Last time Arsenal won at Old Trafford was 2006, I thought they had quite a good record there
I have Walcott last goal at 11/1
Diaby first goal at 16/1
Arsenal to win 2-0 at 20/1

If Arsenal are to be taken seriously as title contenders they need to be winning here.
It remains a two horse race as far as I'm concerned. Prove me wrong, Arsenal.

I know:shocked:, the impatience is getting worse. When Fergie first started at United it took him a while to get things running off the ground and that turned out for the best. Even Wenger needed time at Arsenal.

Exactly, teams are far to quick to get rid of their managers now, they're always gonna need time. I suppose it's possible there could have been some conflict with him and the owners though, Allardyce does have quite a big ego

I'd laugh if that is the case, this current United side is very average for me and Arsenal won't have a better chance to come away from Old Trafford with 3 points.

When man united came to Arsenal last season...
It was Arsenal 1 - 2 United.
But United had ONE shot on target.
from a Rooney DIVE
And the other goal was from Diaby in his own net.

Locked up an ok win.
Had u1.5 goals in the match tonight. Almost took 0-0 at 14-1, but went for the safer option, lucky I did :)
Had a small amount on Man U at 1.98 also.

What has happened to Clichy in the last 2 seasons, 30stone?
Used to be a good left back, but he has been poor for ages now and was easily the worst player on the pitch last night (yes, even worse than Chamakh). Out of his depth.

Vidic and Ferdinand were quality, we kept trying to play it in the air and it didnt work.

Sky Sports News showed Arsenal's record against Chelsea and Manchester United recently, it is shocking but they still have another 2 fixtures in second half of the season to try again:p.
Me and my bro's mate is a Gunners fan Ben and he watched the match with us last night, he was criticial of the centre backs a lot. Wenger blaming the pitch is a pathetic excuse, it's not perfect but it's about the performance and he got his tactics wrong and got outsmarted by Fergie.

van der Sar great keeper, Ferdinand and Vidic great centre back pair, Evra is one of best FBs in world both attack and defence and Rafael is gettin better and better

Lets be honest here, Chamakh is not good enough for where Arsenal want to be. That miss was shocking. Good in the air some may argue, but he wasn't good in the air the other night. If that was him playing well then he is even worse than I thought.

I totally agree with your post and nice to see another United fan here:). We normally play better in the second half but are now top of the table with a game in hand, some will say it's luck or whatever.. it's typical United sometimes we grind the results out when we are playing rubbish and it's all down to the great team spirit Fergie has embedded in them:).
However our midfield needs strengthening, we'll need a new goalkeeper when Edwin retires at the end of the season then rebuilding the team when Neville, Giggs, Scholes, Rio etc eventually retire also.
Sad news about the Rushen and Diamonds keeper Dale Roberts dying at just 24 years old:(, hanged himself after finding out his missus was shagging John Terry's brother:shocked:.

Coventry vs Norwich tomorrow. 5th vs 6th in the league, a very important game.
Bookies have Coventry as a favourite by a small margin, I think it is closer than that. Both teams are strong at the moment and it should be a great game. Coventry going for their 5th clean sheet in a row.

Here's my predictions for the Last 16;
Barcelona will rip Arsenal apart beating them 2-1 at the Emirates and 5-0 at the Nou Camp. Tottenham will get past AC Milan on away goals. Man United will draw 1-1 at the Veledrome but lose 1-0 at Old Trafford with a last minute goal from Brandao. Chelsea will lose in Copenhagen but easily beat them at Stamford Bridge and go through on aggregate. Inter will edge out Bayern, Roma will beat Shaktar, Real Madrid will be too good for Lyon and Valencia will knock Schalke out.
Match going ahead Coventry City have confirmed the Championship match against Norwich City tomorrow at the Ricoh Arena is going ahead as planned. There has been snow in Coventry with some areas having at least three inches of snow. However with undersoil heating and fibres in the grass which also keep out the cold, the pitch is playable. It is understood that the overseas television channels which take English Championship football could possibly be showing the game live.

Arsenal game called off is dissapointing :(
Very frustrating result at the Ricoh today, not helped by a very incompetent referee. You only have to look at his record (http://www.football-lineups.com/referee/1111) to see that he's a card giving machine.
A few minutes into the game, with our striker one on one with the last defender, he got a forearm to the head, and put in a half nelson and dragged to the ground inside the box and the ref said play on.
We then got a yellow card for a very average challenge.
Then we got a red card for an awkward 2 footed challenge, there wasn't any major contact but the Norwich guy milked it for all it was worth, the ref said free kick and then his assistant overuled him in his earpiece and he went straight to a red. That's twice this season now that the assistant has overruled the ref to give a big game decision that's cost us the game (the last being a penalty against us vs cardiff).
Then we were down to 10 men, and Norwich scored in the 2nd half to go 1-0 up.
A bit later on superstar striker Marlon King scored a great goal to make it 1-1 with Coventry on 10 men.
http://www.ccfc.co.uk/javaImages/ba/83/0,,10269~9077690,00.jpg
With 10minute left Coventry hit the post from a really tight angle which would have been incredible had it gone in.
Then the idiotic ref showed just how terrible he was when Marlon King tackled a player and bought him down (foul). The ref was running up pitch at the time and didn't see the challenge, but when he turned around he saw the Norwich guy crying around on the floor. He then went over to Clive Platt and gave him a yellow card. A man who was probably 10-15 feet away and not even involved in the tackle or any post tackle confrontation. A complete bystander in the challenge getting booked. We will appeal that and hopefully the ref will get some penalty for booking an innocent man.
With 4 minutes to go Norwich scored from a corner after we defended it pretty badly.
Final score: Coventry 1 - 2 Christopher Sarginson

Your defence needs sorting out and more reinforcements;).
United had lots of defensive injuries last season and the replacements were capable enough to fill in and played well apart from a few blips here and there, to finish a point Chelsea behind showed the strength in depth. I think Arsenal need more experience/older players to push on if you're to out up a much more close fight for the title.

Jamie Carragher is one of a select few Englishmen who have been identified by the FA as a potential future international coach.
England's governing football body have revealed they're keen to fast-track the Liverpool vice-captain into their coaching set-up, along with others such as David James, Paul Scholes, Gary and Phil Neville.

Vermaelen back would be a massive boost too!
He's a strange one Vermaelen, without a doubt will be a boost to see him return but is prone to a gaffe from time to time (and usually in the bigger matches).
He's reasonable a lot of the time, but he'll often make a mistake which costs a goal, he's like Titus Bramble, although his mistakes are a lot more obvious than Vermaelen's. Top player 4 I don't know, but he's probably Arsenals best defender at the moment, which is quite worrying.
However, the french centre back, won the lottery when Arsenal signed him. He's well out of his depth.
I honestly can't imagine how frustrating it must be to be an Arsenal fan.

He's reasonable? He solid, player 45 games last season a few weeks through injury.. scored 8 goals, and was a fantastic defender, one of the top 6 centre backs in the premier league last season imo.
Wish we signed Jan Vertonghen from ajax.
And Sagna is class imo.. great player.
Koscielny isn't that great but hes actually quite solid in MOST games, against united he was great, and so was squilaci actually hes very solid defensively, i wonder who wil start in the team when Vermaelen returns..

Fulham will beat West Ham 2-0 with goals from the Texan Clint Dempsey. Blackburn will lose 3-0 at home to Stoke in Kean's first game in charge. Blackpool v Liverpool will be called off due to a frozen pitch. Everton and Birmingham will be a bore 0-0 draw. Sunderland will get a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford. Newcastle will beat Man City 3-1 with Carroll scoring an hat-trick. Villa will beat Tottenham 1-0 and miss a penalty.
In Monday's game Chelsea will beat Arsenal 2-0.

Roy is the one who signed Konchesky, Roy is the one who signed Poulsen, Roy is the one who signed Cole and gives him over a hundred grand every week, and Roy is the one that is in charge of the players and tells them what to do. Playing Meireles on the wing again when he has never played well out there. And everytime Torres and Ngog play together we **** up.

Fredrik Ljungberg has signed for Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic FC until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old forward, who won two Premier League titles and three FA Cups with Arsenal FC between 1998 and 2007, could make his debut against rivals Rangers FC on Sunday. "He's done very well in the two days we've seen him," said Celtic manager Neil Lennon after Ljungberg had passed a medical.
"I've seen more than enough to know he would be a good addition. There's a bit of hunger about Freddie. He's a consistent player and has been for a long time." Ljungberg began his career – during which he has won 75 Sweden caps – at Halmstads BK, before spending a decade in England with Arsenal and West Ham United FC. He has spent the past two seasons playing in the United States.
He could make his debut against Rangers on sunday, should be fun watching him get kicked off the pitch...

Dunne has cost us at least 4-5 games this season, and NRC hasnt. He was solid this season until he got injured. Ireland hasnt put the effort in and whenever he's got his chance he hasnt taken it.
Martin O'neill didn't leave because of the fans, he left because Randy wouldn't continue giving him the amount of money he was given in the past. Because lets face it, although he had some good signings, he was pretty terrible overall. Curtis Davies, bought him for 10million or something, big wages, yet hardly played. This has got to take the biscuit if you're an owner pumping your own money.
That idiot left us in the mare this season. I don't blame Houllier much whatsoever. If O'Neill had any intentions of quitting he should of done it far earlier on.
Houllier will hopefully be backed in January and get some of his own players in who actually want to play for him then we will slowly get ourselves out of this mess. It only takes a 2-3 wins and we would be back in the top half of the Premier League, it's that tight.

Chels, is it true that Cardiff have signed John 'donkey' Parkin?
Has Jones lost the plot? :joker:
Craig bellamy has had a stinker on loan at Cardiff, the fans were expecting him to be scoring in every game
Watford on a good run at the moment. Last 3 results:
Watford 3 - 2 Leicester
QPR 1 - 3 Watford
Watford 4-1 Cardiff.
Coventry take on Roy Keane tomorrow in a real must win game for both sides. A Coventry win could see Keane get fired, or an Ipswich win could see Coventry get pushed mid table.
Norwich v QPR is going to be a great game tomorrow also.
No new years eve celebrations for me tonight. Have to be at the stadium for 8am tomorrow morning :(

Today player jumps in with studs up, and goes into Fabregas' ankle... Hows that not a red? Essien got a red for the same thing and he didnt touch the man..
And Bowyer, he stamped on sagna for no reason, and he took him out by stamping down on his ankle whilst he was still standing ref missed it both times, hes a dirty wanker.

Referees are definetly going downhill in terms of inconsistency, they should be made to explain why they didn't take the necessary action when there has been clear fouls which equal to a sending off or penalties etc or miss other incidents that may happen.

That's our best squad at the minute, and that is better than most in the league.. Only teams with a better squad then that are City, Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, and Chelsea.
Could do with getting rid of one of Skrtel or Kygriakos and bringing in a new CB (we're linked with Mertesacker). Really need to bring in a new striker, hoping the sources from inside the club are true and we are after Adebayor. A consistent left winger is needed aswell.

Cardiff conceded 7 in their last two.
Middlesbrough 2.52
v
Norwich 3.00
Autobet here.
The line is ridiculous, probably one of the worst match odds I've seen this season. Norwich have a strong side at the moment, Grant Holt is in great form and they have good momentum. A win over QPR, a 4-2 win a few days ago. Lost 1 in their last 10.
Middlesbrough are starting to find form, but that form is beating the odd bad team and scraping out a few draws. They are 20th in the league.
Unfortunatly the championship is so unpredictable - any team can beat any team more so than you see in the premiership, but even given that risk, the exposure to those odds it's got to be worth a bet.

"The Scot made his comments as he prepared to lose Lee Bowyer for at least three matches after television footage showed the midfielder stamping on Bacary Sagna's right leg and raking his studs down the defender's achilles in two separate incidents during Arsenal's 3-0 victory on Saturday.
The FA is set to charge Bowyer with violent conduct tomorrow after Peter Walton, the referee at St Andrew's, confirmed he missed both offences. Bowyer seems certain to receive a three-match ban for stamping on Sagna, and the suspension could be doubled if Walton also deems the second challenge worthy of a straight red card. The latter scenario, however, seems unlikely, according to FA sources.
Although McLeish refused to discuss the incidents involving Bowyer because he felt it was "inappropriate" before the FA announced its verdict, the Birmingham manager made it clear he will not defend the indefensible."
He said how nasri should have been punished.. yet Nasri got took out before the incident..

Liverpool have made an enquiry to Manchester City for Emmanuel Adebayor, skysports.com understands.
The Togolese star is one of a number of City players who have been linked with a move this January.
The former Arsenal striker is far from being first choice under Roberto Mancini and the imminent arrival of Edin Dzeko will push him further down the pecking order.
Now a host of clubs are making contact with City to register their interest in taking the 26-year-old.
Loan
And skysports.com understands that Liverpoolare the latest club to express an interest.
However, they are not the only club looking at Adebayor, with Tottenham, West Ham and even Real Madrid linked with a move.
Liverpool would currently only be in the market to take Adebayor on loan given his wages and possible fee, with City unlikely to accept a cut-price deal for a player they paid over £25million for just 18 months ago.
But should City allow him to move on loan, then the Anfield club would hope to be in pole position to land him.
