i havent heard the spoiler im going to wait untill the episode.

obviously it something to do wth pepermint and alexis, given the promo for the next episode.

i hope peppermint punches alexis straight off the stage mid lipsync.

I've also inadvertently seen spoilers concerning next week's winner, next week's bottom two, next week's lip sync song and next week's eliminee, all of which I'd much rather not have come across but I've accepted that they're out there, so the issue regarding how other people's comparatively non-spoilery posts are interpreted seems a little more trivial . After all, the "uneventful, drama-free" comment - which was posted minutes before the episode was about to air, and I usually tend to stay out of threads of US shows that I haven't yet seen when it's gone midnight UK time - could have been interpreted at face value considering this season has been criticised for lacking drama. Well that's him, and we just all seem to leave him to it. I won't post my thoughts in that regard because that's another matter :p I just felt that the dig at him was also a dig at me because I found the episode underwhelming.

As far as spoilers go, I wouldn't feel the need to be open about spoilers just because I'm spoiled. Everything that was said after my thoughts about your reply to usersince2005 was only because you'd brought up the fact that I'd worked out who may be going home. I was fine with that, I'd put it to bed. I knew by the "bomb-shelter" comment that something dramatic was going to happen, I didn't find it to be innocent; only that it didn't allude specifically to what you knew. Again, I didn't know what was going to happen, which contributes to the fact that I thought it was going to be big. But it's fine, my main problem was what I initially replied to, which you've explained now. I never saw his other post, so I apologise about that.

Yeah, I understand that now. I wouldn't say that's an explicit spoiler but anyway :laugh2: Just like how most of the things that were alluded to throughout the last few pages could've been insinuated and interpreted as big or dramatic. I thought someone could've got hurt, I thought many things: Nina trying to hit on Shea and taking rejection badly, Nina cutting up and destroying Shea's things, someone getting punched, idk. It's all open to interpretation if the clues and hints are out there. But it's fine it's over and done with now. Main point is, is that I get why you said what you said.

Ikwym Lewis gut idk I feel like the judges massively overhype Shea. She's very good, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I think they overstate her quite a bit.

I guess it was just from the way she spoke back to Ru/even thought "keeping it on" was even an option? Ru's sashay away line was pretty brutal but at the same time I think was said with genuine admiration for Valentina. And obviously some are going to clutch at straws and claim they were gunning for her or whatever.

The thing is... even though Alexis OBVIOUSLY did better than Valentina in the challenge, and was closer to 'club kid' than Valentina on the runway (yes, Valentina looked better, but she didn't follow the runway theme)... I could've seen Ru throwing her in the bottom two anyway to build the drama and feed Alexis' anger. Personally, I think she only put Valentina in the bottom two because she/the other judges are at a dead end with Nina and - wrongly - assumed Valentina'd serve a passable lipsync and dismiss Nina. This is supported by the fact Ru even gave her a second chance at the lipsync - if she wanted to be a true **** and go for drama, she could've just dismissed her off the bat :joker:

Idk if you watched 'Whatcha Packin?' with Michelle Visage but - and I think Michelle is 100x closer to the queens who pass through the show than Ru is, partly because she's "less busy" (no shade) and partly because she's always touring with them - she only really teased Valentina a bit about her lipsync decisions and there didn't seem to be any animosity there from either party. Valentina herself has been pretty gracious about how she deserved to go and messed up. I just think she rested on her laurels.

It just seems so silly to claim the show's farcical/unfair when they'll all be queuing up to demand Valentina for AS3. They'll be truly shook when Stacy Layne Matthews sends her home :clap1:

I think Valentina's edit is an indication that someone is still pissed off at her, or it's at least to justify maskgate. idk, I feel like she had a good first few episodes, which helped form her fanbase, but then afterwards she was almost invisible. I'd often forget she was on the show, and to me, I think someone like would usually be given as much content as possible.

I'm not personally mad though. I could take or leave Valentina.

The result was spoiled ahead of time for me but not the context so I assumed she was sent home for the drama of it rather than her performance but she was beyond trash in that lipsync and deserved to go.

However, I don't really think she deserved to be in the bottom 2 in the first place. Alexis got completely carried by Trinity and Peppermint and her runway outfit, while on theme, was honestly trash.

Overall Alexis' team's pilot was a lot funnier and made a lot more sense than Valentina's, and the other 2 girls said that it was an equal amount that they all put in so Alexis obviously played a part in making theirs better, so she deserved to be safe
Not to mention her acting was much better as well

As for runway, yes Valentina's was better but only just, it's not like Valentina's outfit was miles better than Alexis that it put her way ahead

If the bottom 2 had to be altered I would say it should've been Alexis and Valentina as Nina had the best look of the 3 imo

This season has been weird for me, while I do think it's been an improvement on 7 & 8, it's the only season I've found thus far I don't have a solid favourite on (besides AS1). None of the queens have screamed at me, I've been watching clips and challenges back and Trinity is probably my overall favourite at the moment, but I wouldn't say I love her like I do with the rest of my faves.

On a less fun note, one of the queens was from Manchester and was a friend of a friend of Martyn Hett (:() so she sang a stripped-down version of The Cure dressed as Golden Globes Gaga and it was lovely.

For a gig venue that I didn't even know Ru girls came to, they've got a busy few months ahead - Adore, Valentina, Yara, Cynthia, MKD, Eureka and Derrick Barry (the very mention of her name got boos, bless) among others... so if you ever find yourself stuck in Nottingham for your sins, there you go

That was probably the best episode of the season and definitely one of the better makeover episodes. Nina going was disappointing tbh (ALEXIS SHOULD HAVE GONE ETC) because she had a lot of potential but she ended up painting herself (ohohoho) as a one trick pony.

Would be here for her making a triumphant return in All Stars.

At least Alexis sewed her recreation of her entrance look (just a bit awkward that her daughter/sister looked better than her lol)

and I think it's the best episode purely because of Winter Green. Her twerk & Ke$ha interaction = the highlight of the season :love:

Thoughts:

Main overwhelming thought for me was that I didn't appreciate Adore nowhere near as much as I did watching first time round. She's endearing, charismatic and does have plenty of talent in some areas. But, my goodness was she given so many free passes. Her runway looks never wowed me apart from The Glitter Ball looks and in certain challenges such as the comedy one I thought it was unfair she was given a pass. I still really appreciate her and she is a brilliant drag queen, but I don't love her as much as I did first time round.

Other opinion that's changed is that I now LOATHE Darienne Lake. Her runway looks are gross (HOW DeLa went home over her in the Glitter Ball challenge I'll never know), and she's just not a pleasant character whatsoever. Her hatred for DeLa cracking a few jokes about winning two challenges was way blown out of proportion and she just came out of it looking like such a bitch. She ain't nothing special and how she got to top four is laughable.

I'm still devastated that Trinity went so early on watching second time round, she has proven she was so talented in the acting and stand up comedy challenge and her getting Cher's sons name wrong landing her in the B2?! When Joslyn brought up abortion and wore that ugly ass dress with a meaty tuck? While Trinity looked FIERCE? Please. Trinity was deserving of at least top four.

Just got out of the finale and I am SHOOK. This finale is completely different than any finale in the past!
Here's the tea (SPOILERS AHEAD):
Each of the top four had to lip sync right THEN AND THERE and whoever won advanced to a final lip sync round.
The first round was between Peppermint and Trinity Taylor. They both SERVED IT OUT. I honestly thought it was a tie, but gave a slight nod toward peppermint for taking off her wig and nailing every beat (the song was Stronger by Britney Spears).
The second was between Shea and Sasha. I was so worried because I was a Shea fan going into the finale. Sasha came out with a rose and I was like "wtf is she doing." Oh, my GOD. Sasha KILLED IT. She had rose petals hidden within each Long glove and in her wig!! The crowd went NUTS. She sang "So Emotional" by Whitney Houston. Sasha CLEARLY won.
Then Peppermint and Sasha lip synced. It was pretty damn close how good they were. Of course, both were taped as "winning" the crown. I have a few photos and I'll upload them on my Instagram (Henryesque) and on here.
If anyone thought this season's lip syncs were lackluster...this finale MADE. UP. FOR IT.

The queens weren't interviewed by Ru this evening (which I thought was strange). I sat next to Valentina in the VIP seating and was like, "wtf? Aren't you and the other girls suppose to be up on stage?" But they literally gave so much time to the interviews and top four lip syncs (which were "decided" by a spin of a wheel! Think wheel of fortune!) that interviews that night were not possible lol.

I'm glad they're doing a final four since Trinity would have probably gone since Peppermint brought it on the song and the lipsync. Her dress was a bit crap but I didn't think it would count for much.

Sasha and Shea kinda fell under the radar for me, Sasha's dress felt way too similar to her entrance look and aside from the hammer horror styling of the choreography I thought her verse was a bit bland, same for Shea but Shea's runway was the WORST. Her subsititution of a brown bra for a breast plate gave me PTSD and flashbacks to the time Alexis cut a green ball in half and glued them to her chest. I thought her lipsynce was also mediocre.

Trinity had the best runway by far but her verse was awful and her lipsync was only decent.

I'm hoping Trinity wins it but I'd be happy enough with a Shea win.

The top four kinda annoyed me throughout it all, ngl (Peppermint to a much lesser extent). It's easy for them to criticise people on their moral high-ground when they've made it to the finale, but their attitudes were just really off-putting. Shea, in particular, really got on my nerves because it felt like she was desperately making up for any lack of personality she had on the show. Sasha is just stank. Trinity, I get the love, but she's not for me.

I'm not a Valentina fan, but I felt they were too harsh towards her (and Charlie). I think the Valentina hate from other queens just comes down to jealousy tbqh. Also, this interaction from Nina was probably my favourite part of the entire reunion (aside from Alexis Michelle in general):

What a silly excuse... The show has already been edited and has already aired, all they need to do is edit out the cuts to breaks, this does not take a whole week. Isn't it already on Australian Netflix.

God, that reunion was good but annoying at the same time. Poor Jaymes and Cynthia barely getting a word in </3

The top four kinda annoyed me throughout it all, ngl (Peppermint to a much lesser extent). It's easy for them to criticise people on their moral high-ground when they've made it to the finale, but their attitudes were just really off-putting. Shea, in particular, really got on my nerves because it felt like she was desperately making up for any lack of personality she had on the show. Sasha is just stank. Trinity, I get the love, but she's not for me.

I'm not a Valentina fan, but I felt they were too harsh towards her (and Charlie). I think the Valentina hate from other queens just comes down to jealousy tbqh. Also, this interaction from Nina was probably my favourite part of the entire reunion (aside from Alexis Michelle in general):

If I'm completely honest about the Valentina situation, I have to say that I did find her to be congenial throughout the competition. I find it odd that girls used the lip-sync as a way to criticise her, despite the fact that other queens in the past have forgot their words. However, I do believe there's no smoke without fire, so I kinda get why some of the queens were upset with her given that she was recieved so well by the fans...It's just weird the editors didn't include many moments where she was rude to the other girls, since I got the feeling even Ru & co were thirsty for a Valentina downfall.

I'm happy with Sasha winning and I called it from around week 2/3, it's great that a bald queen has won - The Princess is shook.

Peppermint would have been deserving as well, being such an underdog I expected her to go home 4th but to come second is probably the biggest surprise in a finale in years.

I actually really enjoyed that finale but I do think I prefer the old format.

Sasha winning was very predictable, however I still think she's a pretty flat winner for me, like if you asked me to describe her personality I'd struggle to name any traits, and I do think the fans overrated her quite a bit this season.

HOWEVER her lip syncs in the finale were AMAZING, like I was blown away, even if she was relying on tricks a bit too much she was killing the actual lip syncing as well.

I do feel bad for Shea and Trinity though, like they'd won the most solo/team challenges and then it was all snatched away from them because they didn't have wig/glove tricks in their lip syncs. That being said I they did the lip sync finale this season because of how dire the lip syncs have been and needed something to boost the season up. I think they'll stick with this format as well for next season to look consistent.

It's not that I dislike her, but she was the one I wanted to win the least. Her winning seems really random and I never saw it coming throughout the season, but her lip-syncing at the finale was great tbh.

I love this format but it should be used for a top 4 that it is a lot more on par, like season 7 or even 4, I didn't like how the judges made it like it was so even when Trinity and Shea were clearly miles ahead of the game
