I’m on Amma’s evicted. I’ve been watching the rest of the series while doing other things because of the dip in quality. It definitely isn’t great now but I expected a lot worse. Brian is clearly entertaining and I kind of enjoy elizabeth a bit in a weird way? lol her and amma’s relationship was cute. The whole Brian and Josh narrative is quite interesting there’s clearly something there. As for the rest of them.. Helen is alright, funny blonde but that’s about it. Alex is a top 10 housemate imo and the likes of Jade, Sandy, Adele, Tim and Kate are all good too.

The rich/poor divide is still one of my favourite twists!

it's the only early series i've not watched, so I feel like I should. currently on day 12, a few days before the first eviction. Definitely not as strong as BB1 was but i'm still enjoying it a tad because of narinder and penny mainly. Dean has to be one of the most boring housemates ever.

:/ weird series. the first four weeks were quite entertaining not as much as 1 & 3 were but still good viewing. Then after Narinder’s eviction the quality slowly dropped. The last final weeks felt like a helen and paul fly on the wall show, painful. paul is one of the biggest sexist pigs i’ve seen on the show I always found it so annoying when he would doubt brian & josh’s sexuality. didn’t mind helen she was definitely better without paul around. As for the rest of them apart from narinder, brian and penny just a bit boing really I did enjoy amma grilling paul though.

this series would fit into the bottom three i think, slightly better then 4 and maybe 12 maybe but that’s it.

Brilliant Series and my favourite from that pre golden era and its easily a top 5 series. Like one said its a shame it doesn't get too much recognition on here. Alex Sibley is one of my all time faves and the likes of Jade, Adele, Tim, Sandy and Kate are all really good characters.

I was the first on the forum to clock it when I made that thread asking people who their favourite/least favourite week 8 evictees were :laugh:. Cos almost all of them were well-remembered housemates. (with the exception of Rachel Ifon and Zoe Birkett) :skull:. And then series 17-19 were all 7-8 weeks anyway so didn't have any week 8 evictees aside from backdoor ones which don't really count as 'events' as such anyway.

Not watched any BB in a good few years and I was inspired to start BB6 in full because of the E4 anniversary show. I'm on the third eviction episode and it's worth the hype tbh, I'm absolutely hooked. Perfect thing to do during lockdown

I'm doing my best to see it as 2005 and as much as I cringe at some comments I'm giving the housemates a pass on some things because of the era it was and not letting it cloud my enjoyment of them as much as I would if said comments were made now. Kemal and Makosi are just fantastic TV. Such an excellent cast.. I don't know any evictions or their orders though, just the winner and runner-up so I'm excited to see what's to come

I think I’d enjoy Saskia more if she did more than just sit and flirt with Maxwell who is a total bellend. They’re all quite unlikeable but there’s some really human moments in between bickering and I enjoy the dynamic.

A lot happened in the week, Nikki having tantrums due to Lisa nominating her, a couple rows, Glyn's puking episode, couple parties, Lisa's eviction and Aisleyne and Imogen becoming very close. It was nice to see Imogen having the most fun I have seen when they were taking part in the pub quiz and she was paired up with Ash. It was the most likeable she has been, she is still boring though.

So, Jonathan is evicted by Aisleyne. A shame because i think he would have been a good HM. Up to his eviction, I would have placed him probably in 6th-7th area. Spiral enters the house with Aisleyne. Nikki having an absolute meltdown both in the bedroom and then the DR about Ash coming back. However the party to celebrate Lea or Richard's last night, they danced together and consoled other. Am io right in thinking that this was the moment they ended up being friends? Because they seemed very friendly when they visited the BB16 house, they had each others backs etc...

Lea was OK for the most part, but the day before the eviction, she cried through half of the actual show. And I don't get what her problem with Susie is. Susie is minding her own business doing Susie things. She never bitches, doesn't want to get involved in the pettiness.

Kudos for Imogen telling Jayne and Nikki not to treat her like an idiot about the whole her liking Aisleyne thing. Jayne was annoying always at every opportunity slagging Ash off. Aisleyne could walk past silently and Jayne would turn around and say "see... she's such a bitch". She constantly tries to tell people that Aisleyne was the devil in the HND, and i am glad the main Hms didn't react and basically tell her they like her (as did Michael and Jennie).

Had to laugh at Spiral and Jayne having a row in the middle of the night. I bet the HMs were really shocked and confrontational Spiral was, they were probably like :conf: :joker: Sprial has been "meh", tbh so far in this first full day i like him better here then i did in the HND. But I know he will become an arse.

Lea is evicted with 53%. Pretty close. I think had she not cried for most of the last night, she could have stayed over Richard.

I couldn't stand her in the first few weeks because she was obsessed with hating Aisleyne even when she was the reason Jayne became a housemate, she brought out the worst and most bitter side in Nikki, she partly was the reason the series hit the downfall slope its known for once she had the rest of the house put up, and she wanted to be loud and overbearing all the time. And then after Nikki left, I found her alright because I got used to her annoying ways, she shown a much nicer side for people, and even made amends with those she clashed with before (though I still don't like her on the whole).

I disliked him at first due to his two faced ways especially towards legend Caggy, but as time went on his antics just became laughable as they slowly but surely became obvious to the rest of the house. When his cheating was exposed I felt more pity for him than anything else, like Tom said.
He was an odd but entertaining man who was fascinating to watch, who holds a special place in BB history.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed BB1! I was expecting it to be quite dull in places but there was always something going on, with a good mix of drama and funny moments. A really addictive watch.

Noirin managing to cause all the drama :love: I love how Sophie and Karly are only ever shown when they're bitching about people it makes me scream. Sree is an absolute DELIGHTFUL housemate. His inability to concentrate in the dancing task and him serving raw bacon to Lisa made me SCREECH. The way he casually walks up to people and insults them :love: His obsession with Noirin is a bit too much mind which is why he's not higher up. I love Angel but I don't understand why she was allowed to starve herself this week its a bit messy. Her blowing raspberries whilst Sree begged her to stop because of his headache was my highlight of the week :laugh2: I think it would be quite easy for Freddie to start getting picked on in the house. We haven't seen enough of Rodrigo yet but from what I have seen he's lovely. Lisa and Marcus would have been the opposite way around during the week due to the fact I believe Marcus/Freddie were completely right against Lisa in the bedroom row over Angel and Noriin's hunger strike, but her treatment of Sree compared to Marcus' is way better, even though I do understand how annoying Sree must have been to live with. Marcus seems on and on at him all the time. Kris and Charlie are so cringe as a duo and it's so obvious that both think they're going to win. I howled @ BB bollocking Kris and Sophie in the diary room for faking a showmance. Charlie's nominations performance this week was also utterly fake and pandering to viewers. Cairon and Siavash are so utterly lifeless despite acting like they're the fun of the house and its so offputting.

Dunno what the consensus on BB3 is at all but a few thoughts since I'm over halfway now.

- Jonny is by far one of the worst housemates I've ever watched. Every scene with him is DRAINING.

- PJ is a pig. Bragging about what he did with Jade but then it turns out he didn't even talk to HER about it?! When it was clear she had no memory? Asshat.

- I felt a bit sorry for how ostracised Sophie was feeling but she was pretty boring so I ultimately didn't care? Is that bad?

- I'm finding my opinion on Jade changing almost every episode.

- I'm not feeling this 'Adele's a bitch' storyline that's brewing. :nono:

- I am absolutely flying my way through this series lmao. Loving it so far, its on par with or maybe even better than BB1's first 2 weeks.

- The editing of this series seems a lot more like how reality TV is edited nowadays, as opposed to BB1's documentary style, if that makes sense?

- One of my favourite moments of the week was Stuart's anecdote which he clearly found HILARIOUS getting a silent reaction from the rest of the group :love:

- Narinder is amazing, I bloody love her and her vents in the diary room. Screamed when everyone was talking about how hard they found nominations but she was just like 'tbh I could have happily nominated about 6 people' lmao

- Penny is a SCREAM! It took me a while to warm to her as she was a bit much but I've grown to love her. Her finally snapping and shouting/bitching about the others was a hoot. Gutted she's out.

- Also loving legend Amma and her messy ways. Obsessed with how almost every time she's shown she's ominously predicting massive dramas yet to come in the house :love: Also the hair brushing argument with Penny made me die.

- I continue to be baffled as to why Dean was chosen as a housemate? He's dull dull DULL and so unlikeable.

- I really like the late night discussion topics BB would give them in the early series. I find them really interesting and it gives you a good insight into the HMs personalities and back stories.

I love Angel but I don't understand why she was allowed to starve herself this week its a bit messy. Her blowing raspberries whilst Sree begged her to stop because of his headache was my highlight of the week :laugh2: I think it would be quite easy for Freddie to start getting picked on in the house. We haven't seen enough of Rodrigo yet but from what I have seen he's lovely. Lisa and Marcus would have been the opposite way around during the week due to the fact I believe Marcus/Freddie were completely right against Lisa in the bedroom row over Angel and Noriin's hunger strike, but her treatment of Sree compared to Marcus' is way better, even though I do understand how annoying Sree must have been to live with. Marcus seems on and on at him all the time. Kris and Charlie are so cringe as a duo and it's so obvious that both think they're going to win. I howled @ BB bollocking Kris and Sophie in the diary room for faking a showmance. Charlie's nominations performance this week was also utterly fake and pandering to viewers. Cairon and Siavash are so utterly lifeless despite acting like they're the fun of the house and its so offputting.

I never knew how gobby Noirin was when I used to see people discuss her on here lmao<3 The fact she's literally driving all the stories in the house in the minute because EVERYBODY is in love with her :love: I sided with Rodrigo in their row over Angel washing up though, I thought Noirin was being a bit of a bitch for no reason. Karly and Sophie's constant drunken antics are a light relief to everything else going on in the house. Get Dirrty by Dogface and Karly on streaming sites! Sree continues to be an absolute car crash to watch but it's so hilarious. His 'Would you like Indian boys?' line to Charlie made me spit out my drink lmfaooo. Angel was such a wacky crazy housemate <3 Her sexual advances on Freddie and her accusing Noirin of being 3 months pregnant made me HOWL however awkward they were. Her threatening to strip naked in her exit interview :love: I love how Freddie and Rodrigo stuck up for her when I felt she was being ostracised by the house. Marcus and Siavash have been pretty mellow this week but I still don't really appreciate their presences. Charlie is so desperate to win and it's awful to watch and him throwing the water balloon over Angel when she was just sat quietly making her costume was so sad to watch. Lisa and Kris just suck all the fun, life and energy out of the series for me and that's why they're bottom this week.

- I am absolutely flying my way through this series lmao. Loving it so far, its on par with or maybe even better than BB1's first 2 weeks.

- The editing of this series seems a lot more like how reality TV is edited nowadays, as opposed to BB1's documentary style, if that makes sense?

- One of my favourite moments of the week was Stuart's anecdote which he clearly found HILARIOUS getting a silent reaction from the rest of the group :love:

- Narinder is amazing, I bloody love her and her vents in the diary room. Screamed when everyone was talking about how hard they found nominations but she was just like 'tbh I could have happily nominated about 6 people' lmao

- Penny is a SCREAM! It took me a while to warm to her as she was a bit much but I've grown to love her. Her finally snapping and shouting/bitching about the others was a hoot. Gutted she's out.

- Also loving legend Amma and her messy ways. Obsessed with how almost every time she's shown she's ominously predicting massive dramas yet to come in the house :love: Also the hair brushing argument with Penny made me die.

- I continue to be baffled as to why Dean was chosen as a housemate? He's dull dull DULL and so unlikeable.

- I really like the late night discussion topics BB would give them in the early series. I find them really interesting and it gives you a good insight into the HMs personalities and back stories.

Helen was such an IRRITANT this week. I don't understand why the public and Davina were so obsessed with and happy for the Helen and Paul thing considering she openly had a boyfriend who only a matter of weeks ago said she wanted to marry???? CHEATING slag.

Brian wasn't as funny this week as in the past but overall I think he was a worthy winner, his exit, response from the crowd and reunion with his friends and fam was very cute.

- Really liking Jade in this first week. Loved how excited she was in the diary room to start her experience :love:

- I am *obsessed* with Lynne's messy ways. She'd be a nightmare to live with but she's a hoot to watch. - I love Kate! The Jerry Springer show recreation and her accent during it was a hoot.
- Adele is quite RUDE! Sunita who was feeling down in the house asked her if she had any siblings, she replied 'Yeah, 6.' in a cold manner and didn't bother asking her back??
- Sandy does my HEAD in! VERY aggressive behaviour from him over some of the HMs using some sugar to make a surprise bday cake for Lee. The horror! And him ruining the surprise in the process. Prick. Also I HATED when he went to Sunita as she was about to walk "Yeah, I knew you weren't right from day one but I just didn't say anything" looking all smug. Like that's not something to be proud of?? Karly robbed legend</3 Her eviction was so cruel! Her delight at 40 cigs to sobbing over her sodden matches was my favourite moment of the series so far. I really wish our queen stayed! I've really enjoyed watching her this week and she's managed to actually display Noirin as my fave for the week. Marcus is really so miserable and boring and I can't stand when the camera pans to him any longer. ADORED the returns of Michelle, Makosi, Craig and Nikki :love: Sophie's singing made me screech and I howled at Craig dragging Sophie and Karly for their extensions and them gasping at each other and Makosi telling Siavash there was a second house with 12 better housemates in it <333 As well as Nikki dragging Marcus and having a go at Karly for wanting Pete in the task over her! My favourite week so far I loved it. Bea and David look really promising! I already know Tom and Kenneth don't last long so I shan't get my hopes up and I'm undecided on Hira. - Really liking Jade in this first week. Loved how excited she was in the diary room to start her experience :love:
- Not stanning Jonny at all after the toenail biting/smelling incident. VILE
- I am *obsessed* with Lynne's messy ways. She'd be a nightmare to live with but she's a hoot to watch. The way she could start and argument in an empty room :love: When she randomly just went 'YOU'RE A VERY SELF ASSURED COCKY YOUNG MAN!' out of the blue to Spencer. Charley hew? She's always right in what she says as well tbf. Spencer IS an arrogant tosser (who smells)! Don't blame ha for wanting to 'kick his ***** in!
- Another reason I dislike Spencer is that he always moans at how bored he is, yet doesn't get involved in anything with the rest of the group? Like babe what do you expect!
- Lynne washing ha knickers in the kitchen sink them hanging them up all over the house and cameras made me SCREAM.
- Alison nicking the chicken's eggs at 7am to eat all for haself :love: Also obsessed with all the fun activities Alison has the HMs doing morning noon and night like the water aerobics and sex positions game nnn
- I love Kate! The Jerry Springer show recreation and her accent during it was a hoot.

Started a BB11 rewatch and got through Week 1. I enjoyed the first few days quite a bit! ~The Mole~ was kind of a dumb opening twist but it was entertaining enough and by default is one of the better ones this show has done. Other than that, it's kind of chill so far with not many big plot points. Shabby and Ben have gotten in a squabble but they don't REALLY hate each other just yet. John James keeps talking about how Corin is one of the most gorgeous women he's ever met in his life?! I forgot just how Sunshine-dominant the early days were but I'm not mad about it at all :love: The Rachael/John James storyline also took up A LOT more airtime than I remembered so in some ways I'm glad we can move past it now.

Corin (she was practically INV until she stood up for Rachael when John Jams yelled at her, but after that she's been OTTP hilarity with her lie to Sunshine about being pregnant and expecting that she'll be painted bright red for her bright day from Bob Righter and singing Always Look on the Bright Side of Life in the DR :love: her affect is rather hypnotic too honestly)
2. Sunshine (alol she's SO awkward and lacks so many social skills but I'm enamored by her. Her elocution is just hilarious when she says **** like "My name is Sunshine :)" when BB asks them to say who will be doing part of a task or when she goes into the DR and asks if she can be the mole because she feels bad for Mario :joker: she's definitely a grating human to live with and she takes some of her arguments with people WAY too far while just saying the same thing over and over again, she balances it out with random moments like jumping on Mario's back for a piggyback ride immediately after accusing him of being the mole)
3. Ben (a little lowkey this week but he's just really funny with what he says and how he says it? I'm ready for him to BREAK OUT with his scathing insults and commentary because so far all we've gotten is "whose bollocks will be snapped off next?" re: Shabby/Caoimhe/Ife)
4. Josie (one of the better Dead Normal Me girls in BBUK lore? At least when she's not codependent on John James yet :3)
5. Nathan (so UTR but I kinda vibe with him whenever he's shown on screen? He seems nice enough and at this point that's good enough for a #5 in my ranking)
6. Steve (I, too, am also shocked that Steve is my #6 but like Nathan, he's kinda vaguely likable at times so far)
Rachael (I do feel bad for her and I think she is a fun enough human BUT oh my god just give it up with John James. It was just sad to watch her keep crawling back for more bc he thought he was fit and she wanted to be his friend and at some point you just have to say **** him and leave it be!!! Also she was kinda bitchy about Sunshine early on but oh well)
7. Ife (The secret works, apparently)
8. Caoimhe (the only moment I remember is her saying John James was a WANKER when he made Rachael cry)
9. Govan (definitely the biggest bitch in the early days but NOT the worst ever like we all thought back in 2010. He's calmed down lately and I'm fine with him)
10. Shabby (Ben's absolutely right that she IS an actress and hams it up so much with how SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAAAAAND and she's kinda annoying honestly :3 I know that by the time she walked I ended up at least being able to appreciate what she brought to the show but I'm not there yet!)
11. Mario (I guess he handled being the mole well but after that he's just been MOR fodder lusting after Ben, and if you want to lust after a straight boy you have to be willing to stoop to Craig Coates levels of psychosis for me to care!)
12. Dave (his entire persona is creepy and off-putting)
13. John James (I know he's not even at his worst yet but he's already in red! It takes, like, four days for him to decide that Rachael is THE SCUM OF THE EARTH because of her face, and it also extended to him talking about how he was being nice to Mario by always going into the Mole Hole and saying good night to him every night, and then all the girls started doing it because they just wanted to get on TV since they know Mario's a focal point of the show. But John James was just doing it to be noble and kind :skull: Also he keeps going on about how he HATES arrogance and shallowness and then tries to talk about how men don't treat women well enough after he keeps shouting down Rachael and making her cry?! And openly talks about how he doesn't last long in bed at all?! Everything is so contrived for the public to like him and it's frightening how it ends up working ugh kill me I can't handle a full series of him)

- Sophie is such a queen in all honesty for remaining positive despite everyone bitching about ha. 1. Ben (alol what a disaster of a human being :love: he means well fundamentally but just puts his foot in his mouth time and time again and every interaction he has with other people ends up being a complete disaster. He's witty and incisive and FUNNY so duh)
2. Corin (her best day ever was AMAZING but then she literally didn't exist afterwards other than when a bloody moth attacked her asdfjkl;)
3. Sunshine (had a very low-key week but the latest episode had her receive crisps so I think #Crispgate will be coming soon. I'm impressed with the damage control she did after receiving ten nominations last week)
4. Ife (she's nowhere close to green but alol at her literally being like "Hey Keeva, Shabby has something to tell you ;o)" to Shabby's horror, and then being all "um guys I want to distance myself from you two bc your conversations BORE me but no hard feelings xx" lmaooooo)
5. Josie (she kinda had a low-key week but the fact that she already riled up John James to the point where he almost quit during Week 2 is pretty remarkable so gj girl)
6. Steve (he seems nice?)
Govan (I definitely don't like him BUT I have some pity definitely. He was a bitchy gossip but he was also young and dumb and definitely not fully comfortable with his sexuality and who he is and I feel like that's just a really bad time in your life to have documented on national television. And I think he realized that too :3 his eviction interview was awkward bc you could tell he was just recoiling in horror the whole time. Also, wanting to walk because you heard a producer laugh at you while you were crying in the DR is my fave reason ever for wanting to walk)
7. Nathan (he didn't exist this week honestly)
8. Dave (somehow was't completely abhorrent because he really wasn't on the show and just got SPV about being a fake religious nut. But he's one of the closest things to a loyal Ben cub so that gets him points?)
9. Shabby (she is A Lot and I don't particularly like her and she's horrid in arguments but she kinda cut back on the theatrics this week so gj I guess)
10. Mario (became a whiny drip as soon as he got nominated but thx for being a loyal Ben cub)
11. Caoimhe (so I'm not really liking her at all? She doesn't get a whole lot of personalized focus but she's just vaguely bitchy and mean-spirited and not really in a fun way. And I feel like I fundamentally disagree with, like, every take she has alol)

John James (threatening to quit bc Josie had playful banter with him that ~crossed the line~, endlessly haranguing Sunshine for dumb **** including going by a fake nickname when he literally changed his name to Achilles in a former life, getting the house punished for discussing the fact that Ben nominated Sunshine and then lashing out at Ben for being dishonest and disloyal, complaining about how it's ANNOYING that it's illegal to not vote in Australia so therefore he has to do a write-in for Yoda bc he hates politics and doesn't care about it since it doesn't affect him directly... over him already and there's still eight weeks left of him :skull: AND we're not even in the John Josie saga yet omfg)

Another decent week! I feel like there's not really much of an overarching storyline and this cast isn't really that complex and the house dynamics aren't really established all that well so that's not really good, but each episode is entertaining enough in isolation so I'm still enjoying things! The Caoimhe/Shabby love saga had a lot of focus in the beginning of the week was kind of annoying at times, but it really is a tragic story of unrequited lesbian love. And then after that storyline was done we had a half-week of Ben just being a disaster and handling every human interaction in the worst way possible and getting isolated by the entire house :love: I feel like next week will be when things really start to pick up in terms of storylines and dynamics that become important for the remainder of the season so we'll see!

- Felt sorry for Jade when the group was kind of shunning her a bit (even Alex was a bit nasty to her which I was NOT happy about!) but I did scream at her teary denial that she was playing a game: "Everyone says I'm doing tacticals or tic-tacs or whatever, I don't even know what they mean so how can I play em?' ffnf
- Alex absolutely pissed out his head in the bathroom talking to himself was a hoot

I’ve got round to watching the first week of BB3 and enjoyed it a lot! I love the Attenborough-esque narrations from Marcus in early BB. The housemates as a collective are naive to the experience and it’s refreshing. They’re almost child-like in comparison to the later series where people are seasoned to the phenomenon it once was and try hard to live up to what’s usually expected. Not that these lot aren’t try-hard because the first couple of days are basically like a holiday camp, lmao.

I’m already irritated by Alison, Jonny, and Kate. They’re too hyper and generally too much to take in. I know it’s frowned upon now to dislike Alison because of her current reputation but she especially comes across quite bolshy and annoying. Jonny is too much of an alpha-wannabe. I go back and forth with both Spencer and Sandy. They’re both intriguing oddballs but have moments where they are unnecessarily rude. Jade is an absolute mess but I’m finding her endearing atm. PJ is a non-entity when he’s not chastising Lynne, and Lee is hot and somewhat likeable. Adel and Alex are my favourite two so far, I like that they’re mellow and not afraid to do and say what they think.

Sunita leaving was interesting to follow. I get why someone walking into summer camp and being blasted into Jerry Springer re-enactments and sex games would be overwhelmed, cause I would be too, but she really lost herself along the way. She seemed to be one of the few people who had a distinct personality/voice at the beginning. Like when she was arguing with Jade about addiction and Jade claimed people choose to be addicted(eek) I liked that Sunita was basically like 'um no'. On the other hand, there was an unlikable snobbiness to her, you know? The whole ‘I’m a barrister’ thing, hun, we get it. You’re still on Big Brother.

Lynne was such a delight! I can hear voice while I’m typing this. I can totally get behind her just verbally abusing Spencer after a few drinks, serving looks with her cute buns, and saying ‘can you all just piss of oot me face while I pack’ after she gets evicted by the others. I can't @ Davina trying to insuate that the reason lynne didn't like Spencer was because she fancied him! There was even a montage, fgs.

Also, wanting to walk because you heard a producer laugh at you while you were crying in the DR is my fave reason ever for wanting to walk)

John James (threatening to quit bc Josie had playful banter with him that ~crossed the line~, endlessly haranguing Sunshine for dumb **** including going by a fake nickname when he literally changed his name to Achilles in a former life, getting the house punished for discussing the fact that Ben nominated Sunshine and then lashing out at Ben for being dishonest and disloyal, complaining about how it's ANNOYING that it's illegal to not vote in Australia so therefore he has to do a write-in for Yoda bc he hates politics and doesn't care about it since it doesn't affect him directly... over him already and there's still eight weeks left of him :skull: AND we're not even in the John Josie saga yet omfg)

Another decent week! I feel like there's not really much of an overarching storyline and this cast isn't really that complex and the house dynamics aren't really established all that well so that's not really good, but each episode is entertaining enough in isolation so I'm still enjoying things! The Caoimhe/Shabby love saga had a lot of focus in the beginning of the week was kind of annoying at times, but it really is a tragic story of unrequited lesbian love. And then after that storyline was done we had a half-week of Ben just being a disaster and handling every human interaction in the worst way possible and getting isolated by the entire house :love: I feel like next week will be when things really start to pick up in terms of storylines and dynamics that become important for the remainder of the season so we'll see!

Ben (between telling John James that he would rather kill himself than be dependent on McDonald's and slapstick humor like he is, explicitly calling the Tree of Temptation stupid to its face, and his comment about how he's apparently a horrible person bc he doesn't want Mario's wiener up his bum, this was Ben's week :love::love::love: I'm excited for the military sergeant punishment next bc I completely forgot about that until the preview for next episode but holy **** it was hysterical)
2. Corin (very low-key this week but still a delight)
Sunshine (okay so she's definitely Annoying but in a way that's endearing to the viewer and allows her to provide a lot of funny moments. Also the entire circumstances of her boot week are among the most bull****... ever? Between crispgate and her drunkenly getting upset over John James exposing her underwear/giving her rug burn. Like everything about the week was bull**** for her, poor thing)
3. Ife (alol there is SUCH a ****ing gap between her and Corin but I love how she just randomly pops up with a DR that's like "ummm I actually am realizing that I have been sucked into this Caoimhe/Shabby vortex where I am definitely the third wheel and I don't like it because I am my own person who has her own opinions and I need out like yesterday O_O" it's actually a great buildup to cringegate that I forgot about)

The John Josie scenes are LONG and ANNOYING and he's actually mean to Sunshine under the guise of ~bantz~ and ~winding up~ and to quote Sue Hawk, his inability to admit his failures without going into a whiny speech makes him a bit of a loser in life. The whole Sunshine rug burn saga was just him freaking out because he thought she made him look like a wifebeater and he just refused to hear her out about why she was actually upset. I think next week is when he and Corin start going at each other so lord help me)

This week felt kinda disjointed because there were so many different small plot points, but it wasn't boring because there was a lot going on? We had Crispgate, Shabby losing her hat and completely melting the **** down over it, the beginning of the Shabby/Caoimhe disintegration, John James kinda pissing everyone off with how ****ing paranoid he is about everyone else's motives, the Sunshine/John James disagreement that led to her eviction somehow, and then we ended the week with Ben and Mario basically realizing that they have many issues with each other! There wasn't really an overarching narrative but I do feel like things are set up well for next week, at least from what I can remember with cringegate and Shabby walking. And I think Corin and John James have their big blowup which is *VERY* slightly foreshadowed with her nomming him but it still seems like it's going to come out of nowhere so that's exciting. I'm excited for Week 4!

- I hate to say it, but I haven't really liked Alex as much this week. :( He's been a bit of an arse to Jade. I know he was drunk, but slagging her off about her job wasn't very nice. Also his constant moaning, while funny, is getting a bit tiresome now.
- Tim and the contact lens situation was an absolute SCREAM. Surely he can't genuinely think it was discrimination?? Like he has to be taking the piss.
- Jade has been such a queen this week!! If I wasn't 2 years old at the time I would have probs voted for her to win out of the F4 :love:

The whole Sunshine rug burn saga was just him freaking out because he thought she made him look like a wifebeater and he just refused to hear her out about why she was actually upset. I think next week is when he and Corin start going at each other so lord help me)

This week felt kinda disjointed because there were so many different small plot points, but it wasn't boring because there was a lot going on? We had Crispgate, Shabby losing her hat and completely melting the **** down over it, the beginning of the Shabby/Caoimhe disintegration, John James kinda pissing everyone off with how ****ing paranoid he is about everyone else's motives, the Sunshine/John James disagreement that led to her eviction somehow, and then we ended the week with Ben and Mario basically realizing that they have many issues with each other! There wasn't really an overarching narrative but I do feel like things are set up well for next week, at least from what I can remember with cringegate and Shabby walking. And I think Corin and John James have their big blowup which is *VERY* slightly foreshadowed with her nomming him but it still seems like it's going to come out of nowhere so that's exciting. I'm excited for Week 4!

1. Ben (alol what a ****ing DISASTER he was this week :love: I think he's definitely buying into his own hype a little bit after the standup comedy routine but I don't even care? Him refusing the military punishment, making up random lies about having to wear John James's shirt for a task, constantly doing scathing Mario impressions, starting a housewide fight over 1930s foreign policy and WW2... :love::love::love:)

Corin (she didn't really exist this week other than having Caoimhe and John James continually bash her for being fake but then she randomly LASHED OUT and called John James a jumped up little **** and a dickhead and had the read of the century with her saying that at least she only had to travel an hour on the train while John James had to fly across the world for this ****show :joker:)
Shabby (I'm SHOCKED she's this high and almost green because I never really side with her in... any argument she's in alol and she's entirely fake but I think she's real about her fakeness, if that makes sense? Like she uses her outfits and tantrums over **** like Ife "smearing her character" and Nathan "bullying and intimidating" her to cover up the fact that she's a completely different kind of crazy who can't handle being in a house with her crush :joker: I appreciate what she brought to the show even though she was a little too overbearing at times, and ultimately I don't think she's a malicious person at all so I'm fine with her!)
3. Ife (props for standing up to and fully breaking free from Shabby and Caoimhe! That being said, "I never felt so *FREE* before" and "I just let all my inhibitions go and wasn't even thinking" because Proud ****ing Mary was being played into the house is a bizarre take that I don't really vibe with because jesus christ what a loser)
4. Josie (her stealing shoes secret mission was kinda cute and fun but the Combine Harvester song where she basically brought John James into the DR and forced him to sing it like he was a ventriloquist dummy :skull:)
Nathan (alol look at THAT edgic strip and tell me how he got evicted with 89% :skull: the John James fandom really was absurd. That being said, I feel like everyone HATED him at the time for being a bore but he's fine??? He fits into that mold of someone who would be a fun HM to live with but doesn't really make compelling television. Also I don't know if this is unpopular but him "bullying" Shabby was dumb, like they didn't have any interactions other than him calling her a ****ing raincloud of doom alol)
5. Dave (some of his religious stuff skeeves me out and makes me roll my eyes and I do think that Caoimhe is absolutely right about the fact that he dodges talking about his views on certain topics in order to keep his public image intact, but I don't really mind him? He's too inconsequential for me to hate and I very slightly appreciate him as a loyal Ben cub)
6. Caoimhe (so I definitely dislike her less ever since the Shabby walking fallout but I still don't really like her oops. Her winning the Save and Replace Task did not actually help the season at all because John James would've taken just about anyone out in a head to head eviction, and her Corin hatred isn't cute either. That being said, she's becoming slightly more compelling as someone who has to find her way without her two former best friends now? I don't really like that she keeps going on about the same thing to Dave because it's just pointless, but I do think she is absolutely right that he avoids discussing his takes on certain religious matters in order to maintain his image)
7. Steve (officially at the point where he's Too Boring for me to put him in high yellow! It's been a month and he hasn't done anything except for a random blowup at Ben about how he's not allowed to have an opinion on British foreign policy in the 1930s because he's not an MP or a soldier? It was bizarre so no thanks)
8. Mario (yeah I officially do NOT like him. He's just a lecherous and creepy gay who pretends to be some haughty intellectual but only talks about dicks and sex and ALIENS like no thank you. He also throws multiple tantrums at Ben for no ****ing reason other than the fact that he can't handle the fact that he wants to shag him. Like, there are MANY reasons to get irritated by Ben but "he didn't offer me a piece of apple" and "he wants to have a career in TV" are not ones alol. Also he kissed John James in the DR and already started eyeing up Andrew *MINUTES* after he ~touched down~ in the garden like what the ****)
9. John James (he's not even at peak levels of fury yet but this week he was basically Josie's ventriloquist dummy singing the stupid Combine Harvester song in the DR, threw the Save and Replace Task to ~nobly~ save Caoimhe because It Wasn't Her Time Yet (playing god in the BB house is never cute no matter what franchise it is), aaaaand had that godawful argument with Corin where she thankfully alternated between acting like a five year old and acting like the most intelligent person in the house. Everything he does is manufactured in an attempt to get the public to like him and it's nauseating how it successful he is. OH and I forgot how he literally stood up and put on his jacket as Davina was reading out the vote only to feign "shock" when he survived :o :o :o)

A fun week where everyone gets tone :love: Easily the best week so far. Cringegate was a fantastic episode as was the immediate fallout with Shabby walking. Lots of interesting conflicts and relationship developments too, like just off the top of my head you have John James/Corin, Caoimhe/Corin, Ben/Caoimhe, Caoimhe/Dave, Ben/Mario, and the complete downfall of the Raggy Dolls :love: The first month of 11 has actually been really good despite the fact that I don't really LOVE anyone except for Ben and Corin. This cast isn't really all that complex but there's no lack of conflict or forward plot movement or character development so it's been enjoyable. I know that things REALLY go south towards the end of the season but I think I'll be able to find enough enjoyment out of the next two weeks maybe with new intruders?

Fantastic BB11 write-ups, Macie!

I've got round to finishing week two of BB3. It's still enjoyable - I'm not sure why I didn't watch it sooner. The only thing that bothers me is the 'he fancies you, she fancies you' stuff, which never amounts to anything. Like, how many times is Lee going to tell Adel that he likes her? How many times does Adel have to awkwardly laugh it off and say thanks, lmao? It's interesting how desperate people are to get with people in the house. BB really was Love Island before Love Island was Love Island.

I'm not sure what my final thoughts on Alison are because I was sad to see her go, despite the fact that she could be irritating. I think it would've been better had Sandy been evicted (sorry Macie). It was quite cruel how he planted the 'public know what's up' seed into Alison's head right before she'd left, as well as Kate and Jonny. He's a bit of a know-it-all who doesn't really know much, tbh.

Ugh, Alex has been the best part of the week. He's programmed to irritate the life out of people, and I love how he throws strops like a child and refuses to be diplomatic about literally anything. But yeah, peeing in the shower is gross and he has every right to be disgusted by it. The fact that Jonny and Alison made out he wasn't being reasonable because he didn't want them to pee in the shower is...just weird. He is a bit cruel towards Kate but meh whatever, she plays victim too much sometimes.

Lee seems like a cool guy but it's really ****ty how he's using the show to find someone to cheat on his girlfriend with. Adel remains one of my faves, she's just naturally likeable and makes a really good narrator (I love her diary rooms). PJ is still non-existent and boring. Spencer is essentially becoming non-existent and boring. Sophie seems nice but time will tell. I do actually love how Jade plays the 'secret agent' as Alex refers to her. It feels a bit wrong to be enjoying her as much as I am but oh well.

I HAVE to finish up by talking about things from 2002 that would 100% not be accepted in today's society, which is weird because it still doesn't feel that long ago. Like the whole DR on Jade's birthday where she and Kate pretended to be school girls and talked about Alex 'being a boy who thinks he's a girl'. ALSO, there was a major-cringe BBLB episode where Matt Lucas and David Walliams were basically dry af and obviously did not give a crap about Big Brother or Dermot, and when asked about Alison, Matt said something like: 'she reminds me of my dad because they have the same beard'. I mean it's not horrifically backwards but just weird **** that wouldn't be said now-a-days.

1. Ben (also not really in this week except for two episodes where he randomly got a lot of focus but he just brings so much and I always agree with his takes. Points for arguing with John James for like 90 minutes and just throwing random jabs at him like calling him unemployed and saying that he has no brain cells :joker: It was so random and unprovoked but I would absolutely be sick of John James after spending 38 days with him too and listening to him repeat the same points over and over again so relatable king?)
2. Corin (honestly barely in this week and probably could be UTR in another edgicverse but she's still good and UTRfun! I really didn't remember how low-key she was in the first half of the season and it's kinda jarring)
3. Keeley (it's a very very light green that will probably turn to yellow BUT I think she's fun! She's spunky and confident and can hold her own even though the rest of the house had an immediate disdain for/distrust of her. I kinda wish she was an original HM because she would've fared a much better chance at ingratiating)
4. Josie (okay she should ABSOLUTELY be green for her random two days at the start of the week where she just cruelly lashed out at John James and yelled in his face and called him an idiot and a pussy and lied about the DR taking her side in the fight :joker::joker::joker::joker::joker: like that was a legit all-time performance that made me LOVE Josie! But then the rest of the week was just her gushing over John James from a distance and randomly lashing out at Dave bc she thought he called her fat and blegh. I really forgot how long they dragged out the John Josie **** for, like we're halfway through and we're still in the "will they or won't they?" phase)
5. Andrew (okay his nerd shtick is annoying and the rest of the house infantilizing him will become old BUT he actually seems nice and like very very VERY occasionally witty so)
6. Rachel (didn't really exist this week other than her AWFUL cooking for the Come Dine With Me task but just randomly gets all gobby and dumb in the background on occasion and it's hilarious. Like when the Tree gave them the secret mission to dress up like Ben she was just like OHHHHHH BECAUSE BEN DIDN'T DO IT and everyone was just like "shhhh shut the **** up Rachel :\" and then when the Tree told them to piss off she was all OH MY GAWWWWDD HE JUST SWORE AT US!!!! :joker: As MB. said, I'm ready for her breakout!)
Ife (could maybe be MOR2 in another edgiverse but she was barely in her own boot week lol I vaguely like her but she's suuuuuuuuuuuch a weirdo and I could see it being pretty off-putting to live with her alol. I don't know, she's not bad but she does nothing to make me actually like her and then will vaguely frustrate me at times since she's firmly up John James's ass now. Let's see how well that ends for her :hehe:)
9. Steve (didn't really exist outside of like two episodes this week where he decides to randomly thrash out at Keeley but also thirst over her??? It's a bizarre dynamic where he'll yell at her to get out from under HIS aircon if she's bitching about the house being cold but then he'll also flirt with her and check her out and even put his hands on her :umm2:)
10. Mario (just REEKS of desperation. Always mouthing off about how desperate he is for another gay guy, grooming Andrew, throwing hissy fits every time he gets replaced for nominations, getting naked to "diffuse" the Ben/John James fight aka draw attention to himself... he's low-key bad)

John James (was kinda boring in the middle of the week bc he was just the object of Josie's attraction but the beginning of the week was a two-day long meltdown with him threatening to quit over being called Crab Eyes and the end of the week was him railing at Ife over the Davina McCaw task and Ben over Ben being a dick (:love:) and noooooo thank you)

alol it took me almost a month to watch this week but I finally did it! Was busy with work duties and grad school duties and a week-long power outage that really ****ed up my rewatch rhythm. This week was kinda boring though! I'm not sure how much of it had to do with how disjointed my viewing was but it was just a John Josie week at its core and :rolleyes: Caoimhe, Keeley, and Andrew were featured too but pretty much everyone else was paid to dust and a bunch of those MOR2s could easily be UTR2s in another edgicverse. Like, John Josie fought and then continued their will they won't they bull****, everyone loves Andrew, everyone distrusts Keeley, and Caoimhe's just kinda there as the third wheel to John Josie and that's it? STEVE somehow was one of the next most plot-relevant people and he only existed for two days as a lecherous (and possibly adulterous?) creep :skull:

I'm kinda excited for Week 6 bc of the Caoimhe quit and the infamous Spiders in the Tub S&R Task but alol I have no clue when I'll get around to watching because of: A) being a working girl, B) being in grad school, C) BBUS being on, and D) LIUSA being on. Sooooo yeah I'll see y'all in maybe another month!

I’m watching Big Brother 1 for the first time in lockdown 3 and loving it! Crazy how different everything was in the early years. I was only 9 when this aired and don’t remember watching it. The first series I have memories of watching at the time was Big Brother 3.

I’m up to the day when The Sun flew a remote control toy helicopter over the house dropping letters telling the housemates 47% of The Sun readers want Nick out as they are sick of the sight of him and he is bitching behind everyone’s back :laugh:

I watched all of BB6 in lockdown 1 with my cousin (over video call) - first time she saw it and she was hooked.
Early Channel 4 BB is bringing me so much nostalgia of a much happier, simpler, more exciting time. It’s almost making me sad how the house doesn’t even exist now and how different the world has become.

Karly robbed legend</3 Her eviction was so cruel! Her delight at 40 cigs to sobbing over her sodden matches was my favourite moment of the series so far. I really wish our queen stayed! I've really enjoyed watching her this week and she's managed to actually display Noirin as my fave for the week. Marcus is really so miserable and boring and I can't stand when the camera pans to him any longer. ADORED the returns of Michelle, Makosi, Craig and Nikki :love: Sophie's singing made me screech and I howled at Craig dragging Sophie and Karly for their extensions and them gasping at each other and Makosi telling Siavash there was a second house with 12 better housemates in it <333 As well as Nikki dragging Marcus and having a go at Karly for wanting Pete in the task over her! My favourite week so far I loved it. Bea and David look really promising! I already know Tom and Kenneth don't last long so I shan't get my hopes up and I'm undecided on Hira. Her not understanding the secret mission INFURIATED me.

Isolating for 8 days now and got a new laptop so lets get BB10 finished!

I've never known a series revolve around a housemate more than Noirin. She's such a fascinating watch. In my personal opinion she held a contempt for Marcus but was in too deep friendship wise by the time she realised and was reluctant to distance herself in case she looked bad to the public. The new housemates have really rejuvinated the dynamics of the series and Bea looks to be a brilliant housemate in particular. This week reminded me a lot of BB6 in the sense that conflict seemed to arise from nowhere and it was a scream to watch. Kenneth's actions were disgusting this week and I'm glad his stint was over and done with quickly. Our Karly was a fool to stay with him!

It's a shame that the ratings were lower than normal for a C4 series and it got a bad rep and was blamed for the show's cancellation because BB10 was Big Brother at its best. It's a testament to the cast how many of them are in green and orange and how much I enjoyed watching them. My top 4 in particular have now joined some of my favourite housemates of all time. Noirin and Sophie had such brilliant arcs in particular and Bea was an amazing villain to watch. I still stand by my opinion from last year that Karly had more to give! David and Lisa are extremely underrated housemates on this forum as well. I've been through my old rankings from when I watched the first half last summer and reminded myself of how much I enjoyed watching the likes of Sophia, Angel and Sree too. A few placings of course may not match how I've ranked certain weeks but obviously I can only go off of how I have felt in the moment of creating my final series ranking and writing it all up and posting. BB10 is such an amazing series and in my opinion the best ever after 6, 7 and 5 respectively! :love:

I did find Mario a bit of a scream at times but he was absolutely intolerable this week :joker: I love Bex :love: A BB ledge! The new housemates haven’t made much of an impact but Belinda Belinda Belinda can be a howl. Interested to see the Heaven and Hell twist in action now.

Really not much for B-Block/Heaven besides Dale and Rex but it’s a really interesting dynamic and twist. Bex makes me howl so much :love: Belinda going was a decent result I thought which doesn’t really affect the status quo of the series. Lisa and Sara have really gone up my estimations too I enjoy them both a lot more.
