I finished my BB17 rewatch and found it a great watch.
Very entertaining and a good set of housemates.
A rubbish winner though :)

Which series shall I rewatch next?
Im debating on BB3 or BB13.

So I began my first watch of BB8. I’m currently on Day 7 and thought I’d do a little round up on what I’ve thought so far about the series and which housemates stand out the most to me.

The house

What a nightmare of a house this is. The fridge in the garden? The oven in the bedroom? A bath in the living area? Plus the house looks very small especially the garden compared to the previous year. This house I’d say is nearly on par with the BB5 house in terms of awkwardness and impracticality. I do however like the sofas plus, the bathroom looks incredible.

The housemates

These are just some of the housemates which have stood out the most for me in this first week.

Charley - A great housemate. I think high maintenance is an understatement. There is no doubt she is a bitch but that’s kinda what I like about her. She can stick up for herself, is very confrontational and isn’t afraid to speak her mind if she feels someone is being negative towards her (for example Emily and the name dropping conversation).

Shabnam - She’s an odd one isn’t she? I find her very weird and a bit of an idiot tbh but for some strange reason I like her. She’s just bizarre and comes out with some really odd things it’s just amusing to watch. She is a bit of a follower tho especially around Charley which is not a good idea.

Tracy - I find her quite edgy but I don’t dislike her. It may be because a lot of the girls in the house are young and very ‘girly’ girls and Tracey is almost the complete opposite. When conversations are going on, she’s there but seems like she’s not included in the convo at all. She reminds me a little of Lisa from BB10. Anyways one thing I’ve noticed with her is that Shabnam really gets under her skin.

Leslie - I felt really bad for her when she hid her head under the douvet and started crying. Then Emily walks over “are you ok?” “Yes I’m just sniffing my mattress” :joker:
She seems really out of place and isn’t enjoying the experience at all. It kinda reminds me of Ahmed in the first week of BB5. I don’t hate her but she seems like a bit of an outcast and I don’t find her compelling enough to watch compared to the others in there.

Ziggy - He seems like a nice guy although I did straight away think he was a bit of a ladies man. Him and Chanelle do actually seem quite suited. I do think however that he is a little bit wooden he actually reminds me of Tom Cruise a bit in both personality and appearance.

Summary of the first week

It’s been enjoyable, the first week normally is a bit boring to watch until people settle but there’s been some funny moments thus far. The podium task was hilarious, all arguing over who goes where was just funny to watch. Nicki and Charley’s argue about Charley’s food was funny as well. A lot of the housemates I do like, there is some I’m not too keen on (Laura, Tracey) but I’m gonna give them a chance as it is only the first week.

So with that onto week 2

(We can forget about how he’s even more of a **** nowadays) I knew he caused drama in the house so I was looking forward to him going in but I’ve just found him irritating and not likeable at all, is this the same for others?

I liked him, he was exactly what the house was needing after Ben's eviction. If he wasn't there, the highlights would've consisted of Josie and John James's showmance, so thank god he was there.

Just a shame that him and Ben weren't in the house at the same time.

Nice summary. Yeah the theme was a mess. It was called ''Everything in the wrong place.'' I think they were trying to outdo BB7's theme which was called ''Inside out''

BB8's first week is great and hilarious. My 7th favourite first week.

BB13 by far. Both are easily in the top 5 civilian series of all time, but 13 is more entertaining, engaging and more gripping. I think you may get bored with 3 at certain times. 13 has literally no boring episodes at all.

Also, i have said it before, but my cousin was next in line to enter BB11 (he was one of the people at BB11 launch who didn't get chosen). After the likes of Jo, JJ etc.. went in, they needed another person to go in for the final 3-4 weeks.

They reached my cousin while he was in Tenerife, so it was very last minute, he was only 2 days into a holiday, so refused... so Sam was chosen.

Mad to think had he not been on holiday, Sam Pepper would never have been a HM.

No he wasn't.

He was basically "next in line" on that night just in case one of those lot backed out. So in theory, Sam was actually ahead of him on the "list" as he was on that night when the likes of Laura, JJ and Jo went in, but when it came to putting 1 final Hm in after Ben's eviction, my cousin was contacted first. When he couldn't, Sam was immediately put in.

Initially he regretted it as it was the last series (known as back then), but then he was happy in retrospect because he said he couldn't have survived in there without getting ejected as he disliked everyone in the process leading up to it except for Ife (which he got on with). He said he would have gotten kicked out for punching John James.

Jonny was a creep to Kate when she was drunk :umm2: . Constantly trying to take care of her and look after her to get her approval, and it didn't cause him embarrassment or therefore be funny like Craig doing it to Anthony. He could tell she was more drunk than him but still initiated these drinking games and it really rubs me up the wrong way.

Nothing pissed me off more about that season than when everyone would label Tiffany the least famous in tons of tasks, yet Jeremy never got mentioned once in those listings despite the fact he literally lied about being Mr Ireland in order to get on the show :skull:

That live feed started off HILARIOUS. It was basically 8 minutes of Makosi dragging Kemal and making him uncomfortable + him trying to defend his weird nominations during the 'optional' period of week 7, nominating at 6am despite being ill because he had a 'dream' the nominations would be void and not count and... still felt like doing them anyway :joker: . It even includes him implying both him and Makosi will be remembered when people think back on the series and he'd rather be remembered than be in the final and be forgettable :hehe:

He also points out to Makosi that Anthony and Craig nominated in the diary room when it was optional as well and her only defense was 'I don't care about Anthony and Craig, they're not my friends! You are my friend... :bored: ' :joker:

Makosi: I was thinking to myself 'You know what? This boy, there's something going on with this boy.... he wants people out of here...' and I THINK... YOU... I THINK... Me, not you is supposed to be thinking 'I don't want to be hurt by this boy.' Cause in week 1, you told people to ignore me. In week 5, you told Big Brother you wanted to OUT me. This might be my favorite BB convo ever :worship: . And it was never even aired </3 . It's so hilarious to see Makosi be so dramatic through dozens of sentences in a row. I was already cackling when she emphasized her lie about having sex with Anthony but it just kept getting deeper. At the same time it's also really interesting to listen to. Makosi and Kemal arguably were the most ambiguous members of the BB6 cast where it was hard to figure out what their motivations were but here it seems so much clearer since they reveal so much about their personality you wouldn't have known about before, with little sparks of comedy in between to keep it entertaining and insightful :love:
