Looks like Birmingham will be in deserved trouble with the FA and lets hope they get harsh with the banning orders on the yobs.

Aye I know :( I've been optimistic up until now, but we're losing Timmy soon for 6 weeks to the Asia cup, and with our strikers being AWOL it's worrying.
Chelsea away
Wigan at home
Man City away

Our run of games between now and boxing day, can't even guarantee 6pts from that lot the way we're playing at the moment!

Indeed Reggie sauce! This is the same team (apart from Beckford) that went on that 18+ game unbeaten run end of last season and beat City, United, Chelsea and should have beat Arsenal away....they just need to pull their fingers out their arses some of them! Moysey needs to get tougher on them.

Made up with that point today, played more like the way I know we can, battered Chelsea in the 2nd half and were unlucky not to win, Rodders header that came off the post, I nearly died!
So happy for Beckford getting his second goal in the PL as well, Moyes needs to start him every game from now on, changed the whole game when he came on.
Another shocking ref, Malouda should have been off for the knee into Neville's face and the pen was dubious, Anelka jumped into Howard and played for it.
Can't complain too much though, feeling much more optimistic again, expect to see us batter the pie munchers at home next Sat if we play that way again :)

Can't believe we only managed to scrape a point after being a goal down for the majority of the match yesterday! Absolutely battered them and we were sh*t at the same time, honestly could have put 6 or 7 past them if we were more prolific in front of goal. Haven't seen a Championship side as poor as Preston in a long time, scored from a free-kick which wasn't even a free-kick.. may as well confirm their relegation already. xD
57% possesion
14 shots on target
11 shots off target
10 corners
How the feck did we not beat them?! Couple of good saves from Longeran and about 3 or 4 very lucky line clearances.. screw it, just need to hammer Boro next week!

Here he is, the man that knows Coventry would have beat Cardiff if King started
Linesman probably was a welsh nationalist.
TWO minutes into the cov cardiff game, a cardiff player dives in the box with little to no contact, the referee sees its a dive, laughs, tells him to get up and points for a goal kick. As he's starting to run back the linesman is going nuts on the sideline and is calling for his attention. The ref goes over to the linesman and they talk for about 30-40 seconds with everyone wondering what the hell is going on. Then just like that he points to the penalty spot and gives Cardiff a penalty.
Teams that squeeze out a point against PNE won't be finishing in the top 2 this season.
Top 6 (not in order) will be Coventry, QPR, Cardiff, Norwich, Leeds, Swansea.

He is turning into some player this season, I have always rated him but never knew how much potential he actually has until this season.. just danced past fulham's defence and made a very good goalkeeper look like a clown
Fabregas
Diaby
Nasri
Arshavin
Song
Rosickż
Theo Walcott
Wilshere
Denilson
^ That is some midfield
Its funny because a lot of people say Arsenal have no depth, but we were winning games with like 9 or 10 injruies last season..
It is pretty class.
Shame about GK/defense
Goalkeeper Fabianski has been playing very well.. thing is every single thing he does is scrutinised and analysed because its Arsenal and the media are hyping that the goalkeepers arent good enough.
And in Defence..
Wing backs
Sagna
Eboue
Clichy
Gibbs
Traore
Centre backs
Thomas Vermaelen
Laurent Kosicielny
Sebastien Squillaci
Johan Djourou
And Alex song is an amazing CB
So not bad really.

Arsene needs to just do intense defenisve training all the time, especially set pieces they panic like nothing else..when I was there they were ****ting themselves whenever the ball was in their half
Squilaci is different for me, he wins balls every where and is amazing once Vermaelen is back..
Then we have two class centre backs.
Koscielny and Djourou are learning..

Good win for Manchester City, they dominated Bolton and should have scored more than 1 goal. Chelsea only manage a draw at home to their bogey team Everton. Blackpool v Man United match called off despite there being no snow in West Lancashire. It was called off because Blackpool didn't pay for undersoil heating. Kick them out!
Dreadful performance from Cardiff with them needing to the referee to add on 5 minutes when there really should have only been 2 or 3. Can't see Cardiff going up unless they get lucky. Great win for Swansea coming from behind to beat Ipwich. They really are a wonderful team Swansea and they play great football too. It would be great for them to get into the Premier League and become the first Welsh team to play in it. Millwall got revenge for the 2009 League One play-off final defeat by beating S******phorpe 3-0.

Cant see how everton can complain about malouda sorry michelle, but neville come in behind on malouda and then kicked him without a chance of getting the ball.
We can complain because a free kick was given for Phil's tackle but then Malouda kneed him in the face!! Right in front of the ref and got away with it :nono: If Phil wasn't the professional he is and had rolled around on the floor making a meal of it ala Drogba then something might have been done about it, but he got up and walked away.
There was also Ivanovich's two footed lunge on Coleman that went 'unseen' and the kick on Saha that led to him being subbed (not gonna complain because he was **** but even so) and the fact that Anelka is a cheating bastard who ran into Howard to get that pen.
30stone
06-12-2010, 10:11 AM
But Phils was a yellow card challenge then he got up and kicked malouda without being near the ball.. it was pretty bad as he could have been off himself.
The penalty was ridiculous i give you that, howard didnt move and inch he stayed in the same place, when you watch it a few times you can see anelka didnt know which way to run, then tried to go round him to the left but had kicked the ball to far right so i think he just dint see howard..
Anelka ran right into howard nothign he could have done, and cant believe the commontators thinking he was gunna get sent off that would have been completely ridiculous.
You have to give a penalty for that though really, Anelka done him all ends up and instead of howard trying to dive for the ball he just stood there and anelka knew what he was doing, Obstruction and penalty, should have been red as well really
30stone
06-12-2010, 01:30 PM
Nah because howard made no move toward anelka he didnt brace himself for impact and was staring at the ball, If anelka wanted to he could have done something, but he wanted the pen once he kicked the ball to far away.

Glad that Young won't be playing against us tonight
"Goalkeeper Pepe Reina has kept 99 clean sheets in 197 league matches and is poised to reach the century landmark faster than any other Liverpool goalkeeper. The current record holder is Ray Clemence, who needed 217 league matches to reach 100 clean sheets."
Let's hope this is tonight.

Well our team tonight is (apparently):
Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Konchesky, Kuyt, Lucas, Meireles, Maxi, Torres, Ngog
So we're starting with two strikers which means we're looking for goals, would wait and see who Villa play down their right though, if it's someone decent that will beat Konchesky then yeah Over 2.5 goals is what I'll be going for.

Here's my predictions for the weekend's games;
Man City will hit 5 past West Ham with Grant sacked afterwards and Houghton appointed. Aston Villa and West Brom will end in a 1-1 draw with a last minute equaliser from Agbonlahor. Everton will easily beat Wigan 3-0. Fulham and Sunderland will be a 1-1 draw. Newcastle will beat Liverpool 1-0 with a last minute goal from Andy Carroll that goes in off his hand but still counts.
On Sunday, Bolton and Blackpool will be a boring 0-0 draw. Wolves will come from behind to beat Birmingham 3-1. Tottenham will thrash Chelsea 3-0 with Essien being sent off for a bad tackle on Jermain Defore who will then score an hat-trick.
On Monday, Arsenal will get a two goal lead in the first 10 minutes with goals from Van Persie and Arshavin. In the 2nd half Fabianski will let a weak shot go through his legs and into the back of the net. Man United will then be dominating but won't be able to find a way through until the 97th minute when Berbatov is fouled by Wilshere in the penalty area. Rooney steps up to take the penalty but puts it a mile over the bar. The match ends 2-1 to Arsenal.

Well as a Toon Army fan and since no Newcastle fans have posted as far as I know as of yet, I think I will post my views on the past week.
Sacking Chris Hughton just because the team hadn't won a league game since if i remember correctly Arsenal was the worst decision the club could have made. Yes they lost heavily to Bolton (who are a good, up and coming team may i add) and losing 3-1 to West Brom but it doesn't mean the gaffer should get the sack. The first season after a team gets promoted should be about survival with stability coming in the second and future seasons. With Chris Hughton they HAD that along with an impressive position in the league table.
Mike Ashley (who is an idiot but more on that later) then says he wants a manager with experience in place of Chris. Out of all the 3 main names that came up (O'Neil, Jol and Pardrew) he picked the manager who does have a lot of experience.. with RELEGATION! Out of the managers shortlisted, Pardrew was bottom of my list and most fans lists for that matter. I can only see one direction for the club as things stand and it ain't pretty either. However.. I will give Alan a few games before i judge fully whether he is the right man for the job or not.
I predict because of the events of this week that the players on the pitch will be effected and possibly lose heavily causing the team to drop into the bottom 5-6.
Mike Ashley is a complete joke too. Get him out as he has no clue what so ever. I haven't seen him funding once to help get players to strengthen the team, he sacks managers for really stupid reasons, doesn't listen to the fans and generally is ruining what was once a huge club. I mean what was his expectations for a club who was just promoted from the Championship? Champion's League? Title? Yea right, both of those are WAY off for time being even for a club with recent history like Newcastle.
As long as he is the owner, Newcastle will suffer from nothing but constant manager sackings, relegations and even selling key players. If Newcastle want to get anywhere near the European years from Keegan/Robson eras, Mike Ashley and his cronies MUST GO ASAP!
Ok rant over.
edit: May i add that Mike Ashley's treatment towards Chris was just terrible. No manager should ever be treated like that especially not one who was actually getting results for the club too and achieved so much with the little he had to work with in such a short time.

I would love to see Pardew out chants. Apparently he's known for a while he was going to be manager? Quite sly
1-0 Up i have Villa at evens to win in a double with One direction to win the X factor for an £80 payout

He was probably already told he was gonna be hired before Houghton was even sacked.
And don't worry about Pardew out chants, there will be plenty of those going along with Ashley out along with booing pre-match and at full-time and probably "There's only One Chris Hughton" being sung throughout the game too. There's lots of talk amongst fans about fans possibly boycotting both the game and merchandise along with Mike's company Sports Direct.

Amazingly.. it took 25 minutes for the first Premiership goal. The longest without a goal all season infact.

Danda what score are you thinking tonight?
I reckon Torres will get a couple for us today, Babel should be starting though but he is apparently left on the bench again :nono:
Danda what do you think about the Lovenkrands? I think he should be in your starting 11 personally

Well if this mess with the manager hadn't have happened this week, it would have been a close game with either team be able to snatch it. However.. this farce will really effect the players and their confidence and Liverpool are just finding their feet again.
The score will probably end up something like 3-0 to Liverpool or possibly 4-1 with Carroll getting a consolation goal. But no matter what the score is, you will definately hear the Newcastle fans' opinion about the whole situation going on at the club.
Danda what do you think about the Lovenkrands? I think he should be in your starting 11 personally
He's a decent player I think they should give him a chance up front with Carroll since Ameobi hasn't been in as good form in past few games compared to Lovenkrands. I think he should start against Liverpool in my opinion.

Great display from Newcastle after what was a pretty bad week for them. Barton, Carroll and Nolan were great and bringing on Ranger really unsettled the Liverpool defence. The first goal may or may not have been offside and Liverpool's goal was rather flukey but Barton's goal was well played and terrible defending by Liverpool and Carroll scoring a fantastic third goal from 25 yards.
By the way.. am I the only one who thinks Guiterrez isnt actually THAT good? Also Campbell has been a bit iffy too in last couple games.
That Toite looks like a really good player, great on the ball and he knows how to pass it around

I don't get why Liverpool are so inconsistent:conf:, dominant against Chelsea then against teams you should be beating drop important points but of course anything is possible in football.
LOL Super Mario Balotelli needs to curb his temper.. West Ham destroyed United in the cup and even though City dominated them it seemed they didn't try.. we were their cup final even though it wasn't in the league:p.
Still problems between players and Mancini there and I will have to laugh if Tevez does end up leaving as rumoured, I don't think he will.

We are so inconsistent because Roy Hodgson does not know how to make teams play away from home. His record is something like 14 away wins in his entire managerial career.
At home we go at teams and try to score, away from home we sit back, allow teams to come at us, and play the long ball. Fair enough if those tactics were against Chelsea and Man Utd, but not teams like Wigan and Newcastle. We don't even have a good defensive midfielder to play like that, Lucas is better playing further up the pitch and Poulsen is the biggest disgrace to ever wear a Liverpool shirt.

At least Roy always sees the positives regardless:D:joker:, he'll have to go back to the drawing board..
I agree, you guys need to be more attacking but fluent at the back so there's enough support.. I rate Poulsen, think he needs more time to fully get used to it here and improve his workrate.

There's only one solution tbh and that is to sack Hodgson. I'd like it to work out for him here but it just isn't going to happen.
Might aswell give him til the end of the season now anyway because we're ****ed this year either way.

Liverpool should have went for Martin O'Neill, although I do rate him he buckles when the pressure builds..

A much needed win for Aston Villa against West Brom. Everton are held to a dissapointing stalemate again. A great result for Pardew in his first match in charge. Hodgson should be sacked now, he's been given until December and Liverpool are still only in 9th position. He should admit he isn't good enough for the job and resign. It's a surprise that Blackpool won at the Brittania. Even the best teams in the league struggle to get anything from Stoke so it's a fantastic result for Blackpool. Man City ripped West Ham apart and could easily have won by more goals. West Ham are being cut adrift at the bottom.
What a great comeback from Leeds at Turf Moor. 2-0 down and end up winning 3-2. Middlesbrough beat Cardiff (Revenge for their 2008 FA Cup Quarter Final defeat). Cardiff are hitting bad form and will have to get back on form quick before they slip down the table. Preston beat Ipswich to pile more pressure on Keane. Is Keane getting sacked on Monday?

Balotelli has been terrible since joining Man City and caused more problems with his attitude than he has positives. Super? Super awful more like.
As for Liverpool, well to be fair to you Locke you are missing several key players like Gerrard, Carragher and someone else i forget who.. while Torres has too many off games leaving you with an average team. From watching last few seasons, Liverpool have never been that great and dipped in form when they have lost Gerrard and/or Torres.
As for the Toon-Scousers game well first half was really scrappy and pretty even. Beginning of first half Liverpool totally dominated and shown their quality but one good substitute in bringing on young Nile Ranger proved to be the undoing as he put a LOT of pressure on the defence.
