Well a significant factor also is that for the last 3 games Birmingham have had to play a part or even the majority of time in a match with 10 men.

I hope they don't go down and find that spirit and one big effort that won them the Carling Cup against all the odds.

They are far from easy matches, for Wigan and Blackpool, Stoke will want to finish in the top half of the table, Man Utd, always the great crowd pleasers have on paper a very easy chance for a rampant end to their season.

As I said earlier though Tottenham will want that 5th place in the Premier league so will be all out for a win too.
If all 3 are going to get beat I hope it's by no more than 1 or 2 goals for Birmingham by Tottenham, I hope Man Utd do show their style and beat Blackpool by a clear 2 goals and also that Stoke beat Wigan by 1 or 2 goals too.

That's likely the best Birmingham can hope for but they may even get one of those draws that have been their downfall this season,that on the last day of the season ironically may be all they need.

Of most of the teams in the lower part of the table. Birmingham lost the least games, their downfall was too many draws,just a couple of more goals in a couple of matches and relegation would never have been an issue.

I feel,although there will be intitally some internal problems,things will get sorted and that they will bounce back next season.
They likely need a new manager,but they are too good for the Championship,this was the closest relegation battle for ages and in the end only 1 point decided things.

They must though lose the settling for a draw and make sure the wins come thick and fast.

That last 10 minutes watching the results change on Saturday,(although I was obviously very sad for Birmingham and me as they did far better at Tottenham than many would have said they could),but that last 10 minutes of matches was the most exciting relegation decider I have ever come across.

As you said somewhere else, at least with Birmingham, you get excitement and they sure aren't boring.

It was a three year contract to be the main sponsor, which I thought has now ended - but it seems they are sticking around and apparantly their logo is on the shorts for next season. They used to run an article about STFC in every magazine, not sure if they still do but was always a good read.
