Hollyoaks star Karen Hassan has confirmed that vengeful Silas Blissett will soon have Cheryl Brady in his sinister sights as his dark storyline continues.

Earlier this month, Lynsey discovered Silas's true colours when he broke into her flat and attacked her. She later spread the word about his behaviour around the village, but few people believed her story.

In a new interview with All About Soap, Hassan revealed that Silas (Jeff Rawle) soon seizes an opportunity to get even with Lynsey when he spots her handing over diet pills to Cheryl Brady (Bronagh Waugh).

She explained: "Lynsey buys the pills for Cheryl off the internet, which is completely innocent. But Silas spots Lynsey giving the pills to Cheryl and sees an opportunity to get his own back. His evil instincts kick in once again and he slyly swaps Cheryl's diet pills for his own medication.

"Poor Cheryl takes the wrong pills and ends up collapsing in Chez Chez. Lynsey and Rhys find her slumped unconscious in the club. It's a terrifying moment for Lynsey, who's overcome with guilt for putting her best friend in hospital."

Discussing the aftermath of the incident, the actress continued: "The doctors tell her that a high level of sedative has been found in Cheryl's blood, but Lynsey is completely flummoxed by how it could have got there. It doesn't cross her mind at this stage that Silas would have wanted to hurt Cheryl. However, I think the penny will eventually drop for her."

Hassan added that Silas is trying to "blacken" Lynsey's name with the scheme, which will play out on screen in the middle of next month.

E4 today Cheryl at last knows the truth about Brendan being gay:shocked:, thanks to Ste of course and he told her the rest..

Rhys proposed to Jacqui and she said yes at first but she's still upset over trial verdict so she changed her mind left to go to her dads place in Spain for a while:conf:, the dad who she didn't want nothing to do with. Jacqui had some good scenes with Lynsey too:).

Gilly has left the village for a while too after being shunned by Lynsey and Rhys.

It was explained how Pete got into a wheelchair. Pete and Brendan had gone camping 10 years ago, Brendan had tried to get it on with Pete and when he was rejected by Pete, drunk drove in a car and crashed into a lorry trying to kill himself but Pete had grabbed the wheel so the car crashed anyway and paralysed him.

I quite like Leanne, she can be good comedy. I think Amy's worse, the way she delivers some of her lines makes me want to slap her. (I know Amy's quite popular on here, don't shoot me).

But, I agree, Hollyoaks, either can't hold onto any good or halfway decent actors or it snubs them in favour of "totty".

Is it wrong I want Silas to kill off every character except the ones that were there pre-2010? Really can't take to this revamp, it's not worked for me in the slightest.

Warren is nothing compared to 2006-2008 with Clare, Louise, Justin etc. Oh I miss the old days, wish I could find the episodes online.

I hated Paul Marquess. He introduced some good new characters and axed deadwood yet at the same time the show became a huge confusing mess that made no sense.

Brian Kirkwood should come back and resurrect Louise, lol. For some reason he works on Hollyoaks but is atrocious on Eastenders.

This is Paul Marquess' work on screen. They are all his characters. Gareths first episode wasa few weeks ago but it's all still Paul's work.

I was working on a Hollyoaks revamp thing, not much detail but whaddayas think?

Dodger has, at this point, been employed by the Student Union and is now the local bouncer. Previous to these events it has been revealed that he has slept with Sinead, who has yet to turn sixteen.

The Union Blaze.
September
As her sixteenth birthday approaches, Ruby is intent on making it a night to remember.Armed with cigarettes, alcohol and party favours that she has stolen from the the nightclub, she, Esther, Sinead, Jason, Seth, Ricky, Duncan and Bart decide to blackmail Dodger into letting them into the back section of the Union (seperated from the rest of the establishment with a curtain), where they can have Ruby's party, the same night as the highly anticipated freshers ball. With Theresa and Liberty enrolling on the drama course at HCC and Gaz attempting to turn his life around with a mechanical course at the college, the union is full of regulars, with Liberty's fiance Ethan making an appearance aswell as Rae and Dodger. Second year students Lee, Texas, Leanne, Amy and Doug are also joining in on the party as they welcome the other first years in to the fold. Things soon get out of hand however, and as Ruby and co get dangerously drunk, spilling alcohol over the floors, the night turns to a game of dares, where one member of the party confesses their fear of fire. Taking the mick, Ruby takes out her lighter, drunkenly lighting it before the inevitable happens, and the union is in flames.

And it's not just the underages doing things they shouldn't be, at this very moment in time, Ethan and Theresa find themselves caught in a risque situation in the back of the Union, as they finally give into their feelings for each other, before being interrupted by Dodger. Insistant that she will leave him, Dodger makes his way to inform Liberty of his sightings, but with flames ripping through the place, and with the fire becoming dangerous, not everyone makes it out alive. Gaz perishes immediately in the embers, as Rae watches on, helpless. Jason too fails to make it out of the SU alive as he finds himself trapped beneath part of the ceiling fallen down. The third victim of the Union Blaze is Texas, who is unable to free herself from the girls toilets and suffers from severe smoke inhalation. The most tragic however, is that Ethan dies, saving the person he really loves. As Liberty and Theresa make it out alive and well, only one person remains unseen, and that's Dodger...

The Union Blaze: The Aftermath
September [2 weeks]

Days after the incredible fire and the villagers are mourning the loss of the four deaths in the village, as well as the missing Dodger, who's disappearance is causing grave concern for The Savages and The McQueens. Over at the Costello's, Carl and Heidi are on the warpath, after the death of their son Jason, and are after Dodger's blood, when Seth tells them that it was he who let them into the Union at the first place. The death of Jason however pushes Carl and Heidi closer after the exposure of both of their affairs drove them apart, and with Gaz out of the picture finally, it looks as though the couple is about to reunite for good.

Ethan's death causes turmoil over at the McQueen/Savage household too, with Theresa struggling to contain her feelings for the deceased, and things only get worse when Dodger returns days later, and she immediately knows that something is up with his coldheartedness towards her.

In a special 'on location' episode, Hollyoaks goes to Middlesborough for the funeral of Ethan, when Theresa, Jacqui, Mercedes, Liberty, Dodger and Will all go to say their goodbyes. In a touching conversation between Liberty and Theresa, by the church, Theresa, out of grief, and guilt that she betrayed her friend, confesses to Liberty that she killed Calvin, explaining the situation to which Liberty reluctantly agrees to keep quiet. Alongside them, Ethan's father Richard, mother Florence and sister Emma are also present, and when Dodger makes a strange request to stand at the funeral to speak about his brother in law to be, the family think nothing of it.Out of grief, Liberty too thinks that Dodger is speaking on behalf of her but Theresa suspects that something isn't quite right, ending in a heated confrontation between the two, in front of the entire funeral party, revealing Theresa and Ethan's affair.

The drama continues when the party return to Hollyoaks, and after another argument between Liberty and Theresa, The Savages pack up and leave Chester, but not before a quick stop at the local police station, to which Liberty shops Theresa in for the murder of Calvin Valentine. Theresa is arrested and sentenced to 25 years in jail.

The Student Life
[I]October - November

The introduction of the new students cause quite a stir in the village, starting with the first familiar face in the form of Anita Roy. Moving to the student halls as she prepares to start a law degree, Anita soon catches wind of the news regarding Theresa McQueen. Unable to believe that it was Theresa who killed Calvin, Anita goes to visit her in prison, only to find that Theresa has changed her mind at the last minute, and doesn't want to see her. She is, however, given a note from Theresa which tells her to move on with the next chapter in her life, and that she is sorry for everything that she has caused. It is at this moment that Anita erases Theresa from her life and looks forward to starting life at HCC.

After hearing that Anita Roy has decided to return to Hollyoaks, Rae makes a last ditch attempt at getting into HCC, and is saddened when the mechanics course is full. It is at this time that she meets a new friend, called Jade, a high school graduate who is moving into halls with Anita and who is on the course that Rae is desperate to get on, in order to change her life. In a desperate bid to get into the course before the cutoff date, Rae enlists the help of trouble making, mischevious Sam, another new student who has quickly made frenemies with Jade, and persuades him into stealing money from the college cash office, and framing Jade for the theft. An 'anonomous' phone call to the college puts Jade quickly into suspicion, and after she finds a girly holdall, unknowingly containing the money, she puts it into Anita's room, assuming it is hers. The apartment is searched, leading to Anita's suspension from the college, and as she prepares to go back to Brighton to live with her mum and dad, just months after returning, Rae has to decide whether to come clean or not. In the end her conscience gets the better of her, and she tells the college the truth, before leaving the village for London.

Jade soon receives a phone call from HCC, informing her that her student fees have yet to be paid into the college account, and that if they aren't paid in the next week, she will be subjected to leave the college. Furious that her mother has seemingly forgot to pay, she angrily contacts her mother, who suprises her by telling her that she has just this instant paid, and that she would be visiting her soon, with big news. As the day of the visit approaches, her mother, Hazel, arrives in the village revealing she has met the man of her dreams, and that they are getting married. Jade, disgusted that her mother has moved on so quickly from her divorce to her father, vowed to hav e no part in the wedding, until yet another bombshell is dropped. Hazel reveals to Jade that she and her new husband will be moving to Hollyoaks village, and are hoping to become a proper family.

Reluctantly agreeing to give the relationship a go, Jade arrives to meet her new step father, where it is revealed to be none other than Mike Barnes.. Hazel and Mike revealed that they met whilst on holiday in Italy, and having already been in contact with Mike's daughter Amy, they invite Jade to move in with them in their new house, to which she rejects.

Silas' Killing Spree
[I]November - January/i]

Still grieving the loss of what he still thinks of as his granddaughter, Silas is at an extremely low point in his life, and makes a promise to himself to change his ways, for Jason. After a night in The Dog alone, he overhears Frankie seeking Darren's advice at the table behind his, and she reveals that Ruby has admitted that she and Esther were partly to blame for the fire in the Student Union. As he hears on how Frankie blames herself, with a daughter already dead, a gay son and another son with psychological problems, he comes to the conclusion that he needs to 'help' Frankie through her problems.

The pair strike up a rather sweet friendship, and over the next few weeks see Silas and Frankie becoming increasingly dependant on each other. In Silas' case it is a distraction from his granddaughters death, and for the next few months we see another, friendlier side to Silas.

As time goes on, and Jack and Frankie grow further apart, Frankie reveals to Silas that she feels they are on the verge of breaking up. Not wanting to see Frankie upset, Silas advises her to give things a go with Jack, reminding her that love like that only comes around once, as he realised with his wife. As she again confides in him, he suggests that she tries internet dating if she is really feeling so low, to which she decides to give it a go, and low and behold she meets someone.

'Raymond' and Frankie grow closer and closer, and as christmas approaches, she decides that she no longer loves Jack. Sharing her thoughts with Silas, he persuades her to end things with Jack, reminding her that she can't live her life for someone else. Reminiscing as to what Steph would think, and with the announcement that Jack will be spending christmas in Scotland with his daughters, Frankie decides that Steph would want her to live her life the way she wants to.

In a christmas episode, as Jack leaves for Scotland, Frankie plucks up the courage to leave, telling Raymond that she will leave Jack tonight and that she will book herself into a hotel until she gets herself together. To his delight, he invites her to meet him for a drink on christmas eve, so they don't have to spend the holidays alone. Excited, but nervous Frankie agrees, and as she makes her way to the pub, chosen by Raymond, she soon realises that it doesn't exist, as she finds herself in the middle of nowhere, in an area surrounded by woodland.

When Silas' car pulls up, Frankie finds herself in a state of relief. This is of course short lived however, when she receives a text at the same time saying ;'suprise x', before repeating the method which proved so effective when India met her end.

With Theresa and Liberty enrolling on the drama course at HCC and Gaz attempting to turn his life around with a mechanical course at the college, the union is full of regulars, with Liberty's fiance Ethan making an appearance aswell as Rae and Dodger. Second year students Lee, Texas, Leanne, Amy and Doug are also joining in on the party as they welcome the other first years in to the fold. Things soon get out of hand however, and as Ruby and co get dangerously drunk, spilling alcohol over the floors, the night turns to a game of dares, where one member of the party confesses their fear of fire. Taking the mick, Ruby takes out her lighter, drunkenly lighting it before the inevitable happens, and the union is in flames.

And it's not just the underages doing things they shouldn't be, at this very moment in time, Ethan and Theresa find themselves caught in a risque situation in the back of the Union, as they finally give into their feelings for each other, before being interrupted by Dodger. Insistant that she will leave him, Dodger makes his way to inform Liberty of his sightings, but with flames ripping through the place, and with the fire becoming dangerous, not everyone makes it out alive. Gaz perishes immediately in the embers, as Rae watches on, helpless. Jason too fails to make it out of the SU alive as he finds himself trapped beneath part of the ceiling fallen down. The third victim of the Union Blaze is Texas, who is unable to free herself from the girls toilets and suffers from severe smoke inhalation. The most tragic however, is that Ethan dies, saving the person he really loves. As Liberty and Theresa make it out alive and well, only one person remains unseen, and that's Dodger...

The Union Blaze: The Aftermath
September [2 weeks]

Days after the incredible fire and the villagers are mourning the loss of the four deaths in the village, as well as the missing Dodger, who's disappearance is causing grave concern for The Savages and The McQueens. Over at the Costello's, Carl and Heidi are on the warpath, after the death of their son Jason, and are after Dodger's blood, when Seth tells them that it was he who let them into the Union at the first place. The death of Jason however pushes Carl and Heidi closer after the exposure of both of their affairs drove them apart, and with Gaz out of the picture finally, it looks as though the couple is about to reunite for good.

Ethan's death causes turmoil over at the McQueen/Savage household too, with Theresa struggling to contain her feelings for the deceased, and things only get worse when Dodger returns days later, and she immediately knows that something is up with his coldheartedness towards her.

In a special 'on location' episode, Hollyoaks goes to Middlesborough for the funeral of Ethan, when Theresa, Jacqui, Mercedes, Liberty, Dodger and Will all go to say their goodbyes. In a touching conversation between Liberty and Theresa, by the church, Theresa, out of grief, and guilt that she betrayed her friend, confesses to Liberty that she killed Calvin, explaining the situation to which Liberty reluctantly agrees to keep quiet. Alongside them, Ethan's father Richard, mother Florence and sister Emma are also present, and when Dodger makes a strange request to stand at the funeral to speak about his brother in law to be, the family think nothing of it.Out of grief, Liberty too thinks that Dodger is speaking on behalf of her but Theresa suspects that something isn't quite right, ending in a heated confrontation between the two, in front of the entire funeral party, revealing Theresa and Ethan's affair.

The drama continues when the party return to Hollyoaks, and after another argument between Liberty and Theresa, The Savages pack up and leave Chester, but not before a quick stop at the local police station, to which Liberty shops Theresa in for the murder of Calvin Valentine. The introduction of the new students cause quite a stir in the village, starting with the first familiar face in the form of Anita Roy. Unable to believe that it was Theresa who killed Calvin, Anita goes to visit her in prison, only to find that Theresa has changed her mind at the last minute, and doesn't want to see her. She is, however, given a note from Theresa which tells her to move on with the next chapter in her life, and that she is sorry for everything that she has caused. It is at this moment that Anita erases Theresa from her life and looks forward to starting life at HCC.

After hearing that Anita Roy has decided to return to Hollyoaks, Rae makes a last ditch attempt at getting into HCC, and is saddened when the mechanics course is full. It is at this time that she meets a new friend, called Jade, a high school graduate who is moving into halls with Anita and who is on the course that Rae is desperate to get on, in order to change her life. In a desperate bid to get into the course before the cutoff date, Rae enlists the help of trouble making, mischevious Sam, another new student who has quickly made frenemies with Jade, and persuades him into stealing money from the college cash office, and framing Jade for the theft. An 'anonomous' phone call to the college puts Jade quickly into suspicion, and after she finds a girly holdall, unknowingly containing the money, she puts it into Anita's room, assuming it is hers. The apartment is searched, leading to Anita's suspension from the college, and as she prepares to go back to Brighton to live with her mum and dad, just months after returning, Rae has to decide whether to come clean or not. In the end her conscience gets the better of her, and she tells the college the truth, before leaving the village for London.

Jade soon receives a phone call from HCC, informing her that her student fees have yet to be paid into the college account, and that if they aren't paid in the next week, she will be subjected to leave the college. Furious that her mother has seemingly forgot to pay, she angrily contacts her mother, who suprises her by telling her that she has just this instant paid, and that she would be visiting her soon, with big news. As the day of the visit approaches, her mother, Hazel, arrives in the village revealing she has met the man of her dreams, and that they are getting married. Jade, disgusted that her mother has moved on so quickly from her divorce to her father, vowed to hav e no part in the wedding, until yet another bombshell is dropped. Hazel reveals to Jade that she and her new husband will be moving to Hollyoaks village, and are hoping to become a proper family.

Reluctantly agreeing to give the relationship a go, Jade arrives to meet her new step father, where it is revealed to be none other than Mike Barnes.. Hazel and Mike revealed that they met whilst on holiday in Italy, and having already been in contact with Mike's daughter Amy, they invite Jade to move in with them in their new house, to which she rejects.

News of three departures..

Hollyoaks will bid farewell to a trio of male characters in the coming months as three actors have decided to leave the soap, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal.

Show bosses have confirmed that Alex Carter is to bow out from the teen drama after nearly a year back on screen as Lee Hunter, while Dean Aspen and Ashley Margolis have also chosen to depart their roles as double act Duncan Button and Ricky Campbell.

After spending a decade in soapland while starring in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, 28-year-old Carter is now hoping to pursue other opportunities.

Speaking of his decision, the actor told DS: "After ten years in soap, it feels like the right time to find out what else is out there."

He laughed: "I'm so grateful to Hollyoaks for giving me my first break and I'll be gutted to leave behind some really good friends that I've made in the cast and crew, but I'm sure I'll keep in touch with the ones I like!"


Aspen and Margolis, meanwhile, have also decided to broaden their horizons after two years in Hollyoaks.

"I have had an absolutely brilliant time playing Duncan - I feel like Hollyoaks have paid me to laugh," Aspen said. "But, after two years, I really feel the time is right for a new challenge. I will be very sad to leave but hopefully the door will be left open and you just don't know what could happen in the future. I'd love to think Duncan could return."

Margolis added: "I'm not sure if I'm crazy or brave but yes, I think it's time for me as an actor to move on. I could very happily stay forever in my comfort zone - Hollyoaks is a great place to work. But with Dean moving on it just feels like the right time. Ricky has been a great character and I've learnt a lot in two and a half years. Landing a role on Hollyoaks at 15 was a dream in itself but I've always wanted to have a broad acting career so it's now or never."

Details of storylines for the trio's respective departures have yet to be revealed.

I don't think the O'Connors will be leaving.. Diane has lots of potential and Alex Fletcher is a very good actress but they've not used the character enough and wasted the actress' talent but she'll be back on screen soon and have more scenes in the village:).

Rae is a possibility to go but the actress has said on Twitter she isn't leaving, it could be true or just her keeping schtum;).

Hollyoaks star Victoria Atkin has teased the latest romance twists in store for her character Jason Costello, who will soon face a fresh rejection from Bart McQueen.

Bart (Jonny Clarke) previously had a relationship with Jason when he first arrived in the village as Jasmine, but their union came to an end when the troubled teenager started to live life as a boy.

Atkin told All About Soap that the pair's relationship will soon be revisited when Bart discovers that Jason is out on a date and starts spying on him.

When Jason hears that Bart has been keeping tabs on him, he confronts the rebellious McQueen at the shack in the woods, with surprising consequences.

Atkin said: "Bart denies [spying], of course, but Jason isn't having any of it and they start having an argument. That leads into a bit of a fight, but there's so much chemistry between them that they almost end up snogging."

"Bart pulls away at the last minute," she continued. "There's so much going on in Bart's head at that moment - he must be so confused. He loves Jasmine, but she isn't really there anymore and he's also worried about what other people would say if he started dating Jason, just like any other 16-year-old boy would be."

The actress added that the experience is a fresh setback for Jason, who has never been able to let go of his feelings for Bart.

"He's completely gutted, especially when he knows that there's something between them," Atkin said. "To make matters worse, he also later finds out that after their near-kiss, Bart went straight to Sinead's house and slept with her. Emmett J Scanlan is the star of the show at the moment, he's doing other stuff outside of HO and is a good actor, plus he enjoys it there and met his co star girlfriend on set. A character like Brendan will get a commeupance at some point.. plan for him is a whole character arc to keep him around as long as they can;).
