Obviously I hope United win, the pressure is more on Barcelona tbh because they are the big favourites and when they are at their best are unbeatable but they do have their weaknesses which United will have to try and exploit whilst trying to be at our best too:)..

Joey Barton not offered Newcastle deal? Surprised at that, I don't like the guy but he's played well for them.

I agree with you as to Joey Barton,I really rate the guy,he has played a the top of his game this season for them, this looks like more unrest for the Premier league side that sacks a Manager near every season, gets rid of managers who are around mid table and bring in a manager that doesn't improve on that, and then not respect or treat its best players correctly either.

No doubt if Barton leaves then the fans will moan and groan as usual and make all sorts of noises about how they want the Clubs set up changed yet in the end see it left as it was for history to repeat itself over and over again.

Newcastle will also stay one of the main also-rans of the Premier league, I actually think they are fortunate to still be in it.

They are also the only club in his whole career to actually 'sack' Sir Bobby Robson, yet they hail him now as their great hero. Hypocrites, and until they get new owners and allow a Manager to have most of the say, they will never achieve or win anything.

One man doesn't make a team, but without some people, it's a lot harder to have things working right, if they lose Joey Barton then next season they could find themselves demoralised 'again' and go down again too.

Nikica Jelavic has played down speculation of a move to Manchester United Football Club.

The Croatian international has recovered from injury to enjoy a fine debut season in Scotland, helping Rangers to the Premier League title.

He was quoted as saying United were interested in taking him from Ibrox Stadium in the summer, in a deal which worth a fee in the region of £13million.

However, Jelavic now seems to be backtracking on these claims, by insisting he is happy at his current club and is not considering an exit.

“Frankly, I do not think about leaving because I am loving it at Rangers,” he told the Daily Record. "We joked at Rangers about me leaving to go there. I don't think I need to push myself for sale."

I think at the time selling Phil was the right decision because he wasn't getting enough first team football but he's United through and through;).

I seen that article aswell. I do like Berbatov but he has too many flashes of inconsistency then all of a sudden he shows what a brilliant player he is. I do have sympathies with him not playing but Rooney and Hernandez have struck up such a fine partnership despite Berbatov being Utd top scorer.

He plays with the wrong attitude far too often, he's too lazy and he'll only put in a shift when he feels like it kind of thing. Definitely not worthy of the £32m you forked out for him IMO.

Don't think that would be such a bad thing for Villa tbh, never really rated him much as a manager and you never know it could possibly be health issues that are siding Houllier towards leaving.

Yep Hearts were picking up all the points against "the rest" but couldn't win the big games against the OF. Although they completely crumbled at the tail end of the season and almost missed out on 3rd, just hope they can continue that abysmal form of late into next season. But after just signing 3 decent players I can't see it, I think they'll finish 3rd again next season.

Our season can't really get much worse than the last, I'm still not totally convinced that Calderwood is the man to take us forward though, but I'm sick of us chopping and changing managers and it having no real good reflection on the team, we need to stick with the same man for a while and give them a chance. We'll scrape top 6 IMO.

Next season... Scottish Division 1 has 10 teams, top 8 teams next season should then be promoted to the SPL, don't relegate anyone next season. Then the SPL will have 20 teams, play eachother once home and away. Then you could merge Divisions 2 and 3 to make up 22 teams, play eachother once home and away. I know it's a bit of a **** way of going about it but once that is the system for a few years I think it would work.

Toche is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Segunda Liga side Cartagena.

The 28-year-old has scored 32 goals in under 60 games for Cartagena and his performances have not gone unnoticed from clubs across Europe.

Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is believed to have made a personal check on Toche, while Rangerschief Ally McCoist is scouring the transfer market for bargain signings.

Primera Liga outfit Villarreal are thought to have expressed an interest in Toche, while a number of Serie A and Portuguese Liga Sagres sides are believed to be keen on signing the target-man.

However, Toche is thought to favour a move to the UK and is waiting to see what offers come his way this summer.

It definitely didn't help him, but I think if Benitez was working under owners here that were prepared to back him with a decent transfer budget that he would have been the person to win us our first Premier League.

He got ****ed around by them too much, he'd be promised a certain amount of money and when the time came to spend it it wouldn't be there. He made the odd dodgy signing but then there are signings like Torres, Alonso, Garcia, Reina, Mascherano, etc. And he has to be given most of the credit for all the youth players coming through into our team this season.

On average he spent about £70 Million over his 5 year stay.. so around £14 Million per year.

A bit less than £200 mil overall, but we brought in over £120 mil from selling players

RANGERS have been offered the chance to sign German World Cup ace Torsten Frings.
The midfielder, 34, is looking for a new club after being told that he can leave Werder Bremen, although he has an offer to join their coaching staff.
But Frings wants to look at options which would let him play on and SunSport can reveal he's offered his services to Gers.
Boss Ally McCoist is considering him as an option.
He wants to add experience to his midfield and Frings had a magnificent career at the top level. He made 70 international appearances - playing in the World Cup in 2002 and 2006.
He's nearing the end of his career but it would be seen as a major coup for McCoist if he could lure him to Ibrox this summer.
Meanwhile, Gers target David Vaughan has opened talks with West Brom.
The Welsh international midfielder has been looked at by McCoist for a Bosman switch to Ibrox.
The 28-year-old has held talks with the SPL champs as well as Sunderland after his Blackpool contract expired.

Brad Freidel has signed for Spurs on a free transfer, looks like Arry is keeping Gomes as expected even if the guy is too inconsistent but is their best current GK by far at the moment.

As for Vaughan, he may be tempted by Champions League football and trophies with the Gers but it seems he may want to stay in the Premier League..

Robin Van Persie denies making any negative comments about Chelsea and Barcelona(might be the press stiring). The comments about Chelski are understandable because that situation is a farce but the Barcelona ones.. bit ironic for him to call them ''moaners'', if he said that of course when the Arsenal fans have had rightly every right to have a go at their players over the collapse of the season for them which was looking promising until the collapse against Barcelona and the unfortunate last minute loss at Birmingham.

Barcelona are winners, Arsenal need to improve for next season and do better so should concentrate on themselves.

They were in for him last year but he chose us over them, I don't see what Harry has saw in him this season which makes him think he is worth signing, but I'm glad. This is almost as good as signing a new player.

Poulsen, Konchesky, El Zhar, Degen and Jovanovic next :D

Some quotes from Tevez:

“Yes but Marbella is different from Manchester. You can buy a holiday house in Marbella, but I’m never going back to Manchester, not even on holiday, not for anything.

“Of course I would buy a house in Marbella.

“The weather, everything. Manchester has nothing.

“For example in Marbella you can buy a house by the beach, relax there and later you can go there on holiday and everything.

“But a house in Manchester? On top of that a house in Manchester costs six or seven million pounds. Pounds!

Yeah it was
Spain must of been really pissed off that they lost to america in 2009 i think they brung out the better players in the 2nd half and the final score was 4-0 I'm just going to go into a corner anyway now. This isn't good for the Gold Cup (North America's Version of the Euro Cup)

Liverpool have agreed a deal with Roma to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Doni, it is understood. Sky Sports Italia report that the two clubs have agreed a fee and the Reds will now discuss personal terms with the player ahead of his prospective move to Anfield.

Liverpool have been in the market for a goalkeeper after accepting that their current second and third choices, Brad Jones and Peter Gulacsi, would be transferred and loaned out this summer, respectively. Having missed out on American veteran Brad Friedel, Kenny Dalglish turned his attentions to the considerably younger, yet still experienced Doni.

Having established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A between 2006 and 2008, the now 31-year-old earned a contract extension that would keep him at the club until 2o12. In the following seasons, though, he lost his place to Artur and Júlio Sérgio as injury prevented him staking a serious claim between the sticks.

Martin Jol new manager of Fulham:). What a good appointment for them and I think they will do well next season with some more players added to their exisiting squad.

That will be gutting for Villa since Ancelotti has ruled himself out of going there but Rafa or as some calling him (Fat Spanish Waiter:conf:) is still available and is a better option than Steve McClaren and his faux Dutch accent:joker:.
