Just finished CBB6. Ngl, I stopped paying as much attention as I normally would, halfway through. But I made it! :hugesmile: Anyway, the new me decided to do write ups for my last overall post so I’m going to be consistent and do it again I guess. But I’ll try and get onto BB10 fairly quickly as I hear that’s a good series, and after that - I need to watch a good series...

CBB6 Cast Ranking

1. Tina: A raging, loud, always righteous goddess! Whether she was swearing, shouting at Coolio, having a normal conversation, swearing or spitting her food right back into her hand, she was the best housemate of this series. By a mile. “Get ye baps aht for a undred grand! For a undred grand, ah’ll shove them up me ahse for ya!” Also, this (http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10434897&postcount=2762) needs to be brought up because it’s one of my favourite CBB fights. :love:

2. Verne - There’s not much that needs to be said, it’s Verne Troyer. Imo his best moment was him getting a bit pissed one night and coming onto La Toya - “god loves a Troyer” - then driving into the diary room door using his scooter. (Or that could have been the other way round idk) Anyway, he’s a legend and the world isn’t the same without Verne Troyer in it </3

3. La Toya - In her own little world but in the best way possible! Just like Rachel Rice from the previous civilian series, she proves that you do not need to be confrontational to be a good housemate. Only on Big Brother would you see a member of the Jackson family licking gentlemen’s relish off of a window.

4. Michelle - “Yeah, thanks for the boos” Most of my appreciation stems from feeling sorry for her, as she was badly treated by Coolio in the house, in connection to the way she dealt with it too, but otherwise I don’t have much else to say. A nice person though!

5. Ulrika - She was nice and all but I think she’s one of the most random winners Big Brother ever had :skull: Which is good because the predictable winners are usually just not that great, such as Scotty T, Ryan and Chantelle. And Ulrika is better than them! There were some good bits from her though, such as singing Endless Love with Verne, telling Lucy that SHE was going home over herself and standing up to Coolio.

6. Tommy - He was ok, but George Galloway did the Scottish socialist trying to make the public like him act better 3 years prior. On the other hand, he should have made the final and my reaction when he lost out to Ben Adams? “PISH! PISH!”

7. Mutya - The Orlaith after Orlaith and the Trisha before Trisha in the sense that she walked straight after her eviction? Idk, i wasn’t sure of what else to say in here, she did nowt.

8. Lucy - I’m sure she’s nice enough but she was dull and preached about why the Labour party is bad and yeah that’s just not going to get you on my good side, as much as I try not to base my HM taste on their politics but when you do nothing else, I guess I’ll have to? (not that she got much chance in fairness)

9. Terry - I’ve never really liked Terry Christian anyway even before watching this series and have usually found him to be a smarmy pillock, hence my initial dislike. However, he wasn’t as bad as I thought he was going to be in this but I still don’t really like him that much.

10. Coolio - An unpopular opinion but he wasn’t the worst of this series? He’s a still a massive twat though. He can get second worst. I would say his wind-ups were funny for a start and sometimes he was kinda funny but that all wore thin real quick. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, the song Gangsta’s Paradise is now slightly tainted. :inamood:

11. Ben - The definition of irrelevant, bar the hilarious irony of him nominating Mutya because she was dull. (I mean he was lowkey right but still! Something about glass Big Brother houses and stones!) WELP. Anyway he’s a smug prick and Coolio was right about him. So that pushes Coolio above him and look where it places Ben. :smug:

I started BB10 last night and finished the launch this morning. It seems ok so far but the thing that stood out the most for me is, the launch felt really dry? In comparison to the other series at least. Idk if that’s because of BB being cancelled though. The cast seem pretty good so far too :clap2:

Yeah the launch was so dead and had zero atmosphere. The 'Crowd' looked like they were just a bunch of Tesco shoppers. You can tell that the producers had given up at this time- such a shame since they had a Phenomenal Cast. Compare the BB9 Launch and even the CBB6 to BB10 and there's a big difference.

I can’t believe Noirin wants the glasses and mustache task to end so badly that she’s actually willing to go on hunger strike for it, I feel quite sorry for her actually. How disappointing of an arguer he turned out to be is beside the point regardless if I wanted him to full on verbally attack her, what matters to me is her complete over reaction to one passing joke he makes followed by saying some of the most malicious comments I've ever heard from a housemate. Someone's looks are a very personal thing everyone is conscious about and this was the worst way of attacking someone for it

One of the best punishments ever. Kris, Sophie and Charlie's face were a picture when their name was announced to be facing eviction. This punishment was so brutal, I love it. To think if that hadn't occurred, that weeks eviction would've been between Marcus and Freddie. I dread to even think of that. Kris's eviction is one of the best

Hi all.

First things first, let me say how glad I am to have found this thread. Out of nowhere I had the urge to watch some old BBs, having been out the loop for most of the c5 era, and had no-one in the real world I can talk to about it, haha.

Just re-reading through some of the thread beings back lots of memories form when I was really into the show. I might also need you all for some guidance when I try to venture into channel 5 BB.

Anyway, here's where I'm at if interested:

I started watching BB13 (first time) but have put it on pause temporarily. I do plan to go back

Instead I have decided to watch BB5. I only started watching daily from BB6, and what I know about 5 is mainly from news at the time and catching the occasional BBLB and the eviction shows. So even though I know the main stories and the rough boot order, there's a lot I still don't know.And I'm absolutely loving it

Thoughts up to Kitten eviction:

The Kitten storyline is fascinating to watch, but I'm glad she came out when she did. I felt at the end of the day, she was just a bit of a show-off who couldn't back up her arguments very well
The Dan and Jason storyline this week is just weird. Neither come out of it well.
In contrast, I think Stu and Michelle is quite sweet right now. Although I'm sure my opinion will change in due course.
Shell is a bit of a revelation for me. One my fave bits was when Kitten was trying to justify why painting on the mirrors was 'necessary' and Shell's response was "yeah..............erm, actually, no", followed by Shell ensuring she wouldn't be confining Kitten. So sweet.
At the time, did people really think they would evict someone other than Kitten?
I'm also watching BBLBs in between episodes and Dermot is a delight. Plus it's a good way of seeing what public opinion was at the time.

Actually I take this back I don’t think she’s actually being overtly nasty in this. I MEAN SHE IS BUT Danielle is doing the same so it’s pretty level. 9 times out of 10 she crosses the line but here it’s all pretty classic BB. My opinion may change again when I see the highlights show though with the full argument.

Also my favourite thing about live feed is how it cuts out context sometimes :laugh:

BB8 Day 9 (Emily's Ejection):

Really intense episode. First of all Charley and Chanelle kicking off over the lost task equipment was hilarious, Chanelle throwing a tantrum cos she wanted ha boots oops.

Then the whole racism thing :skull: I know Emily didn't mean any offence to it at all, and she didn't really see the seriousness of the situation, she just sort of shrugged it off because she's "a nice person" even when BB was telling her off. In any other series though I feel like a formal and final warning would have been given for that, but because it was so soon after CBB5 then it had to be done. She needed a reality check, but I did feel a little bad just because there wasn't any malice in it. Charley was obviously quite shocked by it though. Also I LoVeD them showing the full ejection, this is what Channel 5 should have done :fist:
