Vixen was pretty crap and Mayhem was not, that is my reasoning :hmph: however Monet's "win" was a tad messy and the result upset me as a Mayhem stan. Plus the hairspray moment was more memorable than Asia's clown antics, even if it was a cleaner lipsync.

Just watched the episode!

1) The lipsync - eh it was close. I think Kameron was "nastier" though, which won it. She writhes her hips a lot and just seems dirtier, while Miz is a bit broadway/comedy in her movements. Also tried too many splits/tricks and it was very... shticky. I know Kameron also had some but idk, I think her lipsync flowed a little better/was cleaner. Wouldn't be mad if Kameron sashayed, though, because Cracker would lose to any of the other 3 in a lipsync :hee:
2) ASIA WAS ROBBED, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. I screamed when her evil twin let that balloon go :clap1: only lost because Michelle hates bodysuits. Bit inconvenient when they're a drag staple, Michelle.
3) Aquaria's looks were...nice...but top 10 of all time? Stop overselling, Ru! I also didn't really hear that much personal conflict from her narration, it was just very... "kill them all, slay them!!!" which didn't :shrug: impress me. Idk I think Aquaria is lost on me.
4) That mini-challenge took far too long and I am really tiring of non-famous actors leeching off the show because they're mildly attractive when they've not really got a dazzling personality. That goes for you too, Jeffrey!

Idk what Untucked will contain but I'm intrigued to see the fallout of the "who should go home?" scene. Everyone going for Cracker was a LOOK. :love:

I feel so bad for laughing but honestly I can't stop. I'm mad because it's such a STUPID idea and could've easily been achieved with little helium butterflies or something, and I don't know how the full lipsync goes so IDK if I can be mad at Kameron for winning again, but it does seem she put her full energy in that reveal and the obvious horror of it going awry seems to have cost her :(

Apparently they weren't even dead until she stepped on them. During transportation they're out in cold temperatures to make them dormant, and it's likely Asia put them straight from the freezer and into her tits so there wasn't enough time for them to warm up and wake up. Most of them could've lived if she didn't step on or dance on them afterward.

I finally got around to watching this week's episode.

I think it was Miz's time to go, she reached her peak and had nothing else to offer. Kameron can at least turn it out on a lipsync.

I thought the task was a bit meh, the voiceovers, as always, were cringeworthy and all the interactions were too. I can't complain about Aquaria's win since she did turn it out .

Side note, I like her invested Ru is this season, it feels like she actually gives a **** again with how she gets involved and adds **** to deliberation and such.

I want Asia to win but I know it's not going to happen. I've accepted that Aquaria will win and, tbh, I'm not too mad about it. She's not the most exciting winner tbh but I can accept her as a winner.

I think the problem with Eureka is her inconsistency, which is something you could say for Asia too but, like Michelle said, even when Asia was safe, she was still close to the top. I think it'd be nice for Eureka to win, it would be a good end to her journey on the show and she'd be unique as far as winners go but I just can't see anyone beating Aquaria at this point.

Other than that, um, yeah... this episode was fine? It's hard to muster up much excitement or have much investment in these pre-finale challenges, especially now that they've started forgoing the final 4 elimination, especially now the finale spoilers are readily and widely available, and especially considering each of these challenges will be an inevitable failed attempt to surpass the quality of Read U Wrote U. That said, I guess my favourite part of the episode was Kameron, in a symbolic gesture of peace, deciding to finally join her fellow queens at the makeup station, before immediately deciding it was too hot and buggering off again <3 it me

It's conflicting because there is always the "well the fat girl never wins... the black queen never wins" (even though there will be 5 women of colour winners and 8 white winners after S10... so there isn't much of a disparity) and it's not like they can just win for the sake of being fat or black... it sounds ridiculous, I think maybe it also has to do with white queens getting more opportunities than black queens? Like idk like Trixie and Katya get there own show, Trixie has been on various TV shows... but then like I know Bianca and Bob have had to write and produce various things for themselves rather than being cast by someone outside of themselves... anyway I personally do not attribute a queens success to her social media followers, but it probably does come down to white and skinny being the most "favourable" during the season, like a lot of people didn't want Shea or Peppermint to win last season, people don't want Eureka to win this season... you know what they're all just racist and fatistI cannot think of a logicable expanation other than the fact it's just luck.

Aquaria’s aesthetic is breathtakingly beautiful (I totally agreed with Ru that her ’good twin’ look was one of the best of all time), and something needs to be said about how talented she is at such a young age. I just can't get behind her winning, though. There's something so off-putting and irksome about her personality, especially in her talking heads. Like, the reason I don't particularly like either Aquaria or Eureka is because they come across too try-hard and inauthentic. They're both annoying.

I'd be happy with either Asia or Kameron winning. I was ready to go into the finale wanting Asia to win, but her comments about Miz Cracker bothered me slightly (yes, I'm aware the general fan reaction to Asia was ****ty and there was absolutely no need for it, but I'm being honest). Kameron grew on me throughout the season. The recent episode cemented my love for her. I felt the emotion behind her backstory a lot, and as someone quite introverted with many extroverted people around me I can relate to her. It's refreshing to watch someone like Kameron do well

I'm glad The Vixen decided not to be the pariah of the reunion. I really couldn't get behind Ru's bs, critiquing The Vixen's approach within confrontation. Ru doesn't understand The Vixen at all, and I was glad Asia stuck up for her. Ru only cares about tv. He provides drag queens with a platform—fantastic. But he does not care about how the queens are exploited. He even said when Phi Phi decided not to turn up to the AS2 reunion, the queens are given a platform and they decide what they want to do with it. The Vixen did what she wanted with it, yet she's being criticised while others take the holier-than-thou attitude to make themselves look good. Ru should be happy The Vixen engaged and gave drama in a way that many other queens are afraid to do because they're scared of the backlash.

The way the queens came for Kameron at the end was so random and off-putting too. Like, I'm not even disputing their claims, but their way of handling it was really inappropriate imo. They just needed to **** on someone else, since The Vixen wasn't there anymore. I lost a lot of respect for Monet and Dusty this reunion. They were trying waaaaaay to hard look like the good guys. Watched the reunion before I left for work this morning and tbh I don't really see where this support for Vixen has come from. I know that the Eureka comment of "trying to test her" was uncalled for (but tbh, I think it was just a throwaway comment about the girl who literally came in saying she wants to fight, and had just thrown up drama with Miz/Aquaria for literally no reason... and also think it was just more... pathetic from Eureka and like a childish moment of "I KNEW SHE'D DO THAT, I KNEW IT" rather than actually calculating?) but it still doesn't excuse Vixen's conduct later on in the season. Let's not forget this is the queen who:

- Took everyone saying she should be eliminated as a personal attack and a key to suddenly go "**** all of y'all, you're all fake, you're not my friends" when EVEN EUREKA didn't choose her.
- Said Eureka should sashay away for Snatch Game when she was clearly the 2nd best performer that week, again proving her lack of professionalism and wild bias.
- Didn't even give Eureka a chance and based her off of 3? 4? weeks of a Season 9 showing. If we're going to bemoan the editing and the cameras building up her ABW trope and how wrong that is, you can't in the same breath say "I didn't like you based off the same editing tricks I am criticising".

I'm sorry but her attitude stank at the reunion and whilst Asia had points, the way she tried to come for Monet was ridiculous. She didn't have any of her quotes and receipts right, and she just looked stupid. And absolutely no moment of "I came to say what I wanted to say and now I'm going to leave BYE" is ever going to scream "moderate, considered, reasonable woman". I give huge props to Asia for trying to defend her and say we shouldn't give up on her - and in spite of this paragraph :laugh: I don't, I think she's very talented and exciting and interesting - but I fully agreed with Ru that you can't reason with someone who doesn't want to be reasoned with. And I think all the fans attacking Ru are just trying to kick someone who's recently been problematic for other reasons (the trans queens comments, the weird pseudo-psychology stuff, the stupid S9/AS3 production twists)... and obviously there's the problem that she ostensibly doesn't care about too many of the queens unless they're making her money. Fair criticisms but honestly, some of the crap I've seen said about her (she's "racist", she's "out of touch", she's "basically white now") is just tired.

From the rest of the reunion... eh I enjoyed it? Some of the subject matters were a bit odd though.
- Discussing the amazing lipsyncs but including Monique/Vixen and not mentioning Mayhem/Yuhua or Kameron/Monet?
- Discussing the runways and using... Miz Cracker's silver fox look? Really? It was bland and didn't even meet the challenge criteria. If you're going to pay it forward to her delusional fans, use the Birdcage look or the handbag hair look. :shrug:

It did get a bit too sob-story after Vixen left and all-in-all it wasn't as gaggy as S9's reunion with Aja going off, Charlie being killed, Farrah bringing up seventh-grader level drama, etc. But I enjoyed it.

Re: the Kameron drama... hmm... I guess it's weird because it's something we wouldn't ever have been privy to... but the sheer number of queens who had a problem with her makes me wonder if it's true. I can't see Monet, Blair, Monique, Kalorie, Dusty AND Yuhua all having a problem with her standoffishness as an act of conspiracy. Like, there's being shy and then there's the stuff they accused her of... granted, she wasn't "Valentina" levels of FAKE BITCH but still, I can't help but think there's something beneath her :) gosh i'm just so introverted :) edit.

There have been aggressive queens on the show before who haven't been required to apologise for their behaviour. Throughout the discussion about The Vixen's fight with Eureka, in particular, I understand why she got pissed off and felt there was no point in explaining herself. The Vixen wasn't wrong whatsoever during her argument with Eureka, yet Ru still used it as an example of how she was a needlessly aggressive person who has a serious problem to overcome. Most of the queens agreed because I think they're conscious that it could help them get on future All-Star seasons.

I think in terms of whose side you take, it comes down to whether you think The Vixen does have a problem with how she conducts herself. Personally, I genuinely don't think it's that much of an issue, but I appreciate Asia's sentiment about how you have to fight these situations with love. Also, it's amusing how The Vixen's role as the aggressor comes up with the Aquaria/Cracker situation (obviously trouble was going to be caused there, I won't deny it), but all she set out to do was tell the truth. Afterwards, the Aquaria and Cracker storyline was never highlighted again, as the situation being exposed allowed them to talk about it. The Vixen actually did us a favour by exacerbating the problem, allowing the both of them to get it out and the open, and then saving us from a tedious storyline.

5, Kameron - I found her quite relateable tbh and her lipsync skills are obviously on point.
6. Eureka - inconsistent and problematic but when she was on form, she was on fire.
7. Miz Cracker - Was one of my favourites to begin with but I got tired of her as time went on. I can't really justify putting her lower tbh.
8. Blair - Kinda underwhelming but I liked her as a person.
9. Mayhem -I liked her for the most part, she just wasn't the most interesting character.
10. Vixen - She was middling tbh, she brough the untucked drams but I don't think her performances were that great and she was unpolished a lot of the time tbh.
11. Dusty - I like her a lot and I think her story is heartbreaking but she was a bit of a flop tbh </3
12. Vanessa - I love her and she's gonna slay S11 but I can't justify putting her higher despite her cultural impact.
13. Yuhua - I'd honestly want her back in All Stars at some point, I think she was shellshocked and unprepared for S10 tbh.
14. Kalorie - Not a bad person, just not up to scratch with anyone else.

I read through what you said and it didn't convince me that The Vixen is a genuinely bad person. A villain in the grand scheme of things, obviously. But not someone who needs an intervention and told to compromise her character for the sake of...I don't even know what.

The only thing I'd say she went too far with was her reaction to the other queens saying she deserved to go home. It was childish, but still doesn't justify her being referred to as a genuinely bad person.

I’ve just caught up with the last 4/5 episodes over the last few days and I’ve adored this season. I might squeeze it nicely as my second favourite ever after S6? Such an improvement on last year and the last two All Star seasons.

The F4 is incredibly tight (besides Kameron, idk why she’s still there - get ha out!) and I’d be pretty satisfied with anyone winning (bar Kam). Obviously I’d rather Aquaria won just because she’s been a brilliant all-rounder and hasn’t really bombed in any challenge besides the DragCon thing, but, that was easily the worst episode and challenge of the season, so we’ll let it slide (she’s a fashion icon too and kind of a cackle!). Asia has been pretty consistent as well, particularly towards the latter end of the season and is just a lovely person all in all and I can’t deny Eureka is talented.

Yeah, the editors have a job to do. I don't discredit them for portraying The Vixen the way they did, as they had an obvious angle to work with. Personally, I think there's a difference between a villain on a tv show and a genuinely bad person. Ultimately, I think it goes back to my original point of whether you think Vixen should readjust her attitude or not.

My personal feelings about Eureka also influence this, as I'm glad The Vixen saw through the insincerity of this babyface persona she created for herself.

Vixen's reaction to Eureka during their argument I don't mind, we all get caught up in a moment and say shady things but the way she was generally just rude to her in every challenge was tiresome and plain pathetic. As an adult in a working environment you just get on with it.

Then her reaction to people saying they thought she was the weakest person left (which she definitely was, surely nobody would argue that?) just pushed me over to disliking her - to take something so personally was just so extra and not even funny just silly and not entertaining at all I was cringing at her.

As much as I loved Eureka, Aquaria is a worthy winner (she slayed the Bang Bang lipsync and had the best stats this season).

And I love that they had Nina Flowers help Valentina crown Monet as Miss Congeniality. Ru also gave light to the voting mishap.

Oh god POOR ASIA, the look on her face when she realised it wasn’t going to work </3 I bet from that point she knew she’d lost it because she was faffing around with the reveals so much, lol @ there then being butterflies fluttering around the stage for the rest of the show.

The double shantay wasn’t needed, aquaria skated Eureka, who just did the same thing over and over, she just sort of showed she was a one (three) trick pony when it comes to lipsyncs - high kicks, splits and then the bumming around on stage (idk what you call it), her being there sort of took away from the final lip sync, I’d have like to have seen a proper Kameron vs Aquaria, loved the party poppers she seemingly pulled out of nowhere, she rightfully won, even though she’s not a particularly likeable person imo

And whilst I agree Aquaria won over Euerka, in terms of what wins and works in Drag Race Euerka definitely won that Lipsync - hers was more exciting and got a much better audience reaction so I think she should’ve won for that but they had clearly already made up the or minds so the Lipsyncss probabaly meant nothing anyway

If they really want to keep doing this lip sync tournaments mess they should just create a spin off show and invite back loads of past queens to battle it out in tournament style lip syncs

The rightful winner was crowned tbh, but the finale just felt underwhelming and dragged out. At least last years was a bit more exciting.

I've known about what happens to Asia for weeks now but it didn't make it any less horrid to watch (THE SHADY ZOOMS THOUGH!). I'm glad that it seems like rumours of a butterfly massacre were incorrect though, I remember reading that Kameron basically stomped and splitted all over them. I'm quite heartbroken for her tbh, she deserved to be in the top three since Kameron basically did the same things he did every lipsync and she would have won comfortably were it not for the butterfly incident, I think.

Aquaria decimated Eureka tbh, I disagree with the double shantay completely. As said above, if Peppermint and Trinity didn't end in a double shantay then I don't understand the logic behind this decision.

The last lipsync was a mess and only Aquaria brought it tbh.

I'm okay with Aquaria winning, she's not exciting but you can't argue with her performance.

Also, I loved how, despite the roar of the audience, you could still hear Monique getting her life clearly multiple times throughout the show <3.

I’m really happy with the result but on the whole that was a CRAP finale to a brilliant season. I really hope they return to the old finale format for next season because it worked much better.
