The show is just turning into a machine for agents and publicists to throw out quick promotion for their act (India, Liberty and this ridiculous band I can think of so far).

Wish they would actually concentrate on stories and hire actors to bloody act.

At least Summer Strallen they got right, she could actually act with her stage training and ALW behind her. I liked Summer and OB too!

Pete leaving, i'm not surprised another wasted character. Some actors are leaving on their own accord or either leaving because weaker characters/actors are being given more to do than the stronger characters.

He really is annoying and now when I watched the actress I can't help but feel she is forcing her acting, it doesn't come as natural as it did when she was Jasmine turning into Jason. I'm not sure if it's the story that's boring me or how forced it all feels now.

We definitely need a break from this character and who knows if she runs off to be with Gem she could return in a few years with a lad playing the part. That would feel freaky...

Hollyoaks got 1.15 million viewers yesterday:).

I think Hollyoaks messed up in not having a transgender actor to play Jason.

It must have been hard for Victoria Atkin to play, although she had only recently qualified to act when she got the job so fair play for her wanting to see what is out there in terms of work.

Maybe I came across a bit harsh with her acting, it could well be what the directors want from her. I think Atkin has played the character well and I reckon it may have been hard at some points for her.

I know it's the story but one of the things I found hard to digest was how the whole family suddenly accepted her as a boy and they all talk to her or about her as a boy. Maybe the acceptance period happened too quickly.

I don't think I could refer to anyone as the opposite sex as quickly as these guys did. Not if I've known them all their life.

Hmm, yes it could be, depends how it's done, I think they are hinting that Doug is the one who reveals everything at Riley and Mercy's wedding and then Silas kidnaps Mercy as he thinks she is a "hussy" and locks her in a vault, etc. The whole Silas storyline should be concluding around the same time as the Doug episode so he could be having regrets over telling and blaming himself.

Hollyoaks star Jennifer Metcalfe has promised that viewers will be impressed by the drama surrounding her character's wedding day.

Mercedes prepares to tie the knot with Riley Costello (Rob Norbury) next week, but the wannabe WAG could have trouble ahead as she continues to harbour the secret that she cheated on the young footballer with his dad Carl (Paul Opacic).

Warren, Mitzeee, Seth, Jacqui and Doug are among the show regulars who know the truth, and all have their own reasons for wanting to reveal all. However, Hollyoaks bosses are currently keeping tight-lipped over exactly what happens at the ceremony.

Metcalfe told All About Soap of the storyline: "There are six or seven people who know the whole truth and any one of them could spill the beans at any time. She's really walking on eggshells - she loves Riley and wants to marry him."

She continued: "When the wedding day finally arrives, it definitely doesn't run smoothly at all. There are going to be huge repercussions from the day - in fact, my next few months of storylines all stem from the wedding.

"I can't say too much, but it's about to get even more exciting. The writers have definitely come up with the goods."

Hollyoaks airs its WAG wedding on Monday, October 17 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Hollyoaks star Jeff Rawle has revealed that he will be thrilled if his dark storyline helps to encourage young people to stay safe on the internet.

The actor has spent almost a year in the role of evil Silas Blissett, who has murdered India Longford, Rebecca Massey and Rae Wilson since making his debut on screen last December.

Silas's sinister antics have often stemmed from online chatrooms, where he has lured girls to meet him by using a variety of aliases.

Rawle told Live With Gabby today: "There is a serious backstory to it, and that's why I went into the show in a sense - when they explained how they were going to do it. It was about internet dating and the dangers, especially among young students.

"Children are quite heavily protected, and when they're out of that environment, suddenly they can become prey to people who are extremely skilful at putting out aliases and photos.

"Of course we all want to trust - that's a natural basic instinct in people, but it can lead people down the wrong alley and there have been some awful cases of 18, 19-year-olds being led astray by these monsters."

Rawle added that viewers will be seeing a lot more of Silas over the next few weeks. As reported yesterday, he is about to set a sick challenge for his arch-nemesis Lynsey Nolan (Karen Hassan), ordering her to correctly guess his next target if she wants to stop him from killing again.

"That's what we're dealing with over the next few weeks," he explained. "I'm in every show every night, I think. We've done an awful lot of filming, that's for sure - a lot of 15-hour days. Silas's story is really powering through now. He's really on a mission and he's taken on Lynsey."

I think this is the best acting i've seen from Rob Norbury who plays Riley, his character is finally coming good.

I've always rated Jennifer Metcalfe as one of the shows best actresses and I like how they have kept Mercedes' cheating ways consistent, but after all the promises of her changing etc it's getting to repetitive and they have had opportunities before to give more depth to the character which is there...

E4's first look showing of Hollyoaks pulled in nearly 750k on Monday night with the aftermath of Mercedes and Riley's nuptials.

The Channel 4 soap was seen by 748k (3.4%) on E4 from 7pm, around 300k more than usual for 'first look' episodes on the channel. A further 107k (0.4%) tuned in on +1.

Earlier, Mercedes' confession at the altar that she'd slept with Riley's dad Carl was seen by 1.33m (6.4%) on Channel 4 from 6.30pm, and 101k (0.4%) an hour later.

I really can't see that happening. If that was the case it would ruin the whole story for me. Lynsey has had it so hard ever since she heard his voice in the Costello home and realised he was the killer. No one has believed her (OK Brendon) and the one thing I am really looking forward to is seeing the likes of Cheryl bowing at Lynsey's knees for never trusting her best mate.

They can't kill her, she needs to come out on top.

omg, I was gonna post about the chess pieces, it's already on here, lol. Sounds like we are in for a nail biting few epsiodes, Got Inside Soap magazine today, and Silas is really going to up the ante with Lynsey I see, putting all the responsibility on her for whether Mercy, who he has locked up, lives or dies.

In the magazine, there is a picture of Mercy tied up and Silas is next to her, she isn't blindfolded so obviously knows it's him. This must be the conclusion of the storyline I think, haven't heard anything about Jenny Metcalfe leaving?

Coronation Street star Graeme Hawley has revealed that he would like to land a Hollyoaks role in order to bag a full set of UK soap appearances.

The actor, who is best known for his role as Weatherfield's John Stape, previously played police officer Martin Crowe on Emmerdale and has also had parts in EastEnders and Doctors.

Hawley told PA: "It would be quite good to get the whole set. I was in EastEnders when I was nine years old, and I rode a bike across the Square and stood in a telephone box.

"So I have, technically speaking, done Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders. And I've been in Doctors, so it's just Hollyoaks and it's in the bag!"

John Stape is back on screen in Coronation Street next week as he returns to Weatherfield in time for his wife Fiz's murder trial.

The hapless villain is determined to make sure that Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is not sentenced for his crimes and ends up kidnapping Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) to testify in court on his behalf.

Coronation Street airs Fiz's trial episodes all next week on ITV1.

Meanwhile, Hollyoaks' Halloween episode sees a terrible turn of events as serial killer Silas Blissett commits another murder.

After spending a week terrifying Lynsey (Karen Hassan) with his vow to claim another victim at midnight on October 31, Silas is in his element as Fright Night arrives at Chez Chez.

The twisted villain ramps up the terror by dressing as the Grim Reaper, but only Lynsey can see his horrific intentions and nobody believes her when she tries to warn the villagers of the danger that everybody is in.

As the night draws to a close, Silas (Jeff Rawle) follows through with his threat and viciously attacks the partygoer who's wearing the Catwoman outfit. Soon afterwards, the village is left stunned as everyone realises that the serial killer has struck again…

I'll not be pleased if Lynsey dies because she's popular with viewers and will deserve her moment of vindication telling everyone I told you so, after the way they treated her.
