DS interviewing Gareth Phillips in September, in time for Hollyoaks Later:).

Hi all,

Really sorry for the delay on news of Gareth's interview but I genuinely haven't had an update to give until now. We'll definitely be doing an interview with Gareth, but I'm afraid there's a bit more of a wait in store and we'll be doing & printing it in September.

The main reason for this is that it's currently a really busy time at Hollyoaks HQ. At the moment, they have two shows on their hands with Hollyoaks Later in post-production as well as lots of big things planned for the main show, which you'll see unfold over the coming weeks.

One positive thing is that we'll probably get more out of the interview doing it in September, as Gareth will be able to talk about the big plans for autumn when he wouldn't be able to at the moment as it's too early to reveal details.

Sorry if the delay comes as a disappointment, but I hope fans will understand that the postponement and uncertainty was beyond our control.

Cheryl's breasts are massive:D. Silas getting more twisted, poor Lynsey getting a bit whiney but can understand since no-one believes her and they think she's gone mad.

Sinead is meant to be annoying in this storyline. Jason arriving has made it interesting, once he and Bart hopefully get back together as it's what most want hopefully Sinead will move on and they will make her likeable again.

Brendan not fooling me, he's so still into Ste but I liked it when Ste told Declan all about Brendan. Jacqui, Rhys and the pub quiz stuff was funny.

Hollyoaks star Richard Winsor has claimed that there will be "confusing" times ahead for his character Father Francis and Carmel McQueen (Gemma Merna).

The StreetDance 3D actor revealed that Francis and Carmel will push their forbidden romance "as far as possible", but predicted that the pair will ultimately stay true to their faith.

"With Carmel they're just going to take it as far as it can possibly go, with their religion being so strong," he told the Hollyoaks website. "I think that's the confusion, they really have to question themselves. It's quite a deep ride for them both."

Winsor went on to express satisfaction with his character's sense of "style" and revealed the inspiration for Father Francis's "mysterious" garments.

"I went off with the stylist on my first day and we spoke about where we think he should go, what kind of look would he work with, and All Saints had this kind of grey, dark [clothing] but with a mysterious edge to it," he explained.

"And the fact that it's called All Saints and I'm playing a priest worked in an ironic sense. The style of it just kind of worked for the character."

Winsor previously admitted that he was unsure of the romance between Father Francis and Carmel, while Merna claimed last month to be thrilled by the plot.

Hollyoaks star Kieron Richardson has shared his hope that the soap's gay domestic abuse storyline will have a "positive" effect.

Viewers have seen the 25-year-old's character Ste Hey embark upon a violent relationship with villainous bar owner Brendan Brady (Emmett Scanlan), which has since come to the fore of the Channel 4 soap.

Speaking to Pink News, Richardson declared his aim to dispel the myth that homosexual men "should be able to handle" aggressive partners.

"The thing is, some people think just because two guys love each other, [if there's domestic abuse] they should be able to handle it," he said. "That's not the message we're trying to give, we're trying to give a positive one out that, if you are going through it, no matter what, you should go to the police and get something done about it.

"Whether you're gay, straight, whatever, and you are going through it, it's just about finding the courage to go and tell someone about it. I know it's hard and I can't really give advice or say, 'Go and do this', so I just hope the storyline is making an impact."

Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas has announced that he will be leaving the soap at the end of his current contract.

The actor films his final scenes for the Channel 4 show in October after a year back on screen in the role of Warren Fox.

Speaking of the news, Lomas told New magazine that he is bowing out of his own accord because he wants to pursue other projects.

"Last time I left, the recession hit and there wasn't much being made," the 31-year-old explained. "It's starting to pick up and I wanted to give it another crack of the whip. I want something completely different to Warren to show people I'm versatile."

Asked whether Hollyoaks bosses will leave the door open for his villainous character, he replied: "I would like to think they would. I'll have to wait and see."

However, Lomas ruled out a permanent move to the US to find acting work, insisting that his children and fiancée Kym Marsh come first.

"I've got my kids here. Moving out there permanently is out of the question," he said. "Yeah, I'd love to go out and do a pilot season because it's always been a dream of mine. Kym has been nothing but 100% behind me. That's the way a partnership is.

"In terms of people saying she's going to lose me to Hollywood, that's nonsense. We've just bought a house, we've got a baby."


Lomas's original stint on Hollyoaks ran from 2006 until 2009, when Warren appeared to be killed off in a fire at his nightclub The Loft.

However, show producers lured Lomas back late last year, devising a shock storyline which saw Warren return to the village to wreak havoc.

Warren's recent plotlines have seen him embark on a relationship with glamour girl Mitzeee and clash with business partner Brendan Brady.

Hollyoaks star Andrew Moss has revealed that there is fresh turmoil ahead for Rhys and Jacqui when Gilly Roach returns to the village later this year.

Gilly (Anthony Quinlan) has been absent from screens since April, when he decided to spend some time away from home to clear his head after being found not guilty of raping Jacqui.

Since then, Jacqui has tried to recover from her ordeal and embarked on a long journey to get her relationship with Rhys back on track. However, their progress could be thrown into jeopardy when Gilly makes his comeback.

Speaking of Gilly's return, Moss told Inside Soap: "Rhys and Jacqui's lives are going to be turned upside down again. Jacqui handles the whole thing really well. She's calm, because she doesn't want to show Rhys how she really feels about it.

"But Rhys flies off the handle - he wants to smash Gilly's head in."

Back in May, Claire Cooper - who plays Jacqui - told Digital Spy that show bosses were planning a resolution to her story with Gilly.

She said at the time: "It's an ongoing story and it is going to be concluded… Some people believe Jacqui and some people don't, but the story progresses and the conclusion to the story will happen later in the year."

Jamie Lomas has admitted that he is unsure whether Hollyoaks chiefs will kill off his character Warren Fox.

The 31-year-old recently announced that he will leave the show for a second time at the end of his current contract, and has now delivered a message to fans of the Channel 4 soap.

"I suppose most of you have heard the news that I'm going for a second time," he said in a video posted on the Hollyoaks website. "I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for all their kind messages, all the support.

"I've had such a fantastic time playing Warren. I'm not sure if they're going to leave the door open for me to come back - possibly, who knows?

"I've just had a fantastic time playing him. I hope you've all enjoyed watching him and I hope you're all going to continue to support the show after he's gone."

Lomas denied yesterday that he had decided to quit Hollyoaks in order to move to Hollywood, instead naming fiancée Kym Marsh and their 4-month old daughter Polly as his top priority.

Lomas joined Hollyoaks in 2006 and seemingly left the programme for good when Warren was caught in a fire at The Loft nightclub in 2009.

However, he was persuaded to return to Hollyoaks late last year and his character was revealed to have made it out of the blaze alive.

Hollyoaks star Karen Hassan has revealed how show favourite Brendan Brady first becomes involved in the ongoing serial killer storyline.

Last week, Emmett Scanlan - who plays Brendan - spoke of how his bad boy character could go "toe-to-toe" with sinister Silas Blissett in forthcoming episodes.

At the weekend, meanwhile, Digital Spy confirmed that Brendan starts to see Silas in a new light just as Hassan's character Lynsey Nolan leaves the village for some time out following the grandfather's attempts to terrorise her.

Speaking of the twist, Hassan told All About Soap: "Brendan is very territorial. When Lynsey is leaving, he sees Silas loitering in an alleyway watching her and he starts to think there's something odd about him."

However, the actress added that Brendan will not see the full extent of Silas's (Jeff Rawle) dark side for the time being.

"Although Brendan does think Silas is weird, he's not convinced he's a murderer," Hassan explained. "So it's up to Lynsey to fight her own battles until… Well, who knows what's going to happen? But I've just got the scripts and they're very exciting! It gets even worse before it gets better."

Lynsey has recently been embroiled in a metaphorical game of chess with Silas as she is the only person in the village who suspects he is the killer.

I think so, their dad is Northern Irish and their mom is from the Republic of Ireland. The character of Brendan is Irish because Emmett Scanlan is of course Irish and it saves him having to put on an accent.

Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard has claimed that a "mid-life crisis" is to blame for the unexpected antics of his character Tony Hutchinson in forthcoming episodes.

Next week, viewers will see Tony come home to the village following his time away travelling, but he returns a changed man as he is now living a new-age lifestyle.

Although Tony is pleased to have reinvented himself, his ex-wife Mandy isn't impressed by his new casual dress sense and laid-back attitude - threatening the chances of a reunion for the pair.

Pickard told TV Times of the storyline: "Tony's having a midlife crisis. He doesn't realise that, past 30, you look a bit stupid dressing the way he does."

However, the actor added that he believes Tony and Mandy can get back on track in the coming weeks.

"Underneath it all, Tony is still the same person and he loves Mandy," he said. "If they hadn't lost a child, they might have stayed together the first time round. They were really happy before that happened."

Sarah Jayne Dunn, who plays Mandy, made a surprise return to the soap late last year.

Thinking about it now I think Theresa will die at the hands of Silas, she'll probably think it's karma for killing Calvin and letting someone else take the blame.

Jorgie Porter is apparently still filming and I heard rumours she lives in London now so confused, but whatever happens the character is exhausted from the Calvin storyline and then the annoying Ethan/Liberty saga. Theresa's death would mean a return for Michaela.

Hollie JB keeps tweeting about going to work, so maybe she's hinting about HO without actually mentioning it in her tweets. Although she is in a band too LOL..

- Riley and the guys head to an outdoor retreat for the stag do. Seth goes to a prostitute to lose his virginity which has huge consequences. Mitzeee gatecrashes the boys' do.
- Silas torments his next victim.
- Ricky and Duncan head to fit camp.

I think I'd only just started watching HO again then and didn't really know any of the Costellos or anything. But yeah wasn't as gritty as the other ones, especially Niall's one, that was great

I think Brendan will end up protecting her. Lynsey would be a shock death as she is popular with viewers now but I think HO want to keep her.

The cast is too big and the filming schedules are that tight that they have to compromise with how the cast are used.

Hollyoaks Later might start near to the end of September though, also, they would have advertised it if it was going to start next week, like last year, they started advertising a week before. Though if you're relying on Wikipedia as your source then don't it might not be true.

Hollyoaks star Rachel Shenton has revealed that her character Mitzeee Minniver is to feature in a dramatic stunt scene in the coming weeks.

The actress confirmed that her outrageous alter ego will find herself in danger in the shock moment, which is expected to air in the new series of Hollyoaks Later next month.

Hollyoaks bosses have confirmed that the soap is "close" to agreeing a series of product placement deals which will see companies paying to have their brands featured on the show.

Under relaxed regulations introduced by the government and brought into force by Ofcom, British broadcasters can now generate extra revenue by showing commercial brands and products on screen in their programmes.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Channel 4 had identified £12m worth of product placement opportunities for Hollyoaks, covering six areas including health and beauty, fashion and coffee/retail.

Sean Marley, managing director of Hollyoaks' production company Lime Pictures, has now told the Liverpool Daily Post: "We've been actively preparing for this world for a long, long time. Channel 4 has identified Hollyoaks as a perfect vehicle for this.

"Because of its all-year-round market, it lends itself very well to long partnerships. And because it's made quite close to transmission, it can be on-trend with whatever product you like. We are talking to a number of parties and we are quite close to doing deals that the audience will see as a very natural fit to Hollyoaks."

Marley added that he believes product placement will be a positive move for Hollyoaks as featuring brands will help make the show more realistic.

"The producers of Hollyoaks and the wardrobe team want to reflect the real world, but we cannot reflect real products properly," he explained. "This allows us to reflect that.

"Our job now is to make sure that it fits creatively with our show and that it doesn't become a story in itself. That's when product placement goes too far."

ITV ran British television's first product placement deal in February by featuring a Nestle coffee machine on This Morning.

Hollyoaks star Rachel Shenton has revealed that her character Mitzeee Minniver is to feature in a dramatic stunt scene in the coming weeks.

Hollyoaks villain Silas Blissett will kill his own daughter Heidi in a shock storyline twist, a report has claimed today.

The sinister grandfather, played by Jeff Rawle, targets Heidi after she starts to become suspicious of him in forthcoming episodes, according to the Daily Star.

Heidi's grisly end reportedly comes as actress Kim Tiddy bows out from the show after just over a year on screen.

Hollyoaks villain Silas Blissett will kill his own daughter Heidi in a shock storyline twist, a report has claimed today.

The sinister grandfather, played by Jeff Rawle, targets Heidi after she starts to become suspicious of him in forthcoming episodes, according to the Daily Star.

Heidi's grisly end reportedly comes as actress Kim Tiddy bows out from the show after just over a year on screen.

The shock death is currently unconfirmed by Hollyoaks bosses but could tie in with Jeff Rawle's promise that the storyline will reach "an awful climax".

Show chiefs have previously revealed that Silas is to strike again in the new series of late-night spinoff Hollyoaks Later - leaving fans to speculate that Heidi could be bumped off as early as next week.

Silas has already killed innocent student India Longford and con artist Rebecca Massey since his first appearance in the village last Christmas, as well as terrorising nurse Lynsey Nolan.

As to who might be killed, she was getting pretty stale anyway, not too much you can do with her now.

Hollyoaks Later stars Rachel Shenton and Rob Norbury have revealed details about the week-long series' upcoming action scenes.

The late-night edition of the soap will see Shenton's character Mitzeee Minniver join footballer Riley Costello (Norbury)'s stag-do in Wales.

Shenton recently revealed that Mitzeee will almost drown in one particular scene, and both stars have now told OK magazine that the incident occurs when the group embark on a white-water rafting trip.

"There's a white-water rafting accident in the final episode," Norbury said. "We all end up on the boat and there's an argument, and we end up going through the rapids, and the boat turns over."

Shenton said: "Mitzeee ends up getting onto the raft, totally unprepared, and when the raft hits choppy waters, I end up going overboard and losing my life jacket and helmet. I pride myself on not being a scaredy cat but water's not my thing and I was a little bit scared! I don't think I was acting - I was petrified in some shots!"

Norbury added that many of the cast including himself suffered small injuries while filming the action sequences.

"We were in Wales for four days and some of the action stuff was brilliant. It was quite tough filming - everyone ended up with a few cuts and bruises. I've actually got a scar on my forehead, but that was from Jamie Lomas, who plays Warren!"

I still think Lynsey won't die, he's already tried to kill her and not worked and he could try again but surely everyone would get suspicious, apart from Brendan who knows;).
