough to crown either Trinity or Shea) then I think Peppermint was the obvious winner of that LSFYL.

I liked Sasha in the competition but the fact that she won through pure gimmicks dampened the whole thing for me.

They both used outfit gimmicks tbh but Peppermint's was TRANSCENDENT. Peppermint didn't really need it though, she was probably the best lip syncer of the series (not that hard though given that there was only about 4 contestants that could actually lipsync).

I just don't think it should have come down to just the lip sync though, it invalidates everything that came before the finale and worse still the best lip syncer didn't even win.

Reddit are losing their mind over Ongina showing up to a gig last night and it may mean she was either:
- Kicked off first
- Never cast

And they've speculated that she's now replaced with Darienne and...

...is it just me that thinks that's a MAJOR upgrade? Darienne is sf underrated. Ongina's been so hyped since AS1, and every appearance of hers I've seen has been so annoying, that I can't help but hope it's true

The only reason people thought

Ongina was on the show was because she had a gig literally right before filming, and that they presumed she'd be likely because it wouldn't take her long to travel to the location where they film as she lives in LA herself.

There was no solid evidence she was ever cast. She's said in interview she rarely does gigs, so it was a bit of a miscalculation.

re Darienne: I wouldn't mind seeing her again. She's definitely underrated, and if Ben's on the show then they might cast her in hope there'll be drama (kinda like Alyssa and Coco0, which will probably flop.

I love it tbh, only ones I'm not fussed with are

Milk, Aja and Chi Chi. I'd have replaced them with Courtney, Acid Betty and idk who from season 9. Think it's too soon for S9 queen really so would've chucked in Willam because it's obviously criminal he's not done it yet

The thing is they're building Allstars to be a comedy/acting masterclass more than anything else and the queens delivering on looks are overlooked and seen as fillers (see: Roxxxy and Detox at last year's final 4)

I'd kinda love a season that's very "look" heavy. Put in Lineysha Sparx, Mariah, Pearl (i know, i know), Miss Fame, Trinity, Valentina, Shea, Max, India and Acid Betty

I know on paper it'd be even worse than this cast but I'm honestly too much of a fan to care what they chuck at me at this point

Only ones from that line-up who I'd class as my "faves" are Kennedy, Shangela, Trixie and Chi Chi, but I can't say there's anyone I dislike from that cast other than Darienne. I can see myself getting easily tired of Milk/Thorgy/BenDeLa though

It's interesting as there's no real clear winners from the outset like with the last two seasons but at the same time I think there's a lack of actual....allstars? Do we really need Morgan, Milk and Aja? (although admittedly she's seemingly improved post s9).

I'm glad those three rumours aren't true. Ivy was boring as **** and would add nothing, the S1 queens would only be there to be cannon fodder and I liked Trinity in her season but I don't need to see her again.

I predict a Trixie/Shangela/Kennedy top three.

Chi Chi and Thorgy are supposedly the first and second boots, respectively.

Lots of rumours surrounding the fact that the same format from AS2 is implicated this season, and that Thorgy got rid of Chi Chi first, which then prompted Kennedy to get rid of Thorgy next.

It definitely needs to be taken with a grain of salt, though...

I mean I could also argue that Ginger was cut drastically short and eliminated for one bad outfit but I know no one likes her so I won't bother </3

But even now the anti-Rolaskatox drama has died down I do still think it was the right top 3 and I feel bad for Roxxxy being robbed of a good redemption story and now just being referred to as "unworthy finalist". Bc she's an amaaaaaaazingly creative and stunning drag queen.

The AS2 twist wasn't really a great idea IMO (better that pairs obv) but didn't seem that bad because everyone on that season was so talanted anyway so it didn't matter who went home when that much - and because the producers would never let someone who picked Alaska or Katya to go home win a lipsync
