Watched Untucked just now and I CANNOT @ Trixie thinking she was going to win the challenge, and had been delivering excellence since she came back

She literally peaked with Pearl's conjoined runway look. Everything else since was 'safe' at best and just...wah wah. The country look this week was eh. Her performance as the mother of egg-obsessed Ginger was good but overshadowed and not even close to Katya/Kennedy's.

Like I get she thought they were being judged individually this week but did she SERIOUSLY think she was going to win this, individually, over Pearl and Violet?! :joker: and then the nerve to imply that she's gone home because of Ginger's mistakes. What a ****ing embarrassing tool.

I was firmly in the "meh, unimpressed" category all this time and now I can finally add "hateful bitch" to the reasons I didn't like her. Bye.

And my issue isn't that body type is how they are judged... because we all know that in the world of celebrity and model status that it is what people look at the most...

Pearl should've been bottom two, like it's not even in question. That eleganza had me gagging for all the wrong reasons. That was a ****ing onesie, and Ornacia's pet cat. And her BFF was the most inappropriate / ignorant of the task specifications.

I do like Pearl now, she was one of my favourites and then the blatant manipulation of her 'arc' threw me right off her, it was such an obvious production move, but now she is really outstaying her welcome and should never have gotten beyond 6th place tbh. I concede that any of the other 4 could've arguably been bottom two (Violet's win was obvious and deserved and excellent), but to throw both the queens with excellent talent and range, and one weak week under their belts, against each other? Whilst the two obvious weak links were safe? Baloney.

Really pleasantly surprised that Violet won. I was sure Pearl only made it into the final to make sure the two younger queens would take votes from each other, and to keep Kennedy from taking any votes from Ginger. I mean, it was the only explanation I could come up with when Pearl's final 3 resume was basically being a weak Violet (all about the look with lackluster to okay performance skills).

I didn't think we'd see another queen screwed out of the win because of an 'unlikeable' personality after Phi Phi and Roxxxy, but with this cast I don't think Ru wanted to risk crowning Ginger. Don't actually know how I feel about it since Ginger was so talented, but Violet's aesthetic and refinement take just as much talent. IMO its art, she's an artist.

Looking at RPDR overall, I'm glad that an emphasis is being put back onto the look. After Tyra's win was followed by a Raja win (who was more likable, but still look based), we ended up getting Sharon, Jinkx, and Bianca who were great talents with alright looks. And that happened mostly because the viewers were over the Tyra/Raja type and started focusing more on personality and performance. For a while that's all the show has been about, but Violet's win should bring more balance to the importance of look and performance.

i rewatched s5 recently and I was a bit harsh on it. The tasks, lipsyncs and general drama >>>>>> 7, 6 and probably 1 and 3 too. I think 'RuPaul Roast' is probably my favourite ever episode - just because the roast itself (Alaska/Jinkx/Detox/Coco KILL IT), Roxxxy's wig reveal, her on-stage meltdown and Ru's words of support <3 just an episode that delivered everything. And it had Deven of 'Welcome to my Home' fame <3

I've heard so many bad things about Season 7, I might delay it for a bit :laugh:

And I've been watching some Alaska clips back and realise I was quite harsh on her, she's probably in my top 5 of Season 5 tbh, and Roxxxy isn't my fave of that season anymore, Alyssa is.

Also I loved "Oh No She Better Don't" challenge in S6 (even tho I couldn't tell what the **** Trinity was saying :laugh:)

I don't hate Jinkx I just don't find her nearly as funny as the rest of the fans do. And she was given such a ridiculously favourable edit as well - I'm more annoyed that Alaska was just written off as a potential winner because she had a boyfriend as the previous winner, and wasn't bullied by Roxxxy.

Because Alaska ****s all over Jinkx. Aside from the telenovela and Snatch Game, I don't recall any excellent Jinkx moments. Alaska killed the perfume ad, Snatch Game, the Sugar Ball, would've probably won the Roast with Coco if she hadn't put herself first, and was the best in the music video IMO ("I hope I don't go to prison but if I do I hope it's a men's prison", as well as her defense character graduating law school at 20 "I don't know how that happened... :unsure:" :joker:)

And I also found the narcolepsy thing to be a bit overplayed really... like I doubt it had as much of an effect on her chances as they made out :laugh:

She pretty much had the biggest fanbase to win in the final week of this season, it was disgusting. Like I don't like throwing the "you only like her because he's hot out of drag" card around, because she had some great looks in drag too, but it just all smacked of "liking the prettiest/most striking queen".

Violet wasn't too far behind in likes I suppose but even her fans were all "Team Violet and Pearl!!!!"

I just didn't get it at all. Reminded me of Jinkx really with the attempts to paint her in a "the other queens don't get her and bully her" light, except far less talented. I don't like Jinkx at all but she's damn talented.

And in this drama - from what I gathered from a quick glance at Reddit, which really is the arsehole of the internet, Raja called out Pearl for not showing up to a gig, Pearl claimed exhaustion and lack of sorority on Raja's part, her fans went for Raja and called her old. I'm not Raja's biggest fan but at least she interests me.
